And Yera… Yera was still the same Yera. Calm, aloof, like unchanging ice and snow. Her appearances were unpredictable; sometimes she would remain hidden deep within the inner chamber for days on end, while other times she would suddenly appear beside Suri, casually reaching out with her cool fingers to knead his sensitive animal ears or gently stroke his silver hair, whether he was reading (forced to read with Ensia), eating, or even just spacing out. Her touch always carried an unquestionable, self-righteous air, as if saying, "This is my property." From initial stiffness and embarrassment, to slight resistance, and now… Suri seemed to have gradually become accustomed to it (or rather, numb?). He even found that when Yera's cool fingers, with a strange rhythm, gently massaged his tense temples or the back of his neck, the nerves that ached from the previous night's "overexertion" (as he unilaterally perceived) or inexplicable fatigue would actually feel much better.
However, beneath this seemingly peaceful, even somewhat "warm" daily routine, Suri was not entirely unaware of what was going on.
He was not dull-witted. On the contrary, from those vague fragments of memories of battle and survival in the "past," he possessed an almost animalistic intuition for changes in the atmosphere.
He could sense that although Enya's smile was still gentle, occasionally, when he inadvertently turned around, he would catch a fleeting glimpse of sadness and... tears in her eyes that she hadn't had time to conceal. That sadness was so heavy, as if it carried an unbearable weight, completely out of place with the peaceful and warm everyday scene before him.
He could sense that deep within Encia's always bright, joyful, and excited blue eyes, there would sometimes be a very subtle emotion, something like unease and...fear?, especially when she held his hand tightly or buried her face in his chest, murmuring, "Brother Su Rui, you have to stay with me forever." Those words didn't sound like a spoiled child; they sounded more like a fragile, tearful plea.
He could sense that even Jian, who was always expressionless and as still as an ice sculpture, seemed to have undergone a subtle change in his gaze. Occasionally, the sharpness and coldness in those icy blue eyes would fade, replaced by an extremely rare, almost...complex emotion, like scrutiny, or perhaps a silent confirmation. Especially when he paused briefly due to inexplicable physical discomfort (such as sudden dizziness or cold hands and feet), Jian's gaze would instantly become exceptionally sharp, as if assessing an ominous malfunction code on a precision instrument.
As for Yera… Yera’s gaze was always calm and unfathomable. But Su Rui felt that Yera’s gaze upon him was more… focused, more penetrating than ever before. Those golden eyes seemed not to be looking at his body, but to be staring at something more essential, something quietly slipping away. And when Yera touched him with her cool fingers, Su Rui sometimes had the illusion that the touch was not just comforting, but more like… confirming, confirming some kind of “real” existence, confirming that he was still “here.”
These subtle anomalies, like pebbles thrown into a calm lake, sent ripples of unease through Su Rui's heart. He wasn't without suspicion.
The abnormality in his body was the most direct signal. The occasional, inexplicable fatigue and weakness felt as if life force was being slowly drained from the deepest part of his body. His hands and feet were occasionally cold, a chill he felt even by the fireplace. And… what disturbed him most was that occasionally, in absolute silence, he seemed to “hear” or “feel” that certain parts of his body were emitting an extremely subtle, almost imperceptible, “flowing” sensation, like grains of sand silently slipping through the finest hourglass.
It is vague and elusive, yet it truly exists.
Combined with the sadness hidden beneath Enya's gentle gaze, and that almost "apocalyptic" urgency to seize every moment with him...
A guess, like a vine quietly sprouting in the darkness, began to entwine around Su Rui's heart.
Is his body... about to fail?
Is it like those old, broken machines, or a candle flickering in the wind, heading towards its final dissipation?
This thought wasn't new. From the moment he "awakened" and acquired this peculiar body, seemingly connected to the bloodline of a snow leopard, he had a vague feeling that this wasn't his "proper" form, but rather a chance, unstable "arrival." The wondrous, transcendent spiritual connection he shared with Enya seemed to corroborate this. His way of "existing" was inherently different from others.
Therefore, it is not hard to imagine that this body will reach its end.
But... as this speculation became clearer and more likely to become a reality, Su Rui didn't feel the panic or despair she had expected. Instead, she felt a strange calm and a hint of... understanding.
So that's why Enya looked at him with such sadness, why Enshia pleaded so anxiously, why Jian's gaze was so scrutinizing, and why Yera... looked at him with an expression as if checking the remaining grains of sand in an hourglass.
They all knew. Only he was kept in the dark.
This realization stirred a complex mix of emotions within Su Rui. He was a little angry, angry that they hadn't told him the truth, that they had treated him like a fragile being who needed to be carefully protected and kept in the dark about the harsh reality. But more than anything, he felt an indescribable…bitter tenderness.
Were they afraid of making him sad or scared, so they chose to fill these last moments with smiles and companionship?
That's why they indulged him so much, cherished every moment with him, and even... was Enxia and Jian's almost "nonsense" "sharing" that night also due to this "last" impulse to leave more marks?
Su Rui leaned against the window, watching the snow-capped peaks bathed in the golden-red light of the setting sun. His fingertips unconsciously brushed against the tiny ice crystals that had formed on the windowpane. The ice crystals melted rapidly under the warmth of his fingertips, turning into a single, cold droplet of water that slid down his fingers and disappeared.
Just like this body, it will eventually melt away and disappear, just like these ice flowers.
Should he ask? Ask Enya, ask Yela, ask them, is he about to "disappear"?
Su Rui opened his mouth, but swallowed the words back. He turned his head and looked into the bedchamber.
Volume 18, Chapter 1263: Warmth Isolated from the World
Enya sat on the low couch by the fireplace, holding one of Suri's old coats, carefully mending a barely visible tear in the hem by the firelight. Her profile appeared exceptionally soft and serene in the firelight, as if she were performing the most sacred work in the world. Enshia was curled up on the rug at Enya's feet, her head resting on Enya's knees, holding an open book, but her gaze wasn't on the pages; instead, she stared absently at the leaping flames, a faint melancholy on her face that was unlike her usual lively self. Jian stood in the shadows a little further away, arms crossed, her gaze seemingly fixed on the Enya sisters, yet also seemingly looking beyond them towards the window where Suri was. And Yera… Yera had appeared in the bedchamber at some point. She stood by the bookshelves, her fingers lightly tracing the gilded titles of the ancient books, her golden eyes seemingly piercing through the heavy spines, staring at a point in the void, her calm face revealing no emotion.
They are all there. In this warm, seemingly secluded twilight, they exist, accompanying each other, in an almost frozen state.
Suri looked at them, at Enya's gentle and focused profile, at the barely perceptible melancholy in Enxia's eyes, at Jian's silent, protective figure, at Yera's seemingly timeless tranquility...
The urge to pursue the truth in my heart melted away quietly, like thin snow exposed to sunlight.
"Never mind," Su Rui said softly to herself.
Since they don't want him to know, and since they've chosen to spend their "last" time this way, then he should just pretend he doesn't know.
Why tear down this fragile facade woven with tenderness and companionship? Why let sadness and fear prematurely erode the few remaining moments of peace?
Let them think that he knows nothing, that he is just an ordinary, slightly special "Brother Su Rui" who is pampered, accompanied, and even occasionally "bullied" by them.
Once this decision was made, the unease and heaviness in Su Rui's heart caused by the speculation seemed to lessen somewhat. In its place was a clearer impulse to "respond" in some way.
Since time might be running out, he wanted to do something. Not to hold onto things that were destined to pass, but... for those who loved him in their own clumsy yet tender way.
In the days that followed, Enya and the others also vaguely noticed some subtle changes in Suri.
He became...more "considerate." Or rather, more "compliant."
When Enshia excitedly brought over the knight storybook she'd read countless times, the one Suri could practically recite from memory, and squeezed next to him, her bright blue eyes gazing expectantly at him, wanting him to "tell the story of the knight defeating the dragon again," Suri no longer simply gave a perfunctory "hmm" or pretended to be asleep. He would take the book, and although his tone remained flat, even carrying a hint of barely perceptible helplessness, he would truly, word by word, use his uniquely cool and clear voice to tell the story he had long found childish and boring again. Occasionally, when Enshia excitedly interrupted because of a certain plot point, or asked some wildly imaginative questions, he would patiently respond with the shortest possible words, or, following her train of thought, offer an answer that, while still concise, was no longer so cold.
When Enya brought over her newly made herbal tea, supposedly with calming effects, the taste was rather strange. Previously, Suri would always frown and force himself to take a couple of sips before putting it down. But now, he would take the cup, sipping the strangely bitter yet sweet liquid slowly, even though his brow would still furrow slightly at the odd taste, he no longer refused. After finishing, he would even look up at Enya's slightly apprehensive yet expectant gaze and softly say, "...It's alright." Though only two words, they were enough to transform the apprehension in Enya's eyes into gentle joy, the smile on her lips seemingly capable of melting the snow outside the window.
When Yera reappeared silently behind him, gently pinching his beast ears with her cool fingers or brushing the skin of the back of his neck, Suri's body would still stiffen almost imperceptibly for a moment, his ears turning red, but he no longer tried to dodge or silently protest with his eyes as he had done before. He would turn his head slightly, and even occasionally, unconsciously, gently rub the tip of his ear or the top of his head against Yera's cool palm, as if in a silent, awkward acceptance. When Yera's kiss, carrying the scent of snow, landed on his forehead, cheeks, and even...lips like snowflakes (though it was only a very light touch), Suri would simply close his eyes tightly, his eyelashes trembling violently, his cheeks flushed crimson, but he would no longer struggle, allowing the cool touch and crisp scent to briefly invade his senses.
He even… softened his attitude towards Jian. Although they still rarely spoke, when Jian followed him like a shadow, or silently pushed dishes closer to him during meals, Su Rui would give her a barely perceptible nod or a glance as a thank you. Once, Enxia almost knocked over a heavy bronze candlestick while playing, and Jian caught it with lightning speed. Su Rui, standing nearby, instinctively reached out to block it. Although he didn't actually touch the candlestick, that instantaneous reaction and subtle body language made Jian's icy blue eyes seem to flicker slightly.
These subtle changes in Suri did not escape the eyes of Enya and the others who had been carefully observing him.
Enya watched, her heart brimming with bitterness and pity. She could see that Suri was trying his best to cooperate, trying to respond to their "cherishing" gestures, even... suppressing the occasional impatience and temper tantrums that belonged to a young man (like when Enya pestered him to tell the story for the tenth time). This silent tenderness hurt her more than any words, and made her realize more clearly that Suri might... have already guessed something. But he chose silence, chose to cooperate, chose to soothe their sorrow in this way.
This realization brought tears to Enya's eyes in the quiet of the night. Her Suri was always like this, seemingly cold and aloof, but in reality, her heart was softer than anyone else's, more...gentle than anyone else's, making one's heart ache.
Although Enxia was not as sensitive as her sister, she vaguely felt that her brother Suri seemed to have become "easier to talk to." He spent more time with her and would no longer get really angry at her "little actions" (such as secretly pinching his cheek or playing with his tail - the corresponding part). He would just give her a helpless look or gently slap her hand away.
Volume 18, Chapter 1264: Don't wake them.
This made Enxia even happier, and she clung to Su Rui even more, as if she wanted to pour all her joy and dependence into him during this limited time. Only occasionally, when Su Rui leaned against the window to rest because he was tired, and the sunlight fell on his peaceful sleeping face, casting a faint shadow under his eyelids with his long eyelashes, Enxia would feel a sudden panic in her heart for no reason. She would not be able to help but reach out and gently touch Su Rui's cheek until she felt the warm touch, and only then would she feel a little relieved.
Jian took in all these subtle changes. She remained silent, but watching Su Rui's increasingly "docile" behavior and the growing, undisguised sadness in En Ya's eyes, the complex emotions deep within her icy blue eyes seemed to deepen even further. Her protective stance became even more stringent, almost never leaving Su Rui's side, bringing her under her absolute vigilance, as if using this method to fight against the invisible, counting down "hourglass."
Yera… Yera remained calm and composed. But the length of time her gaze lingered on Suri seemed to increase. The frequency of her touches on Suri also seemed to rise. No longer just kneading his ears or stroking his hair, sometimes she would quietly pull Suri into her arms, without a word, simply feeling his warm body temperature and steady heartbeat with her slightly cool skin (though that heartbeat seemed a little weaker than before?). Her kisses, still as gentle as snowflakes, landed on Suri's forehead, eyelids, and lips, carrying an almost ritualistic, solemn meaning, as if confirming, marking,… saying goodbye?
Suri could sense the change in their gazes, the growing, almost tangible, tenderness and reluctance to part. But he said nothing, simply accepting it all more quietly. He accompanied Enshia to read those childish stories, drank the strange tea Enshia brewed, let Yera hug and kiss him, and accepted Jian's silent protection.
Days passed in this unspoken atmosphere, filled with silent tenderness and a touch of melancholy. The snow outside the window fell and stopped, stopped and fell again. The twilight on the sacred mountain remained magnificent yet desolate.
The inexplicable weariness and sense of "passing away" in Su Rui's body seemed to become... clearer with the passage of time. But he never mentioned it. Only occasionally, when he was alone, would he raise his hand, look at the sunlight outside the window, and quietly gaze at his fingers, which seemed almost transparent in the light. His eyes were calm, but deep inside, there was a trace of melancholy that no one could understand, a sense of relief that was almost resigned.
Yera's recent appearances have become astonishingly frequent. She no longer just appears occasionally, touching him with her cool fingers or quietly embracing him. She begins to sit for long periods by Suri's bedside, her golden eyes, like solidified amber, silently watching him sleep or stare blankly awake. Her touches have also become exceptionally gentle, no longer carrying that controlling connotation, but more like a silent comfort, and… a kind of almost compassionate affirmation that Suri cannot fully comprehend.
Su Rui could feel that the invisible hourglass of "existence" was nearing its final mark. The heaviness of her body and the lightness of her soul as if it were about to detach from her body intertwined, forming a strange, almost numb calm.
He knew it was time.
One afternoon, the sun, unusually, pierced through the clouds of the past few days, bathing the temple in a warm golden light. Enya, exhausted from days of tireless care, finally succumbed to fatigue and fell into a deep sleep on the low couch by the fireplace, her brow still slightly furrowed. Enxia, who had also barely slept the previous night while tending to Surui, was now curled up on the carpet at her sister's feet, her head resting on a soft cushion, also sleeping soundly, though her little hand still unconsciously clutched a corner of Surui's clothing. Although Jian's eyes remained open, the prolonged intense concentration had left an undeniable trace of weariness on her face. She leaned back in her chair, her icy blue eyes still fixed on Surui, but their focus seemed somewhat unfocused.
Only Yera remained conscious. She sat by the bed, her cool fingers gently and absently combing through Suri's silver hair, which had lost its former luster due to weakness and appeared somewhat dull. Her gaze rested calmly on Suri's face, her golden eyes seemingly reflecting an ancient galaxy, devoid of sorrow or joy, yet seemingly containing an endless, incomprehensible loneliness.
Suri slowly opened his eyes. His gaze no longer held the usual wariness, embarrassment, or weary bewilderment, but rather an unusually clear, almost transparent calm. He looked at Yella, his lips moved slightly, his voice barely audible, yet exceptionally clear:
“Yela…”
Yela paused slightly as she combed his hair. Her golden eyes met Suri's calm black eyes. She didn't speak, but simply looked at him quietly, waiting for him to continue.
“I… want to go out and see.” Suri’s voice was very soft, almost breathy, as if it might dissipate into the air at any moment. “The… snow outside.”
His request was simple, yet it caused a barely perceptible flicker in Yera's calm, golden eyes. Go out? In his current state, leaving this warm temple and exposing himself to the year-round frigid snow and winds of the sacred mountain…
Yera was silent for a moment. Her gaze seemed to pierce through Suri's frail body, seeing into the depths of his soul that almost stubborn, final wish.
Finally, she nodded almost imperceptibly.
She reached out, not to help him up, but as always, gently yet irresistibly lifted Suri from the bed. Suri's body was even lighter than before, as light as a feather, seemingly weightless. Yella carefully wrapped him in a thick, soft white fur blanket, revealing only his pale, almost transparent, yet unusually serene face.
She didn't disturb the sleeping Enya and Enshia, nor did she look at Jian, who seemed startled, instantly awake, and whose body tensed slightly. She simply held Su Rui, as if she were holding the most precious offering that was about to return to heaven and earth, and walked barefoot and silently out of the warm bedchamber, through the silent corridor, and pushed open the heavy and cold stone door leading to the outer platform of the temple.
A biting wind, carrying the fresh scent of snow, swept over them instantly, whipping up Yela's long silver hair and the fluffy edges of Suri's blanket. The summit of the sacred mountain was a pristine white wonderland, reflecting a dazzling, pure light in the afternoon sun. In the distance, snow-capped peaks stretched like the spine of a giant dragon; closer, the temple square and platform, covered in thick snow and utterly empty, lay before them. The sky was a vast, clear, almost washed-out azure, with a few wisps of thin clouds hanging silently like torn cotton wool.
Volume 18, Chapter 1265: Help Me
Extreme cold and extreme purity form the eternal keynote of this land.
Yera carried Suri to the edge of the platform, a spot overlooking most of the sacred mountain. A cold wind howled, whipping their clothes and hair. Yera slightly turned to shield Suri from most of the wind.
Suri leaned against Yela's cool yet firm embrace, his gaze quietly sweeping over this land where he had lived for a short time, yet it felt like an eternity. Snow-capped mountains, the vast sky, the silent wind. Everything was the same as when he "awoke"—cold, grand, and eternally unchanging.
He looked at her for a while, then turned his head slightly to look at Yela. His gaze was calm and focused, as if he wanted to etch this beautiful and serene face, which had witnessed countless years, into the deepest part of his memory.
“Yela,” Suri spoke again, her voice weak but clear in the wind, “can you do me a favor?”
Yela's golden eyes watched him quietly, without asking questions or doubting him, simply waiting.
"Lend me a little... of your power." Suri's voice was soft, with a strange, almost pleading tone. "Just a little bit."
Borrowing power? Yera's brow furrowed almost imperceptibly. Su Rui's current physical state was like cracked glass; any external intervention, even the gentlest divine power, could be the final straw that broke the camel's back, accelerating his "dissipation."
But Suri's eyes were so calm, so...knowing. He seemed to know what he was asking for, and what the possible consequences might be. Yet he still made the request.
Yera remained silent. Her golden eyes, like the deepest lake, reflected Suri's pale and serene face. The wind blew across her exquisite features without stirring a ripple.
After a long while, just when Su Rui thought she would refuse, Yela stretched out a hand.
She wasn't going to hug him, nor was she going to stroke him. A faint, almost imperceptible, icy blue light flickered at her fingertips. That light was pure and cold, as if it contained the oldest, most essential chill and vitality of this snow-capped mountain.
She gently touched Su Rui's brow with her shimmering fingertips.
There was no overwhelming power poured in, only a trace of extremely subtle, extremely pure, primordial divine power belonging to Yeragand, like the gentlest stream, silently flowing into Suri's almost exhausted body through that point of contact, merging into his faint soul fire that seemed to be extinguished at any moment.
Su Rui's body trembled almost imperceptibly as the pure and ancient chill entered his body. His face seemed to grow even paler, but a faint yet unusually persistent flame suddenly ignited in his black eyes.
"Thank you." He looked at Yela and gave an extremely slight, curved smile. It was a very faint smile, almost invisible, yet it seemed to have exhausted his last bit of strength.
Then, he closed his eyes.
He no longer looked at Yela, nor at the surrounding snow-capped mountains and sky. He focused all his attention on his body, on the wisp of icy blue divine power that he had just merged with.
He began to chant softly. It wasn't the language of Sherag, nor any language he knew. It was an ancient, tongue-twisting syllable, full of strange rhythm and power, like the crisp sound of ice and snow freezing, or the roar of a glacier moving deep underground. Each syllable uttered from his pale lips seemed to carry a thousand pounds of weight, making his body tremble slightly and his face even more translucent.
He was guiding, weaving, using the borrowed divine power of Yeragand, representing the origin of ice and life (tenacity in the bitter cold), as the catalyst and core, combined with the last bit of soul imprint and life force of his own soon-to-dissipate unique being "Suri," to cast a spell.
A final spell that he had never learned, yet seemed to be engraved in the depths of his soul.
Yera's golden eyes silently gazed at Su Rui, who was chanting with his eyes closed in her arms. She watched his life force rapidly draining away due to the spell, his body almost transparent, revealing the tiny blood vessels beneath. Her eyes remained calm, but the arms around Su Rui tightened almost imperceptibly. A faint, almost enlightened light seemed to flicker across her serene face. She seemed to understand what Su Rui wanted to do.
As Su Rui's faint yet persistent chanting emanated from him and Yela, a strange and gentle wave silently spread outwards.
At first, it was the snow on the edge of the platform that seemed to move slightly. Then, a tiny, tender green sprout, with incredible tenacity, pushed through the hard, cold permafrost and the covering snow, and tremblingly poked its head out.
Then came the second point, the third point... Countless tender green buds, as if receiving a silent command, burst forth wildly from the frozen soil atop the sacred mountain, a place where it was believed that almost no other plants could survive except for ice, snow, and moss! Ignoring the extreme cold and the thin air, they unfurled their tender leaves and pulled out slender stems with an almost miraculous speed.
Then, it blooms.
Not just one or two. They're everywhere, forming a sea.
Pure white, six-petaled flowers, sculpted like the purest snowflakes, with a faint icy blue halo around their edges, swayed gently in the cold wind. Pale purple, lavender-like spikes of small flowers emitted a cool and lasting fragrance. Clusters of tiny, pale yellow blossoms, like the warm winter sun, brought a touch of warmth and brightness. And then there were ice-blue, deep pink, light gold… countless other breathtakingly beautiful, hardy flowers whose names Su Rui couldn't recall. On this sacred mountain peak, on the platform and plaza outside the temple, even on the distant ridges and in the crevices of the rocks, they spread out instantly, like paint splashed freely by an invisible hand!
They are not illusions, but real, vibrant lives. They stand tall in the howling winds, bloom amidst the year-round snow, radiating vitality and an incredible, tenacious beauty. Coldness and warmth, stillness and splendor, achieve a strange and breathtaking harmony on this land ruled by eternal ice and snow.
A sea of flowers. A boundless, vibrant sea of flowers that blooms out of nowhere atop the sacred mountain, outside the Temple of Jeragund.
Volume 18, Chapter 1266: A Brief Time
The cold wind still blew, but it seemed to carry the fragrance of flowers. Sunlight shone down, refracting a mesmerizing rainbow of colors onto countless swaying blossoms. This once monotonous white world of ice and snow had, in this moment, transformed into a fairytale-like wonderland, a miraculous place filled with divine radiance.
Inside the temple, Enya and Enshia, who were fast asleep, seemed to be awakened by this strange and warm wave of life. They opened their eyes almost simultaneously, still looking dazed from just waking up. But when they felt the rich fragrance of flowers and the breath of life in the air, and heard the faint sounds outside, different from the howling wind and snow, that seemed to be the growth of all things, an indescribable premonition instantly gripped their hearts.
Enya suddenly stood up from the low couch, not even bothering to put on her outer robe, and staggered towards the palace gate. Enxia followed suit, her little face filled with fear and unease. Jian had already been alerted when the strange movement first occurred; she was a step ahead of the Enya sisters, her figure as swift as lightning, rushing towards the stone gate.
"Boom..."
The heavy stone door was pushed open from the outside. An even stronger fragrance of flowers and dazzling colors rushed in like a tide, instantly overwhelming their senses.
When Enya, Enshia, and Jian rushed out of the temple and stood outside the huge stone gate, they froze when they saw the scene before them, as if frozen by the coldest magic.
A sea of flowers. An endless sea of flowers blooming in the snow. Breathtakingly beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful...heartbreakingly beautiful.
In the center of that vibrant sea of flowers, on the highest platform, Yeragand stood quietly. She was still barefoot, her long silver hair swaying gently in the fragrant breeze. In her arms, she held that familiar figure wrapped in a white fur blanket.
Su Rui.
He leaned against Yera's chest, his eyes slightly closed, his face so pale it was almost transparent, as if he might melt into the sunlight at any moment. Yet, a faint, contented smile lingered at the corners of his lips. A very faint, icy-blue halo surrounded his body, subtly echoing the vast, icy aura emanating from Yera, or perhaps like the embers of his last breath, silently burning and blooming.
"Brother Su Rui—!" Enxia let out a shrill, tearful scream and was about to rush over without a care in the world.
"Don't go over there." Yera's calm voice, like the coldest icicle, instantly froze Enshia's steps. It also stopped Enshia, who was also about to rush over, and Jian, whose body was tense and whose eyes showed clear shock for the first time.
Yera's golden eyes calmly swept over the three of them, her gaze carrying an unquestionable, divine majesty, and a hint of... a sorrowful silence.
"Watch," Yela said, offering only two words.
Then, she lowered her head and looked at Su Rui in her arms.
