"Ella Heviel—!!!"
Samael's voice was filled with suppressed anger, and his skin was radiating a blood-red flame.
“Actually, Sister Samael, I know you may have some misunderstandings about me, but I have now changed my ways and want to try to be a good person.”
Ella spread her hands. "So you see, why don't we sit down and have a proper talk first..."
"boom"
The girl's chattering voice, like a lark, was interrupted by an iron fist forged from molten fire. Rock and earth coalesced into a giant arm, which hammered Ella's petite figure into the mountainside with a single blow.
The ground shook violently, and spiderweb-like cracks spread from the large hole smashed into the mountainside, which then collapsed under the immense pressure.
Several tons of boulders fell like raindrops, billowing dust, but Samael did not give up. He simply picked up the fur cloak on the ground and wrapped it around his shoulders, his eyes watching the collapsing mountain turn into an eerie golden color.
His sharp gaze pierced through layers of rocks, instantly locking onto the spatial fluctuations hidden within the pile of rubble.
Just as Ella opened the portal and was about to run away, a huge spike covered in lava suddenly shot out from the ground beneath her feet.
"Wow!"
She immediately leaned back, and the scorching giant spikes shot into the sky along her chest, like a giant horn growing from the top of a volcano.
Having dodged that terrifying attack, before Ella could even catch her breath, Samael's fiery, golden eyes suddenly flashed out amidst the billowing black smoke.
Her clenched right fist, carrying immense force, slammed down on Ella's face.
But the moment the scorching fist touched the silver-haired girl, her upper body strangely disintegrated into several crows.
"quack"
As the black birds scattered and cried out noisily, Samael slammed his fist into the ground.
The surging force pierced through the mountain rocks, creating a huge fissure that stretched from the top of the volcano all the way down to the mountainside.
The collapsed mountain split open like a cooked chestnut, but unlike the resilience of a chestnut shell, the destruction of the mountain's rock structure caused the peak at the top to collapse violently.
Large boulders tumbled down, smashing nearby, bewildered little demons into a bloody pulp. The sheer scale of the commotion startled all creatures within a hundred miles.
On one of the half-broken mountain peaks, Samael stood atop a cloud of smoke, his piercing gaze sweeping over the flocks of birds flying in all directions.
Suddenly, a tremendous force that made her uneasy gathered above her head. Without any hesitation, Samael's figure instantly flashed to the side.
"Boom"
The crimson lightning descended from the sky like a giant dragon, smashing the mountainside to pieces.
Even though he dodged quickly, and the wind blew past, Samael still felt a tingling sensation as if an electric current had passed through his body.
Tiny red arcs of electricity crackled across her body, momentarily slowing her movements.
At that very moment, a crow spread its wings and slid down in front of her. The next instant, the air rippled slightly, and Ella's figure flashed into view.
Apparition!
Her slender right hand clenched into a fist, with eerie black flames swirling and coiling around it.
"boom"
A heavy punch landed squarely on Samael's chest, and the dark flames attached to his fist suddenly erupted.
A deafening roar echoed through the mountains, like a dark asteroid exploding on the mountaintop.
A strong wind burst forth and swept for miles, blowing the trees at the foot of the mountain askew.
"You hit me, I hit you, is that reasonable?"
Amidst the churning black flames, Ella smiled faintly, "Now you'll finally listen to me calmly... huh?"
The girl, who was chattering like a little bird, suddenly stopped halfway through her sentence, and a look of surprise flashed across her face.
But after the black fire and smoke dissipated, Samael's unharmed figure was revealed.
A pair of enormous wings engulfed in crimson flames unfurled from her back, her expression was chilling, and her left hand was tightly gripping Ella's punch.
Ella tried to pull her hand back, but it was as if it were cast in steel, and she couldn't move it an inch.
Then a cute smile appeared on her face, and she playfully stuck out her tongue.
"Hey, I was just joking. I'm actually quite generous... I don't think Sister Samael would hold a grudge, right?"
"You witch, I should really thank you for coming to your death!!!"
Samael let out a furious roar, his free right hand immediately unfurling a deep red magic circle.
She compressed a massive amount of crimson flames into her palm, and the immense magical power even distorted the space around her hand.
"Die!!!"
With a furious roar, Samael pressed the divine spell she had conjured in her right hand against Ella's chest.
However, Ella, whom she had grabbed, dodged away in that instant, her body brushing past the terrifying divine magic as she darted to the side.
"What……!?"
Samael was surprised at how Ella had dodged. He turned his head and saw that his left hand was only holding a severed arm that was still oozing mud.
The magic orb, imbued with immense divine power, pierced the sky, rolled across the ground, and expanded into a blood-red sun, stretching for miles and crushing the demon armies encamped along its path into dust.
"This is terrifying! Look, there's not even ashes left."
Ella, like a ghost, manipulated her wind magic to float to the side, observing the horde of demons on the ground screaming and fleeing in all directions like ants. "We're all girls, let's be gentle. Fighting and killing isn't good."
As she spoke, several tentacles sprouted from her empty right side with a "beep," intertwining and quickly weaving a new right arm.
"You damned earthworm!"
Samael had no desire to communicate with Ella at all; with a flap of his wings, countless fiery meteors flew out from behind her like a celestial maiden scattering flowers.
The soaring fireworks transformed into a net that enveloped Ella, who tumbled and weaved in the air like a nimble little fish, managing to slip through the dense web of fire.
"Shameless world-destroying witch, is all you can do is dodge like an eel?!"
Samael roared, "This is the level of an evil god who brings calamity to the world?!?"
"That's really hurtful. The world is a mess, and I'm the one who's always patching it up."
As Ella swam through the fiery meteors, she kept spouting nonsense, "Trust me this once, I really want to be a good person this time!"
"Look, even Ye Xiao has forgiven me. Why don't you put aside your prejudices and let's all work together to save the world!"
"Don't tarnish his name with your disgusting voice!!!"
However, upon hearing the name "Ye Xiao," Samael became even more ferocious, summoning a magic orb imbued with divine power and hurling it at Ella.
Of course, this wouldn't hit Ella, but it only made the demons running around on the ground suffer even more heavy casualties.
Chapter 52 Retreat is the Best Policy
Ella even wondered if Samael would wipe out her entire demon army if she continued to wander around here any longer.
But time was of the essence for her to delay any longer. Although they had just exchanged blows, less than a minute had actually passed since she was discovered.
But at this moment, the demons at the foot of the mountain have begun to organize their formation, and the auras of some obviously powerful high-level enemies are also rushing in from all directions.
And then there's Kronos. She remembered that this guy had the ability to seal off space. If she didn't leave soon, she might not be able to get away.
Of course, if she really can't leave, she can be resurrected using the limbs left elsewhere. However, the resurrection requires time to prepare the ceremony. With the great war in Loren's Western Frontier imminent, things might change if she's not there.
On the other hand, it would be a real shame to lose all the equipment I was carrying.
Moreover, Samael doesn't seem like someone who can communicate effectively; at least, given Ella's status, it's unlikely she could communicate well with him.
I want to knock him out and take him away... but at least for now, I'm not a match for this guy.
Before setting off, Ella specifically asked Greta what the powers of the Demon of Wrath were, but Greta wasn't quite sure either, because the Demons of Hell weren't all friendly to each other but were divided into several small groups, with Wrath and Sloth being another small group.
However, judging from the few exchanges just now, Samael seems to be able to sense signs of spatial fluctuations, but the teleportation illusion that can be activated instantly can only support short-distance flashes, while the spatial gate that can teleport long distances takes about two seconds from opening to forming a form that allows a human to pass through.
Therefore, Ella's current problem is how to buy herself this time.
As Ella pondered, she caught a glimpse of Cronus on a nearby hilltop, while on another cliff to its west, the Hydra's enormous body raised its massive head from the forest.
So, Ella, who was flying, immediately did a nimble roll to adjust her angle, put her hands behind her back and spit out two streams of black fire.
Like a seabird trailing a fiery tail, she drew a dark arc in mid-air as she burst out of the airspace bombarded by flames.
But Samael was not about to let Ella escape so easily. He spread his wings and shot off like a cannonball after Ella.
The two transformed into two shooting stars in the sky, one black and one red, intertwined and quickly falling to the ground.
Just as she fell into the forest below, Ella suddenly turned around, flicked her finger, and a bolt of crimson lightning burst from her fingertip.
The lightning bolt was incredibly fast, and Samael, who was right behind it, crashed into it head-on, with no time to dodge.
But she didn't need to dodge. Her hand, with its sharp nails, reached forward and grabbed the terrifying lightning bolt that carried an aura of destruction, crushing it with her bare hands.
"Crackling"
The overflowing arc of electricity exploded above the forest, but after the dazzling flash disappeared, Samael lost sight of Ella.
But she wasn't in a hurry. Her golden eyes swept across the surroundings in an instant, and she immediately spotted the spatial portal that had just been opened in the forest.
Without the slightest hesitation, she raised her hand and threw a magic ball over.
Samael didn't know any spatial magic, but the magic sphere that had gathered a large amount of divine power was enough to distort space, and the newly formed spatial rift in the distance was immediately torn into a mess.
Even though the nearby trees and rocks were blown to dust, Samael still couldn't spot Ella.
Where did that guy hide?
The moment Samael felt a sense of doubt, a large amount of black mud gushed out from the ground beneath his feet.
The filthy mud surged in from all directions, forming towering waves that crashed against Samael's body.
"Absolutely disgusting!"
Samael roared, his body bursting with crimson flames that burned away all the mud that had been poured down.
At the same time, another spatial fluctuation appeared not far ahead.
Samael immediately gathered divine power in her hand and was about to throw the magic ball in that direction, but unexpectedly, just as she raised her hand, a small head with long silver-white hair suddenly popped out from the mud covering the ground.
But then she saw her right hand transform into a pinkish-white wolf claw, which slammed into Samael's arm with overwhelming force.
The magic ball in the latter's palm immediately broke free from its restraints, deviating from its original trajectory and shooting diagonally into the sky.
Immediately afterwards, Ella spun around and delivered a side kick, her delicate instep slamming into Samael's left cheek.
"bang"
A muffled thud echoed through the forest, and the invisible wind pressure spread out in a spherical shape, snapping the surrounding trees in half.
However, the kick only slightly deflected Samael's head. Samael's eyes widened, his gaze almost murderous, and he swung a powerful punch back at Ella's wide-open abdomen.
But the instant he threw the punch, Samael regretted it.
Because she saw that Ella had already summoned a large number of tentacles piled together on her abdomen, she clearly anticipated that Samael would subconsciously retaliate against this opening she had deliberately created.
Even so, the demon god's violent force still managed to pierce through the tough tentacles, penetrating the girl's thin back and creating a hole that sprayed mud.
Ella was also sent flying upside down like a cannonball.
But this was part of Ella's plan. With a mix of pain and pleasure, she used magic to slightly control the wind swirling around her, adjusted the angle at which she flew out, and whooshed into the spatial portal that had finally taken shape not far away.
Amid Samael's deafening roar, Ella, with a large hole in her abdomen, tilted her head back, her crimson eyes curving into crescents, and mouthed a smile to Samael.
See you next time!
After speaking, Ella disappeared into the shrinking ripples of space.
"asshole!!!!!!"
The roar of the angry demon god echoed throughout the entire sea of trees.
……
After a while.
Kronos stood atop a hill, looking down at the cratered and ravaged land below, then raised his gaze forward and exhaled a smoke ring with a touch of melancholy.
Hydra, with its nine heads drooping, leaned against the mountainside, gazing with Cronus at the distant volcano, which was now only half-formed.
Not long after, a roar was heard, followed by a loud bang, the ground trembled, and the other half of the volcano collapsed.
Hydra then raised one of its heads, its huge eyes looking at Cronus.
