"Have the town's military police search the entire city for two people, a man and a woman. The man's distinguishing feature is Rupert, who has white hair, and the woman's distinguishing feature is Sakta, who has a black halo."
Once their whereabouts are discovered, you must not act without authorization, nor harbor any hostility towards them. Report to me immediately.
The White Queen had assumed that this would not be a difficult task for Severin.
But as she relayed her instructions, Severin did not immediately agree; instead, he looked troubled.
"What, as the voice of the Queen, am I not even allowed to call upon the military police within your town?" the White Queen asked in bewilderment.
Severin quickly explained, "I just received orders from my superiors a few days ago. The lord of a nearby mobile city-state is about to hold a banquet, and we need to mobilize the gendarmes of Wolumond to maintain order and security."
The White Queen's brows furrowed into a deep frown beneath her mask.
A surge of anger welled up inside her.
"Who gave those people the right?" The White Queen stood up and walked to Severin, her pale purple eyes seemingly flickering with flames. "The gendarmes of Wolumonde, they belong to Wolumonde. Are they treating the gendarmes of the towns within their own territory as their private guards?"
"If the military police are transferred this time, and Wolumonde suffers a natural disaster, what losses will that cause? As the commander of the military police, don't you understand?"
Severin's breath hitched as he suddenly felt an overwhelming aura of grandeur emanating from the female captain before him, whose physique was not particularly imposing.
"Cough cough... cough, Captain Bai, please calm down."
Severin was so agitated by the White Queen's oppressive aura that he couldn't stop coughing.
The town representative standing next to him quickly chimed in, explaining:
"We were unaware of the impending natural disaster in Wolumond. Upon returning, we promise to immediately communicate with our superiors to explain the situation."
The White Queen took a soft breath, withdrew her oppressive aura, turned around, and sat back down in her chair.
"Go downstairs and arrange another place for me to stay."
Severin and his companion quickly bowed and retreated.
Upon leaving the council chamber, Severin immediately lit a cigarette for himself.
The town representative watched him puffing away on his cigarette and said with a headache:
"Your health is getting worse and worse, you should quit smoking as soon as possible."
“What we’re facing now is far more important than me quitting smoking,” Severin said with a wry smile. “That Captain White is really strong; his mere presence almost suffocated me.”
However, she must be someone who works for a very important person and rarely goes out, otherwise she wouldn't have made such a ridiculous statement.
The town representative quickly looked around and warned in a low voice:
"Keep your voice down, or someone will hear you."
But you're right, only those high-ranking figures who are out of touch with the common people would think that rules are everything.
"How dare we utter a single word of dissent when faced with the nobles of those mobile city-states?"
At this point, both of them looked rather grim.
They were caught in the middle, facing a dilemma.
"Perhaps we should follow Captain Bai's instructions. I have a feeling that her status is subtly above those nobles," the town representative suggested tentatively.
“But once she finds those two people, she will eventually leave Wolumond, while the nobles will always remain.”
Severin pointed out the crux of the problem directly.
The town representative clicked his tongue and scratched his head, clearly feeling a headache coming on.
"So you mean to listen to those nobles?"
Severin exhaled a puff of smoke, his face becoming somewhat blurred in the smoke, his gaze piercing through the smoke to look at the distant horizon.
As the smoke cleared, Severin extinguished his cigarette, his tone resolute.
"Don't rush into action. I'll go find Biederman. He's the messenger of natural disasters. Whether or not to change the flight path depends on his advice."
If a natural disaster is truly imminent, the military police cannot leave, absolutely not!
“You know what doing this means.” The town representative’s expression was extremely solemn.
"Of course I know, but I have to do it, and I'm prepared to face all the consequences."
Severin's tone wasn't particularly tough; rather, it sounded like he was joking about himself.
Based on W's message on the terminal, Logos found an ordinary house in front of it.
As soon as he approached the door, he heard W's laughter coming from inside:
“Anto, if you ask me, you should have taken me with you when you went to the Twelve Sounds Street for free medical consultations.”
"What are you going to do with me?" a woman's voice retorted from inside the room. "So you can inject some ammunition into those patients' heads?"
"Don't underestimate the power of ammunition. When it really comes down to it, this stuff is more effective than any painkiller in helping patients control their pain."
W smiled and explained the special uses of ammunition to the woman.
Logos is giving me a real headache.
Logos remembered the woman's voice; she was also a member of Rhodes Island, named Anto, a young woman from the medical department, and the person in charge of the Wolumonde area for Rhodes Island.
In Logos's memory, this little girl named Anto, although a bit lively, was always very well-behaved in front of him.
He pushed open the door, trying to interrupt W's attempt to corrupt Rhodes Island's gentle and lovely medical operator.
But as the door opened, the corner of his eye twitched beneath the Logos mask.
He clearly saw Anto holding a notebook, carefully recording the special uses of ammunition that W was describing.
"Hey, are you a pervert?" W yelled as soon as he saw Logos. "You barged into our room without even knocking. What if we were changing clothes?"
Logos retorted without hesitation:
"If I accidentally see your body, I will immediately pull out my bone pen and gouge out my own eyes."
W's eyes lit up, and she pretended to lift her skirt.
Startled, Anto quickly reached out and pressed down on W's skirt, only to find his hand touching something hard.
She instinctively grabbed the thing and pulled, immediately hearing W's low cry and the sound of the Originium bomb's safety ring falling off.
Anto stared in horror at the metal ring hooked on his fingertip:
Chapter 332 Did you guys get Yura?
W reacted quickly; while Anto was still stunned and bewildered, she had already lifted Anto up like a chick and shielded him behind her.
While protecting Anto, W shook the Originium Bomb off his body and kicked the Logos at the door.
The whole set of movements was so smooth and graceful that Anto's eyes almost sparkled with excitement.
Only Logos, standing at the door, looked at the incoming Originium bomb with a somewhat frightening aura.
Obscure and difficult-to-understand runes leaped from Logos' fingertips, wrapping the Originium Bomb layer by layer, forming a cage.
With a muffled thud, all the crisis vanished beneath Logos' fingertips.
“As a comrade, your actions should be prosecuted. I will personally record your name in the report of this operation and hand it over to Ascalon for processing.”
As Logos spoke, he actually pulled out a small notebook and started taking notes.
W's eyes widened immediately, and she exclaimed in surprise:
"Hey, hey, hey, I was just joking. It's not like you're going to kill me!"
"And it was Anto who detonated the bomb, what does it have to do with me?"
“With your skills, you have countless opportunities to stop this accident.” Logos put down his notebook, stopped joking, and said seriously, “Where is Qi Yan now? The powerful enemy he has provoked has arrived in Wolumond.”
I thought that during the time I had bought you, you had found Qi Yan and taken him away from this place of trouble.
Seeing that the conversation was getting serious, W regained some composure, but her little face still looked sullen.
"The dog didn't appear in Wolumond, and the mudstone he was looking for didn't appear either. I now seriously doubt that the hooded man's speculation was wrong."
Perhaps that dog has already betrayed us. Let's go hunt him down. We should probably call Ascalon along; isn't she known for her zero tolerance for traitors?
"Life is precious, and there is still much beauty on this land waiting for people to witness. But I will not stop those who destroy themselves; I will simply try my best to avoid them."
Logos gracefully removed his mask, walked inside, and sat down by himself.
W tilted his head, frowned, and pondered deeply, his brain visibly overloaded.
Seeing this, Anto quickly helped translate:
"Mr. Logos said, 'If you want to die, go ahead and do it yourself. Don't drag others down with you.'"
After saying that, Anto obediently ran to Logos and poured him a cup of tea.
Logos nodded his thanks, finally feeling that the well-behaved and adorable medical department girl he remembered had returned.
However, Anto's transition between being obedient and unruly was so natural that Logos suddenly felt a little self-doubt.
Could it be that I misjudged him before?
Could this girl be a restless person by nature?
He couldn't help but glance at Anto a few more times. The latter noticed his gaze, his face immediately turned red, and he stood there awkwardly fidgeting with his fingers.
Anto cried out in surprise as his buttocks were suddenly attacked.
W chuckled and withdrew his mischievous hand, pushing Anto aside as he teased:
"Little girl, stop being so lustful. This guy's mind is full of his career and his ACE brothers. He doesn't leave room for women."
"I'm not...I didn't..."
Anto's face was flushed with nervousness; he waved his hands repeatedly and then fled the scene.
Logos looked at W with a half-smile, suddenly realizing that this seemingly crazy woman was far more thoughtful than he had imagined.
Unfortunately, his opinion of W had just begun to improve when it plummeted the moment W opened his mouth.
"Don't try to seduce me." W rolled her eyes and said, "Your face is less pleasing to the eye than that dog's. If you smile at me again, I'm afraid I'll have nightmares tonight."
Logos: "..."
He remembered this grudge.
He still remembers the grudge from when I threw the Originium Bomb at him!
"Ahem, enough of the small talk."
Logos took out his notebook again, wrote a couple of lines, and then put it away. He said seriously, "I don't think the doctor's prediction is wrong. Qi Yan didn't come because he was delayed on the way."
“What could have happened to him? Did he get lost?” W sneered.
Logos completely ignored her complaints and continued:
"Also, you just mentioned Mudrock. Tell me about his characteristics. I think he will be an important figure in persuading Qi Yan to return to Rhodes Island."
W shrugged and said, "Mudrock's features are very obvious. He always wears a suit of armor, has a burly build, likes to speak in riddles that others can't understand, just like you, and is always accompanied by a squad of Sarkaz mercenaries."
Oh right, and that giant hammer he always carries; it can smash an enemy's head off in one go, it's incredibly brutal.
"He is a dangerous person."
Logos commented.
He lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then drafted a plan.
"Continue to investigate the whereabouts of Qi Yan and Ni Yan in the city. Be careful of the military police. The white-haired one of the twin queens will personally intervene. We must find Qi Yan before they do."
I will go out of town to search for Qi Yan and Ni Yan, keep the terminal constantly online, and contact them immediately if any problems arise.
Victoria, on a hillside outside Little Hillshire.
ACE sat on the soft grass on the hillside, feeling the gentle breeze blowing from the distant mountains, and closed his eyes contentedly.
"You rascal, you've gone out of town to relax again."
An older Sakota woman walked up the hillside and joked with ACE.
ACE chuckled twice, patted the empty space beside him, and called out:
“Outcast, there’s no need to be so tense. Qi Yan said that some events will only break out here at the end of the year, and it’s only the end of summer now.”
"But the situation has begun to show signs of change."
Outcast walked over to ACE, but didn't sit down, his tone tinged with worry:
