Valerie smiled.
"He's a much more awesome guy."
She helped her clients keep their secrets.
Valerie walked out of the bar without looking back and casually summoned her favorite Sword in the Stone.
Valerie's car sped along the road towards Blackgate Prison.
Ma Long looked at the shadow disappearing at the door and put down the glass in his hand with relief.
……
Forty minutes ago.
Sheriff Brandon arrives at Black Gate with Firefly and Copperhead.
Originally, these two super criminals were caught by Gordon, and Sheriff Gordon should have arranged people to escort them, but tonight, Gordon had too many contributions.
Since Director Riobu is dead, Brandon, as a candidate for the next director, is ready to prepare for his future power. He will not allow such an outstanding competitor to be under his command.
Therefore, he used his power in the Gotham Police Department to arrange for himself to handle the prisoners instead of Gordon, so that the two criminals could be considered to have been caught by Gordon and Brandon together.
Gordon didn't want to get into a bad rap with another sheriff when the police station was leaderless, and it was just a matter of escorting a prisoner, so he agreed.
After watching the prison guards take the two criminals to different prisons, Brandon walked towards the Joker's cell.
When he heard that Sionis was going to offer a $60 million bounty for Batman, he put in a lot of effort. But later he found out that Black Mask was the Joker in disguise, and the whereabouts of the real Black Mask is still unknown.
This feeling of being fooled made Brandon want to settle accounts with the Joker.
NO46. Prison Break
Warden Joseph climbed up from the bed in the infirmary.
He felt the foreign body sensation of the bandage on his right eye and felt more aggrieved.
Joseph felt that he was old and miserable.
Since the warden of Blackgate Prison is a very high-risk job, he has tried his best not to get involved in the dirty deals of the gangs to avoid trouble, but in the end, he was still found by those lunatics.
He clearly just wanted to survive his term and then escape from Gotham with his wife and children.
Now, not only was the prison broken into during his term, but one of his eyes was blinded by a cigarette butt. His life seemed to have fallen into darkness.
His right eye was throbbing in pain under the bandage, and he wanted to talk to the culprit who caused his current miserable state, the clown who had been locked up not long ago.
He wanted to scold him a few times to vent his anger!
The Joker should still be in an isolation cell. We will consider arranging him in a real cell after a psychological assessment.
Joseph walked down the hallway and first came to the psychology room.
Seeing the warden come in, the remaining psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel hurriedly put down the documents in her hand.
"What is it, sir?"
Joseph noticed that Harleen had been holding pictures of clowns.
Are you studying the psychology of clowns?
Joseph was pleased with his subordinate's hard work, but he still reminded him: "Don't be too nice to him. This kind of scum deserves death."
"Ah? Ah...Okay, sir." Harlin nodded blankly.
"Where is the Joker now?" Joseph asked.
"In isolation cell F3... Are you here to see him too?"
"Also?" Joseph was a little surprised.
"Sheriff Brandon just went in, about ten minutes ago?" Harlin recalled.
"Isn't he out yet?" Joseph frowned. He didn't like Brandon very much.
Harleen shook her head.
Joseph sighed helplessly, opened the door, walked through the psychological room, and headed towards the isolation cell.
There were only a few fully armed prison guards on the road. They were armed to the teeth and even wore explosion-proof helmets on their heads. They could be said to be the best-equipped team in this prison.
When they saw the warden, they all consciously stepped aside.
Joseph soon arrived at cell F3. He was a little surprised that he didn't see Sheriff Brandon along the way.
Did the psychiatrist remember it wrong?
Joseph found that unlikely.
The isolation cell is a bit like a small dark room, with no windows and only some small holes on the door for delivering meals.
Joseph used his one eye to look through the small hole at the situation inside the cell.
The clown, who had changed into an orange prison uniform, was lying on his side on the bed, his body shaking as if he was trying to hold back laughter.
Joseph was a little surprised, because he remembered that the clown was not so big.
The warden put his hands on the door, trying to see more clearly, but as his body weight pressed against the door, Joseph was horrified to find that the door moved inward.
The door is unlocked?
A creepy feeling came over him, Joseph pushed open the door and rushed to the bed where the "clown" was lying.
When he peeled away the person lying on the bed, he saw a familiar face.
It was Sheriff Brandon. His face was livid, and the muscles on his face were twisted into a weird smile. A very small laugh came from deep in his throat, and he looked like he was trying hard to breathe.
"Help..." Brandon looked at Joseph and squeezed out a sound from his throat, but before he could finish his words, blood started flowing from all his orifices and he completely lost his strength.
What happened? Why is Sheriff Brandon lying here? Where is the Joker?
Looking at Brandon's horrible smile on his dead face, Joseph felt a piercing pain in his right eye again and his teeth were chattering.
"Someone come!" Joseph rushed out of the cell.
"What's wrong, sir?" A prison guard wearing an explosion-proof helmet stopped his patrol.
"The clown has escaped, sound the alarm!" Joseph was panicked.
"Don't worry, sir, maybe he didn't run away." The prison guard comforted him.
"I said sound the alarm..." Joseph suddenly felt something was wrong: "Wait a minute, who are you? Your police number..."
Before he could finish his words, the prison guard suddenly reached out and hit Joseph on the head with the butt of his gun.
Joseph fell to the ground after being hit hard on the head: "You...you are..."
"Santa Claus! Hahahaha!" The prison guard lifted up his helmet, revealing a pale face.
After satisfying Joseph's curiosity, the clown stepped on his head, causing Joseph to faint.
"Don't you want to kill him?" Another prison guard behind the clown also took off his helmet.
That was another prisoner.
Not long ago, Brandon came here and wanted to beat up the clown himself.
It turns out that although the Joker was as thin as a bamboo pole, he was a master of bare-handed combat. He killed Brandon with a backhand and killed all the prison guards in the corridor with a poison gas brought from nowhere.
Afterwards, in exchange for regaining their freedom, most of the prisoners in the isolation cell block were released by the Joker and temporarily became his subordinates.
Those who were unwilling to join the clown were shot on the spot.
"I thought of an interesting game. The warden should also participate." The clown fumbled around Joseph's body and took out an ID card and a key.
"I'll go and meet my good partner, and by the way, get more people in this prison to participate in the game. You take good care of little Joseph." The Joker took off his prison guard uniform and wore his favorite purple suit underneath.
Then he took the lead and pushed open the door of the psychology room.
"Hello..." Hearing someone coming in, Harlin looked up, only to see an unexpected person.
"Oh, Harley, you are still unforgettable. I couldn't wait to come out and see you!"
The clown smiled at Harleen, then waved to the prisoners behind him.
The prisoners dragged the unconscious Joseph and followed the clown to leave the psychological room.
"Wait, what are you going to do!" Harlin got the courage from nowhere and stood in front of the clown.
"We are friends, right Harley? We should have some kind of affectionate name. Just call me Mr. J." The Joker just glanced at Harleen. "Would you like to go play with Mr. J?"
"A grand game is about to begin! Mr. J!" A prisoner behind the clown shouted. "For--"
The prisoners' noises stopped abruptly. The clown didn't even look at him, but just fired a burst of shots with the submachine gun in his hand.
After a burst of firecrackers, the prisoners, who were beaten to a pulp, fell to the ground.
"We may not be friends yet." The clown said in a bored tone, then showed an exaggerated smile: "But the grand game is about to begin! Hahahahaha!"
Harlin was frightened by the clown's bloodthirsty smile. Her legs went weak and she fell to the ground.
"Well, it seems that little Harley doesn't intend to consider me a friend." The Joker called to the people around him, "Keep an eye on her."
Then he swaggered out of the psychology room.
Harley, who was held at gunpoint by two prisoners, followed them out. After taking over the entire Black Gate, they wanted to lock the psychiatrist up with the other hostages.
NO47. Advancement
The Joker quickly occupied the entire Blackgate Prison, and the released thugs smashed, looted and burned everywhere in the prison.
The prison guards and staff who were once responsible for maintaining order were tortured and massacred, flames spread throughout Blackgate, and order no longer existed in this prison.
Everything is in chaos, everything is burning.
Officer Smith and at least three of his colleagues were driven to the outskirts of Blackgate by a large group of thugs, who forced them together and wanted to beat them to death outside.
Officer Smith felt miserable. He had only been doing his job, but he was still going to be executed in such a humiliating way.
He felt a blow to the base of his knee, a force that brought him to his knees before his prisoner.
“Hahahaha!” There were about twenty people in front of him, all wearing orange prisoner uniforms, laughing wildly.
Another person punched Smith in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
He closed his eyes tightly. This feeling of being beaten was too familiar.
But the next attack was slow to come.
"who?"
"It's that bat!"
"Ugh!"
Hearing panicked cries and the prisoners in chaos, Smith secretly opened his eyes.
He saw a black bat moving through a group of thugs as if it were a piece of paper.
He just swung his punch and a thug was knocked to the ground. Some people wanted to launch a sneak attack while he was attacking others, but he could just dodge it with a quick move and then knock the attacker away with even greater speed.
There were more than twenty armed thugs, a number that would be enough to alarm the government even in a street fight, but at this moment they seemed to be hit by a truck.
After breaking the last thug's leg, all the prisoners fell to the ground.
Smith got up from the ground. He had heard of this bat man.
Not long ago, Blackgate Prison was attacked by Black Mask, and I heard that Batman contributed a lot to it.
Smith had heard quite a few rumors about Batman, a violent criminal who would break every bone in his victims.
But he saw it clearly, and he beat the criminals to a pulp.
Batman seemed to notice him as well and slowly walked towards Smith.
Smith's heart was in his throat. He couldn't imagine what Batman was going to do to him. He could only nervously say, "Thank you... Thank you."
He hoped that a better attitude would get Batman to let him go.
