"So, we're definitely going to have to fight this guy, don't you think?"
Volume 4, Chapter 210: The Understanding Between Ifrit and Suri
"I understand, I'll choose this one."
Saria glanced at Suri's plans and nodded. She had to admit that while Suri's electronics skills were indeed impressive, the prison had also made many preparations.
The structure of Mansfield Prison made it impossible for Suri to use technology to separate the prison guards.
Even if closing the gates can isolate some of the prison guards, there will inevitably still be some blocking Saria and the others' path.
Saria is very strong, but Himeru and the others may not have much fighting power. Therefore, even for the safety of Himeru and the others, Saria chose a more prudent approach.
After all, dealing with one Jeston is much easier than protecting Himer and the others from multiple attacks by different prison guards.
Having made her decision, Suri nodded:
"Okay, I'll send the message to Himer. As for Kafka and the others, it was agreed before that Himer would contact them. By the way, I directly removed the restraints from their bodies, so it won't affect their combat effectiveness, and it won't show up on the prison guards' system."
"Thank you for your hard work." Saria nodded, a hint of tenderness in her eyes, and then walked towards the designated location.
Mansfield Prison is now nearing the mobile city.
While the prison guards were indeed somewhat nervous about this, it wasn't difficult for Suri and her friends.
Moreover, Suri has a different perspective on this issue:
“Look, if Mansfield Prison is getting close to the mobile city, doesn’t that mean the guards will soon be resting and changing shifts? That might make them more irritable and easier to deal with.”
'At times like these, criminals are most likely to try to escape, so prison guards should be on high alert.'
Seria didn't quite agree with Suri's opinion.
"No, no, not everyone is as serious and dedicated as you, Saria. Most people just live day by day. When it comes to times when they are about to relax, some of the prison guards will definitely become lax."
"That makes sense, but that doesn't stop us from still choosing the safest plan, does it?"
"Of course, I'm just telling you."
Suri nodded, while Saria returned to her dormitory to check on Ifrit's situation.
Then, when Saria opened the door, she saw Ifrit studying diligently.
"Good job, Ifrit, you're very good."
Saria smiled and approached Ifrit, reaching out to stroke the little girl's hair. At the same time, Saria was a little puzzled, wondering when Ifrit had become so well-behaved.
However, it's probably because Ifrit has been through a lot. After all, being chased and forced to run away, and then sneaking into the prison to cause some big trouble, must have put a lot of pressure on the young girl.
Saria attributed Ifrit's obedience to Ifrit becoming more sensible due to pressure, but when she reached out to stroke Ifrit, she didn't see Ifrit blinking at the phone placed in the corner.
In fact, Ifrit had just been playing a game with Suri. The two of them were cooperating quite well. With Suri's help with the calculations, even mobile phones could run games that required high-performance graphics cards.
So Suri and Ifrit had a great time, and with Suri's intelligence work, Saria was completely unaware of their little schemes.
Of course, all of this is on the premise that Ifrit actually completes her task. Suri is very serious about this. Since he has to attend classes properly, there's no reason why Ifrit shouldn't.
At this moment, sitting next to Saria, Ifrit sat in a chair, gently swinging her legs, and asked cheerfully:
"Saria, how's your operation going? I heard Mansfield Prison is almost at the next mobile city. Are you about to start your operation as well?"
“You don’t need to worry too much about Ifrit,” Saria said, smoothing Ifrit’s hair.
"We'll take care of these things. You just need to pack your things."
Ifrit nodded cheerfully: "Okay, I got it! But most of my luggage is with Suri, so there's no need to pack."
So, the next thing to do is prepare for the prison break, right? Suri said that if possible, she would also be able to see some exciting close-quarters combat, which made Ifrit quite excited.
Although most people think she's a bit silly, Ifrit is actually quite smart; at the very least, her logical thinking is quite sound.
Saria nodded, went to her bedside, and put away some personal items. It was best to check before starting the operation so that no important personal items would be left behind.
Just as Saria was being examined, Suri's voice rang in her ear:
"Alright, no need to look anymore. I've already packed up all your personal belongings. Here's a scan of your room and a list of your personal items. I've already compiled them."
'Hmm.' Saria's gaze swept over her underwear and some personal belongings, and she couldn't help but feel a little shy.
However, she didn't show it. Instead, she felt happy about the intimacy between herself and Suri. They had become so close that they could discuss these things directly without feeling embarrassed.
Now that the checkup was over, Saria glanced at the time and nodded to Evelyn, who had already packed her things and was sitting on the soft bed, looking at her expectantly.
"Ready? In that case, we should set off."
"Yay! I've been here for so long and I feel so bored. There are so many places where I can't move around freely. Staying in the dormitory and school all day is so annoying."
As Ifrit said this, she got up and followed Saria.
The little girl had initially thought she would be embarking on a fairly exciting infiltration and escape mission with Saria.
But to Ifrit's surprise, with Suri's scanning vision support, they managed to avoid almost all the prison guards along the way.
Even if they did encounter one or two, they were easily fooled.
This disappointed Ifrit somewhat. After arriving at a relatively quiet place, Ifrit couldn't help but mutter a complaint under her breath:
"I thought it would be a very exciting experience."
"This is not a game, and such covert operations are best not to be fun."
Suri's voice came through the earpiece. Although she didn't quite agree, Evelyn nodded. After all, Suri could control the people she played games with, and she couldn't afford to offend her, or she wouldn't be able to play any games.
Volume 4, Chapter 211: It's like...
Soon, Himer, Kafka, Saria, Robin, and the big cat that had been found had all gathered at the entrance to the tunnel leading to the outside world of Mansfield.
"Ifrit!" Upon seeing Ifrit, Himer immediately went to the little girl's side, pressed Ifrit's shoulder, and carefully checked her for injuries.
Su Rui quietly observed the scene, then suddenly spoke:
"Look at Himer's wings, don't they look like a hen cradling medical bills in its arms?"
Because of her atavism, one of Himer's arms is actually shaped like an owl's wing. Although it is sometimes inconvenient to reach for things, it makes it easier for Himer to hold Ifrit in her arms.
Saria glanced at the simple drawing of an eagle catching chicks that Suri had shown her. Hermer looked like she was protecting her own offspring, and it did look quite like a protective image.
However, Saria's serious personality made her reluctant to laugh. After all, she gave off a serious and earnest impression, and Saria also wanted to maintain that aura.
So she had a hard time suppressing her laughter.
At this moment, Jeston, who had long been marked in Su Rui's scanning field of vision but thought he was well hidden, stepped out from the corner, swirling the red wine in his glass while letting out what he thought was an elegant laugh:
"I never expected that Saria, the head of Rhine Lab's defense department, would personally come here just to save a not-so-important company heir?"
As Jeston spoke, he looked towards the mountain, because the large white cat had already rushed out as soon as it saw him.
However, although Suri had removed the prisoner restraints from Big Cat, without weapons, Big Cat's combat power was still insufficient against Jeston, who possessed Originium Arts and had undergone modifications.
Thus, with the power and destructive force brought by Originium Arts, Jeston easily knocked the big cat to the ground and threw it aside, then turned his gaze to Saria.
"Saria, do you remember when you rejected my job application?"
“I remember, but you didn’t pass because you didn’t meet Rhine Life’s hiring requirements.”
Saria didn't show any emotional fluctuation because of Jeston's problem. Saria had guessed that this scene would probably happen when Suri gathered information about Jeston.
Meanwhile, Jeston on the other side began his aria-like questioning, but that wasn't important. What truly puzzled and surprised Saria was that Suri, along with Jeston, spoke almost in unison:
"I've always had a slight doubt about whether you're really stronger than me."
'……What are you doing?'
Saria's expression was strange, and she couldn't help but wonder in her mind why Suri was saying the same thing as Jeston.
"Because that sentence is just too funny, cough cough. Anyway, don't think too much about it. Isn't he coming over to fight? Teach him a lesson. Three punches will do the trick!"
Suri cheered in Seria's mind, urging her to get started.
'All right.'
Saria caught Jeston's fist and slammed it into his chest, piercing through the guard's armor and iron-plated protection.
Suri even slowed down the image of Jeston's iron-bearing structure being penetrated and then marked it:
"This is a weakness; we can incapacitate him without causing serious harm."
"Hmm." Saria nodded, dodging Jeston's pursuit while punching him to the ground. Her body convulsed with excruciating pain. Jeston stared wide-eyed at Saria before slowly collapsing to the ground.
Now he doesn't even have a chance to use his Originium Arts to fight Saria. But even if he did have the chance, it wouldn't make much difference, since Saria would easily defeat him anyway.
With that in mind, Suri took one last look at Jeston's condition: "Hmm, all set. He'll probably be unconscious for a while before waking up. That's enough time for us to escape from here. Besides, those prison guards might not believe him."
Suri said with a hint of schadenfreude, "Do you think I should send Jeston's identity information to the database of Mansfield Prison? That way, the people here will immediately discover that he infiltrated as a spy."
"You can decide for me. By the way, try not to cause too much damage to the database."
After all, there are quite a few criminals in the prison who are incarcerated for legitimate crimes. If it has any impact on Mansfield Prison and these criminals escape, it would be bad.
"Don't worry, don't worry, who am I? I definitely won't cause any trouble."
Suri said smugly, and he certainly had the right to say so: "The database here is like a naked beauty to me, isn't it all at my mercy?"
"What an outrageous description!" Saria couldn't help but feel a little helpless, but she didn't say anything for the moment. She simply nodded silently, then looked at Himeru and Ifrit beside her, and nodded to the others.
"Alright, let's hurry up and go. Someone's coming to meet us outside."
So the group entered the tunnel and headed out of Mansfield.
Halfway through their journey, Kafka, who was following them, glanced around with some confusion:
"Is it just my imagination? I have this feeling that the guards at Mansfield Correctional Facility are a little too well-behaved?"
"Why do you say that?" Hamer looked at Kafka in confusion, not understanding what she meant, but she could still understand the worry about danger implied in her words.
Kafka held up one finger and said matter-of-factly:
"Of course it's because of the alarm. We've been out for so long, and we didn't even walk as fast as you could to conserve your energy. Logically speaking, the prison guards should have spotted us and sounded the alarm long ago."
Himer nodded thoughtfully, while Kafka continued to speculate: "So I wonder if they've already noticed us and are planning to ambush us at the end of the passage?"
Kafka's speculation immediately made the rest of the group, including Himer, nervous, except for Saria and Ifrit.
Ifrit had absolute faith in Suri's abilities, and as for Saria, she could see Suri's scanning field of vision. Although the prison guards were in an uproar, they hadn't guessed their escape route.
Su Rui couldn't help but speak up:
"Of course it's because I turned off the prison's alarm system. At least the prison won't sound an alarm about our escape."
Volume 4, Chapter 212: Saria: Where am I, Suri?!
Suri's sudden voice from her phone startled everyone present. However, Ifrit relaxed when she noticed that Suri was finally speaking in front of everyone, and excitedly took out her phone to talk to Suri.
But Himer reached out and took Ifrit's phone, stuffing it back into Ifrit's pocket, and said in a gentle but undeniable tone:
"Ifrit, you can't use your phone."
"I just want to talk to Suri, I promise, I won't play games, okay, Hemer?"
Ifrit looked a little aggrieved, then gave Himer a pleading look, staring at Himer expectantly before taking her phone out of her pocket again.
Hamer looked at Ifrit's phone in surprise. The screen lit up automatically and a greeting emoji appeared.
"You're Suri? So, all that intelligence about Saria, and all the help we've received these past few days, was done by you?"
Hermer's tone softened as he thanked Suri, "Thank you."
"Oh, no problem. We're almost out. Are you sure you don't want to focus on escaping first?"
With Suri's reminder, the others finally came to their senses. Kafka, however, wasn't as quick to react as his aunt; he simply moved closer to Ifrit, wanting to reach out and peek at the screen.
"Hi Suri, I'm Kafka. You're really capable! I think we could team up and do something big together sometime!"
Before Suri could answer Kafka's invitation, Seria interrupted her with a frown:
"This ability isn't for robbing banks."
As she spoke, Saria gently pulled Ifrit to her side, separating Kafka from her:
"Alright, we should leave quickly."
"Okay, okay, it's just a thought." Kafka shrugged, not refuting Saria, and just continued walking with her with a grin.
