"So please calm down a bit and behave yourself," Blanche said irritably.
Just by placing it on top of her, she could feel how much Princess Virginia's body was trembling.
Princess Virginia, even if you are happy, this reaction is excessive.
“I know you’re excited, but Mr. Bray is still in front of you. Can you calm down a little?” Blanche whispered in Virginia’s ear.
"No, it itches." Blanche's breath tickled Virginia's ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
Bray picked up his glass, taking in the beautiful scene before him with his right eye.
However, he felt that it might not be appropriate to just look like that, and that he should probably pretend to cover his eyes with his hand.
"What?! What?! You're going to back out?! What am I supposed to do?!" Naruko, who was standing to the side, was completely shocked when she heard that Bray had agreed to Virginia's request.
He clearly has her as his official wife, yet he's still cheating on her with those dead fish eyes!?
"You should focus on your work."
"Damn it! You dead fish eyes, you scumbag!" Naruko pointed at Bree and cursed him as a scumbag.
"Hmm!" Levito was stunned by Naruko's aura; Naruko was so brave today.
Bray casually tossed the scabbard away.
"Bang!" The scabbard slammed into Naruko's head with a dull thud.
"It must have hurt a lot." Xiaoyou looked at Naruto who had fainted on the spot and sighed. She had also been beaten up by this dead fish-eyed guy before.
But he was really brave, knowing Bray was so strong and still going for it.
"By the way, as a dragon, one should also have this kind of spirit." An exclamation mark suddenly appeared above Xiao You's head.
"Fear nothing; that is the pride of the dragon."
Today, Xiaoyou learned something new from Mingzi.
“Well then, it’s a date, see you tomorrow.” Virginia mustered her courage and took Bray’s hand.
“Yes, I will do what we agreed on.” Bray nodded expressionlessly, speaking to Virginia with a straight face despite having already abandoned the task.
"Brey, what about Levy?" Levy looked puzzled. What would happen to Levy if Bray went in?
She wanted to go inside with Bray; she didn't want to be left outside.
"Blanche, the tickets." Virginia quickly tugged at Blanche's sleeve.
"To be honest, we actually have one more ticket." Blanche calmly pulled a ticket out of her clothes.
Well, actually there are several more, not just this one, but Blanche won't give them to Naruko or that black-haired ice queen.
"Wow!" Levy jumped up excitedly >V<. Eric slumped listlessly on the table, a bowl of smoothie beside him.
Surprisingly, Eric didn't touch the shaved ice.
“Colonel,” Alice said, sitting down next to Eric.
"what."
"I think the world is going to end, the Colonel didn't even have a smoothie," Alice said.
Importantly, Alice bought this smoothie specifically for the Colonel, hoping to cheer him up.
Unexpectedly, it failed in the end.
"Ah, we still haven't found that guy." Eric slammed his fist on the table a few times in frustration.
Eric was referring to Latis, who had escaped from the detention center two days prior.
Eric has not been able to find Latis in the past two days.
Eric felt he was a complete failure, that he wasn't suited for the job, and that he should just quit on his own initiative.
"Colonel, can you pull yourself together a little?" Alice said, starting to adjust her gun.
“Don’t flaunt your gun in public, that’s against the rules,” Eric said weakly.
“Then please speak with more authority when you’re lecturing,” Alice glanced at Eric.
"Snap." Alice disassembled the gun, the sound sending chills down Eric's spine.
If someone sees this, will I be held jointly liable?
"Clink—" The crisp sound of a spoon hitting a glass rang in Eric's ears.
This wasn't the smoothie Alice had given him; it was something else entirely.
Eric lifted his eyelids and looked to his side.
Bray placed the empty glass on Eric's desk, waiting for Eric to look up.
"Blind man?" Eric asked.
“Soldier, I think I have some intelligence about Bud Bush.” Bray tapped the table; it was the first time he had ever seen Eric so listless.
“Budbush?” Eric’s eyes suddenly sharpened.
"Never mind, I'm currently troubled by something else." Eric then scratched the back of his head helplessly.
"What is it?" Bray had a bad feeling.
“I have a guy named Latis on the run, he’s been on the run for two days,” Eric told Bray.
"..." Bray hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.
Eric instantly noticed the change in Bray's expression.
“Tell me honestly, do you know anything about Latis?” Eric tapped his fingers rhythmically on the table.
Eric suddenly perked up and even picked up the smoothie Alice had bought and started eating it.
“…” Bray’s right eye looked to the left, a little guilty.
Bray didn't really want Eric to catch Latis right now, after all, that guy was still working hard for his sister.
“That guy attempted a crime before, it would be very dangerous to release him,” Eric said solemnly to Bray.
“That guy shouldn’t do anything reckless,” Bray shook his head, denying Eric’s words.
“See, you do know Latis.” Eric stared at Bray.
He was just trying to get information out of Bray, and the honest Bray was successfully tricked into revealing information.
"Tsk." Bray made a sound of displeasure, realizing that he had been tricked by Eric.
"Quickly, tell me, where is that guy?"
"I don't know," Bray shook his head, and he was telling the truth.
"Don't you know?" Eric immediately realized that Bray wasn't lying, and besides, Bray didn't even know what lying was.
It's easy to spot Bray's lies; his acting skills are probably only good enough to fool cute things like Levy.
“I’ll persuade that guy to go back on his own later,” Bray said to Eric after thinking for a moment.
"Let the prisoner run back to the detention center on his own? That's no easy task." Eric looked at Bray with interest.
"Although I don't know where he is, he will probably look for me."
"But let me make this clear beforehand, I'm not going to help you catch him."
If Eric were to propose that kind of ambush plan, Bray would definitely reject it outright.
“I knew you’d say that, but if that guy doesn’t come back on his own, you’ll have to catch him for me,” Eric said, resting his chin on his hand.
"Also, if they don't come back on their own, but are caught by me, it's not just a simple matter of being locked up in a detention center."
"There's a high chance he'll go to jail, maybe for two years." Normally, an attempted crime like Latis's would result in a few months of detention.
But running away will result in even harsher punishment.
"Understood." Bray nodded; he could accept this request.
“Alright, since that’s the case, let’s talk about Bud Bush.” Eric said to Bray with a smile, waving his spoon.
Eric is now a completely different person from the listless man he used to be.
Alice glanced sideways at the beaming Colonel Eric, then silently put away her gun.
She was used to Eric's various bizarre situations; what happened just now wasn't the first time.
“Captain, take some notes,” Eric snapped his fingers and said to Alice.
"Colonel, I had already taken out my notebook and pen before you snapped your fingers," Alice said to Eric, waving the notebook in her hand with a blank expression.
“Well then, blind man, go ahead and tell me as much as you can. Don’t worry about Captain Alice not remembering.” Eric placed his hands on the table and rested his chin on the back of his hands.
Bray glanced at Alice, then at Eric, wondering why the atmosphere felt a little awkward.
I always feel like I'm being interrogated.
In order not to appear weaker than his opponent, Bray decided—
Sit down.
"Aren't you afraid of all those people around?" Bray looked around before speaking.
He and Eric both work at the ice cream shop now, and it's quite popular.
"It's alright, Captain Alice will charm them in a bit."
"I trust the captain's skills; her charm level is top-notch."
Bray's right eyelid kept twitching. Could that kind of allure from a two-dimensional character really be that powerful?
With this in mind, Bray pondered for a few minutes before speaking.
"Latis wants me to stop this performance."
"What performance?" Eric asked casually. He had guessed the answer, but he still wanted to confirm with Bray.
“Aeolus’s concert,” Bray replied.
"What's the reason?" Eric asked bluntly, saving Bray from thinking for too long.
“According to Latis, it’s because Bud Bush wanted to control all the audience members through the performance.” Bray stroked his chin, recalling Latis’s words.
"What the hell? Controlling the entire audience?" Eric's mouth gaped open; this was indeed beyond his imagination.
What does it mean to control the audience?
“Colonel, please continue with your question,” Alice said to Eric.
"Damn it, I'm the boss!"
Eric felt like he was the subordinate! Baphomet stood atop a building in the capital.
The roof was very high, allowing Baphomet to easily take in the surrounding scenery.
The biting wind made Baphomet's cloak flutter loudly.
Baphomme's body was beyond frail; it was as if the wind might blow him away.
“This empire’s capital is truly a place where hidden talents abound.” Baphomet let out a strange laugh, though there was a hint of unease in his voice.
This imperial capital has silver coins, and not just one. How is this possible?
If Baphomet hadn't happened to pass by and noticed a black dragon hidden among the crowd, he wouldn't have taken the initiative to investigate the emperor's situation... and wouldn't have been scared half to death.
It is conservatively estimated that there are three dragons in the capital, which really does match the design of the empire's flag.
In fact, Baphomme wanted to leave now, but he was reluctant to give up halfway through the musical score project, since they had already come this far.
"I'll leave as soon as I see the results, I'll leave as soon as I see the results," Baphomet told himself. He made up his mind to run away as soon as it was over.
No matter what, Baphomet did not want to face the Silver race.
Before Baffromage, he had said that he was an orc mage, and he was not lying.
His mutilated appearance was caused by the Silver Seed.
With no flesh and blood left and only a third of its skeleton remaining, Baphomet still stubbornly survived, though its appearance was not very good.
Baphomet was once too confident in his magical abilities and actually dared to challenge the authority of the Silver Race.
When Baphomet was young, he was fearless and thought that demigods were nothing special.
Before the incident, Baphomet never thought there would be much difference between the Iron and Silver races.
