Yela: "!!!" (As expected! You still won't give up!)

Both of them saw shock, embarrassment, and... a hint of annoyance at being caught!

Almost simultaneously, both of them instinctively tried to hide the blankets behind their backs, but it was clearly too late.

"Holy Maiden, what brings you here so late at night?" Yera spoke first, her voice low and coldly questioning.

"I...I got up to check if the fireplace fire was out, and also...to give Suriga a blanket, in case he catches a cold." Enya's cheeks were burning as she tried to remain calm, her voice barely audible. "Yela, what about you? Why aren't you asleep either?"

"It's my duty to patrol at night and ensure safety," Yera lied without batting an eye, her dark eyes fixed on Enya. "Adding a blanket is a small matter; there's no need for the Holy Maiden to do it herself. It's late and the dew is heavy, please go back to your room to rest." As she spoke, she was about to step forward.

"No need! I can do it myself!" Enya immediately stepped aside to block Yera, her tone carrying a hint of barely perceptible urgency. "Yera, you should go and rest too, everything's fine here."

“Protecting the Holy Maiden is my top priority. How can I rest if you don’t rest?” Yera said firmly, not backing down an inch. “Please go back to your room, Holy Maiden. Leave this to me.”

"I said I don't need it!" Enya said, her voice rising slightly as she became a little anxious.

Suri seemed to be startled from her sleep. She unconsciously frowned, mumbled something, turned over, and hugged her tail in her arms even tighter.

The two fell silent instantly, watching Su Rui nervously until his breathing became steady again, at which point they breathed a sigh of relief.

"Look! I almost woke him up!" Enya said in a low voice, giving Yera a reproachful glare.

“You raised your voice first,” Yela retorted coldly.

The two were locked in a stalemate once again, staring at each other, neither willing to back down. A silent tension hung in the air. Their target was Suri, but their "destination" was completely different—Enya wanted to take her back to her outer chambers, while Yera wanted to drag her back to her room for "strict supervision."

This standoff couldn't go on. Enya's eyes darted around, and she decided to change her strategy. She softened her tone and said in a conciliatory voice, "Yera, how about this? We... move Suri to... the soft couch in the outer room? It'll be more comfortable there. We can take turns keeping watch over him at night? That way it'll be safe, and we can take care of him at the same time?" She tried to find a compromise.

Yela refused without hesitation: "No! The couch is too close to your bedchamber, it's not safe! It must be isolated!" She would never compromise on matters of principle!

"Then...then what do you suggest we do?!" Enya was also getting annoyed.

Yera's dark eyes flickered, as if she had made up her mind. She took a deep breath and, in a very low voice, proposed a groundbreaking solution: "Since we each hold our own opinions and neither of us can convince the other, nor can we trust the other to 'take care of' him alone... then there is only one way."

Enya was taken aback: "What method?"

Yela's gaze swept over the sleeping Suri on the floor, then turned to Enya, her tone carrying a sense of resignation... "Take him... to my room. Then... we... will 'guard' him together."

Enya: "!!!" Together?! To Yera's room?! To spend the night with Suri?! This...this is outrageous! What will people say if word gets out?! What about the saintess's reputation?! What about the maid's honor?!

But... what Yera said next made her waver.

“This is the only solution that can simultaneously satisfy ‘close care’ (for you) and ‘absolute security monitoring’ (for me),” Yera’s voice was cold and rational. “In my room, we can both look after each other and supervise each other to ensure nothing goes wrong. It’s much better than… like now, where we’re wary of each other and even sneaking in at night to ‘kidnap’ each other.” Her words incisively exposed the awkward situation between the two.

Enya's face instantly turned bright red! Being directly exposed by Yera for her "leopard-stealing" intentions filled her with shame and embarrassment. But...on thought about it carefully, Yera's words seemed...to be the most "reasonable" solution at the moment? Although it sounded shocking, in the secluded snow-capped monastery late at night, it didn't seem...completely unacceptable? At least, she could keep an eye on Suri, and Yera could rest assured...it was better than letting Suri sleep here alone, or being "monopolized" by the other party?

A strange feeling, a mixture of adventure, excitement, and... a hint of secret anticipation, welled up in Enya's heart. She looked at Yera's dark eyes that shone brightly in the darkness, then at Suri on the ground, who was sleeping like an angel (if you ignored her ears and tail), completely unaware of what was happening. She bit her lower lip, and finally... nodded as if possessed!

"Okay... alright." Her voice was barely audible, and her cheeks were burning.

Yera seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, a barely perceptible hint of...relief flashing in her dark eyes. She nodded: "Let's not delay, be careful."

Thus began a bizarre "joint operation".

The two carefully crouched down and unfolded their respective blankets. Enya gently covered Suri with her soft down blanket, carefully tucking the corners in. Yera, on the other hand, wrapped Suri, along with her thicker animal skin blanket, tightly around her, leaving only her furry head exposed.

Volume 18, Chapter 1110: After some deliberation, I compromised.

Then, Yera gestured to Enya to help support Suri's knees, while she herself stretched out her arms, steadily passing them under Suri's knees and back, and with a little force, lifted Suri, who was wrapped up like a "blanket roll," into her arms horizontally!

Suri seemed to sense movement in his sleep, shifted restlessly, and uttered a few indistinct murmurs. But perhaps the blanket was too warm, or perhaps the embrace was too secure (Yera's arms were incredibly strong, and she held him very firmly), he did not wake up. He simply snuggled closer to Yera, found a more comfortable position, and continued to sleep soundly, even purring a little louder.

Enya and Yera exchanged a glance, both seeing a hint of tension and... excitement at the imminent success in each other's eyes. Holding their breath, Yera held Suri in her arms, while Enya protected her from the side. Like thieves, they tiptoed and moved extremely slowly... toward Yera's room next to Enya's.

Yera's room was extremely simply furnished: a hard bed, a wardrobe, and a desk; it was so clean it was almost uninhabited. Yera gently placed the rolled-up Suri on her hard bed (she hesitated for a moment, but couldn't bear to let him sleep on the floor), then exchanged glances with Enya.

What to do next...? Should we really sleep together?

The atmosphere instantly became extremely awkward and...ambiguous.

Finally, Yera broke the silence. She pointed to the inside of the bed and whispered to Enya, "Your Holiness, you sleep inside, I'll sleep outside." She took on the responsibility of "guarding" herself.

Enya blushed, nodded, took off her shoes and shawl, and carefully climbed onto Yera's hard bed, lying on the innermost side, facing Suri.

Yera also took off her cloak and outer garment (underneath she was still wearing her neat maid outfit), blew out the dim oil lamp on the table, and then lay down fully clothed on the outside of the bed, also on her side, facing Suri, and deliberately maintaining a certain distance.

In the darkness, all was silent. The only sounds were the faint breathing of the three people and Su Rui's continuous, soft gurgling.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. But neither Enya nor Yera could sleep. They could clearly feel the body temperature and breathing of the other person beside them, and... the warm and reassuring aura emanating from the "culprit" sandwiched between them.

Suri seemed completely unaware of where he was. He was sleeping soundly, even unconsciously turning over to lie flat on his back. His arm slipped out from under the blanket and draped over Enya, while his fluffy tail unconsciously brushed against Yera's cheek.

Enya: "!!!" Her body instantly stiffened! Her cheeks turned bright red!

Yera: "!!!" Her cheek, which had been brushed by the tail, felt itchy. She instinctively tried to dodge, but in the end... she just tilted her head slightly and didn't move.

In the darkness, both of them could feel the tension in each other's bodies and...accelerated heartbeats.

What... what's going on here?! The saintess and her maid, plus a handsome young man with beast ears and a beast tail, are squeezed onto a hard bed... sharing a bed?! If this scene were to get out, it would be enough to shock the entire continent of Terra!

However, amidst this extreme awkwardness and absurdity, a strange, warm, and reassuring feeling quietly arose. Listening to Suri's steady breathing and gurgling sounds, and feeling the real presence of the two people beside her, an unprecedented feeling of "home" enveloped the simple room.

After an unknown amount of time, the tension and awkwardness were gradually replaced by exhaustion and warmth. Enya was the first to succumb to sleepiness and drifted off to sleep, even unconsciously snuggling closer to Suri. Yera lay awake in the darkness, alert for a long time, before finally, amidst Suri's rhythmic snoring and the steady breathing of the two beside her, she slowly closed her eyes.

The first rays of dawn struggled to pierce through the thick, leaden clouds of Shelag and the frost-covered windowpanes, bringing a hazy glow to Yera's simply furnished room. The air was filled with a mixture of the crisp scent of snow, a faint smell of pine, and… something indescribable, a warmth that felt like a second skin.

Suri (Snow Leopard version) slowly awoke from a deep sleep in an extremely warm, soft, and…crowded embrace. The moment consciousness returned, the first thing she felt was an unprecedented sense of comfort and security throughout her body. It was as if she were soaking in warm water, every cell lazily stretching out. Two distinct yet strangely harmonious scents lingered around her nose—one was a familiar, gentle scent belonging to Enya, with a pure, herbal fragrance; the other was colder, more restrained, with a hint of metallic and leathery texture—was it…Yera's scent?

He groggily shifted his body, trying to stretch, but found himself seemingly... unable to move? His body was tightly enveloped by something warm and soft. His cheek seemed to be pressed against some kind of warm, smooth...skin?

He opened his eyes slowly, confused. His obsidian-like eyes, still hazy from just waking up, adjusted to the dim light.

The first thing that caught his eye was a magnified, serene sleeping face so close to his. Long, silvery-white hair, like a brocade woven from moonlight, spread across the pillow, a few strands playfully brushing against his cheek, causing a slight tickle. Long eyelashes drooped like butterfly wings, casting soft shadows on his fair skin. His lake-blue eyes were closed, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, carrying a contented and peaceful smile. It was Enya. She was sleeping on her side, facing him, one arm still unconsciously draped over his waist, her breathing even and long.

Suri's brain went blank for a few seconds. Enya? How come...she's so close to me?

He instinctively wanted to turn his head to see what was happening on the other side. As he moved, his cheek brushed against a different touch—the smooth fabric with a slightly cool body temperature (the collar of Yera's maid outfit), and... a strand of black hair that fell down, carrying a cool fragrance.

He tilted his head slightly, his gaze passing over his shoulder (he realized he was wrapped up like a silkworm cocoon), and saw another face.

Yera. She was also sleeping on her side, facing him, but her posture was noticeably more restrained, maintaining a subtle distance between them. Her black hair was perfectly styled, and even in her sleep, a lingering wariness seemed to linger between her brows. Her breathing was lighter and shallower than Enya's, as if she might wake up at any moment. But at this moment, her tightly closed eyes and relaxed lips softened her usual coldness and sharpness, revealing a rare, weary gentleness.

Suri: "!!!"

Volume 18, Chapter 1111: Escape is Not Impossible

Suri instantly snapped awake! His brain felt like it had been doused with ice water! Fragments of last night's memories flooded back—he was sleeping on the carpet…and then…it seemed…he'd been moved? …And then…this was…Yera's room?! Enya and Yera…slept on either side of him?! He…he'd been sandwiched between them all night?!

A tremendous sense of absurdity and intense shame swept over him like a tsunami! His cheeks, ears, and neck turned bright red in an instant, visible to the naked eye! The redness extended all the way to the base of his tail! He... he had actually... shared a bed with two women all night?! Even though they were separated by blankets and clothes, this close, almost embracing sleeping position was, to him, simply... an utter disgrace!

He suddenly wanted to sit up! To escape this "gentle haven" that made him so uncomfortable!

However, the moment he moved, Enya's arm, which was resting on his waist, tightened instinctively, as if trying to hold onto him tightly even in his dream. At the same time, a very soft, displeased nasal sound came from behind him, as if Yera had been startled.

Su Rui's body froze instantly! He dared not make any sudden movements, afraid of waking the two of them and facing an even more awkward situation. He could only lie there stiffly, staring wide-eyed at Enya's sleeping face so close to his, feeling Yela's faint breathing behind him, his heart pounding wildly, almost leaping out of his chest!

This is...this is outrageous! What on earth happened?! How did he end up in this state?!

Shame, embarrassment, and a strange...guilt all intertwined, almost suffocating him. He desperately needed to do something to break this agonizing deadlock, at least...to express his dissatisfaction and protest!

His gaze fell on Enya's fair and smooth face, so close to his own. A... mischievous thought (or rather, an urge to vent) welled up in his mind.

He carefully and very slowly pulled his bushy tail out from under the tightly wrapped blanket. The tail was a little messy from being squeezed all night, but it was still soft and fluffy.

Suri held his breath, a wicked glint flashing in his dark eyes. He controlled his tail like a flexible whip (a soft-haired version), and gently, with a hint of vengeance... slapped Enya's cheek with the tip of his tail!

The movement was very light; it was more like a "brush" than a "pat." The fuzzy touch felt like a feather tickling you.

"Hmm..." Enya unconsciously uttered a muffled murmur in her sleep, her brows furrowing slightly, but she did not wake up. Instead, she subconsciously snuggled closer to Su Rui, her cheek almost touching his neck!

Suri: "!!!" He froze, his tail twitching back in fright! His cheeks turned even redder!

No! I need to find a different target!

His gaze then shifted to Yera behind him. Yera was sleeping rather properly, her face a little far from him. Suri thought for a moment, then cautiously stretched out his tail again, this time targeting Yera's arm draped outside the blanket...

The tip of its tail lightly brushed against Yera's bare wrist.

Yera's reaction was far more intense than Enya's! Her body trembled violently, and her dark eyes snapped open! There was no trace of the confusion of just waking up in her eyes, only a sharp, eagle-like alertness and... a hint of annoyance at being disturbed! Her gaze instantly locked onto... Suri's bright red face, so close to her, and... the tool of the crime that hadn't yet fully retracted—that fluffy tail!

Their eyes met! The air froze instantly!

Suri's heart skipped a beat! She'd been caught!

Yera's dark eyes narrowed dangerously, her voice low and hoarse from just waking up, filled with a chilling murderous intent: "What...are you doing?" She clearly believed that Suri was engaging in some kind of inappropriate harassment!

Su Rui opened his mouth, wanting to explain, but shame, indignation, and embarrassment left him speechless for a moment.

Yera's angry shout also woke up Enya on the other side.

"Hmm... what's wrong?" Enya opened her eyes groggily, her lake-blue eyes still heavy with sleep. When she saw the scene before her—she was practically lying in Su Rui's arms, while Su Rui's face was flushed and her eyes were darting around nervously, and Yela was glaring at Su Rui with an icy expression—she instantly snapped awake! A blush instantly spread across her cheeks!

"Ah!" she exclaimed softly, like a startled rabbit, and tried to jump away from Su Rui! But because she had been hugging him so tightly, this movement caused the blanket wrapped around Su Rui to move, making Su Rui sway as well!

This sudden movement completely shattered the fragile balance!

Seizing the opportunity, Su Rui disregarded his shame and only wanted to escape this "place of trouble"! He suddenly tried to sit up!

"Trying to run?!" Yera's eyes flashed! She acted almost reflexively! Swift as lightning! A hand, like an iron clamp, instantly gripped Su Rui's shoulder! A tremendous force struck, and Su Rui, who had just lifted his body slightly, was forcefully... pressed back onto the bed! A muffled "bang" resounded!

"Ugh!" Caught off guard, Su Rui's back slammed heavily onto the hard bed. Although it didn't hurt, she felt incredibly humiliated!

Almost at the same time, Enya, due to inertia, tripped over the blanket while trying to escape, lost her balance, and cried out. Instead of escaping, she fell back onto Suri again! And this time, she landed squarely on his chest!

Suri: "!!!" He was surrounded by a "wolf" (Yela's suppression) in front and a "tiger" (Enya's advances) behind! He was completely "sealed" on the bed! Unable to move!

"Let me go!" Su Rui was both ashamed and furious, struggling with her hands and feet, her cheeks flushed red as if they were about to bleed! A disgrace! Absolutely a disgrace!

"Don't move!" Yera hissed, tightening her grip on his shoulder, her dark eyes flashing with cold light. "Tell me! What were you trying to do just now?!" She clearly still remembered what happened with the tail.

"I...I didn't mean to do anything!" Suri's voice trembled with anger. "I just wanted to get out of bed!"

"You need to use your tail to bother people to get up?" Yera didn't believe it at all, her tone icy.

"I was... I was waking you up!" Su Rui was speechless, filled with shame and indignation.

"Wake us up?" Enya, nestled against Suri's chest, looked up, her lake-blue eyes filled with a hint of confusion and...unexplained shyness? She used her tail...to wake us up? This method...is a bit too...intimate, isn't it?

"Shut up!" Suri yelled angrily at Enya, who was on top of him.

Enya was startled by his shout, her eyes instantly reddening. She pouted, looking aggrieved, "Suri...you're yelling at me..."

Volume 18, Chapter 1112: This is fake crying.

Su Rui: "..." He looked at Enya's tearful appearance and felt a sudden unease, so he struggled a little less.

Seeing that Enya seemed about to cry, Yela frowned even more, but did not loosen her grip on Suri's hand at all. Instead, she said coldly, "Your Holiness, this person's behavior is improper and his intentions are unclear. He must be interrogated thoroughly!"

Thus, in Yera's room that morning, an extremely chaotic and ambiguous scene unfolded: Suri was pinned down on the bed by Yera, Enya was half-lying on top of him, all three were disheveled (mainly Suri's robe was in disarray), their hair was messy, their faces were flushed, and they were entangled together. Suri struggled in shame and anger, Yera coldly suppressed him, and Enya made a wronged accusation... It was a complete scene of a major accident after being caught in the act!

Looking at the two women on top of him, one looking aggrieved and the other radiating murderous intent, Su Rui felt a deep sense of powerlessness wash over him. He gave up struggling, slumped onto the bed in despair, closed his eyes, and forced out a sentence through gritted teeth:

"...Fine...Do as you please, kill me or torture me..."

This is unbearable!

Su Rui's desperate and self-destructive words, "Kill me or torture me, it's up to you," were like an ice cube thrown into boiling oil, instantly freezing the tense atmosphere in the room for a moment.

Yera's hand on Suri's shoulder loosened almost imperceptibly. The sharp killing intent in her dark eyes momentarily faltered, as if she were taken aback by Suri's sudden "playing dumb" attitude. Interrogate him? How? Should she really drag him out and beat him up? She had only instinctively found Suri's "harassment" with his tail earlier suspicious, coupled with the embarrassment and anger of waking up to find the three of them in bed together, which was why she had adopted a forceful approach. But Suri's "do as you please" attitude left her somewhat... at a loss?

Enya, who had been half-lying on Su Rui's chest with a wronged expression, was stunned by Su Rui's indignant tone. She raised her teary, lake-blue eyes and looked at Su Rui, whose eyes were tightly closed, lips pressed together, and who wore a stubborn expression as if she had been utterly wronged. The slight grievance in her heart was instantly replaced by immense guilt and remorse. Yes… just now… it seems… she was the one who climbed on top of him first? And… last night… it seems she and Yera were the ones who "stole" the sleeping Su Rui into bed first?

After a brief silence, Suri, overwhelmed by immense shame and humiliation, suddenly opened his eyes! His obsidian-like eyes burned with raging fury; the blush that had settled on him earlier had now completely transformed into a furious crimson! He glared intently at Yela, who was right next to him and still holding his shoulders, then abruptly turned to glare at Enya, who was clinging to him, looking guilty. His voice trembled slightly with extreme anger, carrying a veiled accusation:

"The guilty party accuses the innocent first... You two! Don't you have any sense of reason?!"

His voice wasn't loud, but it boomed like thunder in the silent room.

"I slept alone on the carpet last night! I slept soundly!" Su Rui was so angry that her tail bristled, whipping violently in the limited space, making soft "smack smack" sounds as it hit the bed. "It was you! It was you two who sneaked over sometime during the night! And put me on this lousy bed! And... and sandwiched me between your legs! And now look what's happened! It's dawn! You're awake! And you're turning the tables on me?! You're blaming me for bothering you?! You're blaming me for misbehaving?!"

He grew angrier as he spoke, his chest heaving violently, glaring at Yela: "You! What are you doing holding me down?! Did I want to run away? You tied me up here! Is it wrong for me to want to go back to my own 'bed' (carpet)?!" He then abruptly turned to Enya and glared: "And you! What are you crying on top of me for?! Did I tell you to lie on me?! You fell here yourself! I even thought you were too heavy!"

Suri's barrage of accusations, delivered with clear logic and irrefutable facts, completely stunned Yera and Enya!

Yera: "!!!" Her hand on Suri's shoulder froze completely. A rare... panic and... guilt flashed in her dark eyes. Yes... what Suri said... seemed... entirely true? Last night, she and the Saintess "conspired" to move him over while he was asleep... This morning, she was the one who woke up first, mistakenly thinking Suri used his tail... And, it was indeed she who pushed Suri back onto the bed...

Enya: "!!!" She lay frozen, clinging to Suri's chest! Her cheeks flushed crimson, as if they were about to bleed! Every word Suri said felt like a whip lashing at her conscience! That's right! She was the one who suggested it first... no, she was the one who made the first move... no, she and Yela together... "stole" Suri! And just now, she really lost her balance and fell back onto Suri! Good heavens! She was just complaining that Suri had yelled at her?! This... this is simply... so unreasonable!

Overwhelmed by a wave of shame, Enya sprang up from Suri and scrambled to the inside of the bed, pulling the blanket tightly around herself. Only her deep blue eyes, filled with utter humiliation, were visible. Her voice was barely audible, trembling with sobs: "I...I'm sorry! Suri! It's...it was our fault...we...we shouldn't have..."

Yera's reaction was more direct. As if burned, she abruptly released her grip on Suri's shoulder, leaping from the bed like a startled cheetah, taking two large steps back until she was against the wall! An unnatural blush spread across her cheeks, reaching her ears! Her dark eyes were filled with shock, embarrassment, and… the disarray of having her thoughts exposed! She pressed her lips tightly together, her gaze darting around, not daring to look Suri in the eye, much less Enya! For the first time in her life, this powerful, always calm and composed "maid" (goddess) experienced what it meant to be "utterly speechless" and "socially dead"!
