"We'll just let him accept reality in a bit; we don't need to scare him or cause trouble."

Morikawa Yu shook her head: "No, I will try my best to control the force."

Professor Guderian immediately shook his head, his head bobbing like a rattle: "No, no, Professor Morikawa, you just need to help prove it; there's no need to demonstrate your power."

"Besides, apart from the principal, no one knows exactly how strong you are."

“If you accidentally demolish this building, the school construction team will have to come and repair it, and that stingy Manstein will complain again.”

Morikawa Yu frowned.

Professor Guderian's attitude led him to make some speculations about his identity.

Apart from the principal, no one knew how powerful he was.

Professor Guderian was worried that he would demolish the building, which means that in the eyes of these professors, he was at least capable of demolishing a building by himself, and possibly even more so.

But Professor Guderian probably didn't know that his power went far beyond simply demolishing buildings.

Even when he was only a great demon, he could destroy a city with the force of the wind. Now he is a great swordsman with power close to that of a top-tier great demon, and destroying half a city is no problem for him.

He shook his head: "I won't demolish the building, and besides..."

"...Demolish the building? What building are you demolishing...?"

Suddenly, a voice came from the other side of the room, cautiously and timidly interrupting him.

Morikawa Yu and Professor Guderian looked over and found that the boy who had been sleeping had woken up and was looking at them with a worried and puzzled expression.

"Ah, Mingfei."

Professor Guderian immediately looked at the boy he called Mingfei: "You're finally awake."

The boy nodded, then looked around the study with a somewhat bewildered expression: "Professor, where is this? Did we overturn? I heard a loud rumbling sound."

"Overturned? How could it possibly overturn?" Professor Guderian shook his head.

“We’ve arrived at the college. The journey was smooth, though there were some setbacks. You were so terrified during the orientation that you fainted and had to be carried off the train by Fingel.”

The old man muttered something and pointed at Morikawa Yu.

"Oh, right, I haven't introduced you yet. This is my friend, Professor Morikawa Yu from our college."

“He just got back from his vacation in Tokyo yesterday and arrived at school before us.”

“I felt that you didn’t have a real sense of what I was saying, so I invited him over and asked Professor Tomiyama to prepare some evidence so that we could provide you with psychological counseling together.”

Lu Mingfei nodded, glancing at Sen Chuanyu with a cautious look in his heart.

After he woke up, he heard Guderian talking to Morikawa Yu, and the two of them were talking about things like "school work team" and "building demolition".

He thought to himself, "Is this young man a member of the school's demolition team?"

Now that Guderian said the other person was a college professor, he felt even stranger.

After all, Morikawa Yu looks to be about the same age as him, just a bit more handsome and with a more composed demeanor. He's more like a senior student here than a professor.

After Professor Guderian finished speaking with Lu Mingfei, he looked at Morikawa Yu: "Professor Morikawa, this is a student that the principal and I both value highly, Lu Mingfei."

"Although he looks ordinary, he has great potential and is definitely a genius."

Morikawa Yu nodded and looked at Lu Mingfei.

He had just looked at the other person, but he saw that the other person was asleep.

Now, seeing the other person wake up, he felt somewhat disappointed.

Because the boy didn't seem like the brilliant genius Professor Guderian described at all; he seemed like a timid boy who didn't even dare to confess his feelings to the girl he liked.

However, he rarely judged people by their appearance, so he simply smiled and said, "Hello, Lu Mingfei."

Lu Mingfei forced a smile and said, "Hello."

Professor Guderian was very pleased to see the two greet each other, but he immediately remembered why he had invited Morikawa Yurai for this purpose. He cleared his throat and looked at Lu Mingfei.

"Mingfei, you fainted from fright after I told you about dragons on the train. Are you... really that afraid of dragons?"

"Essentially, dragons are just a powerful species."

"No!" Lu Mingfei seemed to have finally found his courage, staring into Professor Guderian's eyes. "I'm not afraid of dragons... Have you seen Terminator?"

“Yes, I’ve seen it. It was starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I really like him; he’s the current governor of California.” Professor Guderian nodded.

Lu Mingfei gestured: "Do you remember? There's a scene where John Connor's mother is at the police station, telling the officers that she saw a robot that had traveled back in time from an era when humanity was on the verge of extinction, and the robot was shooting everywhere with a laser rifle..."

"So the police said you're having a mental breakdown!"

"Do you think I'm having a mental breakdown?" Professor Guderian frowned.

“Either I’ve committed a crime!” Lu Mingfei shouted.

Professor Guderian shrugged: "Alright then, I think it would be better to have someone more professional explain it to you, for example..."

He looked at Morikawa Yu, but then he immediately remembered his conversation with Morikawa Yu.

He hesitated for a moment, then clapped his hands.

Immediately, the door was pushed open.

Professor Toyama, who had just gone out, came back in, carrying his two silver-white boxes.

He placed the box next to the desk where Morikawa Yu and Professor Guderian were sitting, then turned to look at Lu Mingfei and bowed respectfully to him, just as he had to Morikawa Yu.

"My name is Masashi Tomiyama, a counselor at Kassel College. I am very happy to meet our S-class freshmen. It has been more than forty years since we have had S-class freshmen."

Lu Mingfei hesitated for a moment, looking at Sen Chuanyu and the other two with suspicion: "Really? Can I ask who that S-class freshman was more than forty years ago? Was he an unparalleled dragon-slaying master?"

“He had a chance, but he committed suicide by shooting himself in the second semester of his sophomore year, so nothing came of it,” Masafumi Toyama said frankly.

Lu Mingfei was startled: "Shoot yourself to death?"

Masashi Tomiyama nodded: "Yes, because his grades were too good and his thinking was very sharp, he got stuck in some philosophical dilemmas while studying the Dragon Encyclopedia. He couldn't get out of it for a while and swallowed a gun. That's why we added a psychological instructor later."

“Sounds not bad,” Lu Mingfei said, catching his breath. “I’ve always been known for being slow-witted.”

“But you have potential!” Professor Guderian gave Morikawa Yu and Tomiyama Masashi a thumbs up, beaming with pride, clearly meaning that his student was the best.

Lu Mingfei covered his face.

He really couldn't understand the old man's thought process; was he praising him or cursing him to die?

Morikawa Yu watched him and Professor Guderian with great interest.

He came here to help Guderian and provide psychological counseling to Lu Mingfei, but he never expected to witness such a scene.

Masashi Tomiyama, meanwhile, used his fingerprint and password to open the first briefcase, peeled away layers of foam, and finally took out something from it.

It was a black scale, about half the size of a palm, perfectly shield-shaped, with a surface so smooth it looked as if it had just been oiled, and the texture was clearly visible under the shine.

“We brought two pieces of evidence to prove that dragons do exist in this world, and they are both high-level cultural relics that we specifically borrowed from the academy’s archives.”

He handed the scale in his hand to Lu Mingfei.

"Squeeze it."

Lu Mingfei carefully picked up the scale. It felt like it was fake, with a texture somewhat like steel, cold and tough, but very light, almost like plastic. Its edges were so sharp that they would cut his fingers if he applied too much force.

At this moment, Masafumi Toyama took out something else and handed it to Lu Mingfei.

Lu Mingfei was stunned.

This thing is actually a pistol.

"The Walther PPK pistol, 7.65mm caliber, muzzle velocity 280 m/s, effective range 50 m, the guys in the equipment department have made some improvements to it. Now, you can use it to shoot at scales."

Masashi Tomiyama placed the scale on the windowsill.

Lu Mingfei's face was pale: "I know this gun... 007 uses it too."

“Yes, it’s that classic 007 pistol.” Masashi Tomiyama covered his ears. “Don’t worry, just shoot, aim at the scales.”

"Even if you make a mistake, Professor Morikawa is here, and he can protect us."

"He can protect us?" Lu Mingfei looked at Morikawa Yu in astonishment, unable to understand Tomiyama Masashi's words for a moment.

That's a gun.

It's a modified handgun; if someone gets hit by it, they'll die, right?

How is he going to protect us?

Professor Guderian patted Lu Mingfei on the shoulder: "Don't worry, Professor Morikawa is a strong person among our hybrids, the kind of person who is very, very powerful."

"Have you seen Superman, Professor Morikawa...?"

"To be able to lift an airplane, fly it around the Earth backwards, and then reverse time?" Lu Mingfei couldn't help but interrupt Professor Guderian, his gaze becoming increasingly strange.

But it didn't feel like believing Guderian's words; it felt like he was facing a madman.

“No, that’s too exaggerated.” Professor Guderian frowned as he explained, but then felt that he couldn’t explain it clearly enough: “Fine, I’ll shut up, you fire a shot.”

"It's truly incomprehensible." Lu Mingfei raised his gun with a bitter face, aimed at the scales according to what he had learned during his high school military training, gritted his teeth and pulled the trigger.

With a deafening roar, Lu Mingfei felt as if he had been struck in the chest by a heavy hammer.

The recoil from the PPK made him feel like he had just fired a cannonball. He was thrown backward and landed on the sofa behind him, seeing stars and almost passing out.

"So he's not the kind of student who excels in physical strength!" Masafumi Tomiyama said with some surprise, shaking his head. "Maybe I should have brought a regular revolver."

"Was this gun modified by the equipment department? Sigh, don't try things out with those modified things by lunatics!" Professor Guderian complained.

Masashi Tomiyama: "I was a little curious. It's a good gun. Although it might not be able to blow up a dragon eye in one shot, it can probably leave some marks on fourth and fifth generation species."

"But it's useless against Professor Morikawa, so I took it. Even if something happens, Professor Morikawa can protect us."

Upon hearing this, Morikawa Yu shrugged: "Don't say that. If it's aimed at me, I don't care, but if it's aimed at you, I'll need some reaction time to block it."

He is indeed not afraid of this kind of shooting.

The high-ranking demon's defense is strong enough to withstand the armor-piercing cannons of main battle tanks. Although he is not a demon, his physique is similar, and bullets and small and medium caliber cannons can hardly hurt him.

If it were a large-caliber, specially designed armor-piercing cannon or weapon, he wouldn't be seriously injured, but he would never stubbornly try to withstand it; instead, he would deploy a windbreak.

Lu Mingfei shook his head vigorously, took a clear look at the surrounding situation, and heard the conversation of the three people next to him.

He looked up and saw Masashi Tomiyama hand him the black scale from before. Its surface was flawless, with nothing left on it.

Lu Mingfei was absolutely confident. He had just hit the center of the scale with one shot. He wasn't a student with outstanding physical abilities, but during military training, he was a rare student who scored 100 points out of 100. The instructors were amazed by how well this unassuming guy handled a gun.

A gun, comparable to an aircraft cannon, failed to pierce the scale.

Masashi Tomiyama smiled and said, "These are dragon scales. Sven Hedin discovered them in 1900 in the ancient city of Loulan in China. He couldn't recognize them, but he found that burning or hitting them with a hammer couldn't damage them, so he brought them back to Europe from China."

"Someone in Europe recognized it; that person's name is Menek Kassel. That's one piece of evidence. Now, shouldn't you be starting to believe it?"

Lu Mingfei was still stubbornly insisting: "Can't it be high-tech?"

“Even titanium alloys made with nanotechnology couldn’t withstand a shot like that, right?” Masafumi Tomiyama said. “I have a PhD in materials science from the University of Tokyo, you have to believe me.”

Okay, this place is not only full of lunatics, but also full of highly educated lunatics.

Lu Mingfei thought to himself, while secretly glancing at Sen Chuanyu.

He remembered Professor Guderian saying that Morikawa Yu could protect them, and that Morikawa Yu also said that it didn't matter if he got hit.

For a moment, he really wanted to pull open Morikawa Yu's clothes to see if the skin underneath was covered with dragon scales.

But he immediately realized that his idea was too absurd.

A person is a person, no matter what, and cannot have dragon scales.

“Alright, then let’s move on to the second piece of proof.” Masashi Tomiyama opened the second briefcase. A cylindrical glass bottle was presented to Lu Mingfei, just like the kind of bottle teachers use to hold specimens in biology class.

Morikawa Yu also looked at the glass bottle with great interest.

The bottle contained a pale yellow formalin solution, in which an animal that looked very much like a lizard was floating.

Its long, slender tail is curled up, covered in beautiful, dense scales. The long whiskers around its mouth float slowly in the solution, like a fetus in the womb. With its eyes closed, it looks as peaceful as an infant.

But it is clearly different from a lizard because it has two membranous wings on its back, which look just like the legendary dragon.

It wasn't the kind of divine dragon from the East, but rather a two-winged giant dragon similar to those from the West.

Lu Mingfei's eyes widened as well.

“This is a red dragon cub, not even dead yet, just in a dormant state,” Masafumi Tomiyama said. “We found it in India.”

"That was in 1796. Local farmers killed a giant python and got this baby from its belly. It is estimated that it was swallowed when it had just hatched."
