Not long ago, Qi Yan pulled them aside the bushes outside the manor, and the horrific scene inside completely extinguished their last hope.

This madman is truly determined to challenge the Elector to the bitter end.

They have a slim chance of surviving if they listen to Qi Yan now, but if they disobey, they will die on the spot!

"Woof woof woof woof!"

The gentleman, Mr. Hu, had tears in his eyes as he roared, spittle flying everywhere.

The more arrogant they were last night, the more they regret it now.

Qi Yan walked to their side, patted their heads with satisfaction, and smiled:

"Gentlemen, to be honest, what I'm really good at isn't fighting, but bullying people with force. Don't you agree?"

Faced with Qi Yan's question about death, the gentleman Hu and his companion almost burst into tears.

The gentleman with the mustache shook his head desperately, his mouth full of grime.

"No, it's all our fault, it's both of us..."

Before the gentleman could finish his nonsense, he was slapped by Qi Yan.

"Dogs can't talk," Qi Yan said with a smile.

Gentleman Hu completely lost his composure, lying on the ground shaking his head and barking like a dog.

Passersby who witnessed the scene felt a chill run down their spines.

Qi Yan's actions were domineering and somewhat insane, showing no regard for the world's opinions. He was like a demon who had slipped out of hell, without any shackles, freely venting his emotions.

That's exactly what happened.

Qi Yan is no longer accompanied by Qi Lin and Kal'tsit; the last bit of restraint has been removed from him.

Passersby quickly put away their devices, lowered their heads, and fled the scene.

They didn't even dare to look any further, fearing that Qi Yan might suddenly turn his attention to them.

Seeing that everyone was fleeing, Qi Yan shrugged and looked up through the layers of buildings at the towering tower in the distance.

He grinned broadly and led the gentleman and his companion away.

A soft cough suddenly came from the side of the street.

Qi Yan turned his head to look, his eyebrows slightly raised:

"Gargamel? What are you doing here?"

“I’ve come to find you.” Gertrude glanced at the gentleman and his companion, her heart trembling slightly.

Qi Yan stopped walking and gestured for Gertrude to continue.

Gertrude walked up to Qi Yan, trying hard not to look at the gentleman and Hu, and whispered:

“I am 80% certain that an Elector will personally come to Viseheim, and the power I control behind the scenes is none other than the Elector’s power!”

Qi Yan opened his mouth and craned his neck to examine the fluffy tail behind Gertrude.

Then, seemingly still not satisfied, he raised his hand to grab Gertrude's ear.

Gertrude quickly turned her head away, puzzled, and asked:

"what are you up to?"

"Let me see if you're an imposter, a real Liberi!"

Qi Yan said with a pained expression, "In the past, when the Emperor Elect was hiding in the shadows, he had his subordinates control you. It was fine that you didn't have the means to investigate."

Now that I've lured the elector out, what are you still talking about with an 80% chance of success? Are you stupid?

Qi Yan's tone startled Gertrude: "You already knew?"

"Use your brain, will you?" Qi Yan sighed. "A bunch of remnants of the old era, clinging to life, are still causing all sorts of trouble on this land, yet they haven't been purged by the Twin Empresses."

Even you and many other nobles are being threatened by the remnants of the Witch King's faction. There must be a higher power behind this!

Do you even understand the art of weighing options? I suggest you study more of the history of the Yan Kingdom; these are just petty tricks used to select emperors and marquises.

Gertrude's expression shifted between light and shadow, and the doubts that had been building up in her heart for many years were swept away by Qi Yan at this moment.

But she couldn't be happy.

"What are you planning to do now?" Gertrude asked. "Judging from your direction, are you going to rush straight into the tower to find the Elector?"

"Any questions?"

Qi Yan said confidently, "If I kill the other party, no one will send their dogs to bark at me from time to time, and I can continue to participate in The Voice of Letania in a happy mood."

Gertrude: "..."

Even at a time like this, she never expected that Qi Yan was thinking about a lousy TV show!

“Calm down,” Gertrude said, her head throbbing. “That tower isn’t just a building where the Leitanian army is stationed; it’s a Leitanian defense-grade weapons facility.”

Normally, without the authority, one cannot mobilize it, but now that the Elector is inside, he can launch an attack on you from the towers at any time. The fall of the Witch King was largely due to those towers.

Qi Yan responded with a faint "yes".

Gertrude was somewhat exasperated by Qi Yan's attitude, and as if possessed, she changed her words:

"If you confront the Elector head-on now, Letania will inevitably fall into turmoil afterward, and your 'The Voice of Letania' will be unable to continue!"

Qi Yan's expression changed drastically.

He was careless; he completely forgot about something so important!

For a moment, Qi Yan looked at the tower with a hint of lingering fear.

Gertrude watched Qi Yan's sudden change in attitude and felt like she had a lot to say, but it was all stuck in her throat. She couldn't say anything and rolled her eyes in exasperation.

Qi Yan warmly leaned over and patted her on the back, asking curiously:

"Logically, you should be the one most looking forward to us fighting, preferably to the point of mutual destruction, turning Viseheim and even Letania into scorched earth."

Why are you suddenly turning around and trying to stop us?

Gertrude dodged Qi Yan's claws, her expression gradually returning to calm.

However, beneath her calm face, some terrifying emotion seemed to be brewing.

"Because I have finally found the real person behind all these years of oppression, and I want to take revenge and drag them into hell as much as possible!"

Gertrude clenched her fists at her sides, her eyes fixed firmly on Qi Yan.

Those eyes were filled with a furious rage called hatred.

A slight upturn at the corners of her lips revealed a somewhat manic smile:

"You want to get rid of the Elector, and so do I. I can help you maximize your chances of winning, and I want nothing else but for him to die before my eyes!"

Qi Yan tilted his head.

He didn't quite understand how to improve a 100% win rate.

However, as Gertrude said, now that the Elector has been killed, his show is over.

"Sure, good luck! I really believe in you!"

Qi Yan grinned and said, "By the way, could you help me see if the Twin Queens have come to Viseheim?"

Chapter 303 The Maid Must Know Magic

Two dogs died.

Because they heard topics they shouldn't have heard.

Gertrude dragged them back with the rope, like a dead dog, to report back.

As for Qi Yan's request to find out the whereabouts of the Gemini Queens before they parted, Gertrude didn't take it to heart at all.

Even if she searched until she was bald, she would never be able to find the whereabouts of such an important person.

In the tower's main hall, the bodies of the two gentlemen, Hu and his companion, were carelessly left on the floor.

The two men had contorted faces, as if they had witnessed something terrifying before they died. Their open mouths were stiff and twisted, as if they wanted to suddenly rise from the dead and tell their story.

The atmosphere in the hall was somewhat somber.

After a moment, the deep voice began to ask:

"Qi Yan agreed?"

The other party completely ignored the two corpses in front of them, only caring about Qi Yan's attitude.

“He agreed to relinquish the Earthly Voice, but made one request,” Gertrude replied, bowing her head. “He wants to take two of the Witch King’s bloodlines with him, but he has agreed to extract the Earthly Voice. All we need to do is prepare the containers ourselves.”

"The Witch King only has these two bloodlines left behind, where can we find other vessels?"

The muffled voice carried a hint of anger, clearly indicating that he was not entirely satisfied with the outcome.

Gertrude kept her head down and didn't rush to say anything.

And just as she had expected, the dull voice quickly shifted the blame onto her:

"Since you were the one who came up with this idea, you're in charge of finding a solution."

Gertrude struggled to suppress the urge to smile and said respectfully:

“I do have a method, but since living containers cannot be found, Viseheim has an inanimate object that can serve as a container.”

The Sunset Hall, a building constructed during that person's lifetime, possesses a special ability due to its building materials and structure, allowing it to resonate with the sounds of the mortal world. I am confident that after renovation, it can serve as a vessel for these sounds.

Having received permission, Gertrude lowered her head and slowly backed away, preparing to leave.

But the next second, a muffled sound rang out again:

"As the lord of Viseheim, your control over your territory is so poor. Haven't you noticed that a remnant of the Witch King's faction is active here?"

"I'm giving you a chance; you can command the tower sorcerers to wipe them out."

A cold glint flashed in Gertrude's eyes.

She understood that these seemingly reprimanding words were actually a reward.

The reward was the lives of the remnants of the Witch King's faction who had previously oppressed her.

Gertrude sneered inwardly, but put on a show of trepidation mixed with a hint of gratitude, nodding repeatedly in agreement.

When Qi Yan returned to Murphy's estate, he was surprised to find that the villa gate was wide open.

"What's going on? Another thief?"

Qi Yan peeked through the doorway and saw Arturo sitting on the sofa, leisurely enjoying a steaming cup of coffee.

Upon seeing Qi Yan return, Arturo explained:

"I didn't have the key, so I had to pry open the lock to get in."

Qi Yan glanced down at the deformed door lock, showing no remorse whatsoever.

It's definitely not his house!

He walked over to the sofa, sat down, and joked with a smile:

"I haven't seen you for several days. I almost forgot about you and thought you had secretly run away."

"That would require an opportunity," Arturo joked to himself. "Not to mention that you haven't promised me freedom yet, the Empress's Voice just left, and the Elector's men came knocking on my door the next second. How could a weak woman like me escape?"

"I don't believe you for a second, you pretty slut, you're so wicked!"

Qi Yan leaned back on the sofa, crossed his legs, and laughed:

"Stop playing all those roundabout games, just say what you want to do."

Arturo put down his coffee cup and said sincerely:

"Between you and the Elector, I ultimately choose to stand by your side. I've already offended a lackey sent by the Elector, and there's no going back there."

“Sigh!” Qi Yan nodded knowingly, then said with equal sincerity, “But I have already made peace with the Elector.”

Arturo's elegant expression froze instantly.

Her beautiful eyes widened slightly as she looked at Qi Yan in disbelief, but his handsome face was full of sincerity, not like he was joking with her.

“I don’t believe it. Someone like you, once you’ve made up your mind, would never give up so easily,” Arturo said in his death throes.
