Mia first shouted "Okay!", then raised the corners of her mouth and nodded vigorously.

"Come on, the customers are coming! Speak up! No matter how bad the times are, there needs to be a place where everyone can enjoy their meal!"

With a smile on her face, Mia shouted these words in her bold voice.

Cute girls in uniforms gathered in front of the shop, following the shop owner's instructions.

With smiles on their faces, they greeted the customers and shouted in unison:

Welcome to the bountiful mistress!

Chronicles of the Families Episode: Ryukyu Afterword

This is the first episode of the new spin-off series of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Even though there were already other spin-off works for this series, this brand new spin-off was still added in the end.

The so-called "Family Chronicles" series, in my personal opinion, is a series that aims to depict as many characters as possible. The first spin-off of this series features a popular spirit from the main story who works at a bar, though the protagonist of the next installment will likely be played by a different person (of course, I imagine the same character will have several opportunities to appear in different parts of the story). Since this is a fragment of history (a chronicle), I intend to write here about the past of other characters that the main story and spin-offs haven't had time to cover.

Regarding the bar fairy who appears this time, I was quite troubled about how much to depict her, as I planned to give her a significant role in the main story. After careful consideration, I decided to write "Completely Destroy the Biggest Casino (gran casino)!", which takes place between volumes six and seven of the main story, and "This is a Bountiful Bar ~Girl meets Girls~", which takes place before the start of the main story and follows the girls with dark pasts as they meet their bar colleagues. The former is a short story that was previously serialized in Gangan GA, while the latter is a completely new chapter included in this book.

Although I wrote all the content myself, I found the most interesting part to be the locations where bounty hunters and assassins had once lived. While I initially had the premise that "they all seem to have this kind of past," as I wrote, even I, as the author, was taken aback and exclaimed, "Huh, was she a member of that god's kin back then?" These unexpected connections were something I, as the author, readily accepted, and they also reminded me that bringing together unexpected characters might be the essence of this work. Additionally, I'll occasionally reveal some background information related to the main story or side stories here, hoping that this part will also bring enjoyment to the readers.

Next, we will move on to the acknowledgments section.

To editors Kotaki, Kitamura, and the entire GA Bunko editorial department, please continue to offer your support for this series. Including Niritz-sensei, whose cover art is absolutely stunning, let's continue to work together! I also extend my deepest gratitude to Gangan GA and related staff who lent a helping hand during publication. Most importantly, thank you to all the readers who have perused this book. Although this work is divided into several parts, I sincerely ask for your continued support.

I think this spin-off series will be published as short stories on the GanganGA website before it is officially published as a book.

I hope to write a story about the goddess's familiars next time... In short, I hope to see you all again in the next episode.

Thank you for reading this far, goodbye.

"Thank you for coming, Mr. Crannie. I look forward to your guidance."

"I...I should be the one asking for your guidance!!"

In the early morning before the sun had risen, Bell stood in the courtyard of the bar, returning the hand that Ryu had extended.

A few days after the casino riot, Bell, who had arranged to do morning training with Ryu, was about to begin his first session. He stood before Ryu, who was dressed lightly and holding a wooden sword, and gripped his unsharpened training dagger.

"I'm so sorry to trouble you with this difficult request so early in the morning..."

"No, no, that's not true! It's my greatest honor to practice with someone as strong as you, Miss Ryu!"

Bell panicked and blurted out, "I want to become stronger too!" To achieve his dream, receiving personal guidance from a former top adventurer held immense significance for him.

(After receiving guidance from Miss Ais... Miss Ryu will be my second master... Of course, that's just a joke.)

Bell smiled with secret relief. Ryu, standing opposite him, narrowed his eyes slightly.

"You have a good eye... You're right, if you want to stay by Seele's side, you must become stronger."

"what?"

"Initially, I just wanted you to train with me, but I've decided to change my plans. I've decided to incorporate real combat training into my workouts, including the ones we do together."

Unable to understand what the other person was referring to, Bell intuitively sensed a very ominous atmosphere in the room, but it was already too late.

"—Training begins."

The elf, with a gaze as sharp as a knife, unveiled this merciless training process instead of a declaration.

Bell couldn't remember what happened next.

"Get up quickly. Let's try again."

"How long are you planning to lie on the ground? Let's try again."

"The enemy won't wait for you. You'd be dead already. Try again."

"Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!" "Again!"

When Bell regained his senses, he was already lying face down on the ground, making intimate contact with the cold earth.

(So Miss Ryu is the same way, able to adopt such intense (Spartan) training methods without batting an eye...)

The boy, who should have already reached level 3, was easily knocked unconscious by a level 4 spirit.

"...I think I went too far."

"Ryu! This isn't something you can easily brush off with a few words, meow—!!"

Liu remained silent, looking down at the boy she had wrecked. In twenty seconds, she would be severely reprimanded by Xi'er, who would rush to the scene after hearing her colleagues' exclamations.

Countless stone-structured spaces are located deep underground, where sunlight never reaches.

In the stone chamber where the cold air was thick, screams suddenly erupted.

"Healer, hurry up!! Anything, items or anything, hurry up!?"

The roars of the Loki Familia members rose and fell, with the injured cat-person Anaquiti yelling repeatedly, her voice almost tearing her throat apart.

Knossos, an artificial labyrinth.

The Loki Familia is trapped in a chaotic underground labyrinth from which they cannot escape.

The Loki Familia's main team was temporarily cornered inside the labyrinth, but fortunately, Riveria and others who had invaded the labyrinth came to their aid. Centered around Ais and Bert, the team regrouped and returned to the labyrinth to rescue their companions left underground.

Then Ais and the others heard the "scream" and went to the area, which was a scene of carnage stained with blood.

"Ah ...

"No way, this can't be a scam!? Please don't do this, please...!"

"Damn it! Lloyd! You bastard!"

Companions and close friends who shared joys and sorrows lay lying in pools of blood.

Accompanied by the word "death".

Bloodstains splattered everywhere on the stone walls and slate floor. The labyrinthine stone chamber can now be described as the "Red House," a testament to the horrific tragedy that unfolded there. Some were slashed, others stabbed; all bore the same common wound. It tells the viewer that this tragedy was not the work of a monster.

In a corner, a sentence in Koine was scrawled in blood: "You deserve it, hero!"

The clown badge, fallen to the ground and splattered with blood, shed a red tear.

"He's still breathing here!"

Upon hearing this from his colleague, the therapist who had arrived at the scene quickly ran over.

The healing spell was cast, the light almost hitting the wounded, however...

"No...it's no use."

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh...!"

The deep, bone-revealing wounds showed no signs of healing, even with potions. Blood and tears continued to flow from the inside of the armor, and before the desperate members of the guild, another familiar comrade breathed his last.

"A cursed weapon... just like the sword that wounded the commander...!"

Blood-red spots dripped from Raul's clenched fist.

This is the "Incurable Curse." Those wounded by a cursed weapon cannot receive healing; being afflicted by this curse is like being possessed by death. As if to shatter the group's hopes, all those who fell were left with severe, fatal wounds from the cursed weapon.

"There's no way to break the curse!?"

"Who...whoever wants to get it, hurry up and get it!!"

Annaquite and Raul knew that the shouts coming from their throats were meaningless.

Ais, who was also running around searching for survivors, was in the same boat.

Ais and Raul, among others, stayed in the faction for a particularly long time and witnessed the deaths of their comrades several times.

The lingering scent of death, which they loathed most, made this stone chamber undoubtedly an adventurer's "graveyard."

"..."

Among them.

Among the chaotic group members, only one person, Bert, silently watched the scene unfold, standing still.

He seemed to find it all meaningless, suppressing his emotions, even his amber eyes were frozen.

"!Line!!"

"...Ai, Ais... little..."

Deep within the stone chamber, Ais ran toward a girl she had found.

The young healer, named Linne Ashe, like her companions, had several diagonal lines of blood etched into her body. Ais put her arm around her shoulder and lifted her from the floor, but her body was weak and limp, barely alive.

The dagger embedded in her abdomen was a cursed short sword that had sucked the blood of her companions.

It was as if it were deliberately done for the Loki Familia to mock her; the short sword pierced her body like a tombstone.

Ais, her face contorted with rage, drew the cursed blade that had humiliated Linne until now and tossed it aside.

No, it's too late.

The Fiora's eyes saw off her many companions on their final journey, whispering that the girl was beyond saving.

Ais's face was contorted with grief, and Linne, who was close by, saw her expression and looked surprised, her lips curving slightly.

soon……

"Bert, sir..."

The werewolf stopped in front of Ais, its shadow covering them.

His amber eyes looked down at Ais, who was looking up at him, and at Linne, whose gaze was slightly tilted and who was on the verge of death.

The werewolf youth then scoffed:

"It's awful. That's why I said small fry only get in the way."

The lighthearted mockery that shouldn't exist in the bloody graveyard, and that cold laugh, shocked Ais utterly.

Bert kept talking.

His teeth were showing, and the corners of his mouth were constantly turned up.

"You and the others died in vain. Curse your own naivety and weakness until you die, until you never forget it. Be ashamed of yourself until you die, and don't stop until you've kicked the bucket in a shameful way."

The members of the group, unable to suppress their sobs, and the adventurers who tightly embraced their companion's body, all eyes and gazes were fixed on the young man's retreating figure.

Enduring the gaze of the crying weak, the strong told her:

"Farewell forever. You are never to appear before me again. Stay hidden in your lair and don't come out."

Bert's laughter echoed loudly in the stone chamber.

Raul and Annaquite glared at him fiercely, as if they were enemies.

Many members shed tears, their brows contorted with anger.

Ais, who was standing nearby, also raised her eyebrows and tried to stand up—but she stopped herself.

Seeing those amber eyes twisted into a shape of insult, and hearing the last whispered sentence, Ais couldn't bring herself to slap him.

"…………ah."

Lina opened her eyes wide.

Finally, she managed a barely perceptible smile before her hands lost all strength.

With her eyelids slightly closed, a tear mixed with blood slid down her cheek.
