No PY today.

But please leave me alone!

Chapter 12. Threesome

Lani's words made Mia think for half the night.

Until the next morning, she looked worried.

Mia rubbed her hands to relieve the drowsiness from a sleepless night, and she figured it out, so she decided not to think about it anymore.

Although the riddle concerning herself is indeed of great concern, Mia does not have the ability to solve it now.

If she was really the offspring of someone as Lani said, then if she wanted to clear the fog, she would inevitably have to deal with other ceiling figures in the border area.

Mia is still too weak and powerless now.

At least I can see Melina first.

Maybe our dear little log knows something?

"When the house is on fire, I take pictures. When life is in chaos, I sleep~"

Mia, having gotten rid of her psychological burden, hummed a melody that was very familiar to her in her previous life.

"I don't know when disaster is coming. At worst, I'll just hang myself~"

Wilden: "You can't die by hanging yourself."

The light tune came to an abrupt end.

"No sense of humor..."

The soldier shrugged.

Neither Wilden nor Kale knew anything about the witch's visit last night.

Even though he saw the spirit-calling bell hanging around her waist, he didn't ask anything about it.

Even if asked, Mia was not going to tell them what happened last night.

Back to the morning.

Curry got up, ate something and started to clean up his pile of things.

"What do you want to do?"

Mia asked curiously.

"Of course, we should do what the nomadic people should do." Kale said as he put the noble sword he bought from Mia yesterday into his package.

"You want to leave? Where to go?"

"Because we have done business before, we can be considered business partners, so - huh." Kale packed up the branches and cloth for his tent and took a breath:

"I'm going north to Lienia. If you want to find me again, try your luck there. I hope fate will allow us to do business again."

"Ah!" Mia clapped her hands: "Isn't this a coincidence?"

"Ok?"

Wilden and Callie looked at her at the same time.

"We are also going north, to Stonevale. I think we can go together for a distance before we reach Storm Pass."

Curry hesitated.

Then he shook his head and continued to pack the rest of his things.

"I'm more used to being alone."

The wandering trader replied.

Mia didn't want to give up the opportunity to go with him: "Think about it, you are going to Lienia alone, and there are many dangers along the way. Who knows how many bandits there will be? At least we can provide you with some protection."

After thinking about it, Galileo realized that this was a good idea.

"Then let's make it clear in advance." Kale tied the bag to the donkey's butt and pulled the knot on the bag hard: "I didn't pay you to go with me. You wanted to go with me."

"That's natural~"

Mia said briskly.

Having one more companion in my journey is better than having no one at all, even if it is only temporary.

But Mia's main idea is...

Mia stared at Kale, or rather, at his donkey.

The homeless merchant who was still packing up felt a little scared when he was stared at. He couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Don't you have to pack up?"

"It's packed." Mia had already put the sleeping mat back into the four-dimensional backpack.

Then she chuckled and asked: "Can you rent out your donkey?"

-

"You need an attitude in life, and you need to live your life with attitude. Don't torture yourself with trivial matters."

Heartless songs echoed along the wilderness paths.

Mia rode on Calle's donkey (which cost her five hundred runes), Calle led the donkey, and Wilden, who was always fully armed, led the way for them.

Unfortunately, there is still one person missing.

Otherwise she could sing "You carry the load, and I lead the horse."

They were slowly approaching Storm Hill.

"I think we, the wandering people, are quite similar to you, the faded ones."

Kale was leading the donkey while talking to Mia.

"Oh?"

"We, the Nomadic People, have never been favored by the Golden Blessing since ancient times, so we are forced to travel around the world and live a hard life. In this respect, the Faded People and the Nomadic People are quite similar."

"The golden tree has not been inclusive to everyone since a long, long time ago." The girl's body swayed with the donkey's footsteps.

Kale nodded.

"I knew you could understand me."

He was silent for a moment, then said something more to Mia.

"Have you heard of the caravan?" Kale asked. Then, without waiting for Mia to reply, he answered himself, "I don't think you have heard of it. You must have been back to the border not long ago."

He shook his head somewhat disappointedly.

"Even we, a nomadic people, once had a place we called home. We called it the Great Caravan. But they have been gone for a long time. We have been looking for it for as long as I can remember."

Mia nodded, indicating that she understood.

Then after a while, she suddenly asked back:

"Why do you want to go look for it alone?"

"Ah?" Kale didn't understand what Mia meant.

The girl continued, "There are your people in various places in the border area, right? They are wandering alone like you. But why don't you act together? Although I understand that you are eager to find a large caravan, find your roots, and your family. But I think that for a person who likes solitude, even if he finds his home, it will only be a home without family."

The bell beads on the donkey's chest were shaking, and the crisp sound of the bells was like the chirping of birds, which could be heard from far away in the wilderness.

After listening to Mia's words, Kale held the donkey's reins and lowered his head looking at the dirt road under his feet.

There was silence for a long time, and the silence was broken by Currie himself.

"Maybe you're right."

"I should go find more tribesmen."

The girl nodded vigorously, feeling relieved that others had listened to her advice: "The more united we are, the stronger we are."

The three of them walked along the dirt road that seemed to have no end.

When the light of the golden tree is the most dazzling, it should be noon.

The sun was not visible, so she couldn't use "noon" to describe the current time.

I'm hungry again.

But the next blessing has not yet been seen.

"Cary, do you have anything to eat?"

"There are still some. I have to set up some traps before setting up camp tonight to see if I can catch some rabbits or squirrels. Otherwise, we will have nothing to eat in a while."

Because Mia was not used to eating dried meat, she got some dried roa fruit from Kale and paid for it.

Even brothers have to settle accounts clearly, not to mention that Kalie is a businessman.

After drying, the particularly sour fruits are extremely refreshing.

After walking and stopping for a while, it was already evening before they knew it. Among the three people, Mia, who was riding the donkey, was the most relaxed one.

But even when riding a donkey, her butt would sometimes hurt, so she got off and walked for a while while she was on the road.

"It's time to set up camp." Kale said after looking at the sky.

Mia still didn't see the light of blessing.

Wilden also stopped and said, "If we continue to walk this way, it will take us four and a half days just to get to the Storm Checkpoint."

"Not everyone is like you, the people of the golden tree." Kale rolled his eyes, probably mocking the tireless zombie.

Wilden didn't want to argue: "If you want to camp, then camp. You might encounter bats if you travel at night."

"Would you mind starting a fire? I'm going to set some traps under the trees."

"Go."

Mia waved.

She will help look after Currie's donkey and luggage.

Kale came back soon without any danger, and Mia lit a bonfire.

Lighting a bonfire was not a difficult task for her at all. She found that the only useless thing in the tool bag that Curry sold her was the flint.

Just collect some dry firewood and hay, Mia can start a flame from her fingertips, and then, there is a bonfire.

"You still don't want to rest?"

After nightfall, Wilden was already sitting quietly by the campfire with his equipment, just like he had done the night before.

"I think you should just leave him alone." Kale, who was already lying on the floor, turned around and faced the soldier. "Someone has to keep watch."

The merchants seemed to have always had some kind of prejudice against the people of the Golden Tree. Throughout the day today, Kale and Mia talked about many things, but they didn't say a word to Wilden.

The first night of the trip was a very peaceful one.

However, Mia still didn't sleep well. She was still not used to the feeling of camping.

The next morning, early in the morning, the sound of Kale getting up woke up Mia who was sleeping. He went to the trap he had set the night before and caught a rabbit and a squirrel.

Mia lit another fire and helped Kale deal with the prey.

"Will you ride the donkey again today?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll give you a 50% discount." Kale said, "You helped me a lot last night. It's really more convenient to travel with a few people than alone."

"The credit for the vigil goes primarily to Wilden."

"Uh-huh."

The businessman said perfunctorily.

He stamped out the campfire.

The three of them packed up and continued on their way.

“Does your donkey have a name?”

The donkey's steps still made Mia's body sway.
