Half a day later, a lush, unnamed island came into view.

The island boasts beautiful scenery and lush forests, with a clear waterfall cascading down in the center and flowing into a turquoise lake, making it look like a secluded paradise.

"Hahaha! Finally, I can stand on solid ground!"

Gatz was the first to excitedly jump off the boat, his massive body leaving two huge footprints on the sand.

"I want to go hunting! I want to eat a whole roasted pig!"

The crew members disembarked one after another. Some went hunting in the forest, some went to the lake to fetch water, and some gathered in twos and threes on the beach to enjoy the long-lost sunshine and tranquility.

Raine, carrying his food box, walked alone into the depths of the island.

He could sense that the island contained a very pure natural energy, and that he should be able to find some good wild ingredients and spices.

However, just as Raine walked through a dense forest and arrived at the waterfall, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Ryan's extraordinary sense of smell detected an unusual scent in the air.

It wasn't the stench of wild animals, nor the fragrance of plants.

It was a faint, human-like scent, a mixture of gunpowder, steel, and strong liquor.

Moreover, it seems that quite a few people own this smell.

Rein frowned almost imperceptibly as he slowly released his Observation Haki.

The next second, his eyes sharpened.

In a huge cave behind the waterfall, he sensed the presence of dozens of life forms.

Those auras were mostly chaotic and filled with violence, clearly not benevolent beings.

Among them, some auras were not weak, and some even faintly reached the level of naval officers.

It seems that this so-called uninhabited island is not as peaceful as it appears on the surface.

The sound of the waterfall was like thunder, drowning out all other sounds inside and outside the cave.

Ryan didn't make a fuss immediately. He knew that with Newgate's strength, dealing with these rats hiding in the hole would be a piece of cake.

But what intrigued him even more was why this group of people would choose to hide on such a desolate island, far from any village or shop.

Are they pirates seeking temporary refuge? Or is it a secret base of some underground organization?

Renn retreated silently, his figure disappearing into the shadows of the jungle, like the most patient hunter, quietly observing his prey.

About half an hour later, there was finally some movement inside the cave.

Two burly pirates with curved swords hanging from their waists and faces full of scars emerged from behind the waterfall, cursing and swearing. They carried two empty buckets, apparently out to fetch water.

"How much longer do we have to stay in this godforsaken place?!"

One of the tall pirates kicked a pebble away and complained impatiently.

"We've almost run out of fresh water on board, and all we have left to eat are some moldy bread rusks. If this continues, we'll starve to death here before the navy even comes knocking!"

"Keep your voice down!"

Another short, stout pirate looked around warily and lowered his voice.

"If the captain hears this, you're in big trouble! He's not in a good mood right now."

"Can I not know?"

The tall pirate curled his lip: "Ever since that damned Rayleigh slashed him in the Sabaody Archipelago, the captain's temper has gotten worse every day, and he takes it out on us all the time."

Shh! Don't mention that name!

The short, stout pirate turned pale with fright; "That was Roger's first mate, a monster many times stronger than our captain! We're already incredibly lucky to have escaped from him!"

Roger? Rayleigh?

In the jungle, a knowing glint flashed in Renn's eyes.

It seems this group of people are defeated by the Roger Pirates and have come here to lick their wounds.

I just don't know who their captain is.

Just as the two pirates finished fetching water and were preparing to return to their cave, a huge shadow suddenly loomed over them.

The two looked up in shock and saw a huge face magnified dozens of times, filled with honesty and curiosity.

"Hey, you two, what are you doing here?"

Gatz's voice boomed like a bell. He had just killed a huge wild boar and was carrying it back when he happened to run into these two sneaky guys.

The two pirates were terrified when they saw Gatz's mountain-like body and the giant boar on his shoulder that was still dripping blood. They even dropped the buckets of water they were holding.

"Weird...monster!"

The two screamed and turned to run into the cave.

"Hey? Don't run away!"

Gatz hadn't figured out the situation yet; he just wanted to ask for directions and see where there were bigger prey on the island.

He took a step forward, and his huge foot slammed down, knocking the two pirates off their feet.

The pirates inside the cave heard the commotion outside and immediately became alert.

"what happened?!"

"There are enemies!"

Amidst a cacophony of shouts, dozens of pirates wielding various weapons burst forth from behind the waterfall. Leading them was a burly man carrying a massive spiked club and sporting a menacing scar on his face.

His pupils constricted sharply when he saw his two henchmen lying on the ground and Gatz standing there like a demon.

"who are you?!"

The scarred man shouted in a deep voice, and he could feel the terrifying, domineering aura emanating from Gatz.

"Me?"

Gatz scratched his head and grinned. "My name is Gatz. I'm here to hunt. Do you have any bigger pigs here?"

He pointed to the prey on his shoulder.

This nonsensical answer left Scarface and his men stunned.

Is this guy... a little off his head?

"Hunting? Hmph, I think you're just here to die!"

A fierce glint flashed in the scarred man's eyes. He didn't care who the other party was; on this vast ocean, might makes right.

"Men, charge! Chop him up for dinner tonight!"

"Oh!"

The pirates let out a shout and surged towards Gats like a tidal wave.

"Hahaha! Time to stretch my muscles again!"

Seeing this, Gatz was not afraid at all. Instead, he excitedly threw the wild boar on his shoulder to the ground, swung the giant anchor, and charged forward.

A comical battle ensued, where the odds were completely mismatched.

Gatz was like a Tyrannosaurus Rex that had stumbled into a flock of sheep. Every swing of the massive anchor was like a merciless battering ram, smashing the pirates to pieces, leaving them battered and bruised.

The pirates' swords couldn't even leave a white mark on him; instead, they were stunned by his steel-like muscles, which made their hands go numb.

Seeing that things were going badly, the scarred captain personally charged forward with his spiked club.

As a result, Gatz struck him with the anchor, bending the spiked club at a ninety-degree angle on the spot. He himself was sent flying like a ball, crashing through seven or eight large trees before coming to a stop, foaming at the mouth and unconscious.

The entire process takes no more than five minutes.

When Newgate, Oden, and the others arrived, they found pirates lying on the ground groaning, and Gatz carrying the anchor, looking like he hadn't had enough.

"what happened?"

"Newgate asked."

"I don't know, Captain."

Gatz looked completely innocent: "I just asked for directions, and they rushed up to me and tried to hit me."

Everyone: "..."

Just then, Renn emerged from the jungle.

He glanced at the prisoners on the ground, then at the scarred captain who had been knocked unconscious, and said calmly, "These people are the Buzz Pirates. Captain Buzz has a bounty of 120 million Berries and is quite well-known in the New World. It seems he offended someone he shouldn't have recently and that's why he's hiding here."

His intelligence was so accurate it was like a walking encyclopedia.

"One hundred and twenty million? Is that all you've got?"

Gatz pursed his lips, feeling that he hadn't even warmed up yet.

"Gulalalalala, since we've met, it must be fate."

Newgate laughed loudly, walked up to the group of prisoners, and said in an unquestionable tone, "Their ships and treasures are an apology for disturbing our rest."

Upon hearing this, the pirates' faces contorted in a grimace, worse than death itself.

All the wealth they had painstakingly accumulated over half a lifetime was wiped out in one fell swoop by a monster that seemed to have a dim head.

"Alright, now that the problem is solved, we should prepare lunch."

Ryan clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention.

"Today's main course is this jungle porcupine that Gatz just hunted. I'm going to use volcanic rock and the island's unique spices to make a primitive-style stone-grilled meat for everyone."

"Ooh ooh ooh! Barbecue! Barbecue!"

Upon hearing that there was food, everyone's eyes lit up, and the trivial little conflict from before was instantly forgotten.

For these monsters, nothing is more important than eating.

If so, then it's two meals.

A huge bonfire was lit on the beach, and Raine directed the group to place a large slab of volcanic rock over the fire, then spread thick slices of porcupine meat on top.

Shila-

The grease dripped onto the scorching hot stone slab, making a pleasant sound. A powerful aroma, a blend of meaty, spice, and mineral notes, instantly filled the air, making mouths water.

The group sat around the campfire, drinking the wine they had seized from Baz's ship, eagerly awaiting the roast meat to come out of the oven. The atmosphere was lively and full of anticipation...

The campfire crackled, its orange-red flames illuminating the beach with a warm, spring-like glow, and also lighting up every face gathered around it.

It was a feeling of relaxation and comfort that came from the heart.

The massive volcanic rock slab was scorching hot, and thick slices of jungle porcupine meat were laid on it, producing a delightfully sizzling sound the moment they touched.
