Unfortunately, even as the protagonist, he couldn't escape the protagonist's law of orphanhood.

Fortunately, he had a portable chip, which, although not very useful, was better than nothing.

In addition to my own efforts, luck, and knowledge, I am fortunate to be alive in this world.

"A trainer who can't make money is not a good trainer."

"Numbers don't lie, so the more money you spend, the stronger your Pokémon will be."

"There is no elf that cannot be trained. If it doesn't work, it means you haven't spent enough money."

"There can't be anyone who still thinks raising a Pokémon is free, right? No way."

“I own mines that can support Yugira.”

The protagonist is either making money or on his way to make money.

Chapter 1 Mercenaries in Viridian Forest

Tokiwa City is located in the western part of the Kanto region.

Its name means eternal green, surrounded by foothills and forests.

Its origin comes from Viridian Forest, the largest Pokémon world bordering it, which is also home to the most diverse and numerous Pokémon species.

While Cerulean City, also a Kanto city, attracts a variety of tourists with its beautiful scenery and water shows, Saffron City thrives thanks to the fame of Queen Elizabeth and its prosperous commercial atmosphere.

What attracts people most to Tokiwa City is the variety of resources within its boundless green sea.

Regardless of the potential profits from illegally capturing and selling Pokémon and their eggs, the profits from gathering various high-quality medicinal herbs in Viridian Forest alone are enough to make anyone envious.

Not to mention, every year there are rumors of lucky people who become rich overnight after obtaining rare treasures like Miracle Seeds that can permanently enhance the power of Pokémon moves during their adventures.

This has led to a constant stream of people coming to Viridian Forest to explore every year, including not only trainers but also bounty hunters.

Don't get me wrong, the bounty hunters mentioned here aren't like the infamous Hunter J; they're all officially registered with a guild.

Of course, every group inevitably has some scum, but groups like bounty hunters, who are known for their willingness to risk their lives for money, seem to have an especially large number of such people.

Every year, countless people die in the Viridian Forest due to the dangers inherent in this beautiful forest.

At this moment, in a deserted corner of Viridian Forest, a brown-haired boy about 1.8 meters tall was running wildly through the forest.

His handsome face was a mixture of joy, excitement, and lingering fear, even appearing somewhat ferocious.

As the boy ran, he couldn't help but turn around and look back. He saw several black and yellow figures flying swiftly through the forest.

Feiying's small body was full of power, and she approached the boy at an incredible speed. The wind stirred up by her wings caused the branches and leaves of the trees that passed by to sway.

As they got closer, Fei Ying's appearance gradually became clearer.

It resembles a large yellow hornet, but it only has four legs instead of six.

The body is divided into three segments. The head is relatively round, the mouth is pointed, and it has two antennae. All four legs are attached to the abdomen.

Its tail is yellow and black, with a poisonous stinger at the end. It has long, slender legs and large, thick white needles on its hands. It has two pairs of wings on its back, with intricate patterns on them.

This is the Beedrill that strikes fear into the hearts of everyone in Viridian Forest!

Beedrills are known for their aggressive temperaments and strong territorial instincts. They will swarm and attack anyone who intrudes into their territory.

If it weren't for the fact that a clueless newbie had attacked Kabuto, causing most of the Beedrill in the group to seek revenge on the trainer, I probably would have avoided the group and wouldn't have dared to attack, just like before.

The handsome young man, Tamaki Tetsuya, fled frantically, and upon hearing the sound of the giant bee's wings constantly vibrating behind him, he gave a wry smile.

But then a look of determination flashed in his eyes. Although it was a spur-of-the-moment decision, he was extremely familiar with this place.

Moreover, during their long escape, they gradually managed to shake off most of the Beedrill's pursuit, leaving only the last three.

Moreover, just thinking about the benefits that would follow if this were to succeed, Tetsuya's face immediately regained its calm and confidence.

Looking up at the bird shadow flying rapidly alongside him in the low sky, Tetsuya calculated the time and distance, and shouted towards the sky.

"Pipikat, use Whirlwind on Beedrill again!"

Hearing Tetsuya's voice, the bird in the air nimbly made a turn in the air and flew straight up, its wings flapping rapidly to create a gust of air that blew the Beedrill behind it.

Beedrill's body swayed with the airflow, and its speed rapidly decreased, just as Tetsuya was about to create distance and escape.

Seeing this, Tetsuya did not flee quickly, but instead turned around and continued to command Pidgey.

"Use the wind force we just experienced to continue using the gust, and increase the intensity!"

With perfect understanding, Pidgey knew exactly what Tetsuya was going to do the moment he spoke, and immediately changed its move, flapping its wings even more forcefully.

What was just a gust of wind instantly turned into a gale, sweeping towards the Beedrill.

Beedrill's body became completely out of control. After all, while insect wings can support them to fly very fast, the power their wings provide for flight is still too little when facing the gale-force winds whipped up by bird Pokémon's wings.

The three bee bees were blown about, and after losing their balance, they were blown away and crashed into the tree trunk.

One of the Beedrills, already badly injured, was unable to fight on the spot, while the other two struggled to get up.

"Use Quick Attack on those two Beedrills and finish them off completely," Tetsuya calmly issued the order.

Pidgey flew rapidly towards the enemy, a faint light flashing across its body as it flew, before suddenly increasing its speed and crashing into two Beedrill in succession.

The Beedrill, which had just gotten up, were immediately knocked away by Pidgeotto's attack and crashed into the tree trunk, losing their ability to fight.

"Well done!" Tetsuya praised from afar.

"Phi~" Pidgey chirped in response to Tetsuya's praise, then landed next to its prize, panting as it tidied its feathers, which had become extremely disheveled after a long battle.

Tetsuya quickly walked to the three unconscious Beedrill, opened his backpack, took out thick gloves, and carefully collected their stingers.

Although all three stingers on a beetle's body are venomous, only the stinger at the tail is the most venomous, and buyers in the market often only purchase the tail stinger.

Although the price is not high, even a small mosquito bite is still meat.

Tetsuya carefully stored the poisoned needle and put it in his backpack.

"Thank you for your hard work, Pidgey." Tetsuya greeted Pidgey, who was preening its feathers and keeping watch, with a smile, and took out another bottle of spray medicine from his bag.

Seeing this, Pidgey flapped its wings and landed next to Tetsuya.

Tetsuya gently applied medicine to Pidgey's wounds and fed it an Orange Berry to help it regain its strength.

"Alright, we can get ready to go back now." After spraying the medicine, Tetsuya breathed a sigh of relief.

However, this is just a simple treatment. To ensure that there are no long-term effects from the injury, it is still necessary to return to Nurse Joy at the Pokémon Center in Viridian City for further treatment.

Tetsuya recalled Pidgeotto into its Poké Ball, surveyed the surroundings, and quickly left in one direction.

Behind them, three bee-like wasps, their stingers removed, remained unconscious. What would become of them?

Perhaps it woke up in time and flew away, and after a few months of recuperation, a new tail stinger grew back. Or perhaps it was eaten by the Pokémon that came after hearing the sound, but none of that mattered to Tetsuya anymore.

Chapter 2 A Magical World and Foreign Visitors

Tetsuya walked easily along the forest path opened up by the Alliance. The area was sparsely populated, and a gentle breeze made Tetsuya's already good mood even more pleasant.

It's not surprising that there are no trainers on safe roads. After all, the Pokémon League regularly issues missions to clear Pokémon within a 2-kilometer radius of the road in order to ensure smooth traffic.

Under such circumstances, eventually no elves will approach this place, let alone gain anything.

Trainers come to Viridian Forest for adventures, either to make money or to hone their skills, so of course they won't take the main road.

In addition, there is a famous saying in the Pokémon world: "True trainers are those who constantly forge new paths in the primeval forest."

So it's not surprising that it's rarely visited by people.

But none of this mattered to Tetsuya. Gazing at the beautiful sunset, Tetsuya tightened his spatial backpack and quickened his pace to return to Tokiwa City.

........

Viridian City Pokémon Center.

The notification sound from the Elf Watch rang.

Tetsuya quickly walked to the treatment table and showed Joey his League ID card.

"Hello Tamaki Trainer, your Pidgeotto has recovered. Please take your Poké Ball."

After confirming his identity with the machine, Joey greeted Tetsuya with a professional smile.

Tetsuya sincerely thanked him and left immediately with the Poké Ball.

It wasn't that Zhe was very polite; one reason was genuine gratitude for healing the elves, and the other was that no one wanted to offend the Joey family.

Although most Joeys are very understanding, they won't do anything to you if you're a little impolite.

However, if one day you make a Nurse Joy think you're not a good trainer, then congratulations, you won't be able to enjoy any service at any Pokémon Center throughout the entire league. Note, I mean any service.

Not only treatment, but also the acceptance and submission of many tasks, registration for regional conferences, and even official forums and transactions are all impossible for you.

Of course, there seem to be only a handful of people like that in the history of the league, so there's no need to worry too much.

.........

Tetsuya, carrying his bag, wandered alone among the bustling buildings, feeling only loneliness and alienation.

"Sixteen years have passed since I came to this world," Tetsuya sighed.

In his previous life, he was just an ordinary person. When he woke up, he found himself transported to this magical world, a place he remembered as an animated world.

And she became a baby, just like in the novel, the kind of poor thing that was abandoned at the gate of an orphanage.

The only saving grace is that the society and technology of this world are far more advanced than in the previous life, so welfare work is also done quite well.

When each orphan grows up in the welfare home to around three years old, the alliance will send someone to teach them basic literacy. Once they have mastered it, they can go to school to learn basic knowledge.

After passing the basic knowledge exam, orphans can choose to study different subjects depending on their performance. This is further advanced education, and the cost for outstanding students is only 1000 Alliance Coins per subject, limited to a maximum of three subjects.

Tetsuya is such an outstanding talent, or rather, even more outstanding than that.

Perhaps due to the enhanced soul after rebirth, Tetsuya wasn't exactly a high-IQ genius in his previous life, but in this life, he can even achieve the exaggerated feat of photographic memory during his studies.

As a result, and with the league only requiring passing an exam, Tetsuya completed his literacy and basic knowledge learning at the age of 7, a full three years ahead of the average person's 10-year progress.

Not to mention Tetsuya's exceptionally good grades, so the League generously waived the cost of Tetsuya's three advanced education courses, a full 3000 League coins, which was a huge sum for Tetsuya, who was still a child at the time.

Therefore, Tetsuya is grateful to the Alliance, after all, he has been able to survive in this world until now thanks to his knowledge of these three professions.

Elf studies, pharmacology, and berry studies were the subjects Tetsuya chose to study back then.

Since he left the orphanage at the age of 12, he has relied on the former two things to survive in Viridian Forest and gradually improve his life.

Don't think this is an exaggeration. It takes a normal person four years to learn a subject and that's just barely enough to pass the exam.

Tetsuya spent five years mastering all three subjects, achieving outstanding results. At the time, the teachers at the Alliance School even thought he could develop into an elf scholar.

However, Tetsuya knew very well that as an orphan, even if he became an elf scholar, he would most likely not have any research results after many years and would not be able to support himself in the end. So he chose to do a job that made money quickly.

Thinking of this, Tetsuya stopped and looked up at the large characters above the gate in front of him—Bounty Hunter Center.

Tetsuya smiled and stepped inside.

Trading desk, counter number 2.

Tetsuya waited in line for a while; the line wasn't long, and it was soon his turn.

The staff member said expressionlessly, "Please place the items you wish to sell on the table in front of you."

Zhe was very familiar with this process, and before the staff could finish speaking, he took the things out of his backpack.

"Five stingers from Beedrill, each priced at 2000 Alliance Coins, totaling 1 Alliance Coins; snake skin from Arbok, unfortunately not from Arbok, worth 50 Alliance Coins per gram, here is 620 grams, totaling 3.1 Alliance Coins."
