Chapter 456 Advice to Lupin

Old Jack was hospitalized in Silver Cross Hospital.

His children came to visit.

Old Jack stroked Tai Luo's head, and Ai Si brought him a lot of candy.

Zoffy and Chudai also came.

"The reporters outside have been driven away." Zoffy came in with an unhappy look on his face.

"Those guys were like sharks smelling blood, wanting to report on the congressman's latest situation."

When Chu Dai came over, Tai Luo ran over and timidly called him brother.

"Mr. Johnny Silverhand has brought justice to us," said Old Jack, who was scarred by the Cruciatus Curse. "I hope you will remember to stand by Mr. Silverhand at all times."

He remembered Karl's plan, which made him feel frightened.

I can die, but the werewolf cannot be destroyed.

He took his children's hands and asked them to make a vow.

"No matter when, promise me." Old Jack's eyes were cloudy and his voice was earnest.

Chu Dai and Zoffy looked at each other and nodded.

"Don't worry, Grandpa, we will never betray Lord Silverhand." Zoffy said in a deep voice, "It is Lord Silverhand who gave us everything."

Chu Dai also said: "Even if I betray the Ministry of Magic, I will not stand against Mr. Silverhand."

"Okay, that's good." Old Jack lay down, the pain in his heart making it difficult for him to breathe.

Just at this moment, there was a knock on the ward door.

Tai Luo ran over and opened the door.

After opening the door, a familiar person appeared here.

"What are you doing here?" Zoffy stared at the newcomer with unfriendly eyes, "Remus Lupin."

They all knew that this man had lobbied Old Jack.

Lupin held flowers in his hand and was not angry at Zoffy's aggressive attitude.

"I came to visit old Jack."

"You are not needed here." Zoffy ordered them to leave. "I have the power to enforce the law against you."

Lupin smiled bitterly and turned to leave.

"Zoffy," Old Jack's weak voice sounded, "Let him come over."

Lupin stopped, and even though Zoffy didn't want to see him, he had no choice but to obey.

He came to old Jack's bedside and put the flowers in the vase.

"Are you okay, old Jack?" Lupin asked with concern.

He has respect and care for the elder who once took care of him.

Old Jack smiled weakly, "It won't kill you yet, but the Cruciatus Curse is not pleasant."

Looking up at his children, Old Jack said, "Go out, I want to stay with him for a while."

Chudai held down Zoffy who wanted to speak, and Ais took Taro's hand.

Old Jack's children walked out of the ward and closed the door.

There were only two people left in the ward. Old Jack propped himself up and sat up. Lupin hurriedly helped him adjust the pillow so that he could sit comfortably.

"What do you want to know, Remus?" Old Jack coughed twice and said, "Or does the person behind you want to know something?"

Old Jack was getting older and his health began to decline during the year.

With graying temples, the wrinkles on old Jack's face became kind.

Lupin looked at Old Jack like this and sighed, "You must despise me, right?"

"Remus, it's your choice how to live your life." Old Jack coughed again, and this time it was so severe that the children outside were worried.

"Yes, I do have some questions," Lupin chose to be honest, "about that day, after you were kidnapped, and about the five families."

"These things are important, because Voldemort..."

"It's not him you want to know about, right?" Old Jack's cloudy eyes seemed to have the power to see through people's hearts. He looked at Lupin steadily, "You want to know, is this matter related to Johnny Silverhand?"

"Remus," Old Jack sighed, "Why do you always want to hold on to Lord Silverhand?"

why?

Lupin couldn't explain it, maybe John was too different for them to be otherwise.

"I can tell you what happened, and I can tell you about the five families."

Old Jack's eyes suddenly became sharp, "But before I tell you all this, you need to make a choice."

"Remus, do you want to live as a werewolf or as a wizard?"

Hearing this question, for some reason, Lupin's heart beat a beat slower.

Old Jack's eyes were aggressive and his voice was full of the authority of an elder.

"Live as a werewolf for the sake of being a werewolf, or become a wizard and give up your identity?"

"I know. We are werewolves, beings that were once expelled and hated by everyone."

"But none of this is what we want. None of us wants to become a werewolf."

"Werewolves are monsters. There is no place for us." Old Jack coughed again and Lupin hurriedly poured him some water.

After taking a sip of water, Old Jack felt better.

"If you want to live as a werewolf, you need to lead your werewolf brothers and sisters, resist when wizards kill werewolves, and fight for equality for werewolves."

There was some confusion in Lupin's eyes.

He had never thought about it, as Old Jack said.

There are conflicts between werewolves and wizards, and discrimination cannot be eliminated in a short period of time.

As a werewolf, he wants to protect the oppressed werewolves.

But as a wizard, he seemed to need to contribute to the magical world.

Old Jack was not in a hurry. He was waiting for Lupin to make a choice.

"I think... I can't get rid of my identity as a werewolf," Lupin said with a wry smile, "Although there are cruel and bloodthirsty werewolves, they are all victims."

"Yes, the victim." Old Jack looked at Lupin and said, "Then you shouldn't treat Mr. Silverhand like this."

"Don't talk to me about potential dangers or conspiracy theories." Old Jack interrupted Lupin and said without question, "I can tell you what happened, but I need to give you some advice at the same time."

"Dumbledore cannot bring peace to werewolves. He will choose wizards over werewolves without hesitation."

Old Jack said in a deep voice: "Just like this time, if it were him, I believe he would not choose a werewolf."

Afterwards, Old Jack talked about what happened when he was kidnapped.

The coughing sound made the children outside open the door several times to check if everything was okay.

Lupin listened quietly, his expression changing from eager to learn at first to bewildered later.

The status of a werewolf.

Kidnapping of a pureblood family.

No matter which one it is, it is impossible to ignore.

"I don't know the details of what happened to those five families, but..." Old Jack showed respect on his face, "Mr. Silver Hand never abandoned us."

Lupin took a deep breath, he felt the air become thinner and he needed to go out so that his brain could function again.

He left the Silver Cross Hospital and came to the Silver Hand Johnny store in a daze.

He once worked in this place, watching the people coming in and out.

He walked in subconsciously.

The wooden board that Johnny's silver hand had cut was gone, and the space was ridiculously spacious.

"One of us?" Lupin looked at the novelties on the counter.

His best memories of the first half of his life were at Hogwarts. Only after entering society did he realize how kind Dumbledore was.

Werewolves were admitted to school, even without the wolfsbane potion.

There he met James, Sirius, and that damn traitor Peter Pettigrew.

He had been a prefect and had once fought magic with Snape.

It can be said that he relied on that memory to get through the dark time in his later years.

James died and Sirius was imprisoned.

That four-man team collapsed overnight.

He was like a lone wolf who had lost his pack, wandering around in the magical society.

Werewolves are at the bottom of society and are sometimes not considered human at all.

In Defense Against the Dark Arts, learn how to resist this evil existence.

In the eyes of Remus of the Order of the Phoenix, the social harm that the Starry Sky Club might bring and Johnny Silverhand's recklessness might even wipe out five families.

But from the perspective of the werewolf Lupin, he openly fought against the big family for the werewolves. The power he fought for the werewolves might have the purpose of increasing his own power, but all the favors he did were real.

What should I do if the werewolves are suppressed again?

Fight for werewolves, or stay away and hide and become a wizard?

Dumbledore is a god, but only to Remus Lupin.

Lupin was the only one who felt his tenderness.

Johnny Silverhand is a god, he is the god of werewolves. Due to the conflict of interests, a werewolf community was created.

"Remus?"

A doubtful voice came and Lupin turned to look.

Tonks' hair turned black. She looked around and came closer, lowering her voice and saying, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm just taking a walk," Lupin said, then asked in confusion, "Tonks, why are you here?"

"I thought you came to see me," Tonks complained, "I'm here to investigate the affairs of the five families."

"I already have a guess about this matter." Lupin looked at Tonks' complaining expression and couldn't help but smile, "Now we can go back and spend Christmas."

"Oh my god, I don't want to see Mrs. Weasley continue to create 'chance encounters' for Bill and me." Tonks continued to complain.

But he still followed Lupin honestly and left Johnny Silverhand's store.
