I'm having fun in Tokyo

The initial subscriptions were around 620, the high subscriptions after completion were a little over 4,500, and the highest average subscriptions were over 1,200.
As for why the emphasis is placed on "the time when the average subscription was the highest", it is naturally because the subsequent follow-up subscriptions were poor, which caused the average subscription to start to decline, and the follow-up data was not as good as before (the reasons will be explained later).
Overall, the results weren't great, but they weren't terrible either.
Thank you to the readers who initially placed their first orders. It was your support that prevented this book from being abandoned as soon as it was released. Thank you to everyone who read to the end. It was your continued reading that allowed this book to be completed and prevented it from being abandoned or having a bad ending.
Also, I'd like to thank the editor of this book, Spicy Strips.
I am grateful to him for signing the book and supporting it; otherwise, this book would not exist.
Of course, there are also many regrets, such as many people turning into book collectors after reading it.
Then, the outline was revised in the middle, and a volume of Dragon Raja fanfiction was added, which caused a sharp drop in readership, leading to its cancellation and a significant decrease in subscriptions.
There's also the issue of updates.
It seems that every time I manage to write an extra chapter, I always fall short the next day, which is driving me crazy.
The only time I updated consistently was at the end of August and the beginning of September this year, when I had the tag of "[Stable] 8,000 words a day" for a while. After that, I went back to updating twice a day, and I haven't been able to do it again.
Thinking about it now, I still feel a lot of anxiety.
My initial results were quite good, so why can't I get motivated to write? If this problem could be solved, the daily update issue would also be resolved, right?
Then comes the summary of the entire book.
As for a summary, I dare not say much more.
After all, Chunbai is just a nobody who doesn't understand anything and doesn't dare to talk about his insights or gains and losses. He can only talk about the pitfalls he felt he fell into, which can also be regarded as a reminder to himself not to make these mistakes again.
The first thing is to update.
Updating is the most important thing for a book. If you can't update frequently, the results will naturally not be good. Pure White can only guarantee two updates of 4,000 words a day, so naturally some readers will choose to wait for the book to finish.
The result of "nurturing" a book is self-evident; basically, the author stops reading it after the initial nurturing phase, leaving them with no choice but to abandon the book.
Chunbai also had the idea of running away with a bucket. At that time, she really wanted to run away, but she was reluctant to give up the book she had written over a million words of, and there were still many plots she hadn't written, so she continued writing.
The period after deciding to continue writing was also the time when the book was updated most frequently.
Then comes the "outline".
The importance of an outline to an author is self-evident.
Perhaps there are authors in the world who can write whatever they want without an outline, but such authors are definitely a very small minority. Most authors are actually the kind of people who can only pack up and run away without an outline.
Therefore, you must not arbitrarily change the outline when you are halfway through writing a book, otherwise you will most likely be doomed.
This made Chunbai feel particularly deeply, because Chunbai changed the outline when he was halfway through writing it, and forcibly added a volume of Dragon Raja fanfiction in the middle of the outline, which in the end, of course, led to his downfall.
The number of reads for the entire Dragon Raja series dropped by nearly half, and the daily new reads also dropped by nearly half.
Actually, there was no original plan for a volume on dragons in this book.
The original plan was that after the transition between Volume 3 and Volume 4, there would be the Izumo Volume, followed by the Yomi Volume, and after appeasing Izanami, the protagonist would have to complete the final trial.
During this time, the protagonist will also travel to Victoria (England) and the Holy Roman Empire (continental Europe), which is neither holy nor Roman, to experience foreign customs and culture, such as flirting with the Victorian dragon girl and the papal angel.
However, because I had already used too many Dragon Raja references before, and seeing that others were writing about Dragon Raja, I felt a bit unsatisfied and wanted to try it myself, so I added a Dragon Raja chapter in the middle.
The result... the result was that he ruined himself by writing it.
If before this book was something like, "If I write it well, maybe if I update it frequently, it will get recommended and I can continue to increase my average subscriptions," then afterward it became, "Damn, how did it turn out like this? It's all over, I might as well pack my bags and run away."
However, in the end, they couldn't bear to run away.
Because the book had already been written for over a million words by then.
Although it's normal to finish a book with a million words and put it on a light novel channel, it's not shameful. But at that time, there was still so much to write, and it would have been too hasty to finish it so soon. So I decided to continue writing.
However, after much consideration, I decided to cut the Victoria and Shinra volumes.
Because of the incident where the author changed the outline and wrote a Dragon Raja fanfiction, which caused the readership to collapse, this book is destined not to be written any longer. Otherwise, it would most likely be abandoned and left unfinished, unable to be completed.
Actually, when Chunbai Cat was halfway through writing Izumo Scroll, she wanted to pack up her bucket and run away, which is why she wrote the leave request and update notes at that time.
Fortunately, I didn't run away, and I finished writing the final outline.
Even if it's delayed until the end of November to finish the book, it's still better than a bad ending or an abandoned story.
At least this way I can stand up straight and say in the future: "I am also someone who has completed a normal book, with 1.83 million words and 4,500 high-level subscriptions."
Once you've finished writing, you feel confident.jpg
Although the reading process crashed later on, causing significant data fluctuations, as long as the story is completed normally, we won't pursue too much.
Having discussed the outline and the issue of completion, let's move on to the details of the novel.
There are many parts of this book that I'm very dissatisfied with. I don't know how many pitfalls I encountered from beginning to end. For example, the initial relationship between the protagonist and Ryoko was too convoluted, and there were many other issues as well. But since it's already finished, I can't change it anymore. So, I'll borrow an old trope and a quote from one of my favorite authors—
—This can certainly be used next time.
Yes, it can definitely be used next time. Although playing with this meme might seem like it's persecuting a certain Retsu Kaioh, this is just Pure White Cat's idea.
No one is perfect, and nothing is flawless. People can only improve through repeated trials and errors, eventually finding their own path and climbing to higher levels.
Therefore, we will strive to correct the mistakes in this book in the future and avoid repeating them.
Then let's talk about the new book.
Regarding the new book, Chunbai initially planned to seamlessly transition from the old book to the new one, but it wasn't until the very last moment that she realized she had overestimated herself.
It's only the first book that's finished, yet you're already thinking about starting a new book while juggling two? How can you expect to have such a good deal?
Preparing a new book when it's already difficult to finish a normal book is just asking for humiliation.
Therefore, Pure White's new book will be released later. In the meantime, I will write some side stories for the old book to maintain the writing feel, which can also be considered as making up for the missed updates.
But one thing is certain: the new book will likely be in a similar style to this one.
Although the worldview will be very different from this book, in general, it is still the story of the protagonist helping others, saving the world, and incidentally getting close to a beautiful non-human girl.
And as you know me, there won't be any depressing scenes. Just be happy when you're supposed to be happy. The readers (the main characters) come first.
More importantly, it's original.
Actually, our book is also an original work, it's just disguised as a fan fiction.
Aside from the wind-controlling sword technique the protagonist acquires and the dragon arc added during the revision of the outline, there's basically no fan-made content.
However, my next book will be a more complete original work, incorporating some inspiration I've accumulated over time, to write a book that I truly want to write, and... without changing the outline!
Once the outline is finalized, do not change it!
We must not make the same mistake of revising the outline twice!
I won't touch fanfiction anymore. At most, I'll use a meme or write a short story. Otherwise, I'll lose the big picture for the small things, and everyone will go bald.
That's about it.
Reflections are important in some ways, but not in others.
But actually writing it down brings back a lot of feelings. Especially since this is the first time I've written a complete statement, I don't know how well it's written, but at least I've written down everything that was on my mind.
This book is now truly finished! Hooray for the completion!
Thank you to anyone who was willing to read through this last bit of rambling. Thank you all for your continued support. Thank you to every reader who has followed the updates, subscribed, and given rewards. Thank you so much.
Because there are still unfinished chapters and bonus chapters for the patrons, some extra chapters will be updated later.
You are also welcome to join our book club and full subscription group.
The group is quite large (seriously), and we can also discuss the new book and extra chapters.
Chapter 709 Extra: My Husband Divided into Six Parts (Part 1)
...
......
"Owner!"
"Master, wake up, don't take a nap!"
The noisy sounds of Xinjue reached my ears.
Morikawa Yu opened his eyes and saw Shinjue sitting next to him, gently tugging at his clothes with her small hands: "Master, it's Tamamo-sama's turn to go on a date with you this afternoon. Hurry up and wash up, let's go on the date together."
Morikawa Yu yawned, sat up and looked at Xin Jue, her head still a little dazed.
"Dating.......?"
Xin Jue chuckled: "Yeah, a date."
"Didn't we agree the night before last that you, Master, would spend a day on a date with each of us?"
"It's Tamamo-sama's date with you today, so hurry up and get ready. Let's find a fun place to go on our date. Don't be like the day before yesterday and yesterday, where you didn't do anything but eat at home."
Upon hearing what Shinjue said, Morikawa Yu finally remembered that she was supposed to be on a date with Tamamo today.
Because the Shinto meeting was canceled a few days ago, and we went to Ise to deal with Izanami and successfully resolved the crisis, the family held a banquet that day to celebrate, which was only attended by family members and Ryoko and the others.
At the banquet, Mitsuko asked him to explain his relationship with Izanami.
She still seemed to harbor a lot of resentment, but because the Ise incident had just been resolved and the situation was unstable, she didn't confront him.
Feeling guilty, he asked them what kind of apology they wanted him to make so they would forgive him.
Seeing that Hiizuki seemed to have forgiven Morikawa Yu and had no intention of speaking, Mizuko suggested that he take turns accompanying the girls in the family on dates every afternoon.
Starting with Hiigetsu, then her, and then Tamamo, Shinkaku, Ki-chan, Asaka, and Emi.
After each round of dating, they would start a new round of dating, and so on.
If something comes up, postpone it until it's resolved. Once you've finished, continue taking turns going on dates. The format of the dates doesn't matter, but you must put your heart into it.
He agreed without hesitation, since he was already planning to spend some quality time with them anyway.
Then, the banquet ended.
He and Ryoko dealt with the matters that needed to be handled after the cancellation of the Shinto council meeting, and the next afternoon was his date with Hiizuki.
Feiyue was too lazy to go out, so she stayed at home and occupied him for the whole day, saying that only if he spent the whole day with her could it be considered a serious date. She wouldn't allow Yujinzi or the others to touch him and suggested taking turns dating, but Yujinzi, who had taken advantage of the situation, was very dissatisfied.
Yesterday, when he went on a date with Mitsuko, Mitsuko didn't go out. Instead, she stayed in the living room, mimicking him and not letting Hime touch her. She slept in his arms all afternoon.
This made Xin Jue somewhat worried and unhappy.
Xin Jue hopes that he can spend quality time with them on their dates, so that the dates can also strengthen their bond, rather than turning "date time" into "time alone with them." Otherwise, if everyone wants more time to spend alone with Morikawa Yu, problems will inevitably arise sooner or later.
That's why Shinjuku kept urging him to take Tamamo on a normal date.
Morikawa Yu touched Shinjue's hair: "Okay, I'll get ready right away."
Xin Jue nodded: "Yes, Master, please hurry up."
She stood up from the sofa, straightened her black and white Lolita maid dress, and stood to the side, waiting for Morikawa Yu to get up.
Morikawa Yuya stood up from the sofa and stretched.
He's in the living room right now; he just took a nap and can leave at any time.
However, Xin Jue was unhappy with his casual attitude and pulled him towards the dressing room in the master bedroom on the first floor: "I told you to be more serious, Master! This is a date! You can't be careless just because Lady Tamamo has decided to marry you!"
With a smile, Morikawa Yu followed Shinjue toward the changing room.
He knew, of course, that dates should be taken seriously, but he didn't expect the little maid to be so earnest and serious, as if she were the one on the date. Her earnestness was almost too cute.
Soon, Xinjue picked out a set of clothes for him and helped him change.
Morikawa Yu changed her clothes and looked at herself in the mirror.
In the mirror, he was wearing a casual shirt. Although it was still his usual style, the shirt was noticeably more fitted and refined, which also suited his figure and temperament.
Xinjue really knows how to pick clothes; she has a great eye.
Xin Jue smiled and hugged Sen Chuan Yu's waist, rubbing against Sen Chuan Yu's chest like a cat: "Hmm, this is my most handsome master. It's worth buying you so many clothes."
After rubbing against her for a while, she finally raised her head, looked at Morikawa Yu, and sighed.
"Master, today's master will be given to Lady Tamamo. When we go on our date the day after tomorrow, you must do your best and be as serious as you are today!"
Morikawa Yu raised an eyebrow, not expecting that Shinjue had gone to such lengths to dress him up for this.
He nodded with a slight chuckle, hugged Xinjue, and gently stroked her hair: "Okay, okay, I'll definitely do my best to go on a date with you. I'll agree to go wherever you want."
