I, V, Gotham Legend
Page 166
The strong man's facial muscles twitched as if he was trying to prevent a scam. He stretched out his arms hard, wanting to give the police a hard blow to prove that what he said was true.
But Valerie had already taken action. She waved her arms, and the sturdy man felt as if there was a flash in front of his eyes as if it were an illusion.
The sturdy man didn't know what the woman was doing. He just felt warm water suddenly sprayed on his face from the left like a fountain. He lowered his head and saw that the arm that was strangling the policeman had disappeared.
The neatly cut severed arm spurted blood like a water pipe, staining the policeman's uniform red in the blink of an eye. The strange and horrifying amount of bleeding made the strong man's face pale.
Although it is unknown how it is done, Valerie's single molecule line will cause bleeding effect when it hits a person.
The policeman was so frightened by the sudden blood splatter all over him that he was stunned for a long time and didn't even realize that he had escaped.
"Ah!!!" The belated pain made the strong man scream, awakening the policeman who was still in a daze. He grabbed the strong man's remaining half arm and pressed him to the ground.
In the blink of an eye, the situation was reversed and the strong man had lost the ability to fight back.
"Be careful of your own safety and don't get caught again." Valerie handed the police a pistol, then jumped over him and jumped back into the sky.
The young policeman wiped the blood off his face with his sleeve and stared blankly at Valerie's back as she flew towards the ship.
"Have you forgotten me..." Police Officer Rogge sighed with disappointment and melancholy.
……
The seawater poured into the gap very quickly and the ship was gradually sinking. Alarms were sounding everywhere in the cabin and red signal lights illuminated the corridors.
Jim Gordon finally walked through the long and narrow cabin corridor and came to the room where Bane was imprisoned.
Bane was still lying on the wheeled bed, his chaotic eyes staring at the ceiling unconsciously, his body wrapped in circles of iron sheets.
Gordon opened the door, holding the gun Helena handed him, his heart pounding.
Although he had overestimated the opponent as much as possible, the offensive and scale of Bane's remnants were far greater than Gordon had imagined. This was no longer a standard that could be achieved by simple mercenaries.
There were several policemen in riot gear guarding the room, with anxious looks on their faces.
The sirens were louder than the school bell. If Gordon hadn't given the order to respond, the group would have probably run away long ago.
"Director, there is a report from below that it is estimated to be three minutes before it completely sinks."
"Did they calculate it by jumping into the sea?" Although his tone was harsh, Gordon still ordered his men to push Bane out.
The police helicopter was ready to land on the deck at any time, but for safety reasons, they just hovered over the ship.
Before Gordon returned to the cabin, many thugs had already climbed onto the deck. He gripped his pistol tightly, knowing that a fierce battle was about to begin.
Gordon led the team in front, and several policemen pushed Bane, and a group of people walked out of the cell nervously.
However, just a few steps out of the cell, the police officers were forced to stop as they saw a group of fully armed men walking towards them.
The leader was a big man. Even though the weather had warmed up a lot now, he still wore a cotton coat with a fur collar. There was an arrow tattooed on his dark skin, protruding from his neck.
Behind him was an obviously Asian woman, wearing a black leather jacket and leather pants, with long, graceful hair falling to her waist.
"Just as you said, the boss is here." The big man saw the demented Bane and his eyes lit up with surprise, then he showed a look of grief, "How did you become like this? Have these cops been abusing you?"
"Who are you?" Gordon had already guessed who it was because he led Bane's army and had a unique appearance, but he still had to ask.
"My name is Big Bird, and I'm Bane's second in command!" Big Bird said arrogantly, "Hand over Bane. You know you have nowhere to turn, right?"
Gordon didn't say another word. He immediately raised his hand and fired, catching most people off guard. If the woman behind him hadn't kicked Big Bird in advance, he might have been shot in the leg and fell down.
"Stupid thing, if you are not sure, don't stand in front." The black-haired woman scolded the big bird.
"Open fire!" Gordon gave the order directly to the police behind him.
The actions of the remnants of Bane fully meet all the definitions of terrorists. It is no longer the time to consider humanitarianism.
Big Bird immediately stepped back and hid behind his subordinates holding riot shields: "Don't just stand there and watch, fight back!"
For a moment, both sides fired at each other tacitly. In order to ensure safety, Gordon turned Bane's direction and let his wheelchair, which was stronger than the cell door, face the thugs. He and his men hid behind the riot shield and wheelchair, like raising a wall.
In the middle of the battlefield amidst the hail of bullets, there was only a woman in black clothes and black hair standing, and she seemed not afraid of being hit at all.
She casually glanced at the people on both sides, then jumped forward, stepped onto the wall as if she knew martial arts, leaped onto the ceiling, and landed nimbly behind the policemen.
Gordon reacted the fastest. He quickly raised his gun and aimed at the woman, but the woman had already stood next to him and put her arm behind him.
NO44. The legend appears!
"Chief!" Gordon was restrained, and the police officers immediately panicked.
"I can handle it, just do your job!" Gordon ordered immediately.
The hand that was turned away was still holding the gun, pointing at the ceiling in a disorderly manner. The woman seemed to have some skills, pressing down on Gordon's joints tightly.
Gordon struggled twice but to no avail. The awkward position of his joints made it difficult for him to exert force. He changed his mind and pulled the trigger of the pistol in his hand.
The pistol made a clicking sound like a whirlwind. Gordon felt like he had heard this sound before, and he loosened his finger on the trigger.
A white beam of light spurted out from the muzzle, and Gordon could feel that the terrifying power and heat were more like a cannon than a pistol.
The bullet penetrated the ceiling and hit the wooden board above as if it had been exploded. A large amount of debris fell from the sky like meteors.
The woman let out a click of her tongue. Instead of breaking Gordon's neck, she pushed Gordon forward with her hands and did several backflips to avoid the falling rocks.
Gordon staggered forward a few steps, trying to steady his feet so as not to bump into the men in front of him who were still firing their guns. He turned around and glared angrily at the always elegant woman.
"Who are you?" Gordon pointed his gun at her.
"I thought the Gotham Police Department already had information about me." The woman clapped her hands. "In the name of the great devil, I am Shiva."
"Shiva?!" Gordon was extremely shocked. "After lurking in Gotham for so long, you finally showed up?!"
It sounded like she had been causing trouble in Gotham for a long time. Siwa felt puzzled. If it weren't for Resho Aogu's order, she would never return to Gotham in her life.
But she could not escape the blame for coming here in person today, for according to Lei Xiao Augu, she seemed to have done a lot of fruitful exploits, and although he did not know what they were specifically, Lei Xiao attached great importance to it and gave the most elite shadow warriors to Shiva's command.
"Human hands and feet are no match for guns, so you'd better surrender!" Even though he had just been captured at close range in a hail of bullets, Gordon still shouted in a businesslike manner, not only trying to intimidate Shiva, but also to reassure the men behind him.
Xiwa smiled disdainfully: "If it wasn't your turn to leave, you would have died just now."
Gordon knew that words were useless, so he cocked his pistol and pressed his finger on the trigger to charge.
Shiva suddenly rolled to the side and jumped to Bane who was tied up like a fish. Gordon had no choice but to shoot in advance. The kinetic energy bullet pierced the air, brushed past Shiva's body, and hit the wall behind her.
The wall was cracked layer by layer, and a bowl-sized hole was created as if a window had been opened.
"You've seen my skills, right? How could I be hit by a bullet!" Shiva laughed, his tone filled with disdain for long-range weapons.
She had already stood next to Bane, so Gordon's orders were of no use no matter how important they were. Many police officers who had noticed the situation here had already turned their guns away.
Unexpectedly, Shiva did not push Bane away immediately, nor did she untie the steel cables on Bane - she had no means to untie them.
Shiva pulled out a syringe gun from his arms, and in the test tube behind the syringe was swaying a green, crystal-clear liquid.
"This is a reward from the devil." Shiva hid in front of Bane, staring down at Bane's lifeless eyes, and then stabbed Bane's neck with the test tube gun.
The green liquid flowed into Bane's veins, and his body seemed to be familiar with the feeling, without even a subconscious twitch due to the pain.
The blood vessels and skin turned green, Bane breathed heavily through his nose, and veins on his neck bulged.
"I really want to see the effect here." Shiva seemed very excited. "But we have to leave quickly, it will be troublesome if that woman comes over."
Before Shiva entered the cabin, V was still killing people on the sea, so it would take a lot of time to get here.
Although he didn't know what Shiva had injected into Bane, Gordon knew that he could not delay any longer. He raised the gun and was about to charge it, but his hand suddenly froze and an incredible expression appeared on his face.
"Huh?" When Shiva saw Gordon's surprised expression, her face immediately became solemn. She had a bad premonition.
Following Gordon's gaze, she looked back and saw a delicate face that she would never forget peeking out from the hole in the wall behind Siva that was pierced by Gordon's energetic bullet.
Valerie blinked her big watery eyes, and her yellow pupils sparkled with the light of seeing her favorite toy.
"Isn't this Ms. Shiva? I miss you so much!" Valerie's small hands reached out to the hole in front of her face, tearing away the cracked wall like tearing apart iron sheets.
Ms. Siva, who had just been gracefully teasing the police chief amidst the hail of bullets, seemed to have seen an extremely evil ghost. Her hair stood up on end and she retreated in two steps at a time.
"Did you make an appointment? You actually took a shortcut here, how despicable." Shiva cursed.
Valerie raised her eyebrows in surprise. She happened to see a bullet piercing through the outer wall of the ship while she was outside, so she rushed over following the sound.
But she didn't say much. With the tremendous force of her recently strengthened arm prosthesis, Valerie forcibly opened a door for herself, and the jet pack lifted her body into the cabin.
The scene of breaking the wall with bare hands was so shocking that even the terrorists and police who noticed this were shocked.
Valerie landed in front of Shiva and approached him step by step.
Shiva was ready to fight, but by now she knew she was no match for V.
Half a year ago, Valerie could be beaten to the point of being helpless by her, but now this woman was tearing open the metal wall in front of her.
"How are we going to settle the score now?" Valerie approached Shiva eagerly, but when she passed by the tied Bane, she suddenly stopped.
Afterwards, it was difficult for Silva to see what was happening with his dynamic vision. He could only hear the sound of metal being torn and the crisp sound of steel colliding.
When he came to his senses, Bane, who had been lying helplessly on the wheeled bed just now, had already torn off the steel chains on his body. His body swelled again, and his fist as big as a casserole was in front of V, but it didn't get any closer.
Valerie raised her left hand and grasped Bane's wrist. Both of their arms were shaking at the same time, but Bane's fist could no longer move forward even a bit.
Veins bulged on Bane's arm muscles and he glared at Valerie with hatred, the previous stupidity no longer in his eyes.
"It's working faster than I thought." Shiva had already leaned against the wall, and when he saw Bane sitting up, he breathed a sigh of relief.
NO45. Smart, but not completely smart
Bane's fist was clamped, but he still trembled as if he was refusing to admit defeat. He breathed out white, turbid air, and veins bulged on his forehead.
"You've become much stronger," Valerie exclaimed.
Today, Valerie's physical ability has reached twenty, making her a well-deserved humanoid Gundam. Even so, she still feels a little strenuous.
Bane's facial muscles twitched and twisted like water, and he looked as if he was enduring some pain.
Valerie felt that the arm she was holding no longer had the desire to attack, so she let go of it.
Bane took a few steps back, took a heavy breath, then raised his head and roared.
Bane's muscles were cramping and his bones were crackling. He tilted his head back and his body had visibly grown bigger.
The sudden expansion of his body made him cry out in pain, but it was obvious that Bane himself was not feeling well either.
After adjusting his posture, Bane lowered his head again, his angry eyes crossed Valerie and stared coldly at Siwa: "What did you inject me with?"
Apparently, Bane remembered what happened when his intelligence was impaired.
"You need these. We came to rescue you, not to bring back a burden." Shiva was far away, but he still answered Bane in a condescending manner. "And the side effect is just deformation. Don't you like to become stronger in this way?"
Bane gritted his teeth and endured the pain. His shoulder swelled as if something was about to break out of its shell, and his muscles bulged with blood.
"What did you do to the boss? This is different from what we agreed!" The big bird who had been paying attention to this side shouted to Shiva in dissatisfaction.
"We just agreed to cure Bane's brain, but we didn't say how." Shiva said indifferently.
Bane bared his teeth and drooled uncontrollably. He suddenly stomped his feet so hard that the whole ship shook with his movement.
The ship was already sinking gradually. Perhaps it was an illusion, but with Bane's actions, the feeling of sinking became obvious.
"I'm going to kill you... Nothing else matters, I should kill you first!" Bane seemed to have finally suppressed the pain in his body. He glared at Valerie with hatred, then jumped up suddenly.
Valerie looked at the yellow saliva floating out of Bane's mouth, as if she could smell the smell of corrosion. For a moment, she did not dare to block it with one hand as she did before. She dodged to the side and watched Bane pounce past her and hit his head against the wall on the other side.
As Bane attacked, the whole ship shook violently. Even the police and thugs who were still shooting at each other couldn't help but stop. They looked at Valerie and Bane.
Bane held onto the wall with both hands and pulled his head out, then turned around and stared at Valerie again.
"You guy, your IQ hasn't recovered much!" Valerie, whose intelligence has greatly improved, sneered condescendingly.
Bane seemed to have been hit in a sore spot. He was completely furious and rushed towards Valerie again. Every step he took was heavy on the floor, causing the wooden floor to crack like glass.
Bane threw out with his right fist and rushed in front of Valerie. This time Valerie did not dodge. She stretched out her hand to block Bane's punch again. The huge force made her slide back a big step, but she straightened her legs and still held on.
Bane had inexplicably become much more powerful than he had been the last time they fought, but Valerie had also become much stronger in the intervening months.
Bane knew that a contest of strength would not have any good results, so he raised his right leg and stomped hard on the floor in the direction of Valerie.
The wooden floor was already riddled with holes, and this blow shattered it like a shock wave, revealing the space downstairs that was being flooded. Valerie's feet lost their floor, and she lost her fulcrum, and was forced to float in the air by holding onto Bane's arm.
Bane seized the opportunity and didn't give Valerie the chance to make any other moves. He retracted his foot and stepped on the floor behind him, then lunged forward.
Bane and Valerie ran into the hole in the wall that Miss V had opened with her own hands, further creating a big hole. The two rushed outside together and into the sea.
