Warfarin's screams echoed across the bridge.

Ifrit quickly pressed her hand down, trying to extinguish the flames, while glaring at Qi Yan and growling:

"Shut up! I can't control it anymore!"

Qi Yan, dangling in mid-air, chuckled and said:

"Little girl, the last guy who was bewitched by the voice in his heart almost killed his cherished friends and is now locked up in a cell on the island, isolating himself."

You should know this, shouldn't you?

“Talulah?” Ifrit gritted her teeth and nodded vigorously. “Of course I know her. I’m not going to be like her!”

"No, no, no, you can try it."

Qi Yan swayed in the air, completely unconcerned, and said, "Just burn me, and then personally experience what it feels like to burn your own people. Although we don't have much of a relationship, we're still on the same side. I don't mind helping you experience the pain of hurting your comrades."

"Are you... are you crazy?"

Ifrit was somewhat taken aback by Qi Yan's words.

Unbeknownst to her, the flame in her palm slowly went out.

Qi Yan grinned: "I just insulted you, and now you insulted me back. We both insulted each other unintentionally, so we're even."

"What the hell is this!"

Ifrit felt like she was going crazy.

Despite Ifrit's disheveled state, Qi Yan remained nonchalant, swaying precariously in mid-air as he spoke:

"I'm sharing my experience in managing stress. If you encounter messy and annoying things, it's useless to try to suppress them. You need to learn to vent appropriately."

Or, like me, when I have nothing better to do, I indulge in reckless fun, emptying my mind and acting on impulse. When you become more wicked than the devil within you, it can only become a source of amusement for your idle chatter.

"Can this still happen?"

Ifrit's eyes widened.

"Ifrit, don't listen to this white-haired dog's nonsense. He's immortal, so he can just court death at will!"

Warfarin swung her legs twice, lifted her black-stockinged legs and kicked Qi Yan, then continued, "However, it's okay to vent appropriately, like you could set a fire now and burn our ropes."

Even with Warfarin's support, Ifrit still seemed somewhat hesitant:

"But my Originium Arts always get out of control. I brought a knife, so I'll use it to cut the rope."

"You're looking down on me, Warfarin!"

Warfarin kicked her legs wildly in mid-air and shouted, "I, Warfarin, have practiced medicine for many years. As long as there is a breath left in my body, I can save you. You think you can kill someone in front of me with the mere flames of the Balrog?"

“She’s right, so let’s burn those two first and gain experience.”

The PhD student was secretly offering advice from the sidelines.

"That's right, burn me first."

Qi Yan's face was filled with anticipation: "Don't believe in yourself, believe in me, believe in me who believes in you, let the flames purify everything!"

Ifrit looked at the deranged, white-haired Luper in front of her, and her heart skipped a beat.

Why is this guy different from everyone else?

No one ever told her that she could vent her emotions; everyone always hoped that she could control her impulses and learn to calm down.

"Can I do it?"

Ifrit's hand trembled almost imperceptibly, and the flames reignited.

She slowly raised her palm and pointed it at Qi Yan.

You can't do it!

A voice suddenly emerged from the depths of her heart, startling Ifrit so much that she trembled.

The flames shot out of his hand, heading straight for Qi Yan's face.

Ifrit's eyes were filled with panic, she staggered backward, and closed her eyes, unable to look.

"Wow, it's so hot!"

With a thud as something heavy hit the ground, Qi Yan's strange scream rang in Ifrit's ears.

Ifrit's heart trembled, and she kept her eyes tightly shut, not daring to open them, until a footstep slowly approached her.

A warm hand rested on her head and gently rubbed it.

"Sorry, I might have pushed you a bit just now, but you've successfully taken the first step. Compared to your previous outbursts, that flame was incredibly gentle."

Qi Yan's laughter reached Ifrit's ears.

Ifrit opened her eyes, but the charred face she expected did not appear. Qi Yan's face was still clean and white, with a bright smile on his face.

"Are you alright?" Ifrit asked in surprise.

“There’s still something wrong.” Qi Yan pointed to the area on his chest where there was a black burn mark. “You’ve successfully controlled the flame temperature, but the precision is a bit lacking. You need to practice more.”

Ifrit blinked.

She clearly remembered that when her flames went out of control, they flew towards Qi Yan's face.

But the facts were right in front of her, and Ifrit couldn't help but feel an unprecedented surge of joy.

Qi Yan watched the girl in front of him gradually becoming excited, his smile unwavering, while his gaze secretly swept backward.

Over there, Warfarin was secretly covering up the traces left by the blood magic she had just cast.

Qi Yan waited until Warfarin finished cleaning up the traces before calmly stepping aside, allowing Ifrit to see Warfarin and the Doctor again.

"It's my turn, it's my turn!"

Warfarin shouted impatiently.

Ifrit hesitated for a moment, then subconsciously looked at Qi Yan, who smiled and nodded at her, placing his warm hand on her shoulder.

"Go ahead and do it boldly. I'll say it again: don't just believe in yourself, believe in me, believe in me who believes in you."

Qi Yan's smile was almost too bright: "If that ghostly voice in your heart dares to come out and scare you again, I'll kill it."

"You can do that?" Ifrit asked, her face full of surprise.

"In my younger sister's words, there's nothing I can't do if I want to."

Qi Yan's confidence seemed contagious, inexplicably bringing Ifrit a sense of peace.

She knew Qi Yan.

Although no one would show her Qi Yan's personnel file or combat videos because of her young age, even just the word-of-mouth stories from the people on Rhodes Island were enough for her to fully understand Qi Yan's terrifying strength.

"Thank you, I'm sure I can do it this time."

Ifrit took a deep breath, and her eyes slowly hardened.

She raised her palm again, and flames appeared.

With a flick of her wrist, flames transformed into a ball that flew past Warfarin's side.

The ropes binding Warfarin snapped.

Chapter 152 Recruiting Soldiers and Buying Horses

Warfarin screamed and fell from mid-air, landing headfirst on the floor.

Seeing this, Ifrit became even more excited and, seizing the opportunity, unleashed a fireball, successfully freeing the Doctor.

"Kal'tsit, do you think you can trap me?"

As soon as the PhD student landed, he couldn't wait to show off: "I am free!"

"I advise you not to be too happy too soon." Qi Yan poured cold water on him. "The three of us are capable of escaping from Kal'tsit's pursuit. Only you, you can only run a few steps and then pant for three minutes. Kal'tsit doesn't even need to call M3 to take action. She can just grab you by the neck and subdue you herself."

PhD:"……"

Even though it was broad daylight, he suddenly felt that a star in the sky called the Death Star was slowly getting brighter.

"No, we can't just sit here and wait to die. We must resist Kal'tsit's tyranny. Freedom belongs to everyone on Rhodes Island!"

The doctor clenched his fists, looking ready to rise up in rebellion.

Warfarin got up, dusted herself off, and asked in confusion:

"Who are you? Why are you on the bridge of Rhodes Island? Do I know you?"

Qi Yan pulled Ifrit back a short distance, and said warily:

“Eve, be careful of this stranger who suddenly appeared on our island. Stay away from him; we don’t know him.”

Ifrit looked left and right, then belatedly realized what she meant and nodded seriously:

"I'll stay away from that suspicious hooded man for the next few days!"

PhD:???

"Don't go too far! Aren't we the three giants of Rhodes Island's bridge?!" the Doctor roared. "And don't corrupt Ifrit, you idiot!"

Qi Yan chuckled and said, "Actually, if you want to escape Kal'tsit's punishment, I do have a way."

Seeing the doctor's eyes light up and looking at him expectantly, Qi Yan coughed lightly and shared:

"That means finding a prison to spend some time in jail. I happen to have a very suitable target here: Mansfield Prison in Columbia, which is known as a place where once you go in, you can't get out."

"Then I might as well find another rope and hang myself back up."

The doctor rolled his eyes and instantly lost interest.

Qi Yan, however, persisted in persuading him, "Don't rush to refuse. I'll go too. When the time comes, the two of us will join forces and unify the prison, directly establishing a branch island of Rhode Island's Mansfield Prison!"

"Our strength and power will determine the fate of Kal'tsit's tyranny!"

"I refuse, I'm not going, I'm not interested."

The doctor rejected three times in a row, then added, "Rhodes Island has a lot of things to do right now, I'm not like you who's doing nothing."

Qi Yan smacked his lips, a hint of regret in his voice.

He turned to look at Warfarin, who immediately turned and ran away, proving with her actions that she was not interested in prison food.

Ifrit, however, seemed somewhat tempted:

"Going to Columbia, wouldn't that give us a chance to make contact with people from Rhine Life?"

The doctor was somewhat surprised upon hearing this. After considering his words carefully, he tentatively began to speak:

"That's not a good place. Are you looking for someone?"

Ifrit was once used as a live experimental subject at Rhine Labs and forced to undergo many experiments that lowered the bar for human ethics and morality. It's hard for the Doctor to believe that Ifrit would still have any good feelings towards Rhine Labs.

The doctor suspected that ifeveryone might unleash the Fiery Demon within her body after they met, setting Rhine Lab ablaze.

"No, with Qi Yan around, Ifrit definitely won't suffer any losses. This is a great opportunity for revenge!"

A sudden realization dawned on the doctor, and he felt he had guessed the truth of the matter.

"Don't overthink it."

Knowing the game's plot, Qi Yan glanced at the Doctor, patted Ifrit's head, and laughed, "I know you want to go to Columbia to see someone, but Himer will also be going to Mansfield Prison this time. If you can persuade her, I don't mind taking you along."

Ifrit was immediately deflated: "Hime won't agree."

Seeing this, Qi Yan didn't say anything irrelevant.

The parents are divorced, and the single mother struggles to raise the child, preventing the child from ever seeing the father.

Please give your child a complete family!

"Don't worry, this time I'm working with Himer and I'll help mediate the conflict between Himer and Saria," Qi Yan reassured softly.

Ifrit's eyes sparkled as she looked at Qi Yan and nodded vigorously.

As the only outsider present, the Doctor scratched his head through his hood, completely bewildered by what had happened.

"Let's go. We were finally rescued by Eve, why are we still standing on the bridge in the wind?"

Qi Yan gave a shout and turned to leave the bridge.

Ifrit and the Doctor quickly composed themselves and followed Qi Yan furtively, ready to turn tail and run away at any moment if their whereabouts were discovered.
