However, they have never deeply considered the rationality and completeness of this goal itself.

"But if we don't take the path of 'complete Qi transformation,' where will the end of the three stages of reverse life be?"

How can one truly achieve 'ascension to immortality' or 'attain immortality'? New questions followed one after another.

Amidst this endless contemplation and self-questioning, Wang Xuan's brow furrowed deeper and deeper, as if he were trapped in an unsolvable philosophical paradox.

He suddenly opened his eyes wide, his pupils slightly contracting in the moonlight, as if he had caught something crucial!

Wang Xuan gasped softly, jolted awake from his deep contemplation.

"I think I've... gotten myself into a dead end!"

He realized that he might have misunderstood the true meaning of the word "attaining the Tao" from the very beginning!

"Attaining the Way... what does it mean to 'attain the Way'?"

He forced himself to step outside the specific cultivation methods of the Threefold Reversal of Life and to think about things at a more fundamental level.

"What exactly is the 'Tao'?"

His thoughts drifted to the Tao Te Ching, hailed as the king of all classics, as he pondered its explanations of the Tao.

"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao; the name that can be named is not the eternal name..."

"There is a thing, formed in the midst of chaos, that existed before heaven and earth. It is silent and desolate, yet independent and unchanging, and it circulates without end. It can be considered the mother of heaven and earth. I do not know its name, but I will call it the Tao..."

"Tao begets one, one begets two, two begets three, three begets all things..."

Ancient scriptures flowed through my heart. According to these descriptions, the "Tao" is formless and intangible, and cannot be accurately described in words; it existed before heaven and earth.

It is the ultimate origin and law of evolution that gives birth to all things in the world. It is omnipresent and permeates everything.

"It can be said that all things in the world, the sun, moon, stars, mountains, rivers, birds and beasts, and even a single blade of grass and a single tree, are all evolved from the 'Tao' and contain traces of the 'Tao'."

Wang Xuan's eyes grew brighter and brighter, as if the clouds had parted to reveal the sun.

"From this perspective, 'Tao' can encompass all things in the world!"

He abruptly changed the subject, his tone becoming incredibly certain.

“You cannot simply point to a stone and say, ‘That is the Dao!’ The stone is merely one manifestation of the Dao, a concrete expression of the Dao on the material level, not the essence of the Dao!”

Similarly, is the "Qi transformation" or even "ascension to immortality" pursued by the Reverse Life Triple Realm necessarily the only manifestation of "attaining the Dao"?

Is it necessarily the ultimate manifestation of "Tao"?

I wonder if I was too fixated on the form changes inherent in the "Reverse Rebirth Triple" technique.

But what about neglecting to perceive the deeper, unchanging "Tao" that permeates all forms?

This sudden realization was like a tiny crack being carved into his blocked path. Although he had not yet seen the light, he felt a direction and possibility he had never experienced before.

He was no longer in a hurry to think about how to "transform Qi", but began to ponder how to use the path of reverse rebirth to get closer to the formless and omnipresent "Dao".

Under the moonlight, Wang Xuan closed his eyes again, but this time, his mind was no longer confined to the circulation of his meridians and Qi.

Instead, it seemed to blend into the surrounding night breeze, the soil beneath one's feet, the starry sky above... trying to sense that which exists within all things, evolves all things, yet transcends all things... "Tao".

Chapter 94 The Road Is Still Under Our Feet

Wang Xuan suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze no longer filled with confusion and struggle, but with a clear and enlightened look.

He realized that he had been like a traveler rushing on his way, only focusing on the specific path of "Triple Rebirth" under his feet.

They racked their brains trying to figure out how to pave this road to a predetermined destination, but forgot to look up at the sky, appreciate the scenery around them, and even think about the ultimate meaning of why they embarked on this road.

He repeated the word in a low voice, as if he were truly recognizing it for the first time.

If the "Tao" is formless and without appearance, the origin that gives birth to all things, then "attaining the Tao" may not be about transforming oneself into a specific form.

Rather, it is about... allowing one's own existence, regardless of its form, to be in harmony with this 'Tao,' to understand it, to integrate into it, and to become a part of its natural flow.

This idea was like a spring breeze and rain, nourishing his parched and confused heart.

He no longer focused on the specific technical challenge of "how to completely transform the body into Qi," but instead turned his attention to a grander and more fundamental direction—how to perceive and understand "Tao."

This allows one's "reverse rebirth" process to become a form of spiritual practice that aligns with the "Tao."

He was still sitting cross-legged under the old locust tree, but his posture had become more relaxed and natural.

He slowly closed his eyes. This time, he wasn't looking inward at his own meridians and Qi Sea, but rather at all his senses and all his feelings.

Like countless invisible tentacles, they gently extend outwards, spreading towards all things in the surrounding world.

He no longer tried to "control" his own Qi to run along the specific route of the Reverse Life Triple, but rather, as if opening a floodgate, he allowed the pure innate Qi in his body to flow in a more natural and gentle way.

With his breath and his thoughts, it flowed slowly, creating a subtle connection with the outside world.

At first, all was quiet except for the rustling of leaves in the night wind and the faint chirping of insects in the distance. But gradually, Wang Xuan's perception began to change.

He "heard" more than just sounds—he heard the "rhythm" of all things in motion.

Beneath my feet, tiny lives wriggle and breathe in the soil, radiating a quiet yet tenacious vitality; beside me, the old locust tree, with its deep roots and outstretched branches, is slowly and continuously photosynthesizing and regenerating.

Its life rhythm is ancient and long; the moonlight flowing in the sky does not seem to be a lifeless light, but a flow of cool and pure energy.

Even the dust particles floating in the air move irregularly with the airflow, yet they conform to some deep-seated laws.

His sense of touch is no longer limited to his skin. He can feel the changes in temperature and humidity of the night wind, and he can feel the faint but constant pulse coming from the depths of the earth.

It's as if the Earth itself is a giant living organism.

He could feel the Qi field around him resonating and exchanging with the sparse yet active primordial Qi of heaven and earth that was everywhere in the environment.

He could even “see”—not with his physical eyes, but with his spiritual sense—the omnipresent yet formless traces of the “Tao” in his surroundings.

It exists in the growth and decay of plants, in the gathering and scattering of clouds, in the alternating movement of stars and moon, and in every moment of the cycle of birth and death of all things.

"I see……"

A sudden realization dawned on Wang Xuan.

“Going against the grain is not the goal, but a method, a stance.”

"All things in heaven and earth are born from the Dao, from nothing to something, which is called 'following the natural order'."

The "reverse rebirth" concept emphasizes "reverse" because it involves cultivating in a reverse way to shed acquired impurities and return to the purity of one's innate nature.

This allows for a clearer perception of the underlying "Tao" that creates "smoothness."

His mind became increasingly ethereal, as if he were gradually forming a deep connection with this small courtyard, with the night, and with the entire natural universe.

He was no longer an independent practitioner who tried to fight against or change his own form, but had become a stroke in this grand painting, trembling slightly with the overall rhythm.

In this state, the innate Qi within the body begins to circulate spontaneously and slowly.

It no longer adheres to the fixed route recorded in the Reverse Life Triple Technique, but rather seems to have its own spirit, flowing, permeating, and transforming along the smoothest path of Wang Xuan's interaction with heaven and earth.

He felt that his Qi, which had already reached a state of perfection and seemed to have been condensed to its limit, was beginning to undergo some extremely subtle changes in this state of "relaxation" and "integration".

It is no longer merely a symbol of great power, but possesses an indescribable "vitality" and "spirituality," as if it has come alive and resonates more deeply with the "Taoist rhythm" of the outside world.

This change is not an improvement in the level of power, but a qualitative change, a change that is closer to the origin.

Wang Xuan could even vaguely sense that the barrier that had troubled him for so long seemed to have become less indestructible in this state.

It wasn't that he forcefully attacked it, but rather that when his own state of being became closer to the "Tao," that barrier itself seemed to naturally...dissolve.

He didn't know if this was the opportunity for a breakthrough, but he was certain that he was on the right track!

No longer fixated on form, but focused on spirit; no longer striving against adversity, but comprehending the Way.

Time slipped by quietly, the moon had already set in the west, and the eastern sky was beginning to lighten with the first light of dawn.

Wang Xuan remained immersed in that profound state of being in harmony with the Dao, his aura perfectly natural and blending seamlessly with his surroundings.

A few locust leaves, blown down by the morning breeze, even fell on him, and several early birds hopped and chirped on branches not far from him.

But it did not disturb him in the slightest, as if he were just a stone or an old tree in the courtyard.

When the first rays of dawn pierced through the thin mist and shone on Wang Xuan's face, he slowly and very naturally opened his eyes.

His eyes shone with a restrained light, clear as water yet deep as an abyss, as if reflecting the profound truths of the universe he had just comprehended.

He exhaled softly, a breath long and pure, which transformed into a white ribbon in the cool morning air, lingering for a long time.

"The Way is all around us..."

Wang Xuan stood up, stretched his somewhat stiff limbs, and a genuine, peaceful smile, unseen for a long time, appeared on his face.

Although he had not yet found the specific method to break through the third level of the Reverse Life Triple Stage, he had found his direction and his mindset. He was no longer anxious or confused.

He understood that the next stage of cultivation would no longer be about arduous struggle, but about using his heart to comprehend and integrate, allowing his own "rebellion" to align with the "Dao" of heaven and earth.

He glanced at the rising sun on the horizon, feeling the vibrant life force of all things reviving, and his heart was filled with an unprecedented peace and certainty.

The road ahead is still long, but a guiding light has been lit in my heart. This light is the pursuit and harmony with the "Tao".

As for what state one will ultimately reach—whether it's complete Qi transformation or some other form—it's no longer important.

The important thing is that on this path, he took every step steadily, clearly, and in accordance with the Way.

"The road is still under our feet!"

Chapter 95 Fengtian

Once the shackles of thought are broken, it's like unloading a heavy burden.

Wang Xuan's cultivation has recently become smoother and more natural, no longer as he had been struggling with the previous stagnation and anxiety.

He no longer focused on the specific goal of "reversing the cycle of rebirth," but instead immersed himself more in understanding the "Taoist rhythm" of the surrounding nature.

Observe the sunrise and sunset, witness the withering and flourishing of plants, listen to the sounds of wind and rain, and feel the pulse of the earth. The innate Qi within the body then circulates actively, though there is no significant increase in strength.

However, its purity and spirituality increase day by day, and its integration with the world and environment becomes more profound and harmonious.

My mind was at peace, as if I had achieved a harmonious unity with the old house, the small village, and the mountains and rivers.

However, this hard-won peace was eventually shattered by external turmoil.

That afternoon, Wang Xuan had just finished a casual breathing exercise when his cell phone, which was placed on the stone mill beside him, suddenly rang, breaking the tranquility of the courtyard.

He picked up his phone, looked at the unfamiliar number from Northeast China on the screen, raised his eyebrows slightly, as if he had a premonition.

Pressing the answer button, a slightly deep male voice, carrying a hint of urgency and authority, came through:

"Hello? Is this... Mr. Wang Xuan?"

Wang Xuan replied calmly, "It's me. Are you Gao Lian?"

"Yes, yes, yes! It's me, Gao Lian from the Northeast Region!"

Gao Lian on the other end of the phone seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, and his tone was filled with barely suppressed excitement.

"Mr. Wang, I apologize for disturbing you!"

Wang Xuan understood. This matter originated from Er Zhuang. That day outside Biyou Village, Er Zhuang forcibly "intruded" into his phone in spirit form to ask for help, and he agreed at the time.

Presumably, Erzhuang later told her father, Gao Lian, about this.

In fact, Gao Lian was both shocked and bewildered when he first heard about this from his daughter.

He was shocked that his daughter knew someone like Wang Xuan, a figure even the company headquarters kept secret, and even more shocked that Wang Xuan might have the ability to heal Er Zhuang's almost hopeless injuries.

After learning the general situation from Erzhuang, Gao Lian felt a surge of hope and excitement that he hadn't felt in many years.

But as the regional head, he acted according to his own methods. He first secretly investigated Wang Xuan's relevant information, especially the "resurrection" that Liao Zhong had personally experienced.

He then contacted Liao Zhong, who had just finished his mission in Biyou Village and was resting and reporting back, to personally confirm Wang Xuan's miraculous healing abilities.

After receiving confirmation from his old friend, Gao Lian no longer hesitated and immediately submitted a detailed report and application to the company headquarters, hoping that the headquarters could coordinate and ask Wang Xuan to treat Gao Yushan.

Chairman Zhao Fangxu pondered the report for a long time after receiving it.

He comprehensively assessed Wang Xuan's behavior patterns, strength, and potential risks to date, and concluded that the benefits outweighed the drawbacks.

If we can establish a good relationship with Wang Xuan through this, it would be a good thing for the company.

Ultimately, he approved Gao Lian's request and instructed that Wang Xuan be given the highest level of courtesy and respect.

Because of this complete process, there was a considerable amount of time that passed between Erzhuang's initial contact with Wang Xuan and Gao Lian's formal invitation.

"Okay, I know."
