Seiji Fujiwara didn't speak, he just listened quietly.
Yamada Ryo turned to look at him, her smile stiff: "I'm sorry to have made you see me in such an embarrassing state. I know you've already helped me a lot... with my debts, living expenses, and even allowed me to continue making music. I shouldn't be greedy anymore."
“Who said you were greedy?” Seiji Fujiwara suddenly spoke up.
Yamada Ryo was stunned.
"You want what's rightfully yours back? That's greed?" He stood up, looking down at her. "The house, the hospital—those were originally left to you by your parents. Someone else took them from you. Aren't you angry?"
“What’s the use of getting angry…” Yamada Ryo smiled bitterly, knowing she had no way to get it back.
“But I have it.”
Yamada Ryo's eyes widened.
“You’ve come with me, how could I possibly make you sad?” Fujiwara Seiji reached out and patted Yamada Ryo’s head with a smile.
The morning light shone on Seiji Fujiwara, giving him a pale golden glow and making his already handsome face even more ethereal and captivating.
Yamada Ryo stared blankly at him.
My heart skipped a beat.
"What do you want to do?" Yamada Ryo asked in a low voice.
“It’s simple.” Seiji Fujiwara released his grip and said casually, “I’m going to buy that hospital.”
Yamada Ryo's pupils contracted slightly.
"Buy...buy it?"
“Yes.” Seiji Fujiwara’s tone was as calm as if he were commenting on the weather. “Buy the hospital.”
Yamada Ryo opened his mouth, but no sound came out.
Her mind went blank for a moment.
“But…that medical group…” she said with difficulty, “they have a very deep network of connections…and the market value of that hospital…is at least…”
"Around 10 billion yen, I guess." Seiji Fujiwara interrupted her, smiled, and said, "I know."
Yamada Ryo was stunned: "You...how could you..."
“I checked last night.” Seiji Fujiwara walked back to her side, squatted down in front of her, and looked her in the eye. “Toto Medical Group, established for fifteen years, with seven branches and total assets of 40 billion yen. Your parents’ hospital was the seventh one they forcibly acquired last year.”
"
He paused.
"The acquisition price was 800 million yen. But the actual market value should be around 1.2 billion yen. They lowered the price."
Yamada Ryo stared blankly at him.
She never expected that Seiji Fujiwara would investigate so thoroughly for her sake.
What shocked her even more was the nonchalant tone with which he spoke, as if 10 billion yen was nothing more than a trivial number to him.
Yamada Ryo's eyes gradually reddened.
She bit her lip, desperately suppressing the emotions welling up inside her.
But in the end, he couldn't resist.
"Seiji..."
She stood up, walked to him, and buried her face in his chest.
"Thank you……"
The voice had a strong nasal tone.
Seiji Fujiwara didn't say anything, he just patted her back gently.
He could feel the slight trembling of the girl in his arms, and he could feel that her emotions, which had been suppressed for too long, had finally found an outlet.
This girl is so strong.
Parents passed away, the family fortunes declined, and debts piled up...
She silently bore it all alone.
I never show weakness to anyone, and I never ask anyone for help.
Until I met him.
A moment later, Yamada Ryo raised her head, tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes, but her gaze had returned to its usual calm.
“That medical group is not easy to deal with,” she said seriously. “Their chairman, Kenichi Tojo, is a very shrewd businessman. Moreover, he has connections with many people in the political and business circles… I heard that he even has connections in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare…”
She paused, her tone becoming even more serious.
"More importantly, several of the shareholders behind Dongdu Medical are big figures in the financial world. They won't give up easily."
“I know,” Seiji Fujiwara smiled. “That’s why I’m going to use legitimate business methods.”
Business tactics? Yamada Ryo looked at him with suspicion.
“Yes.” Seiji Fujiwara walked back to the sofa, picked up his laptop, and said, “Any company that grows big will inevitably have loopholes. Finances, taxes, compliance… if you investigate carefully, you can always find something to hold against them.”
He paused.
"Moreover, a tall tree catches the wind, and there are always some enemies who hope to see it fall."
Yamada Ryo stared at him blankly.
The girl never imagined that one day someone would go to such lengths for her.
She paused for a moment, then asked a question she had always wanted to ask.
"Why are you so nice to me?"
"Because you are my woman." Seiji Fujiwara smiled; the reason was that simple.
“But…” Yamada Ryo bit her lip, “Am I…am I good enough for you?”
Seiji Fujiwara paused for a moment, then burst out laughing.
He paused.
“You made it very clear from the beginning—you sold yourself to me; it was a transaction. You didn’t pretend, you didn’t act, and you didn’t lie to me about liking me or loving me or any of that nonsense.”
He reached out and gently stroked her cheek.
"This frankness, this sincerity... makes me very happy."
Yamada Ryo's eyes reddened once again.
She opened her mouth, but no sound came out.
She rushed straight into Seiji Fujiwara's arms and hugged him tightly.
Seiji Fujiwara smiled and gently patted her back.
The two hugged each other for a long time.
Finally, Yamada Ryo let go, wiped away her tears, and regained her composure.
After a long while, Yamada Ryo finally calmed down and was persuaded by Fujiwara Seiji to go and rest.
……
the other side.
Seiji Fujiwara returned to the living room, picked up his phone, and dialed a number.
"Hello, this is Black Rock Law Firm."
“I’ll contact lawyer Yoshitaka Kuroiwa,” Seiji Fujiwara said.
May I ask who you are?
"Fujiwara Seiji".
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone.
Then, his tone immediately became respectful.
"Fujiwara-sensei! Please wait a moment, I'll transfer you to President Kuroiwa right away!"
A moment later, a steady male voice came.
"Fujiwara-sensei, it's been a long time."
“Attorney Kuroiwa, it’s been a long time indeed,” Fujiwara Seiji smiled. “I’d like to ask you for a favor.”
"Please say."
“Help me investigate a company.” Seiji Fujiwara’s tone became serious. “Toto Medical Group. I need all their financial statements, tax records, compliance audit reports… in short, the more detailed the better.”
On the other end of the phone, Yoshitaka Kuroiwa remained silent for a moment.
"Professor Fujiwara...excuse my bluntness, but the network of relationships behind Toto Medical is very complex. If you're going to take action against them..."
“I know,” Fujiwara Seiji interrupted him. “That’s why I came to you. Help me see if there’s any chance.”
Yoshitaka Kuroiwa was silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled: "Understood. Kuroiwa Law Firm will fully cooperate with 2.6."
"very good."
Seiji Fujiwara paused for a moment, then added, "Also, help me contact the best business investigation firm in Japan. I need them to provide me with a complete investigation report within a week."
“No problem,” Yoshitaka Kuroiwa replied. “Professor Fujiwara, what is your budget for this trip…”
“No upper limit,” Seiji Fujiwara said calmly. “I want the best team, the fastest speed, and the most detailed reports. Money is not an issue.”
Yoshitaka Kuroiwa gasped.
"Understood. I'll arrange it immediately."
Seiji Fujiwara paused for a moment, then said, "By the way, Attorney Kuroiwa, is your firm's litigation team available lately?"
"You mean..."
"Get ready." Seiji Fujiwara's tone turned cold. "Once the investigation report is released, I'm going to launch a full-scale lawsuit against Toto Medical."
Yoshitaka Kuroiwa fell silent again.
Then, a hint of excitement crept into his voice.
“I’ve heard of that medical group. They’ve been doing a lot of dirty work in recent years, and I’ve heard their foundation is very unstable… Mr. Fujiwara, Kuroiwa Law Firm, be ready to go anytime!”
"Then I wish us a pleasant collaboration." Seiji Fujiwara hung up the phone.
……
……
Five days later.
Tokyo, Marunouchi Financial District, Imperial Tokyo Hotel.
Seiji Fujiwara sat in the living room of the presidential suite, with three thick documents on the coffee table in front of him.
Sitting opposite him were Ken Sakaguchi from the Kuroiwa Law Firm and Takashi Shibata, the chief investigator of Akasaka, a top Japanese business investigation firm.
"Professor Fujiwara, this is all the information we've gathered in the past five days." Shibata Takashi adjusted his glasses and pushed a three-hundred-page investigation report in front of Fujiwara Seiji. "The Toto Medical Group appears to be compliant and legal on the surface, but in reality..."
"
He paused, a sneer curling at the corner of his mouth.
"Hehe, full of loopholes."

I had a serious illness, sorry, but I'm back now.
Chapter 86 Many people hope that Dongdu Medical will collapse (2/2)
Seiji Fujiwara opened the report, his eyes scanning the densely packed data.
Financial statements, shareholding structure, board of directors list, litigation records over the years...
"Get to the point," Fujiwara Seiji said as he read.
“Okay.” Shibata Takashi opened his laptop and turned the screen toward Fujiwara Seiji. First of all, the actual controlling shareholder of Toto Medical is not Chairman Tojo Kenichi, but an offshore company registered in the Cayman Islands—HealthVentureHoldings.
