"I think you might need my help."

Teiji Moriya was completely stunned.

This secret, hidden deep within his heart and one that he himself dared not easily touch, was actually exposed by a stranger!

As he gets older, he feels a strange sense of irritation and disgust whenever he looks back at the "asymmetrical" buildings he designed in his youth.

Later, he gradually came to a conclusion—

"Asymmetry" is a kind of original sin, a desecration of "perfection"!

He had originally hoped that he would be in charge of the planning of New West Tama City, and that he could make the whole city a perfect symmetrical shape, with all buildings following his aesthetics.

But this dream was ultimately shattered by a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo!

The moment my dream shattered, the desire to destroy was stronger than ever before.

Since we can't build a perfect city, let's destroy those imperfect past creations!

Before he could even begin his plan, it was discovered by this mysterious phone call.

After his initial panic subsided, Moriya Teiji asked in a trembling voice, "Who exactly are you?"

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone, with only soft breathing coming through, as if the other person was enjoying his panic.

Then, a soft laugh rang out, carrying an air of effortless arrogance and complete control.

"You can call me Moriarty."

059 - The First Transaction [8th Update]

boom--!

A deafening explosion suddenly tore through the night sky, and scalding air swept in like a tsunami.

The wind made Uesugi Tetsuya and Gin's black trench coats flutter loudly, the hems almost escaping their bodies as they danced in the wind.

The others were swept backward by the airflow, instinctively raising their hands to shield their faces. Through their fingers, they could see pebbles and dust flying everywhere, choking them and making their throats tighten.

Moriya Teiji and Sawaki Kohei's baseball caps were blown off, revealing their sweaty hair on their foreheads.

The two men imitating Gin and vodka were pushed backward by the airflow, their sunglasses slipping down to their noses, revealing the panic in their eyes.

With a continuous roar echoing in his ears, Moriya Teiji shook his dazed head vigorously, trying to refocus his blurry vision.

The sight before him made his heart clench—

The already dilapidated abandoned factory building had completely collapsed in the explosion. Reinforced concrete fragments mixed with dust flew everywhere. Under the moonlight, the ruins resembled a dead giant beast, ferocious and magnificent.

His heart was pounding wildly, almost bursting out of his chest, and his hands trembled slightly with excitement.

This was not fear, but an unprecedented excitement.

This intense sense of shock, this tremor of witnessing destruction, is exactly what he has been pursuing!

Bury the "shame" of the past with bombs, and watch the building you designed go from complete to collapse.

This is not destruction, it is clearly an ultimate form of "art"!

An ultimate art that transcends life and death, existence and non-existence!

Moriya Teiji's brain was buzzing, and his eyes were filled with a fascination that even bordered on madness.

He suddenly felt that his understanding of architectural art had been completely elevated at that moment—

Destruction can also be a form of rebirth!

He subconsciously looked up at the blond, blue-eyed man who called himself "Moriarty," his eyes filled with an almost obsessive fervor.

[From Teiji Moriya: Affection/Loyalty +5, Current Affection/Loyalty: 5]

Uesugi Tetsuya seemed to have noticed his gaze earlier, turned his head and said calmly, "Sorry, we'll talk about your matter later. You should rest for a while."

He looked at the almost crazed light in Moriya Teiji's eyes and could roughly guess what the other was thinking, but he had no intention of delving into it.

The first deal of the night is still waiting for him to negotiate.

Uesugi Tetsu leaned on his silver carved cane and walked step by step toward the two "fake gins" and "fake vodkas".

The sound of the cane striking the gravel was exceptionally clear in the silence after the explosion, mingling with the lingering smell of gunpowder in the air, carrying an invisible sense of oppression.

"How was it? Are you satisfied with the explosion effect?" Uesugi Tetsuya stopped in front of the two, a half-smile playing on his lips, his eyes filled with scrutiny.

The man with long blond hair, mimicking Gin's hairstyle, finally recovered from the shock of the explosion. He nodded hurriedly, his voice still trembling slightly: "Very...very satisfied...but...wasn't the power a bit too much?"

Looking at the ruins before him, he felt a chill run down his spine. If this were used to deal with a target, there probably wouldn't even be any bones left.

"Wouldn't a more powerful bomb solve the problem better?" Uesugi Tetsu shrugged, holding up one finger with his gloved hand. "One price, for a bomb of this size, one—"

"Ten million yen."

The "fake Gin" was instantly stunned, his eyes widening in disbelief.

Ten million? That's outrageous!

The "fake vodka" standing nearby couldn't contain himself any longer. He took a step forward, his burly body snarling, "You...you're robbing me—"

Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly froze.

Suddenly, the cane in Uesugi Tetsu's hand changed shape, and a sharp sword gleaming with cold light slid out from the cane, its tip precisely pressed against his throat. The icy aura made his hair stand on end.

"Fake Vodka" swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing violently. The harsh words he wanted to say got stuck in his throat, and his face turned deathly pale.

Uesugi Tetsuya had a faint smile on his face, but his eyes were devoid of any warmth: "I think this price is a good deal, right?"

The imposter Gin stared at the sword pointed at his underling's throat, then met Uesugi Tetsu's unfathomable eyes, and a cold sweat instantly broke out on his back, trickling down his spine.

He was certain that if he said "no," the sword would pierce his underling's throat and turn back to him in the next second.

Uesugi Tetsu and his two companions are definitely members of that mysterious organization.

The aura of absolute control that Uesugi Tetsuya possessed was something they couldn't imitate.

He felt a pang of regret; perhaps he shouldn't have listened to the other party's slander a few days ago and come to deal with this mysterious organization.

But it was too late to say anything now. My legs were trembling uncontrollably, so I could only bite the bullet and continue the conversation.

"Speak." Uesugi Tetsu frowned, his tone becoming impatient. "Have some manners, don't make me repeat myself."

These two guys were dragging their feet, not saying a word for ages, like they were machines.

"Yes, yes! Sir, it's a great deal!" The blond man nodded hurriedly, his voice trembling.

What a waste!

They're really daring to ask for a price!

"Heh... You can make a hundred million afterward, this mere ten million yen is just the initial investment." Uesugi Tetsuya's cane sword was still pressed against "Fake Vodka's" throat. "You don't expect to get something for nothing, do you?"

A few days ago, this man who called himself "Moriarty" suddenly contacted him and gave him information about a woman who had been buying gold futures for a long time, saying that as long as he helped her complete the transaction, they would split 100 million afterward.

He thought it was a windfall, but he never expected to have to spend an extra ten million to buy bombs!

But seeing the sword pointed at his underling's throat, he dared not haggle any longer and quickly nodded, "I'll buy it! I'll buy it!"

“Very good.” Uesugi Tetsuya flicked his wrist, and the sword instantly retracted into his cane, returning to its original form.

He extended his hand, and the blond man paused for a moment, then instinctively extended his hand as well, assuming the other wanted to shake hands.

Uesugi Tetsu frowned, his tone carrying a hint of disdain: "I'm asking you to give me the money now."

He was about to say that he didn't bring enough money today when he heard Uesugi Tetsu say calmly, "Lying is a pointless act; it will only destroy the little friendship we have left."

The blond man and the burly man exchanged a glance, both seeing helplessness in each other's eyes.

The burly man quickly ran back to his car, took out a black briefcase, and opened it to find stacks of Japanese yen neatly arranged inside.

Vodka stepped forward, opened the briefcase, checked it, and nodded to Uesugi Tetsuya: "The amount is correct."

Uesugi Tetsu then handed over a smaller black briefcase, his tone icy: "The time has been set. Don't open it, or it will trigger a chain switch. Also, don't bump into it, or I won't be responsible for any accidents that happen before the transaction."

The "fake vodka" took the suitcase with trembling hands, but dared not be negligent in the slightest and quickly hugged it tightly to his chest.

Looking at the ruins before him, and then at Uesugi Tetsu's composed demeanor, he felt nothing but fear and dared not even breathe.

"The initial deal is complete, and there will be a second one."

Uesugi Toru turned around, and before leaving, added a sentence, his tone calm yet carrying an undeniable threat:

"Remember, don't try to disappear after the deal. The people I'm looking for, I never can't find."

"Keeping promises will be rewarded, while breaking them will have their souls taken away."

060-Oh my god, how could Chat be so wicked! [9th update]

Gin watched the black sedan disappear into the night, the dust kicked up by the car gradually settling, before slowly turning to look at Uesugi Tetsu: "Is this the business you were talking about?"

His gaze swept over the briefcase in Vodka's hand; the lid wasn't fully closed, revealing stacks of brand-new Japanese yen inside.

"uh-huh."

"Heh...you do have a good business sense." Gin's gaze shifted to the ruins behind him, the fragments of reinforced concrete resembling grotesque white bones in the night. "You dared to sell them a bomb for ten million yen."

“This is a necessary sacrifice.” Uesugi Tetsu shrugged, kicking away the pebbles at his feet. “Leave this Shinkansen deal to them.”

Gin's brows furrowed instantly, and his expression darkened.

He had found it strange earlier that Uesugi Tetsu had deliberately demonstrated the power of the bomb; it turned out he had this in mind.

His original plan was to use a bomb to kill the woman who had made the deal with the organization after the transaction was completed, leaving no future trouble.

Now, however, he was being replaced by two unrelated imposters, which made him very uncomfortable.

"You gave them the transaction information?" Gin's voice grew even colder, his eyes filled with obvious doubt.

[Gin (Kurosawa Jin)'s Affection/Loyalty -1, Current Affection/Loyalty: -9]

“I gave it to you. As for the specific information, you don’t need to ask.” Uesugi Tetsu calmly met Gin’s gaze, his tone carrying an undeniable certainty. “Anyway, the two hundred million yen transaction fee will not be shortchanged.”

"Heh...didn't you just tell them that each of them would get 100 million afterward?" Gin sneered, his eyes full of mockery.

He had already figured out Uesugi Tetsu's scheme.

“When did I say that?” Uesugi Tetsuya didn’t even blink, his tone as calm as if he were stating something perfectly natural. “They are merely temporarily holding onto the wealth that rightfully belongs to me.”

Vodka, standing to the side, was stunned, and only belatedly realized that Brother Chat was planning to double-cross him!

He stole a glance at Gin's gloomy face, then at Uesugi Tetsu's composed demeanor, and muttered to himself—

Holy crap, how could Chat be so wicked!

I thought selling bombs for ten million was ruthless enough, but now it seems they're going to swallow up the two hundred million too!

"This money originally belonged to the organization; it has nothing to do with them." Uesugi Tetsuya looked at Gin as if seeking validation, his tone resolute. "Isn't that right?"

"really."

Gin remained silent for a few seconds, surprisingly without offering any rebuttal.

Although he was unhappy with Uesugi Tetsu's unauthorized changes to the plan, the fact that "the money goes to the organization" was indeed to his liking.

[Gin (Kurosawa Jin)'s Affection/Loyalty +2, Current Affection/Loyalty: -7]

Gin looked at Uesugi Tetsu meaningfully, his eyes carrying a warning: "You better not mess things up. If those two mess up this deal, you'll be responsible."

The bombs provided by Uesugi Tetsuya were far more powerful than the original design.

Gin could even imagine the scene of a bomb exploding in a Shinkansen car; that would definitely be a huge problem.

"Don't worry, the bombs they have aren't real." Uesugi Tetsuya suddenly smiled, noticing Gin's tense expression.

"It's just a game for the brave. If they dare to open the box, they'll find there are no bombs inside; they were just some I deliberately planted..."

"Hmm... a small gift."

Gin's pupils suddenly contracted, and once again he felt that Uesugi Tetsuya's heart was terrifyingly black.

No wonder Uesugi Tetsu specifically reminded the two of "not to open the box or bump into anything"; it turns out he had already set up a trap.

Having witnessed the power of the bomb firsthand, the two men treated the box like a hot potato, carefully guarding it and daring not to open it for verification, for fear of detonating the "bomb."

Little did they know that they had been tricked from the very beginning.

Vodka listened in stunned silence, his understanding of Uesugi Tetsuya being refreshed once again.
