The ones who should really be eliminated first are the strategists who advise and devise plans for Dimir.

Faced with the sudden threat, Sylvan quickly drew his sword to parry, but the bone-chilling cold had already spread throughout his body along with the weapon.

-----------------

With the support of his military might, Dimir was like a demon god descending to earth, and no one could stop him wherever he went.

Chlorie knew that only she could hold off Dimir, so she unleashed her full power.

However, before that extremely sharp arrow could get close, it was severed by Dimir's arrow.

This scene has been repeated countless times; no matter how many arrows she fires, they are always blocked by the enemy.

Chlorie reached for her quiver again, but found nothing.

"drink!"

Dimir broke through the barrier created by Risti once again, getting even closer to Chlorie.

However, the elite cavalry surrounding him were not so lucky.

Even though he left behind several times the number of corpses as his own, there was no one left by Dimiri's side.

"That's it!"

Dimir roared, his voice filled with murderous intent.

He suddenly leaped off his horse, gripping the spear in both hands, and frantically poured the massive amount of demonic energy within him into it. The Death Thorn Spear gradually turned crimson, emitting a dazzling light.

As it soared to the highest point, the magic element also reached its peak.

"Piercing through the Death's Breath Spear!"

Dimir gave a low shout and threw his spear like a javelin.

The Death Spear traced a crimson path through the air, hurtling towards Chlorie with a force that seemed to tear the heavens and earth apart.

Everything in its path that stood in its way—soldiers, warhorses, and even the earth itself—was overturned, crushed, and reduced to dust.

Realizing that this attack was unusual, Lisette hurriedly waved her Dream Staff, uttered the word "Shield," and poured all the magic she could muster into it.

In an instant, six petal-shaped barriers unfolded in front of Chlorie, forming layers of overlapping protection.

The spear of death pierced through five barriers before finally coming to a standstill before the last defensive barrier. As the final barrier shattered, the spear was deflected towards Dimirli.

Lisette was pale and breathing heavily.

Although the shield she had just cast successfully blocked Dimirli's terrifying attack, the aftershocks still swept around like a whirlwind.

Centered on Chlorie, the ground within a radius of 100 meters looked as if it had been plowed through, scorched and broken, with no living creatures left behind.

The once noisy battlefield fell silent at this moment.

"You think you can stop me like this?" Dimir said coldly, catching the Death Thorn Spear that returned to his hand.

His gaze was fixed on Chlorie, and with each step he took, his killing intent intensified.

Just as he was about to get close, a figure suddenly appeared and blocked his way.

“Jessica?” Dimily narrowed his eyes, his tone full of disdain. “You don’t actually think you’ll be lucky this time, that someone will die in your place, do you?”

Jessica did not answer, but slowly raised her longsword, as if she would launch a thunderous attack without hesitation if she took another step closer.

"Your Highness, I'm here to help you!"

Just then, Du Du finally arrived.

He was covered in blood, clearly having gone through a fierce battle.

“Didn’t I tell you to stay and protect Sylvan?” Dimily didn’t turn around, his attention remaining fixed on Jessica.

“It was Sylvan who was worried about your safety and sent me to provide support, Your Highness!” Dudu explained immediately.

"Hmph, unnecessary trouble. Chlorie will be handed over to—"

Before Dimir could finish speaking, he suddenly felt a sense of foreboding.

He turned around abruptly and saw that the flags in the direction of the main army formation were slowly falling, which meant that Sylvan had likely met with misfortune.

"Look at the stupid thing you've done!" Dimirli glared at Dudu.

The uncertainty surrounding Sylvan's fate led him to abandon his plan to compete with Jessica, and he simply drew a horizontal line on the ground with the tip of his gun.

"If you want to die, try chasing after me!"

Chapter 670 Releasing Sylvan

Seemingly intimidated by Dimirli's words, Jessica actually did not stop them at all.

Only after the other person's figure had completely disappeared did she place her hand on Chlorie's shoulder to activate the teleportation.

The next moment, the two appeared beside Lisette.

"Lady Chlorie, are you alright?"

Having sensed the spatial fluctuations beforehand, Lisette rushed forward to check on them.

"Without your help, things might have been very different."

Having recovered somewhat, Chlorie dusted off her clothes and turned to Jessica, her voice tinged with worry, "Is it really okay to let him go like this?"

"Of course it's not good, but I didn't leave him with any confidence."

The voice that came out of "Jessica's" mouth was actually Vena's.

"It's you? Where's Jessica?" A hint of surprise flashed in Chlorie's eyes.

Neither she nor Dimily realized that the suddenly appearing Jessica was actually Viner in disguise.

"Did you see the fallen flag of the Kingdom's army? Jessica made it."

Wiener answered casually, while simultaneously removing the illusion and revealing his true form.

"Have you fought before?"

Lisette knew that Venus was not the type to back down before a fight; to come to such a conclusion, she must have learned from past mistakes.

"I guess so," Viner nodded.

Nie Dōzana had not yet fully recovered from the fatal blow of the Death Thorn Spear, and it was clearly unwise for her to confront Temiri head-on at this time.

"Then wouldn't no one be able to keep Dimir away?" Chlorie frowned slightly.

To fight against the Death Thorn Spear, one must be prepared to perish together with it.

Those who could confront Dimiri head-on were all important figures in the army, and none of them could be easily abandoned.

“That’s not necessarily true,” Viner shook his head. “I know someone who can deal with Dimir.”

"Who is it?" Chlorie asked hurriedly.

"You'll know then."

Viner paused for a moment, then looked at the defeated kingdom army and whispered, "Let's call it a day. If we push too hard, they'll just become desperate and do something rash."

Although the Kingdom's army was defeated, it still retained considerable strength, and the return of Dimirli was more effective than any other banner.

On the other hand, the allied forces were exhausted and their morale was high; further pursuit might lead to unforeseen circumstances.

After thinking for a moment, Chloe also felt that what Venus said made sense: "Let's do it your way."

She immediately ordered the horns to be sounded, and the long, melodious notes echoed across the battlefield, causing the allied forces to halt their pursuit.

Shortly after the order was given, a slight spatial fluctuation suddenly came from beside the three of them.

Jessica's figure slowly appeared, along with a special guest.

"boom--"

She froze half her body into an ice sculpture, leaving only her head still movable. She threw Sylvan on the ground, then scanned the three of them to make sure they were unharmed before speaking, "I thought something had happened when we suddenly withdrew our troops."

"I didn't expect you to care about me so much," Viner joked.

"Stop being so presumptuous. You're the one I trust the most!" Jessica said irritably.

After discovering that he could survive even with his heart pierced, Jessica had a full understanding of Vina's incredible resilience.

Instead of worrying about what might happen to Venus, we should be more concerned about Chloe, who is the most likely target among all the feudal lords.

"Long time no see, senior."

Wiener stepped forward and greeted Sylvain, his former senior, without a trace of hostility in his voice.

Knowing that he had been captured by Jessica rather than killed on the spot, and that she was probably trying to extract more information from him, Sylvan gave a bitter smile: "If you still consider me your senior, then you might as well give me a quick death."

“Okay.” Viner nodded solemnly, then looked to the side.

Jessica received the signal and with a wave of her hand, the ice enveloping Sylvan began to melt.

"what do you mean?"

Sylvan was soaked to the bone and his body was still shivering from the cold.

“Naturally, we are prepared to release the senior.” Vena said slowly.

"Aren't you worried that I'll continue to cause you trouble after I go back?" Sylvan couldn't help but ask.

“You should know that the Kingdom’s army has been defeated,” Viner replied calmly.

“The kingdom has not been defeated yet! With just a little rest and regrouping, we can still defeat you!” Sylvan blurted out, refuting Viner’s declaration of victory.

“Perhaps, provided his commander isn’t Dimir.” Vina didn’t argue, and continued, “I still don’t understand why the kingdom would entrust him with a cursed weapon like the Death Thorn Spear.”

Sylvain frowned slightly, as if he had picked up on something unspoken.

"While the Spear of Death can greatly increase Dimir's strength, it will also affect his temperament, making him more stubborn and self-willed. As long as the kingdom remains under his leadership, it is impossible for him to win."

Wiener's words were like a dagger piercing Sylvain's heart.

He thought about the changes in Dimirli during this period, and a chill crept up his spine.

"On the battlefield, swords have no eyes. Next time we meet, we may not be able to talk so calmly as we do now. I hope you take good care of yourself."

Before Sylvain could think or respond, Vina gave Jessica a look.

The latter nodded, and with a wave of his hand, he cast a teleportation spell. A spatial fluctuation flashed, and Sylvan's figure instantly disappeared from the spot.

When Sylvan came to his senses, the scene before him was completely different. He was surrounded by a vast wilderness, and the camp of the feudal lords was several kilometers away.

Although Wiener did not explicitly state it, he still presented him with two choices.

One option is to seize the opportunity to escape, live a quiet life under an assumed name.

Secondly, we will continue to walk alongside Dimirli, facing the unknown outcome.

Sylvain chose the latter without much thought.

His gaze swept over the vaguely visible battlefield outline with complicated emotions. He turned around as if making a decision and chased after the retreating Kingdom army. His figure quickly disappeared from sight.

-----------------

The morale of the Dimirli army, which had suffered a major defeat, was visibly low, and the original 50,000 troops were now reduced to less than half.

Whether he was defeated and captured or escaped in the chaos, it remains impossible to verify to this day.

The news that Sylvan's fate was unknown further enraged Dimir.

His personal guard, which had once belonged to him, now knelt in a row, with soldiers on either side awaiting execution.

“Disobeying military orders and abandoning your posts, resulting in the attack on the main camp and the defeat of the army, do you know your crimes?” Dimirli said sternly.

"Your subordinate is willing to accept punishment."

As the captain of the royal guard, Dudu was also among those punished.

"This is just to teach you a lesson. If it happens again, we will not let you off easily."

The soldier carrying out the order raised his baton, ready to bring it down, when a familiar voice suddenly rang out.

"Your Highness, please show mercy!"

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw Sylvan, covered in dust, rushing towards them from a distance.
