Chapter 26 Mei: Gu Ye, thank you.
Gu Ye's gaze passed over Mei's shoulder and saw a "little tail" following behind her—Bronya, expressionless, stood there quietly like a guardian, her eyes calmly looking at him, as if to say, "Mei's decision is Bronya's decision."
"Kiana..." Gu Ye's mind conjured up the image of that carefree white-haired girl. Her sleeping posture was so bad that it perfectly matched her character.
"Alright, come in." Gu Ye stepped aside to make way for them.
He couldn't possibly refuse two beautiful young women who came to him for help late at night.
He had intended to sleep on the floor, but after searching the room, he couldn't find any extra bedding.
This room was clearly just a regular guest room, and no extra bedding was provided.
"How about... we squeeze in?" Mei suggested hesitantly, looking at the spacious bed.
She gently pushed Gu Ye's back, leading him towards the bedside, "It's better than going back and being used as a punching bag by Kiana."

Gu Ye did not refuse.
Or rather, faced with such a situation, no normal man could find a reason to refuse.
He lay down on the far left side of the bed, trying to leave them enough space.
Mei and Bronya lay down as well, Mei in the middle and Bronya on the far right.
The soft mattress sank slightly under the weight of the three people, and the air was filled with the faint, pleasant fragrance of the girl.
In the darkness, Mei turned her head to look at Gu Ye's profile, which appeared well-defined in the moonlight, his eyes filled with sincerity.
Mei wanted to say something, but all her words and emotions ultimately boiled down to just one sentence.
"Gu Yejun, thank you for today." Her voice was soft, yet exceptionally clear.
"You're welcome." Gu Ye's voice rang out in the quiet room, slightly hoarse from just waking up.
In the ruins under the cover of night, on the top floor of a relatively intact building, moonlight shines through broken glass windows, casting dappled shadows on the floor.
The air still carried the pungent smell of gunpowder and Honkai energy.
On the portable communicator in front of Rita, a half-body image of Archbishop Otto Apocalypse was being projected.
“Your Excellency, this is the current situation in Changkong City.” Rita’s voice was calm and respectful, as if the thrilling battle just now was just a routine drill. “I failed to bring back the target, Siegfried’s daughter. I have failed in my duty and am willing to accept punishment.”
"Hehe, how can you blame yourself, my dear Rita?" Otto's voice came through the communicator, with a lazy smile. "After all, who could have imagined encountering so many interesting 'accidents' in a place like that? Besides, this wasn't your main task."
His eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was very interested in the contents of the report.
"Siegfried's daughter, and the sudden awakening of the Third Herrscher, what a wonderful script. However, I'm more curious about something else."
"You mean that mysterious power that dispelled the Honkai energy?" Rita immediately understood the bishop's meaning.
“That’s right.” Otto’s fingertips tapped lightly on the table in front of him, making a crisp sound. “A grand ‘first tide’ was about to take shape, but it was forcibly scattered. This kind of method is not something a Herrscher can do. Show me those people’s information again.”
Rita followed his instructions, and images of Gu Ye, Kitagawa Kaimu, Tohsaka Rin, and W appeared in front of Otto.
“No origin, no past records, it’s like they appeared out of thin air.” Otto looked at the data, his smile widening. “When did Anti-Entropy cultivate such an ace? And why are they trying to hinder Cocolia’s plans? How interesting, so very interesting.”
"Your Excellency, should we capture them all?" Lita asked, looking up.
“No need.” Otto shook his head, seemingly in a good mood. “The fact that you managed to escape from them proves that their strength is not to be underestimated. If we were to attack directly, we might lose our precious Valkyrie.”
"What do you mean?"
“I need to know which player is making these intriguing moves,” Otto’s eyes deepened. “Send Durandal over there. Tell her to go and ‘play’ with them, to test their strength. If possible, bring them all back; I want to have a good talk with them.”
"As ordered."
"That rain of frogs that swept through the headquarters of Destiny must have been their doing too," Otto said, as if talking to himself, yet also to Rita. "To launch a precision strike on a floating island from such a distance is no longer a provocation, but a declaration of war. I'm starting to look forward to it, to the even bigger surprises they have in store for me."
Just as Rita was about to continue reporting on some details of the follow-up handling, a deep male voice rang out from the shadows not far behind her.
"Valkyrie of destiny, please hand over Cocolia to me."
Rita's hand holding the communicator did not tremble at all, but her body was like a fully wound-up precision machine, completing all the movements in a second: turning around, crouching down, pulling the huge black scythe from under her skirt, and assuming a defensive posture.
Her wine-red eyes instantly turned icy, locking onto the man who emerged from the darkness.
Walter walked out step by step.
"You are... Lord Walter, the leader of Anti-Entropy." Rita's voice remained polite, but her grip on the scythe tightened.
She could feel that the pressure from the man in front of her was far greater than that from the people she had just met.
“I have no intention of being your enemy.” Walter stopped and kept a safe distance from Rita. “However, the organization’s traitor must be brought back for trial by me personally.”
His gaze passed over Rita and landed on Cocolia, who was slumped to the side, bound by special shackles.
“Excuse me, Lord Leader.” Rita did not immediately lower her guard. “But this lady is now a prisoner of Destiny.”
“I know,” Walter said calmly.
Just as the two were locked in a standoff and the atmosphere was gradually freezing, Otto's voice came through the communicator again, with a hint of amusement: "Rita, hand the person over to him."
"Your Excellency the Bishop?" Rita was somewhat surprised.
“Let him take him away.” Otto’s tone left no room for argument. “I want to see what kind of drama will unfold inside Anti-Entropy.”
"...Yes, sir."
Having received the clear instructions, Rita no longer hesitated. She slowly stood up, the scythe in her hand turning into specks of light and disappearing. Facing Walter, she gracefully lifted the hem of her skirt and performed an impeccable curtsy.
"Since it is His Excellency the Bishop's order..."
After saying that, she turned and walked to Cocolia's side, lightly tapping the controller of the shackles with her finger.
With a "click," the device binding Cocolia was released.
Walter didn't waste any more words. He stepped forward, roused the still somewhat listless Cocolia, and turned to leave.
“Mr. Walter.” Otto’s voice suddenly came through the communicator, calling out to him.
Walter paused, but did not turn around.
"Are those four people related to you?" Otto asked with a light laugh.
“I don’t know them, but they’re dangerous, especially the boy.” Walter’s figure disappeared into the night.
"Thank you."

Chapter 27 An Uninvited Guest from Fate
The first rays of dawn pierced through the gap in the curtains, casting a narrow strip of light into the room.
Gu Ye's eyelashes trembled, and his consciousness slowly rose from the deep sea of slumber.
He opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was two peaceful and serene sleeping faces.
Bronya nestled against his chest like a docile kitten, her breathing steady and shallow, rising and falling gently with the rhythm of her heartbeat.
Raiden Mei lay on her side beside him, hugging his entire right arm like a giant doll, her cheek pressed tightly against his biceps, a faint, reassuring smile on her lips in her sleep.
Gu Ye shook his head helplessly.
He carefully supported Bronya's small body and gently moved her to the pillow next to him.
Then, he slowly freed his right arm from Mei's warm and soft embrace.
He quietly got out of bed and walked down the corridor.
When he came downstairs and saw the living room, ravaged by the violent power of lightning, he couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Brand-new appliances were turned into smoldering scrap metal, expensive sofas were torn open with huge rips, and the walls were covered with charred marks. The whole space was filled with an atmosphere of destruction, which was truly regrettable.
As you open the glass door leading to the backyard, the cool morning air rushes in.
Gu Ye was somewhat surprised to find that W had gotten up even earlier than him.
She was sitting cross-legged on the artificial hill by the pond, her legs crossed, intently fiddling with her phone. The rapidly flashing lights and shadows on the screen and the faint noise indicated that she was probably watching some short videos.
Gu Ye didn't disturb her. He simply greeted her and then walked to the lawn in the center of the garden to begin his daily morning exercise.
He calmed himself down, adjusted his breathing, and began practicing each move.
His movements were graceful and slow, seemingly devoid of any worldly airs, more like an elegant dance than a fighting technique.
"Hey, I'm talking to you." W finally looked up from his phone screen, his eyes filled with undisguised mockery. "You're boxing so slowly, is that really exercise? It looks like an old man doing calisthenics in the park, all soft and limp. Can you kill someone with that?"
She grinned, revealing sharp canine teeth, and continued in a lecturing tone, "Want me to teach you what real training is? One hundred push-ups! One hundred sit-ups! One hundred squats! And then a ten-kilometer cross-country run! That's just a warm-up! That's the daily routine for us Sarkaz mercenaries!"
Gu Ye's movements did not stop because of her words; he simply slowly withdrew his punch.
He turned his head, calmly looked at W, and asked in return, "So, are you invincible now?"
"Huh? Invincible?" W shrugged as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world. "How could that be? This is just the most basic training I did to avoid being killed by small fry in missions. It's the capital for survival."
"So, when it comes to exercise, you just need to find a method that suits you," Gu Ye said calmly, turning around to face the ornamental rock mountain, which was taller than a person, next to W.
He suddenly stretched out his right hand, spread his five fingers, and seemingly lightly slapped forward.
Just before his palm was about to touch the surface of the rocky mountain, a mosquito, which seemed to have flown in from nowhere, landed precisely between his palm and the rocky mountain.
"Snapped--"
A crisp popping sound.
On the hard surface of the rocky mountain, spiderweb-like cracks instantly spread out from Gu Ye's palm, and then shattered into countless pieces with a loud crash, rolling all over the ground.
On the stone where the palm once rested, a clear, indented palm print remains.
Gu Ye withdrew his hand, his palm smooth and clean as before.
Mosquitoes flew out.
Snapped--
He glanced at it, then flicked the mosquito corpse, which had been crushed into a thin sheet, off his palm as if dusting it off.
"Moths and the like are better off dead."
W's mocking smile froze completely.
Her breath hitched; she couldn't comprehend how that seemingly effortless palm strike could unleash such terrifying destructive power.
"I'm going to the convenience store to buy breakfast. What do you want to eat?" Gu-Ye's voice broke the silence of the garden, as if he had just done something insignificant.
“…Whatever you want.” W finally managed to squeeze out two words after several seconds.
Once Gu Ye's figure disappeared outside the courtyard gate, W abruptly threw his phone aside.
She jumped down from the artificial hill, walked to the spot where Gu Ye had just stood, took a deep breath, and, imitating Gu Ye's posture from her memory, lowered her center of gravity and assumed that starting stance.
She tried to regulate her breathing, mimicking the slow and fluid movements.
But after only three poses, a strange sense of irritation welled up from the bottom of my heart.
Her movements were stiff and comical, completely lacking any sense of fluidity.
"Tsk! What the hell is this!" W scratched his hair in frustration and kicked a pebble at his feet. "I don't understand! I can't learn it!"
Gu Ye walked into Lei Dian's house carrying a plastic bag from the convenience store. The bag smelled of hot milk and toast.
What they saw was a group of people frozen like statues in the living room, and two uninvited guests who shouldn't have been there.
An invisible pressure permeated the air, dampening the warmth of the breakfast.
Everyone was awake, including Kiana, but the freshly formed, shiny purple bump on her forehead was particularly noticeable, suggesting she hadn't gotten up voluntarily.
"You're all awake? I just bought breakfast." Gu Ye's voice broke the silence. He placed the breakfast on the only intact coffee table as if nothing had happened.
His gaze swept over the two visitors, one as elegant as a lady and the other as majestic as a war god.
"Hello, nice to meet you. I am Rita Losweiser, the vice-captain of the Destiny 'Undying Blade'." Rita stepped forward, lifted the hem of her skirt, and gave an impeccable bow with a proper smile.
"I'm not okay." Gu Ye's answer was simple and direct, his gaze passing over Rita and landing on the blonde Valkyrie.
Durandal's blue eyes were like the purest sapphire, but at this moment they exuded a cold sharpness. Her gaze seemed to be able to penetrate a person's body and look directly into their soul.
She ignored Gu Ye's rudeness and asked in a clear, icy voice, "You're the leader of this group, aren't you?"
