The figure behind Taiyi, who was about to launch a sneak attack, froze completely.

So Taichi and Agumon have already discovered it? Should it continue or not?

After some deliberation, the figure decided it was better to finish what it started, so it unleashed its ultimate attack on Taiyi.

Lightning strike!

The staff unleashed white lightning that shot towards Taiyi, but Taiyi easily deflected the lightning attack with a straight punch.

"It feels numb and a little prickly."

Taiyi grinned and shook his hand, feeling as if it had gone numb from sitting. He decided it was better not to touch the electric current next time.

He took out the Divine Plan and first checked the identity of the visitor.

"Oh... Wizardmon, right?"

Taiyi nodded to the Wizard Beast.

"Use whatever moves you have, or just stay put and don't move."

"You are now our prisoner."

After saying that, Taiichi didn't seem worried that Wizardmon hadn't listened, and turned his head to look at the Digimon attacking from the other side.

The Digimon originally intended to ambush Taichi, but it was intercepted by BlackGatomon halfway there.

Taiichi was still a little confused as to why BlackGatomon would help him so readily. Did it already have a high level of trust in him? Then, once Taiichi saw what the attacking Digimon looked like, he immediately understood.

It was a cat that looked similar to BlackGatomon, except that its fur was pure white and it had a golden ring on its tail.

Taiichi sighed inwardly, then called out to the BlackGatomon over there.

"Alright, BlackGatomon, stop now."

Taichi uses this method to deal with his cat when it misbehaves, and he never expected it to work so well on BlackGatomon as well.

Okay, I'll do this to BlackGatomon if he misbehaves from now on.

Having decided on the punishment for BlackGatomon, Tai turned to look at Wizardmon and Gatomon.

"Okay, now we can talk."

"Who are you, and why are you attacking us?"

"You'd better tell the truth, or I might subject you to very cruel torture."

"Torture!"

Agumon joined Taichi in making faces, but they clearly weren't the type to torture anyone. At least BlackGatomon, after recovering, looked at the two of them with an expression of unbearable disapproval.

However, Wizardmon and Gatomon dared not take it lightly. Defeating a Perfect-level monster in just over ten seconds was an incredible feat, something probably only Myotismon could accomplish.

Even the Bloodthirsty Beast might not be able to do that.

This is certainly not to say that Taichi and Agumon are stronger than Myotismon, but no one would question that they are on the same level.

Furthermore, given their already limited loyalty to Myotismon, Wizardmon and Gatomon only hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"We... came here on the orders of Myotismon to find Digimon that can become Myotismon's ally."

"Mammothmon is the Digimon we recruited."

Taiyi was even more puzzled upon hearing this. Recruiting is one thing, but what does it have to do with him?

"Then why did you attack us?"

"This is also an order from the vampire beast. It ordered us to find the destined person and bring him back to its side. This order has a higher priority than recruiting soldiers, which is why we launched an attack on you."

"The destined one..." Tai's eye twitched. So the destined one was such a coveted thing? And how did the vampire beast find him? Did it have a tracking device installed on him?

"You are the destined one?" To Taichi's surprise, Wizardmon and Gatomon reacted with astonishment. They exchanged a glance, communicating through their eyes.

“We don’t know how to find the chosen one,” Wizardmon explained. “Myotismon’s orders to us are to search the world for the chosen one. If we see someone who seems like the chosen one, we can try to attack them.”

“We don’t know what the so-called destined one is,” Gatomon added. “So we decided that whenever we encounter a human, no matter who it is, we should attack them first and bring them back.”

"Whether they are the destined ones or the chosen children, they are all our enemies."

"After all that fuss, it turns out it was all about casting a wide net."

Taiichi shook his head helplessly, then he continued to ask,

"What exactly is this vampire beast you're talking about?"

Taiichi's overall goal is to reach the Dark Area in the Ocean of the Internet, but if he encounters any evil terrorists, it would be easy to take them down as well. Myotismon doesn't sound like a good guy, and more importantly, it seems to be an enemy of the original Taiichi and his friends, so it would be only natural to take it down before leaving.

"Tell me everything you know about Myotismon."

"Myotismon is a Digimon from the Dark Area, possessing ambitions to rule both the Digital World and the Human World..."

He stared intently at Gatomon.

"You mean, the vampire beast is a native of the Dark Zone, a genuine local?"

“That’s right.” Taiichi’s words sounded a bit strange, but Gatomon nodded in confirmation. “Myotismon is a Digimon that came from the Dark Area.”

"That means he definitely knows how to get back to the Dark Area, right?"

"I guess so?" Gatomon said uncertainly. "I'm not really sure either."

"Knowing this much is enough!"

Taiichi nodded vigorously. He pondered for a moment, then smiled as he looked at Gatomon and the other two.

"Gentlemen, how about I bestow upon you an immense fortune?"

I have a feeling that Taiyi didn't hold back his fart.

Chapter 18 Digimon Original Series: Chapter 18 You guys, the guides, get it?

What bad intentions could Taiyi possibly have? Taiyi just wants to take a seven-day trip to the Dark Area and help reduce its population burden. He won't do anything else.

Taiyi had originally planned to search for the Dark Area in the vast ocean of the internet, but now another guy from the Dark Area has come along. It goes without saying what Taiyi will choose.

Seeing the confusion in Gatomon's and Wizardmon's eyes, Taichi spoke up.

"If you can bring me to the Vampire Beast, I will forgive you for ambushing us, and I can even pretend to let you capture me so that the Vampire Beast can reward you handsomely."

Taiyi paused here,

"However, I suggest you choose some tangible reward, since once I see the Vampire Beast, his power will most likely be rendered ineffective."

"You want to go find Myotismon?" Tailmon and Wizardmon were taken aback by Tai's question at first, then Wizardmon immediately followed up with a reply.

"What do you want with the vampire beast?"

"It's nothing."

Taiyi had no reservations.

"I want to go to the Dark Area. I need to find the Vampire Beast for help, and while I'm at it, I'll see if the Vampire Beast is doing anything evil, and then I'll take it down too."

Wizardmon interrupted Gatomon abruptly, turning its head to stare intently at Gatomon before its tone softened.

“You always told me that being alone for a long time can make you incredibly strong, and that being deep in darkness can numb all pain. I used to think so too, but after meeting you, I realized that numbly running away is the only way to escape the darkness. To soothe the pain, we must face the scars directly in order to truly find liberation.”

Taichi and Agumon exchanged a glance. To be honest, they had no idea what Wizardmon was talking about, but they could roughly understand that it was advising Gatomon to be pragmatic and wise. So the two of them remained silent and just watched Wizardmon and Gatomon talk.

BlackGatomon, who was standing in front of Taichi, began to tremble after hearing what Wizardmon said, as if it had a very strong reaction.

Meanwhile, Wizardmon's persuasion continued.

"You once said that you were waiting for someone, but I haven't heard you say that in a long time. Think about it, have you forgotten who you were waiting for?"

Gatomon paused, Wizardmon's words causing it to involuntarily begin to recall. Indeed, back in its infancy, Gatomon had been waiting for someone, but day after day, day after day, it waited relentlessly, yet in the end, no one came...

"This is a perfect opportunity to get rid of the vampire beast and find the light in your heart!"

Wizardmon suddenly spoke excitedly,

"Gatomon, don't hesitate!"

Just as Gatomon was struggling internally, BlackGatomon suddenly let out a sharp taunt.

"Hmph, even if we do get it, so what? You're not so naive as to think that endless waiting will actually bring some good results, are you?"

"The person you're waiting for has already completely forgotten about you!"

"No one can help you except yourself, sob sob..."

"Sorry, this guy has a feline distemper attack."

Taiichi picked up BlackGatomon and covered its mouth to stop it from saying another word. Then, Taiichi chuckled awkwardly and said to Gatomon...

But even though it said it wouldn't disturb, the interruption caused Gatomon's carefully cultivated emotions to vanish without a trace. However, it had already made its choice, so Gatomon nodded.

Seemingly persuaded by Wizardmon, Gatomon's appearance has changed drastically since then. Taichi couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he felt that Gatomon looked much better now.

He then saw Gatomon turn around and bow to him.

"My destined one, I beg you to help me rid myself of the vampire beast. I will repay you with everything I have."
