The scenery receded under the black-haired boy's gaze, and soon, a large manor came into view.

Gertrude led a group of people and stood at the entrance of the manor to personally welcome the boy's arrival.

The car stopped, and the boy opened the car door and walked towards Gertrude:

“Ms. Gertrude, I am here to attend the concert you mentioned. Thank you for your invitation.”

The boy behaved politely and treated Gertrude with aristocratic etiquette.

Gertrude showed no signs of madness at this moment, and after returning the greeting, she chuckled lightly:

“Count Utica, it is my honor to have you here, but some unexpected things have happened and I would like to explain them to you in advance.”

A hint of doubt flashed in the boy's purple eyes.

Under his gaze, Gertrude pulled out a paper leaflet and handed it to him.

As the boy read the leaflet, Gertrude explained:

"As you can see, the concert format has changed into a large-scale talent show. This was somewhat sudden, and I didn't have time to inform you."

After all, as you know, those important figures often make decisions on a whim.

The boy frowned slightly.

He couldn't understand why such an important figure, as Gertrude had mentioned, would appear in Gertrude's territory.

Even if a duke comes from another region, he will at least give the local lord face on the surface when he is in someone else's territory, and will not do such arbitrary and dictatorial things.

Gertrude's behavior was even stranger; knowing that there was a powerful figure above her, she still dared to comment on him in public.

“Ms. Gertrude, let’s not talk about those important people.”

He changed the subject, saying, "Music has no distinction of form; I'm interested in any good music."

A hint of confidence appeared on Gertrude's face:

"Then you will definitely not be disappointed. Viseheim's musical level is among the best in all of Letania."

"I am looking forward."

The two exchanged a smile, followed by a series of tedious rituals, before finally entering the manor.

What followed was a chaotic welcoming banquet, Gertrude's personal musical ensemble playing, and a soporific eulogy to the Twin Queens.

When it was all over, the boy dragged his tired body back to the room Gertrude had prepared for him and collapsed onto the bed.

"Ha, the journey of several days did not tire me out, but I am exhausted so quickly after arriving here. The Empress's power is truly terrifying."

He muttered to himself about his recent experience in a sarcastic tone.

However, he quickly sat up, pulled out a flyer from his pocket, and carefully read the rules.

Just now at the banquet, Gertrude had revealed to him that although he was a nobleman, he was not a judge for the talent show.

He is a contestant.

Such behavior would be a disgrace to any nobleman.

But the boy didn't react much; instead, he seemed somewhat expectant.

His gaze fell on the judges' photos on the flyer, and a slight smirk appeared on his lips:

"Mr. Czerny, I have long admired your reputation. I wonder if I will have the opportunity to hear you perform live this time, as you are a judge."

But who is this judge next to him named Qi Yan?

He looks very young; is he some emerging genius?

He subconsciously glanced at Qi Yan's photo a couple more times, feeling even more excited about the talent show.

Chapter 291 Destined Encounter

"Brother, why hasn't the chalky area arrived yet?"

Murphy sat in the private lounge prepared for the judges, pacing back and forth as if he had hemorrhoids.

He glanced at the door every few seconds, his face filled with worry.

"I told you we should go with him to that clinic that uses Originium Arts to heal him. What if he gets tricked on the way?"

Or perhaps that clinic was actually an illegal clinic, and they were tying up chalk and cutting off its kidneys?

Qi Yan was so annoyed by him that she threw a bottle of water at his head and complained:

"Are you ever going to stop? Bai'e isn't stupid. How could she get lost while going to see a doctor?"

"The key is that he looks so easy to fool."

Murphy rubbed his forehead, looking aggrieved.

Today is the audition for Letania's Got Talent, held at the Sunset Hall, a large concert hall built during the reign of the Witch King.

However, since the rule of the Witch King has been overthrown, the Hall of Sunset has fallen from its former glorious status to become an ordinary landmark building.

Even the area was designated as the Sunset Zone, where infected people congregated.

Even so, any major musical events in Viseheim are still held in the Sunset Hall.

At Qi Yan's request, Bai E also wants to participate as a contestant in this talent show personally designed by Qi Yan.

To this end, Murphy paid out of his own pocket to find a clinic specializing in Originium Arts to treat the injury on White's hand.

Murphy wanted to accompany Bai'er on the trip himself, but Qi Yan stopped him and forcibly dragged him to the Sunset Hall to familiarize himself with the environment.

"Brother, maybe I should go out and take a look. I just don't feel at ease."

Murphy shrugged twice on the chair and then submitted his application again.

Qi Yan was so annoyed by him that she sighed, got up and walked towards the door.

Murphy was overjoyed and hurriedly got up to follow.

The two walked through the corridor and soon arrived at the square outside the Sunset Hall.

Looking around, the crowd was densely packed with people who had come to register for the preliminary selection.

"I heard that as long as you pass the preliminary selection, you can get a prize, and the amount is enough for an ordinary family of three to live on for a month!"

"What's the use? We can't even squeeze in!"

"You spineless cowards! I'm aiming to win the championship and become a specially invited performer for the nobility! You insects, get out of my way and don't ruin my future!"

Most of the participants were infected refugees from the Sunset District, and they were all eager to squeeze in.

But the more chaotic the situation became, the less likely anyone could squeeze in.

The staff, sweating profusely, roared in exasperation:

"Everyone, line up in order! Doing it this way is actually slower!"

Unfortunately, his voice didn't have much effect; no one was willing to give up the spot they had worked so hard to get, fearing they would be pushed to the back of the queue.

In the crowd, the tiny white chalk was squeezed so tightly that its feet were almost off the ground.

"Please make way, I'm not here to register, I'm just going in to find someone."

Bai kept stating his goal and slowly squeezed his way to the front of the crowd, finally managing to strike up a conversation with the staff.

But the staff member looked the chalk up and down a few times, and said impatiently:

"Who can verify what you're saying? What if you're trying to lie and sneak in? That would be unfair to the other applicants. Go back and line up."

After saying that, the staff member's anger completely erupted, and he roared at the chaotic crowd in front of him:

"Everyone line up! If you don't line up today, I won't let you in. Not a single person will get in!"

Seeing that the staff were really angry, the chaotic crowd finally regained some order. Although they did not form a complete queue, they were no longer pushing and shoving each other.

Then the staff member looked at the chalk in front of him and waved his hand, saying:

"Go to the back of the line. I have the utmost contempt for lying kids like you. Even I don't know any of the important people in there, how could a brat like you possibly know them?"

I'll remember you today. Unless everyone in the square has been screened, you definitely won't get a chance.

Upon hearing this, Bai'e immediately became anxious and repeatedly explained:

“I’m really not lying to you. I can go straight in. Have you heard of Mr. Qi Yan?”

And Mr. Murphy, Viscount Murphy, I am their friend.”

"What do you mean by 'speaking and being mute'? I've never heard of that." The staff member became increasingly agitated. "And do you think I'd believe you just because you say you know the Viscount?"

"Why don't you take a piss and look at yourself in the mirror? You think you're worthy of associating with the Viscount!"

Bai'e was both angry and anxious, but unfortunately, he really couldn't produce any evidence.

In the distance, Qi Yan and Murphy, who had just come out of the Sunset Hall, happened to see this scene.

Murphy's anger flared up instantly, and he rolled up his sleeves, ready to rush over and teach the staff member a lesson, but Qi Yan stopped him.

"Brother, it's good that he followed the rules, but his arrogant attitude just makes me angry!"

Murphy didn't dare to struggle, but just stood there angrily saying, "He still dares to yell at Bai'e? Doesn't he know that Bai'e is under my protection?"

"He really doesn't know." Qi Yan chuckled. "Besides, don't worry, the domineering CEO destined for Bai'er has already appeared."

Just as he was wondering, a black-haired boy suddenly appeared behind Bai'e.

Even though the crowd was packed, upon seeing the young man's aristocratic attire, they all strained to dodge to the sides, not daring to touch him in the slightest.

Two teenagers, one in black and one in white, met their destined encounter.

Count Utica narrowed his purple eyes as he carefully examined the white-haired youth before him, feeling a strange sense of familiarity about him.

His gaze fell on the swirl of chalk, and suddenly flashed.

However, he didn't say anything in the end. He simply walked over to the chalk and said to the staff member:

"He's my friend, can you let him in?"

"Yes...yes, of course!" The staff member's face turned pale. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to. I didn't know he actually knew you."

The boy frowned, not quite understanding what the staff member was saying.

White chalk whispered an explanation from the side:

“I wanted to go in to find my friend, but I couldn’t prove my identity and he stopped me.”

The boy nodded knowingly, immediately assuming the role of this friend, and confidently took Whitey's hand as they walked into the Sunset Hall.

After the two left, the staff breathed a sigh of relief and became much more amiable when facing the other contestants.

However, while he remained calm, the other person became uneasy.

"Bro, who's that kid?!"

Murphy was so angry that he glared and yelled, "I've never seen that kid before. Is he some nobleman from out of town?"

"Look at his horns," Qi Yan reminded him.

Murphy paused for a moment, then realized what was happening, and his temper immediately died down.

"So it was Count Utica. We can't afford to offend him. It's alright now."

Qi Yan smiled, took Murphy back to the Sunset Hall, and chased after the two men in black and white walking side by side ahead.

The two people in front of them had just finished introducing themselves when they heard footsteps and turned around at the same time.

A look of surprise immediately appeared on Bai Cha's face:

"So you're here. I was almost kicked out just now, but luckily this Mr. Black Key helped me out."

"You are Mr. Qi Yan?!"

Count Utica, who was using the alias Black Key, looked slightly surprised when he saw Qi Yan.

He never expected that he would meet the musical genius he had only seen on a flyer last night.

Chapter 292 Inside Story

"you know me?"

Qi Yan asked deliberately.
