"Hahaha, you're absolutely right!" Kato Koichi slammed his hand on the table excitedly, making the cups and plates rattle. "The first thing I'll do when I get the money is to move out of this shabby apartment! I'm going to buy a house in Minato Ward! Then, let's see who dares to look down on me!"

"Hongyi, don't forget what you promised me, the Hermès bag!" Kato Misaki's eyes gleamed with longing for luxury goods. "My neighbor ladies have been looking down on me for a long time! I'm going to let them know that I, Kato Misaki, am now a member of high society!"

As she spoke, a hint of resentment flashed across her face: "That little brat, always so cold and aloof, like everyone owes her something. Humph, once we become her guardians, let's see how I deal with her!"

“Misaki, why bother arguing with a child?” Kato Koichi waved his hand dismissively, but the greed in his eyes was unmistakable. “We are her guardians, so her money is naturally our money. We can manipulate her however we want.”

As Tanaka listened to the two men's disgraceful behavior, a hint of contempt curled at the corner of his mouth, but he hid it well.

Kato Hiroshi laughed loudly and shouted, "Come on, let's drink! Attorney Tanaka, let me toast you again!"

"Hahaha, okay, let's drink!" Lawyer Tanaka also raised his glass.

Ding!

The three of them raised their glasses again, the glasses clinking together with a crisp sound.

To them, it sounded like the pleasant melody of money being deposited into an account.

But they didn't know that the future they were imagining was nothing but a mirage.

……

……

The next day.

Kyoto District Court.

In the corner, a young man in a suit calmly took out his phone, pointed it in a certain direction, and started recording.

at this time.

The trial has not yet officially begun.

But inside the courthouse, things were already in turmoil.

Inside the judge's office, the elderly judge, who had dinner with Saeko Kirishima the previous night, was looking at the case file in his hands with an impatient expression.

"Nonsense!"

He berated the clerk beside him, "How did such a flawed and motiveless guardianship application pass the initial review? The applicant himself has a long history of misconduct; he's treating the law like a joke! Reject it immediately!"

"Yes, yes!" The clerk quickly picked up the case file and stamped it with the "Application Rejected" seal.

In the courthouse corridor, Kato Jiro and Kato Kazuko, having been notified, looked bewildered and incredulous.

"Rejected? How could it be rejected?" Kato Jiro grabbed a passing staff member and asked anxiously.

"I don't know." The staff member impatiently shook off his hand.

"What kind of attitude is this! We are..."

"What are you yelling about! This is a courthouse. If you keep making noise, we'll arrest you for obstructing official business!" another bailiff shouted sternly.

Chapter 127 Xiao Hui, I've Properly Developed Your Inner Charm (2/2)

The two of them immediately deflated, not daring to ask another question.

Meanwhile, lawyer Tanaka, standing nearby, keenly sensed an extremely ominous atmosphere. Things were spiraling out of his control.

However, before the three of them could even communicate and understand what had happened...

Suddenly, a group of uniformed police officers strode from the other end of the corridor and came straight up to them.

The lead officer, with a stern expression, presented a detention warrant.

"Tanaka Ichiro?"

“Yes, it’s me…” Lawyer Tanaka’s heart sank to the bottom in an instant.

"You are suspected of multiple crimes, including forgery, commercial fraud, and instigating perjury. Come with us!" the police officer said, taking out handcuffs.

"Wait a minute! What right do you have to arrest me? I'm a lawyer, I know the law! Where's your evidence?" Attorney Tanaka still wanted to make a last-ditch effort.

"Evidence?" The policeman who arrested him sneered, then recited fluently, like reciting a menu, "In the 'Sato Construction' case three years ago, you received 30 million yen; in the 'Suzuki couple' divorce case a year ago, you colluded with the opposing lawyer... Should I continue, Attorney Tanaka?"

Upon hearing these words, Attorney Tanaka's face turned deathly pale.

He immediately realized that he had offended a big shot.

Otherwise, his true nature wouldn't have been so thoroughly stripped away.

He stopped talking and immediately became incredibly obedient, extending his hands in a submissive manner.

"You're smart." The policeman smiled dismissively, handcuffed him, and took him away.

Meanwhile, Kato Jiro and Kato Kazuko, who were standing to the side, were already dumbfounded by this sudden turn of events.

Before they could react, another group of people arrived in front of them.

Leading the group were several lawyers in expensive suits, followed by another group of police officers.

“Mr. Jiro Kato, Ms. Kazuko Kato,” one of the lawyers said coldly, pulling out documents. “We are lawyers from the Kuroiwa Law Firm. We are now indicting you both on charges of attempted fraud, coercion, and multiple past criminal offenses. This is an arrest warrant. Please cooperate with the police.”

"Misunderstanding! It's all a misunderstanding!"

"We didn't! We didn't do anything!"

The couple screamed in terror, shouting that they were innocent. But the cold handcuffs mercilessly landed on their wrists.

The moment the cold metal touched their skin, the two felt as if all their strength had been drained away. Their legs went weak, and they collapsed to the ground, their faces drained of color, filled only with deep fear.

They were dragged by the police like dead dogs to the police car outside.

This dramatic scene in the courthouse attracted a large crowd, who stopped to watch and discuss it.

Meanwhile, in the corner, the young man who had been filming with his phone stopped filming with satisfaction after capturing the entire scene. He immediately sent the video to his supervisor.

……

Moments later, the video was forwarded to Seiji Fujiwara's computer.

It was eight o'clock in the morning.

Seiji Fujiwara's computer emitted a crisp email notification sound.

He opened the email, clicked on the video, and watched it from beginning to end, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

"The efficiency is good."

After watching the video, Seiji Fujiwara opened LINE and sent a message to the head of the Kuroiwa Law Firm.

[Professor Fujiwara's matter is our firm's highest priority!]

The other party replied almost instantly, followed by a long string of extremely flattering and compliments, expressing that it was their highest honor to serve Mr. Fujiwara.

After showering him with compliments, he tactfully took his leave.

The timing is just right, making people feel comfortable without causing boredom.

"As expected of an elite from a prestigious law firm, their sense of propriety in dealing with people is perfect."

Seiji Fujiwara sighed, then closed the chat window.

……

……

The morning sunlight streamed into the guest room.

Kato Megumi woke up to a soft, unfamiliar surrounding.

She opened her eyes, stared at the unfamiliar ceiling, and felt a few seconds of bewilderment.

It took a while to sort things out.

"Yes, this is Fujiwara-sensei's home."

Kato Megumi rose with a faint expression, seemingly sighing but not quite.

She went into the attached bathroom, washed up, and then left the room.

……

In the living room.

Seiji Fujiwara turned his head and saw the door to the guest room open, and a lovely girl with a bright and clear temperament walked out.

"Awake? Did you sleep well?" He smiled and beckoned to the girl. "Come here."

"Yes, Fujiwara-sensei."

Kato Megumi's eyes flickered slightly, and she took a step forward.

However, Seiji Fujiwara did not do anything she expected; he simply turned the laptop in front of him so that the screen was facing her.

"Let's watch a video first," said Seiji Fujiwara.

"video?"

With a hint of doubt, Kato Megumi turned her gaze to the screen. She reached out and pressed the play button.

The video footage is somewhat shaky, suggesting it was filmed with a mobile phone.

The scene is in front of the local courthouse.

In the video, her arrogant uncle and aunt, along with the hypocritical lawyer Tanaka, are being told by staff, with blank expressions, that their guardianship application has been unconditionally rejected.

Upon seeing this, Kato Megumi was taken aback.

Then, the scene took a sharp turn. A group of police officers suddenly appeared, handcuffed Tanaka, the lawyer who was still shouting about legal procedures, and took her away; another group of police officers and several powerful lawyers in black suits read out the arrest warrant to her uncle and aunt, who were instantly terrified.

The video ends with the uncle and aunt collapsing to the ground, their legs giving way, and being dragged away by the police like dead dogs.

This process was extremely satisfying to watch, especially for Kato Megumi.

soon.

The video finished playing and the screen went dark.

Kato Megumi remained motionless for a long time, her usually calm eyes now filled with turbulent emotions.

The trouble that had plagued her for over a month, leaving her helpless, was so easily resolved in the hands of Seiji Fujiwara!

This kind of power was too overwhelming for a female high school student.

"satisfied?"

Seiji Fujiwara's voice pulled her back from her reverie.

Kato Megumi snapped out of her daze and looked at the calm and collected man before her, feeling a surge of gratitude and awe.

She knew that the price she paid was insignificant compared to the "salvation" she received.

For the first time, a strong emotional fluctuation appeared on the girl's usually calm face.

She took a step back and bowed deeply to Seiji Fujiwara, a full ninety-degree bow.

"Thank you so much for your help." Her voice trembled slightly, barely suppressed. "The result completely exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much!"

"Get up, there's no need for that." Fujiwara Seiji's smile deepened as he raised his hand. "After all, it's a transaction, and I've gained something too."

Kato Megumi straightened up and replied softly, "Yes."

But she knew perfectly well that this was not an equal exchange at all.

It was only Fujiwara Seiji's generosity towards women that allowed her to receive this enormous help.

“However, I seem to have been a little unclear about the details of the transaction before,” Fujiwara Seiji said leisurely. “When I said ‘be my woman,’ I didn’t mean it was something as simple as once or twice.”

He gazed into the girl's eyes and said, word by word:

"It's not a time limit, it's for a lifetime, you'll always be my woman."

Kato Megumi was taken aback for a moment after hearing this, but quickly regained her composure.

“…I understand.” She nodded gently and answered in a matter-of-fact tone, “That’s how it should be. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be enough to repay you for everything you’ve done for me.”

Fujiwara Seiji looked at her calm reaction, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, which then turned into even greater interest.

“Very good.” He smiled and reached out to put his arm around her slender waist. “Now it’s your turn to fulfill the terms of the deal.”
