I saw some book friends say that the reset version is not as good as the first edition. I think it is because the tone before the reset was not as distorted and depressing as it is now.

The first version can be seen as the pure love between Hayashi Kazuma and Kato Megumi. The two got married, were very loving, and showed some candies, which might be very sweet.

But have you ever thought about why, when there was almost no description of the relationship between Hayashi Kazuma and Kato Megumi in the first four volumes, he was so devoted to Megumi as soon as they got married?

Did he like Hui so much before, far more than the other heroines?

Actually, it is not. The real reason is that Lin Hezhen has an obsession with the concept of "family".

He was nice to Kato Megumi not because he liked her, but because Kato Megumi was his wife and his family.

And this idea is morbid, which is the problem that this volume of The Inner Demon aims to solve.

In the case of the first edition, I couldn't solve this problem at all.

Because Lin Hezhen's will is already very strong, even I, as the author, cannot break the wall of his heart when he is in his normal state.

In the first version, I arranged for other female protagonists to try to attack him, but there was really no progress at all. He just had one attitude - no matter what you say or do, I can't betray my family.

Lin Hezhen himself was the biggest factor preventing him from starting a harem.

So how do you write this?

Even if I managed to finish telling the story, I still couldn't convince myself that Lin Hezhen had already gotten over his emotional problems and realized his love for the heroines, so he decided to be with them.

Writing like that would only result in a forced happy ending.

This is my first novel, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes, and it’s hard to read after subscribing to it now, and I also know that the best option is to abandon this book and start a new one immediately.

But I still hope to finish this book seriously, as a literature lover, because I will be a commercial writer in the future.

This is an opportunity to rethink things like love, marriage, and family, and through the deaths of the heroines, force him to face his feelings for them.

I know that the tone of this volume is very depressing, the relationships between the characters are very twisted, the cases are rather boring, and people keep dying, but Lin Hezhen is undergoing a tribulation, so it is natural that he has to suffer.

The H plots of the other heroines are no longer necessary in terms of structure, so I don’t need to write them later. But the first few are necessary in the plot, so I wrote them - I didn’t write H just for the sake of H.

This volume is not broken, you may feel out of control, but according to my volume outline, it is progressing normally. I will try to speed up the pace and strive to finish it in 15 words.
