"Have Qi Yan and Qi Lin already left?" Shuangxing asked.
"Yes, I didn't expect you to not see Qi Lin off." Warfarin was a little curious about this.
Froststar raised the corners of her mouth slightly: "Did Qi Lin say anything to you before she left?"
"……No."
“I guessed that, so I didn’t go.” Froststar’s smile vanished again. “This girl is going crazy. Right now, all she cares about is her bastard brother. If I went, I would just be left out.”
"Furthermore, I have more important matters to discuss with Talulah."
"You've realized something too?"
Warfarin was not surprised by this.
Frostnova is the daughter of Patriot and has also experienced war. Talulah goes without saying. Without such intelligence, it would be impossible to establish an organization like Reunion.
"The Reunion Movement has some fighting capabilities, but it is not capable of facing a real war."
Talulah revealed her plan: "I hope that during this time, Frostnova and Patriot can train the Reunion warriors together."
“And then there are the Sarkaz led by Amon,” Frostnova added.
"These actions are best avoided by keeping them away from ordinary members of the nursing home to avoid causing unnecessary panic."
Warfarin offered her suggestions from the side.
The three were discussing something when Anmon, whom they had just mentioned, happened to pass by.
Upon seeing the three people, Anmon turned around and came to them.
“Dr. Warfarin, I happen to have something to discuss with you.” Amon got straight to the point. “The hostage that Rhodes Island exchanged with the Sarkaz at the branch hospital, Mr. Pegasus named Manna, wants your discharge permission.”
He stated that his injuries were no longer serious and that he wished to leave the nursing home.
"At a time like this?" Warfarin asked, somewhat reluctantly.
Marna can withstand a sword strike from Theresis; such a powerful individual is exactly the top-tier combat force the nursing home currently needs.
After hesitating for a moment, Warfarin sighed and gave up her plan to force Marna to stay.
Strictly speaking, the other party is not a member of Rhodes Island. They went to Victoria simply because of Qi Yan. Now that they want to leave, no one can say anything.
"You explain the situation to Amon first, I'll go find Marna."
Warfarin gave her instructions, turned and left the hall, walking up the stairs to Marna's ward.
As Warfarin pushed open the door to the ward, she saw Marna familiarizing herself with her newly acquired longsword with her bandaged hand.
"I heard you're leaving." Warfarin stepped forward.
Marna sheathed his sword and nodded, saying:
"My injuries have healed, and I have other things to do now."
Warfarin said nothing, but took out a form from her bag and wrote out discharge permission for Marna.
But as she handed the permit to Marner, Warfarin couldn't help but ask:
Can you share your plans?
“This isn’t something that needs to be kept secret,” Marner said calmly. “The nursing home is stable, but it can’t help everyone.”
Victoria is in turmoil, and there are many more people who need my help. I hope to bring them together, which is the only thing I can do as a ranger.
If possible, I would like to bring them back to the nursing home.
Warfarin gave Marner a deep look, said nothing more, and silently stepped aside to make way for Marner.
Marner walked towards the door, but when he reached it, he suddenly stopped and turned to look at Warfarin:
"Although I haven't tried to make any contact with the outside world, based on my understanding of my niece, Margaret must be on her way right now."
She will face all difficulties alongside Rhodes Island and strive to fulfill the duties of a knight.
Warfarin frowned slightly: "I'm not surprised she's willing to come, but what does it mean for a knight to do something?"
"In her words, a knight is a sublime being who illuminates the entire earth."
Marna was absolutely confident in her prediction: "She will convince Silver Spear Pegasus and the Grand Knight."
"Silver Spear Pegasus is coming to Victoria too?!"
Marner's answer was like a bucket of cold water poured over Warfarin's head.
Before Warfarin could lose heart, Marner spoke again:
"Silver Spear Pegasus is destined to be unable to participate due to their identity as Kazimierz, but they will not turn a blind eye to the suffering of this land. They will use their own methods to prevent the suffering from escalating."
Warfarin was taken aback and suddenly turned to look north.
"Ursus will no longer have the energy to participate in this war."
After saying this, Marna walked out of the room without looking back.
Victoria, Duke of Godottin territory, Rhodes Island main ship.
"Outcast, you are not allowed to go to Lontinim!"
A logistics officer clung to Outcast's sleeve, refusing to let go no matter what.
Outcast wore a wry smile, and was also somewhat exasperated:
"Everyone else can go, so why can't I?"
"You said you were planning to retire, so why can't you relax?" The logistics officer was also helpless. "Besides, even if the Doctor is going all in, we can't just leave no one in charge of the overall situation on the ship."
"Now that you've all left, what will we do if we get chased by swarms of sandworms next time we're collecting recyclables?"
"In your eyes, is my only purpose to eliminate sandworms?" Outcast almost laughed out of anger.
"Hmm...can you tell us some jokes too?" the logistics officer analyzed seriously.
Upon hearing this, Outcast was so angry he wanted to hit someone with the butt of his gun.
"Alright, stop arguing."
ACE walked over from the side and advised, "This ship really can't leave no one behind, especially since there are already enough people going to Londinium."
"You guys... sigh!"
Seeing that ACE had said this, Outcast could only let out a resentful sigh and accept the fact that he had been abandoned.
"It's my fault."
ACE chuckled and said, "When we get back, I'll cover your alcohol expenses for a whole month."
"Forget about that. I only have one request." Outcast smiled as well. "Bring Xiao Qiyan back to me. I miss him a bit."
"Don't worry, he won't be able to run around outside this time. I'll have Rosemary keep a close eye on him."
As the two were discussing their plan to capture Qi Yan, two figures, one tall and one short, walked briskly from the end of the corridor.
Murphy, looking ready to go, said to the two of them, "I'm going back to Letania."
"What are you..."
"Meet with Her Majesty the Queen and try to persuade them to stop the escalation of the war."
Upon hearing this, ACE nodded solemnly to Murphy and said softly, "I'm counting on you."
Then he looked at the Rat King, who was walking towards Murphy at the same time.
"I also wish to return to Yan Kingdom."
Compared to Murphy, the Rat King's explanation was somewhat ambiguous: "Going to see some old friends and maintain old relationships."
“As a guest of Rhodes Island, you are naturally free to do whatever you wish at any time,” ACE replied with a smile.
The group didn't chat much; after exchanging information, they turned and went their separate ways.
Just as ACE was about to head to the deck to meet up with the other operators heading to Londinium, a white-haired woman dressed in blue walked up to him.
Skadi held her exaggeratedly large sword in one hand, her red eyes calm and undisturbed.
"The doctor is talking about everything, right?"
Chapter 751 The Victorians and the Sarkaz
The sky remained overcast, its gray hue resembling the most vivid, realistic painting in the minds of the residents of Brentwood.
A young woman with short, light brown hair stood in front of her greenhouse, silently gazing up at the eternal sky. Her brown eyes were somewhat unfocused, and her thoughts seemed to drift away.
Approaching footsteps drew the girl's attention back to reality.
"Gardener, what are you doing here?"
Sarkaz, dressed in the uniform of the Royal Court Army, walked up to the girl, Felin, and looked down at the petite girl in front of him.
The girl, Felin, glanced at the Sarkaz in front of her.
She couldn't see the other person's face hidden under the mask, nor did she need to.
What else could these Sarkaz be like?
But it's just another hideous and terrifying face.
"Monitoring weather changes is crucial for cultivating flowers in the greenhouse," explained the young woman, Feilin, with a calmness bordering on numbness. "This is the task you assigned me, isn't it?"
Sarkaz gave a curt reply, which was taken as acceptance of the explanation.
He stepped past the girl named Film, pushed open the greenhouse door, and entered the world of flowers.
Miss Felin's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned around and followed.
A warm atmosphere wafted over them, enveloping them in the fragrance of flowers. The tightly packed flowers inside the greenhouse seemed to brighten the light, making it feel like a completely different world from the town outside, which was shrouded in gray and white.
Sarkaz wandered aimlessly through the greenhouse, with the girl Felin following closely behind him.
"Are you nervous?" Sarkaz asked.
“…Be careful not to damage them. The time you gave me isn’t enough for me to rebuild these flowers,” Miss Felin explained.
Sarkaz remained noncommittal, stopping in front of a field of roses.
He looked down and carefully examined the bright flowers, while the girl, Felin, secretly stared at a closed cabinet not far from him.
Time seemed to slow down at this moment, and the greenhouse was eerily quiet.
Sarkaz suddenly reached out and gently probed the soil beneath the rose with his fingers.
"What...are you doing?" the girl asked hesitantly.
"This soil needs to be loosened."
Sarkaz's answer surprised Philine.
She didn't understand why a Sarkaz would care about these things, and she couldn't understand why a Sarkaz would know about flower cultivation.
Kosakaz's surprising words were not yet finished.
“Could you pack me some flowers?” Sarkaz pulled a Victoria coin from his pocket. “Not one of the ones shipped back to Londinium, but one sold to me personally. I’d like a bouquet of roses.”
"What do you need these flowers for?" Miss Felin frowned.
"...Can't I like flowers?"
Sarkaz's question left Philine speechless.
This is clearly a very ordinary answer. As the owner of this greenhouse, she has had countless people buy flowers from her. Some are preparing gifts for someone they cherish, while others simply buy them out of personal preference.
But now, she was facing a Sarkaz.
While the girl, Felin, was still in shock, Sarkaz had already placed the coins next to the flowerpot.
He seemed unsurprised by this reaction and continued speaking to himself:
"Her Highness has arrived in Brentwood. She has not given any instructions, but her presence is enough to prove many things."
The situation in Sarkaz is dire; the most difficult, and perhaps final, war is about to begin.
The girl's thoughts, which had just drifted away, were pulled back again. She subconsciously glanced at the cabinet not far away, and then quickly controlled herself to look away.
After a moment's hesitation, Miss Felin gritted her teeth and said:
“Our town has never resisted the Sarkaz, and all the buildings you ordered to be constructed have been completed on time.”
