I, V, Gotham Legend

"You go ahead and shower first. Talk to me while you're showering." Valerie built a shower cubicle the size of a toilet cubicle, pushed Harley in, and closed the door. "I've installed lighting and baking supplies in there. Try to be quick."
"Okay, okay...can I put on some makeup?"
"No time." Valerie was speechless.
"At least let me put on some foundation, I brought my own." Harry said, and the sound of water was heard in the small house.
Daredevil was standing at attention against the wall, with his back to this side, and he couldn't even turn on the sonar. Two-Face looked at the charred wall and started to yell again: "Can I change my posture? My legs are a little sore."
The two girls ignored him. They were casually standing in front of the BOSS's door like students preparing for a trip. One was taking a shower, the other was making clothes. If you only looked at them, you would feel that they were extremely harmonious.
Valerie worked quickly. According to Harry's request, she made a red and black leather jacket that looked like a fusion of the hearts and spades in a playing card.
She threw the clothes through the crack in the door into the bathroom, and after some rustling, Harry pushed open the door.
A slim girl walked out of the bathroom. Harley was not wearing a helmet. Her blonde hair was tied into two cute ponytails. With her deliberately pale face makeup, she looked like the king in a playing card.
Seeing Harley walk out of the room, Valerie squinted for a moment, then suddenly realized: "Are you Harley Quinn?"
"What a weird name? My name is Harley Quinn," Harley emphasized.
"Okay, Harley, are you sure you don't want to wear the mask?" Valerie pointed at Harley's shoulder, where there was a switch. When pressed, Harley's head would be wrapped and protected.
"No! That's too ugly. If the situation requires, I'll put it on." Harry emphasized, "I can't wait to knock someone up. Do you have anything else to say?"
"..." Valerie was really busy. She gently looked past Harley and looked at the situation in the bathroom behind her.
The bathroom that Valerie built has a drying system, so it's already very dry inside.
Valerie turned around and pressed the remote control at Daredevil.
Daredevil turned around with his hands and feet together and walked towards Valerie and the others.
"Let's go fight the BOSS, you hide here." Valerie pointed at the bathroom and instructed the Two-Face Man.
"This room?" Two-Faced Man widened his eyes. "It's too small!"
"..." Valerie was silent for a moment, but still let the two-faced man walk in. "You may need this."
"Hey! You're not really going to lock me up here, are you?" The two-faced man's words no longer had the arrogance of the past. He looked panicked and vulnerable.
Valerie didn't say anything else. She mercilessly closed the door and locked Two-Face inside: "I'm going to thaw your body. Good luck."
As she spoke, Valerie pressed the remote control towards the bathroom one last time, then put it back into her pocket and walked to the blown-up corridor with a cold face.
"Is he okay?" Harley walked over to Valerie and said in an inexplicably normal tone, "I think he seems to have some psychological trauma."
"I've had psychological trauma before." Valerie looked at the bottomless abyss under the broken corridor, "This is a road. If it doesn't work, then we can change it later, but at least we have to go through it once."
"...I don't quite understand." This time it was Harley's turn to think about Valerie's logic, "Are you talking about Daredevil or this corridor?"
"..." Valerie didn't answer. She raised her hand, "Be prepared to fall. We are coming over here."
"Fall and get hurt..." Harley looked up in confusion and saw Valerie grabbing her head.
"Go!" Valerie shouted, and threw Harry out like a shot put.
NO102. Poison Ivy
There was no defense in front of the final gate, but just by standing in front of it, you could smell the fresh scent of the plants inside.
Valerie gave Harley a pill to heal her injuries from the fall, and they checked their bodies one last time before kicking down the church-like door together as if they were challenging a rival.
Unlike the dense vines I had imagined before coming here, there were not many vines in this room, but it was filled with people.
These people did not have the sallow skin of the people outside before. They looked no different from normal people, and even wore various clothes, like doctors' white coats or patients' hospital gowns.
If they hadn't all been strangely kneeling on the ground, looking at a huge tree at the deepest part of the room like pilgrims, Valerie would have thought they had walked into the wrong room.
Valerie looked around the eerily quiet room and winked at Harley behind her.
Harley immediately stepped forward and yelled across the room, "Ivy? Are you there?"
“Harley!” an ethereal female voice sounded, echoing throughout the room, like the whisper of a god, “You shouldn’t be here.”
"There's no right or wrong. You sound like a villain in a cheesy play." Harry said, waving the water pipe in his hand. "Come out and let me see. I promise I won't hit you."
"You can't see mine."
Valerie stepped forward and said, "We are already here, and you have nowhere to run. You should cooperate. We are not the police."
"...No, you can't see it." As he spoke, the giant tree deep inside began to shake, causing the entire room to vibrate. In the sky and on the ground, all kinds of vines stretched out like branches and leaves.
The two girls then realized that what was in the distance was not a giant tree, but an extremely thick vine.
Pink but huge flowers bloomed on the many branches of the vine, and the roots of the flowers trembled as if they were about to spray something out.
"Be prepared and watch out for her pollen spray." Valerie said to Harley behind her and took out her flamethrower.
But she was a little suspicious. Why were the flowers that were spraying pollen so far away from the ground?
As if to answer her question, the flowers in the sky bloomed, and a series of spherical spores as big as human heads were sprayed out like a machine gun, rushing towards the ground with the momentum of breaking the wind.
Valerie lifted the flamethrower onto her shoulder and swung her other hand, releasing a whip of light from her wrist.
Valerie swung her hand into the air, and the whip was like a protective shield, shattering the spores that were coming from almost all directions into pieces.
The few spores that slipped through the net didn't even touch the two women, but hit a person in a hospital gown very far away. Just like seeds that got soil, the spores penetrated into the person's body and quickly took root and sprouted.
Soon, plants like monsters sprouted out of this person's body, and blood, along with tissues and organs, looked extremely disgusting from a distance.
Even Harley, whose mental state was already not very normal, was frightened by this bizarre death. She couldn't help but shout, "You're too cruel, aren't you, Ivy?"
"You left me no choice." Ivy's voice was very calm. "Harley, let's go. The woman next to you should stay and pay for her life, but you can still leave."
"I won't sit there and wait for death. At least let me beat you up first." Harley laughed morbidly. She picked up the water pipe and suddenly rushed towards the crowd kneeling on the ground.
"Alas..." Ivy's ethereal sigh echoed in the room, "Then you should all die here together... Kill them! The winner can get my kiss."
As Ivy officially broke off the fight, the people kneeling on the ground suddenly stood up, and they all looked at the two of them with green eyes.
"Hahaha! Home run!" Harley laughed and threw the water pipe at the nearest person.
However, this group of people were obviously different from those encountered outside. They stretched out their hands nimbly and there was no dullness in their eyes.
There were so many of them that even with Harley's enhanced battle suit, she still had a hard time among so many people.
However, the fact that Harley was able to contain these minions was a great help to Valerie. She looked at the huge vines deep in the room, dropped the flamethrower, and pulled out single molecule lines with both hands at the same time.
"Your location must be related to this thing, right?" Valerie shouted, throwing a single molecule line at the vines.
Countless tentacles extended from the trunk of the giant vine like cell division, wrapping around the trunk layer by layer, making the already huge vine even bigger, even as thick as the revolving door in a hotel.
Valerie's single-molecule line hit the vines wrapped outside, cutting a large piece like a sickle for cutting leeks, and green juice spurted out, some of it fell to the ground, and some splashed on several controlled people near the vines.
The controlled person and the floor made a noise like vaporizing and corroding. The harsh sound made Valerie frown.
"Are you treating these controlled people as hostages? This trick won't work on me..."
"You hurt my child!" Ivy screamed. "How many more strokes do you want to add to your sins?!"
Valerie was so confused that she was speechless for a moment.
The severed part of the vine slid to the ground, and flowers naturally grew in the remaining gap, with the tightly closed buds swelling towards the room.
"Let's just burn all these things." Valerie sighed and picked up the flamethrower again.
"No, my baby is filled with highly reactive gases. If you ignite everything, the explosion will take out everyone in this room." Ivy's voice emphasized.
"What gas? In the plants? Are you serious?" Valerie didn't believe it, but still didn't pull the trigger.
"Let's take a gamble. Even if setting my child on fire will kill all the innocent people under my control, it will also kill me successfully." Seeing Valerie hesitate, Ivy finally said as if she had found a slight advantage.
"Kill you?" Valerie suddenly raised her head with an expression of sudden realization: "So you are still here, right?"
"What did you suddenly say?"
"If I were you, when I have the means of remote control and my opponent is much stronger than me, I would definitely distance myself from the enemy first unless I am sure of a comeback." Valerie thought of the Metropolis War a month ago. If the Kryptonians were not too fast to be shaken off, she would not have risked fighting them in close combat.
"What do you want to say?"
"The ability to control vines is very suitable for escaping, but you would rather die with me than leave here. Why is that?" Valerie stared at the giant vines at the deepest part, as if she was looking at Ivy. "Or put it another way, why did you ask so many people to kneel here?"
Asking inappropriate questions on the battlefield seemed like stalling for time, but Valerie took the initiative to give her guessed answer: "You can't leave here, and you may be bound by something, right?"
NO103. Reverse thinking, right?
The plants seemed endless, and she had stuffed them with active gases as if they were bombs.
Rather than cutting a few plants back and forth like cutting leeks, it is better to find the mastermind first.
Valerie turned on the scanning vision. If she wanted to find the target's location, it would be best to start with the voiceprint.
"Let's start playing hide and seek. Let me guess where you are." As she said that, Valerie once again swung the single-molecule wire in her hand and slashed at the giant vine in front.
"I won't allow you to hurt my children again!" Ivy said, and the vines slapped down like a giant's palm, looking like towering ancient trees that had been chopped down.
Valerie's single-molecule thread only cut through the hundreds of vines protecting the vine's epidermis, but failed to prevent the vines from falling on her head.
She took a breath, somersaulted to the side, letting the vines hit her original position, and then she jumped onto the vines with a big jump.
The vines hit the ground, causing the entire room to shake. Even Harley, who was happily knocking people aside, almost lost her balance.
The floor tilted and all kinds of debris slid down the slope.
"We should have done this a long time ago!" Ivy's voice sounded as if she had solved some annoying problem.
"I'm still here." Valerie replaced her single-molecule line with a mantis knife and pierced into the vine's epidermis.
The mantis knife was very effective. Cutting through the vine's hard skin was as easy as cutting butter. Green juice splashed out and landed on Valerie's clothes and face, and a small cloud of white smoke rose.
Realizing that Valerie was still on him, the vine twisted like a maggot, its huge body thrashing back and forth on the floor, and the world shook with it.
Valerie deftly used the mantis blade to change her position on the vines, and luckily she was not swatted to the ground like a mosquito.
She climbed with determination to the top of the vine, where there was a huge bud that could wrap around the next person.
"Stay away from there!" Ivy realized where Valerie was staring at, and she ordered fiercely.
The vine no longer swung in vain, but stood up straight, making itself as steep as possible. Valerie climbed the vine as if she was climbing a tall building.
Thinner branches sprouted from the main vine trunk, winding toward Valerie like snakes, each with a flower ready to spray spores.
Valerie estimated the distance between herself and the flower bud, stood up with the knife that had pierced the vine, and with her other hand she pulled out a single molecule line and threw it upward like a lasso.
The single molecule thread was wrapped around the base of the top bud like an ordinary rope. Valerie kicked the branch under her feet and swung directly on the single molecule thread. She skipped the branches that tried to entangle her and swung a few times like a flying swing in an amusement park.
The single-molecule wire was wrapped around the base of the flower in circles, like iron wire wrapped around a piece of pork.
The huge flower was like a chopped-off head, its thick roots were strangled and the flower bud fell to the ground like a human head.
The remaining part that looked like a broken neck began to spew out a large amount of gas as if it was leaking. After coming into contact with the light on the ceiling, it ignited like natural gas, and a flame rose in the air, illuminating the greenhouse on the top and the rainy day outside.
Fortunately, Ivy didn't want the vine to explode, so the huge vine retracted its head like a snake.
The single molecule thread strangled the flower and thus lost its attachment point, and Valerie went from swinging in the sky to floating in the sky.
She shook her hands, and a hang glider appeared on her back. She circled back to the ground and landed next to the flower bud that lay on the ground like a fruit.
The floor was full of cracks due to the twitching vines, and it even tilted inward, giving it a shaky feeling.
"There really is active gas." Valerie looked up at the sparks in the sky that were gradually dissipating.
This active gas that can be produced from plants can even be used as a new energy source if handled properly, which is another way to make money.
The fire burned for a while and then returned to silence. Valerie lowered her head and looked at the flower bud in front of her that was big enough to hold her.
She put away the single-molecule wire, and a mantis knife popped out from her arm, stabbing into the tightly wrapped petals like cutting an egg.
"Let me see if you are here." She muttered to herself as she peeled off the petals.
The vines behind her pressed towards her again, but Valerie was much faster. The petals were like a cut open belly, with the structure inside clearly visible.
But disappointingly, there was no human figure inside, but instead there were countless tooth-like stamens, which sprayed a large amount of liquid at Valerie the moment she opened the petals.
Valerie was caught off guard and was sprayed in the face. Although there was no corrosive white smoke rising, Valerie stopped moving.
"Hahahaha..." Ivy's ethereal voice echoed in the room, "My baby prepared this for you! You will start with your brain, and slowly become my puppet!"
Valerie seemed stunned, her hands still clinging to the petals, a pungent liquid flowing down from her brow and dripping onto the ground.
The vines behind her were about to hit her. A huge shadow engulfed Valerie's body, and she seemed to have not reacted yet.
