After spending these days together, she was certain that the personal maid was a very assertive type, which was why Elliot sent her to assist Lenia.

"Oh, so will there be a second attack?"

Lenia nodded and asked, while Catherine shook her head and said, "No, that won't happen. Attacking twice in one go would be too conspicuous. You are, after all, the daughter of an earl. Alice Tolan wouldn't dare to do that."

The personal maid was proven wrong in no time.

The slowly moving carriage did not affect passersby, and the people consciously made way for it. Unfortunately, the peace did not last long. The carriage suddenly stopped, causing Lenia to fall onto Maginus and Catherine's laps.

"What happened?"

Lenia steadied her headdress and asked. Maginus stepped out of the carriage. A guard looked helplessly at the child lying on the ground wailing, looking completely at a loss.

Ah, first the horse went mad, then they sent someone to stage an accident. Should we say that Alice Tolan is boring, or too audacious?

He waved to Catherine inside the carriage, and the maid saw this scene after getting off the train. Many people had already begun to gather in this direction.

"It seems they're bullying Miss Lenya because they know she wants to be labeled as kind."

Maginus's indifferent tone made Catherine feel that the girl was mocking her, even though she knew Maginus didn't mean it that way, she couldn't help but think it.

The maid, with a gloomy face, waved to the guard to send her away.

This illegitimate daughter of a noble family finally showed a sliver of ruthlessness, but the guards hesitated to act, their last shred of conscience preventing them from killing such a young child.

Catherine took a deep breath and stepped forward to handle the matter, but Maginus's attention was on the crowd. He casually said, "Leave it to me. You just come with me."

The girl was careful to make sure no one could get close to the carriage that Lenia was riding in, which was surrounded by guards. The two of them walked together to the wailing child.

A thirteen or fourteen-year-old girl, who was somewhat dirty and about the same age as Maginus, howled even louder when she saw the newcomer.

Maginus had no sympathy for his peers. He stepped forward, grabbed the girl by the neck, lifted her high, and threw her aside.

"A nobleman from out of town is assaulting someone!"

Just as someone in the crowd shouted this, Maginus, who had already released a red mist, confirmed the person behind the staged accident, raised her psychic blade high into the air, and locked onto one of the many people who looked up.

She kicked the shifty-eyed woman directly in the chest. Taking advantage of his inability to speak due to the excruciating pain, the girl used her Nen blade to slash his clothes and skin, forcing him to reveal his tattoos.

It was a cat with its back arched and its face contorted in a menacing expression.

Black Cat Gang?

These days, Maginus certainly didn't just spend all her time reading in the library; she also learned about all sorts of people from all walks of life.

Having identified the woman, Maginus raised his dagger and plunged it into her heart. Ignoring the terrified residents around him, he turned to Catherine and said:

"Lady Catherine, time is running out. Please take the young lady to the appointment. I'll excuse myself for a moment to deal with these disrespectful insects and rats."

Chapter 153 The Villainous Female Supporting Character or the Feminized Playboy?

Catherine watched as Maginus swiftly and decisively killed someone, unsure of what the guard was planning to do, but she chose to trust Earl Elliott's orders and turned to the guard, saying:

"Keep moving forward. We're wasting so much time, we're almost going to miss the banquet."

The carriage left without any obstruction, and the onlookers, before they could be stirred up by those with ulterior motives, were stunned by Maginus's indiscriminate killing.

They remembered the aloofness of nobles and their lackeys, who dared not object to the departing carriage. To nobles, ordinary people without power were merely expendable resources to be disposed of at will, with some pretext to be found.

Maginos understood this deeply; having fallen from grace, she knew it better than anyone.

Unintentionally obstructing a noble's carriage is a crime with unclear sentencing in the Crystal Salt Kingdom, but the girl doesn't intend to fabricate such a crime; that would be too troublesome.

Alice Toran has a ready-made and much more serious charge. Although Maginus has killed an innocent passerby, she will soon be able to find charges against both the passerby and the person who staged the accident.

This charge could affect Alice Torran, and if Terra Torran doesn't deal with it, it could even cause him a huge headache.

Well, the Black Cat Gang, a local gang, attempted to create chaos by kidnapping Lenya Sylvis, which led Count Sylvis to attack the capital of Crystal Salt Kingdom... ultimately resulting in the Count launching an attack on the capital.

Simply put, it's about espionage and treason. The entire Black Cat Gang could be a spy organization, so is this actually orchestrated by Terra Torran, the Black Cat Gang's protector?

The wise king would certainly not believe such a thing, but the other nobles and officials in the city would definitely use it to attack Earl Toran.

Looking around at the terrified crowd, Maginus raised her hand and severed the head of the woman she had just killed. Ignoring the girl who had already fled, she set off towards the Black Cat Gang's stronghold based on the information she had gathered.

Her plan can be summarized in one sentence.

First, kill a large group of people to make a big scene, then arbitrarily accuse those people of a few crimes. Next, trace the root cause and shift everyone's attention from Lenia to the culprit, Alice Torran.

“Miss, I still believe that your approach to the matter is wrong. At the very least, you should inform the Earl…”

"Oh! Shut up!"

Snapped!

The talkative maid was slapped and immediately shut her mouth and backed away. The haughty Alice Tolan glanced at the maid with disgust, her eyes fixed on the door, constantly calculating when the Silvs carriage would appear.

His maid was so talkative, saying things like "nobles shouldn't associate with lowlifes" and "they shouldn't have been sent to intercept Sylvis's carriage." Humph, that country nobleman only deserved such treatment!

Alice Toran is a spoiled noblewoman, the complete opposite of Lenia. She is the same type of spoiled, or rather, domineering, bullying villain in bard stories.

She has two older brothers and no younger siblings, which means that as the youngest child, she is the most pampered and has no burdens. From birth to the present, everything has gone smoothly for her.

In addition, since her father is one of the most powerful counts in the capital, Alice Tolan has nothing to fear from anyone. She has been a tyrant since birth, and even His Majesty the King treats her with great care.

From childhood to adulthood, there were only two things she was never able to obtain: her engagement to Prince Ronald and his love for her.

Alice was heartbroken when she heard that His Highness the Prince was engaged to Lenia Sylvis, a noblewoman from the countryside.

Alice was excited when she learned that the guy who had stolen her love was coming to the capital. She vowed to make Lenya go back to her hometown no matter what.

The servants and the Black Cat Gang she commanded were just the first step. She planned to use Lenya's lateness as an excuse to berate her for looking down on noble girls from the capital, and then…

Before Alice could even feel happy about the future, she saw the Silvs carriage arriving at the manor on time.

"A bunch of trash!"

Cursing the useless bastard and the gang, Alice patted her cheeks and put on a polite smile as she went out to greet Lenya Sylvis.

In the end, she still had to take matters into her own hands, but that didn't matter. If Plan One failed, there was Plan Two and Plan Three. She wanted to embarrass Lenya with her manners, as well as a series of other offenses such as disrespect.

……

"Did Mine go deal with the guys who were blocking us?"

Lenia was worried about the departing girl, constantly looking back through the rear carriage window at the street. Catherine couldn't help but remind her:

"You should be careful of yourself. Alice Toran is a completely shameless person. You need to protect yourself and show some of the aura of a young lady. Be a little fierce!"

"Where do I get the fierce look?"

Even when Lenia made a fierce gesture, she was still very cute and not aggressive at all. As the carriage stopped, the girl smiled and stepped out of the carriage with her maid, entering the afternoon tea area. Her gaze swept over the faces of the young ladies, recognizing them one by one, and she greeted them.

"Hello, Miss Sylvie, I've heard so much about you."

A haughty voice rang out, and Lenia turned around with a forced smile. She saw a haughty girl with long, curly blonde hair, who obediently and flawlessly bowed:

"Hello, Miss Toran, nice to meet you."

Tsk, an even more troublesome bastard than Christina.

Oh, good girl.

With just one glance, the two realized they didn't get along, but they still smiled and expressed acceptance of each other, maintaining a fragile facade of friendship at the tea party.

The two asked each other questions, as if the previous targeting of Alice Toran was not her doing.

She wasn't nervous at all. Having been pampered since childhood, Alice had no basic political sense and was unaware that she had caused her father a little trouble.

Even if she knew, she wouldn't care; it would just be a minor inconvenience, something she herself had already caused countless times.

Lenia treads carefully and tries to survive at this banquet, but after about two hours, she is caught out by a nitpicker. Just as she picks up her tea to take a sip, Alice's smiling face turns grim.

“Miss Sylvie, didn’t your etiquette teacher teach you not to tap your teacup lid?”

The noblewoman, having found the fault, began to reprimand Lenia. Just as Catherine was getting anxious, she saw Maginus enter from outside the manor, appearing like a savior.

Chapter 154 Shifting the Focus

Rewind time and shift the focus to Maginos.

She had arrived at the Black Cat Gang's stronghold. The girl walked directly towards the small stronghold. When the thugs guarding the gate saw the beautiful girl, their eyes lit up. They whistled and tried to strike up a conversation.

Maginus didn't say much. She conjured a psychic blade and threw it at one of the men, then pressed down on another and slammed him to the ground. She then asked the thug whose face she was pressing down on, "Is your leader in the house? Answer me."

"In, inside, if you kill me..."

With a single sword strike, Maginus killed the thug who was about to utter threats. Then, she kicked the door open, causing it to collapse. As the door fell, a large number of people inside the stronghold looked over, but what they saw was not a young girl, but a red mist surging into the building.

She drew her Guardian Angel, then threw a nimble blade with her left hand, killing another person. Following the spreading red mist, she found the strongest thug and pierced his heart with her sword. When she pulled out the blade, blood swished through the air and turned into red mist that continued to spread.

When fighting against multiple opponents, you must first create a suitable terrain; otherwise, it will be difficult to escape if surrounded. At least for now, Maginus doesn't have any area-of-effect attacks.

Cut along the way!

As she drew her longsword with a backhand motion, the girl, without moving a step, turned and swung it at the dancer who was closer to the burly man and had already picked up her weapon to attack.

The dancer's crudely made iron sword was broken, leaving a deep, bone-revealing wound on her chest. As she fell straight backward, she could only watch as the blood in her body seeped out and turned into mist.

"Rat, where is your leader?"

Ignoring the angry shouts around her, Maginus smiled through the fog: "Do you know that your leader chose to kill a count's daughter for his own future?"

"What, murder!?"

The girl's words stirred up a storm. The gang members, who had attacked the gang without knowing who or why, reacted, and one of them shouted loudly towards the area upstairs not yet shrouded in red mist:

"Boss Barton! You said you were just doing a job to scare some noble ladies from out of town!"

Killing the count's daughter was something these thugs wouldn't even dare to dream of; one wrong move and it wouldn't just be a matter of death.

The screams coming from downstairs were loud. The gang leader had already opened the door to check the situation. When he heard Maginus's question and his men's interrogation, he panicked and opened the door, shouting:

"I only wanted to stop the noble lady from out of town from her journey; I never intended to do anything else!"

Unfortunately, explanations were useless. Openly attacking nobles was no longer something that could be resolved with just words, especially since Maginus wanted to escalate the situation further.

Looking up at the gang leader, Maginus flicked her longsword, filling the entire room with red mist. She then leaped up, using a small object as leverage, to the second floor, determined to kill the gang leader first.

……

About thirty minutes later, aside from a few scattered gang members who had managed to escape, Maginus had dealt with everyone in the small gang's hideout. She then sat down on a chair next to the corpses to rest for a while.

The minor wounds on her body were healing quickly, and the bloodstains were falling off on their own. Instead of rushing to the Toran family, she left the body behind and returned to Lenia's manor, where she found Captain Jess, the guard captain, in her room.

"Why are you here?"

Jess opened the door and looked down at the girl with slight surprise. Maginus told Jess about her thoughts and actions, and he nodded slightly after listening.

"Give Terra Torran a little trouble... Alright, this plan is feasible. I'll go inform the city guards and have them collect the body. By the way, do you have the body of the guy who tried to scam girls on the street?"

"I've already disposed of the gang leader's body here."

Spells can be used to communicate with the dead by asking a few questions using the residual soul energy within the corpse. However, if the location of the soul's central organ, the brain, and the heart are damaged, it will be difficult to find clues about the corpse using spells.

Not to mention that Maginus has completely drained some people's soul energy, leaving them with virtually no worries.

"Alright, leave the rest to me. Go and inform Miss Lenya to cooperate in staging a drama. But don't get too carried away with your actions. If the capital really wants to investigate, it will be easy to find out that Alice Tolan did it."

Jess closed the door, and the sound of armor clanging came from the room. Maginus turned and left, and after arriving at Count Toran's manor, he took out his identification and entered. He saw a somewhat anxious maid and Lenia being scolded by a minor nobleman.

"Oh, Mine, thank goodness you're finally here!"

Catherine almost cried out. The girl looked at the troubled Lenia and leaned in to tell the maid what had happened and how to deal with it.

Snap

Despite the young nobleman pointing a finger at her, Lenia maintained a smile on her face, secretly wishing she could slap him. Just as the young lady was about to apologize to prevent further trouble, Catherine rushed over and stopped her.

The maid glanced at Alice Tolan with feigned fear, then whispered in Lenia's ear. After hearing the plan, Lenia suppressed her excitement and lowered her head with an angry and gloomy expression.

“I understand,” Lenia said in a low voice.

Alice's little follower hadn't figured out what was going on and tried to steer the conversation back on track, continuing to discuss the previous rudeness. But Lenia didn't give her the chance at all, raising her hand and slapping her across the face.

"And what kind of title does your father hold that he dares to interfere in my affairs!"

The obedient girl's sudden display of arrogance startled everyone. Alice, however, was intrigued and stood up to reprimand her.

Instead, Clare slammed her hands on the table, biting her lip to feign anger and a tearful expression, and loudly proclaimed what she had learned, ensuring all the young ladies present could hear:

"Alice Tolan, I know you're furious because of my engagement to Prince Ronald, but that's no excuse for your gang's rats to assassinate me!!"

This roar caused many young ladies to stand up abruptly, their faces filled with terror as they looked at Alice Tolan.

They had always been "playing around," never intending to kill anyone; Alice had clearly crossed the line.

"What? No, I didn't!"
