The squad leader waved and led Qi Yan to a shop in the mall.

"Eldo, where is he? Come out here right now!" the squad leader shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Here we are, what's up?"

A young Ursus man walks out of the store.

The squad leader pointed at Qi Yan and said:

"Find this new guy a uniform, a new one, not the recycled kind."

Eldo nodded, took out a measuring tape from his pocket, and measured Qi Yan's face.

Following Eldo's instructions, Qi Yan slowly turned around.

A figure, like a snow sprite, suddenly came into Qi Yan's view.

Chapter 024 Her legs are really white

Qi Yan's gaze unconsciously drifted along with it.

Eldo gently tapped Qi Yan's shoulder with his measuring tape.

"Newcomer, don't move around or stare. That's our Reunion Movement's Yeti Princess. It's very impolite to keep staring."

The squad leader also noticed Qi Yan's gaze, and a soft laugh came from behind his mask as he teased:

"You little rascal, you already have two beautiful girls around you, and you're still looking around like that. Aren't you afraid of getting beaten up on the bed when you get back?"

Qi Yan touched his nose and said:

"Captain, we've practically been sleeping on the floor, where are we going to find a bed for them to hold down and beat me?"

Squad Leader: "..."

Eldo was amused:

"Your captain has been a bachelor since birth. If you provoke him like this, be careful he doesn't make things difficult for you later."

"You talk too much!"

The squad leader raised his leg and kicked.

Eldo had anticipated this, so he put away the measuring tape and dodged away with a grin.

"I've taken the measurements. Wait here for me."

After giving his instructions, Eldo slipped back into the shop he had taken over.

The squad leader muttered curses under his breath, but still managed a friendly gesture towards Eldo's retreating figure, all the while trying to put on a brave face in front of Qi Yan:

"Don't listen to his nonsense. When I was young, I was a heartthrob... Sigh, time flies, life is truly lonely as snow."

Qi Yan immediately added, "Time may fly by for others, but for the captain, it's more like a butcher's knife."

"Screw you!"

As the two chatted and laughed, Eldo returned and brought Qi Yan a brand new uniform.

Qi Yan immediately took off his coat and put on new clothes, but the mask was still hanging on his waist.

Eldo moved a mirror with a broken corner.

In the mirror, the white-haired boy Rupert, dressed in a uniform, exuded a touch of heroism, but the slight upturn of his lips made him look more like a naughty boy researching some new prank.

The squad leader's tone was slightly sour: "That little thing, tsk tsk."

Eldo pinched his nose and joked:

"Some guy who's been chopped by a butcher's knife, the sour smell is almost suffocating me."

"You can't stand not arguing with me for a day, can you? How did I ever manage to rescue you, you unlucky thing?"

The squad leader was so angry that he kicked him.

Unfortunately, Eldo had already grabbed the mirror and turned to run away.

Qi Yan folded his old clothes neatly, held them in his arms, and asked:

"Captain, do you know where the Sarkaz mercenaries are resting?"

"Sarkaz?" The squad leader withdrew his foot, puzzled. "They're on the third floor of the mall. What do you want with them?"

Qi Yan laughed and said, "I heard that one of their leaders is named Ines, and she has very white legs. I want to go and see for myself."

The squad leader's gaze was somewhat strange as he offered a reminder:

"They also have a leader named W, whose grenade launcher is very powerful. I don't want to be picking up your mess in a sack later."

"If I've been blown to bits by that crazy woman, what's the point of picking up anything? I might as well just bring over a couple of the organization's hounds for a meal."

Qi Yan left a sentence, grabbed the old clothes, and ran towards the stairs.

The squad leader shook his head behind him, but didn't stop him.

W is a bit crazy, but unlike Mephisto, there's no need to worry about her actually killing someone.

Qi Yan wandered through the mall, his eyes subconsciously searching for the figure he had just seen.

Unfortunately, that fleeting glimpse of a figure was truly like that of an elf, appearing for only a moment before vanishing without a trace.

"Forget it, even if we find it now, there's nothing to say."

Qi Yan shook his head, putting aside his distracting thoughts.

That girl, like her father, is stubborn and cannot be changed in just a few words.

Instead of wasting time talking, we should hurry up and deal with the culprit.

The third floor wasn't considered high up, and Qi Yan quickly ran up the stairs. Looking around, he found that all he could see were tall Sarkaz with various sharp horns on their heads.

"**! How did you, you scoundrel, manage to sneak in here?"

A familiar curse came from not far away.

Qi Yan turned her head and saw those alluring short skirts and leather pants, along with long legs.

"Can't you judge people by their faces?" W said with a hostile expression, slowly raising the grenade launcher in his hand.

Qi Yan raised his head and said with a grin:

"Don't get excited. I'm a member of Reunion now, and I'm here to find someone."

W walked up to him and asked curiously:

Who are you going to harm this time?

“What do you mean by scourge? I’m here to find your mother… the gentle Ines.”

Under the intimidation of W's slowly raised gun, Qi Yan promptly changed his tune.

W's eyes flashed with hostility, her small face full of vigilance:

"What do you want with Ines?"

"I heard she has very white legs, I'd like to see them."

The grenade launcher is loaded.

"...I heard that her Originium Arts are in Perception, and I want to seek her psychological counseling."

The dark muzzle of the gun was pointed at Qi Yan, as if the barrel wanted to shove it into his eyeballs.

Qi Yan: "..."

W's finger rested lightly on the trigger, a friendly smile on his face: "Go on."

"I have something very important to ask her, but I can't tell you right now."

Qi Yan's expression finally became somewhat serious.

Unfortunately, W showed no intention of backing down, his grenade launcher firmly pressed against Qi Yan's forehead.

The Sarkaz mercenaries around also noticed this, but none of them chose to step forward and watch.

Qi Yan raised his finger, gently moved the grenade launcher aside, and looked directly at W, saying:

“You don’t need to worry that I will hurt Ines. I can keep my distance from her. With her Originium Arts, if I have any ill intentions, she will detect it immediately.”

"I'm not worried about Ines, I'm just annoyed by people like you who have ulterior motives."

W's tone became increasingly harsh.

Qi Yan walked up to W, leaned close to her ear, and whispered:

“I killed Garsen for you. I know his identity. You probably have control of the Sarkaz mercenaries now. Consider this my payment for the job. Agree to this deal.”

A warm breath brushed against W's earlobe.

W's expression was somewhat blank.

This time, she really had the urge to shoot Qi Yan.

But after hesitating for a moment, W put away his grenade launcher.

"Come with me, and it's best not to go past my side."

Qi Yan smiled again and followed W deeper into the Sarkaz.

Aside from the initial confrontation between the two, which attracted some Sarkaz's attention, Qi Yan's presence didn't cause much of a stir.

These Sarkaz seemed somewhat apathetic, not like the herds under Mephisto's command, but rather a numbness born from the lack of any hope or future.

They live, simply to live.

After passing by one Sarkaz after another, Qi Yan soon saw his target.

To be honest, her legs are really white.

"W, who is this... guy who likes to look down at people?"

Ines lowered her hand, trying to block Qi Yan's view.

W placed his hand back on the grenade launcher and said in an unfriendly tone:

"It depends on his next move. If he's lying, then it'll just be a mess of scraps. If he's not lying, then just consider him a bastard."

Ines looked somewhat puzzled.

She sensed that W didn't seem to harbor much hostility towards the young Luper, but his behavior was rather awkward.

It's like... when you first get to know yourself, you always hide your inner thoughts.

Ines looked at Qi Yan with curiosity.

The latter turned to the side, revealing his shadow:

“I mean no harm. You can use Originium Arts to check. I came here to borrow your Originium Arts to help me look at someone.”

Ines glanced casually at Qi Yan's shadow and said indifferently:

"I must refuse, I refuse both. I don't know how you know my Originium Arts, but I don't like to use it to judge a person casually."

Upon hearing this, Qi Yan scratched his head regretfully and straightened up again:

"But what if I said that seeing that person could prevent countless sacrifices?"

Ines was somewhat surprised: "Who do you want me to look at?"

"Tallulah."

As Qi Yan's name fell to the floor, Ines and W both fell silent.

W gently placed his hand on the grenade launcher again, his gaze instinctively sweeping around to make sure no one else was nearby.

Ines's expression was somewhat serious:

"Although we Sarkaz and the Reunion Movement only have a cooperative relationship, Talulah is the supreme leader of the Reunion Movement. Can I interpret this as you trying to incite an internal strife within the Reunion Movement?"

Qi Yan did not deny it, and nodded, saying, "Yes, I hope that Talulah will be abandoned by everyone now!"

"Please leave."

Ines's voice was icy.

Qi Yan glanced at W, said nothing more, and turned to leave alone.
