"Your hair is wet, and you smell a little bit of alcohol."
"You have a very good nose, are you a puppy?"
"You are the puppy." Xu Wanyue stood up, picked up the towel and wiped his hair, "How can your hair get wet with an umbrella?"
"I want to get caught in the rain."
"You're not a child anymore." Xu Wanyue's voice seemed to have a hint of complaint. Lin Cheng was speechless and sat there obediently while she dried his hair. When she finished, she grabbed Lin Cheng's hand and pulled him up, then pressed him in front of the dressing mirror and picked up the hair dryer to blow his hair.
Lin Cheng sat there obediently. Xu Wanyue said softly, "Your hair is so long. Can I braid it for you?"
"You're so boring." Lin Cheng turned around and winked at her, "Can I stay here tonight?"
Xu Wanyue suddenly became nervous again, her hands gently grasping the edge of her skirt, "Eh?"
"We can leave together tomorrow. Anyway, your house is close to the hospital where your sister lives. It's raining heavily outside. Do you really have the heart to chase me away?"
"...I can lend you the umbrella. I can just pick it up from your house next time. You don't have to come back to return it to me."
"I'm going to commit suicide. I'm really going to commit suicide!"
"Okay, okay...then go take a shower. I'll buy you a set of pajamas first." Xu Wanyue reached out and pinched his face, then pushed him into the bathroom.
....................................
When Lin Cheng came out of the bathroom, Xu Wanyue handed him his pajamas. Lin Cheng went back to the bathroom and changed. When he came out again, Xu Wanyue was already lying on the bed. She lay on her side, curled up in the quilt, without even raising her head. Only when she heard footsteps did she quietly stick her head out, "You sleep on the left and I'll sleep on the right. Don't go over the pillow, otherwise..."
When she said otherwise, she suddenly froze. Lin Cheng smiled and asked, "Otherwise what?"
"Otherwise I'll be angry." Xu Wanyue tried hard to keep a straight face and make his words seem serious, but his eyes were timid. Lin Cheng lifted the quilt and lay down on the left. The two of them were not far away from each other. The TV was right in front of them, and they could see it when it was turned on. Xu Wanyue stuck her head out and turned on the TV, which happened to be playing Kamen Rider.
"You said it was childish before."
"I'm bored and can't find anything to watch..." Xu Wanyue answered guiltily. Lin Cheng turned his head to look at her curiously, "Have you taken off your socks?"
"Not yet. I'll take it off when I go to bed. Why do you care about such things?"
Lin Cheng winked at her, "How about I help you take it off?"
"Don't don't."
Xu Wanyue quietly lifted the quilt on her side, sat up, bent down and took off the white silk stockings on her legs. Lin Cheng stared at her without blinking, watching her carefully roll up her socks. The skin of her snow-white and slender legs was revealed little by little under the hem of her skirt, as white as jade under the light.
I have to find a way to use those slender, long, white and soft comic legs as a pillow when I sleep.
Xu Wanyue quickly took off her socks, and the blue veins on her white and tender instep were clearly visible, like blue and white patterns on porcelain. She quickly covered her legs with the quilt again, then turned her head, reached out and poked Lin Cheng on the forehead.
"You're not good at all."
"If I'm good, will you like me?"
"No, no, you won't be good."
"I can be good because of you."
"I don't believe it. Men's words are deceiving." Xu Wanyue sat up a little, pulled the quilt to cover herself, and looked at the TV screen in front of her. "Just watch TV and don't talk anymore."
"Your pillow is too hard. It's uncomfortable to lean on."
"A pillow that's too soft is bad for your neck." Xu Wanyue reached out and touched his fluffy hair, "Be obedient."
"Can I lie in your arms then?"
"No, you're so annoying."
Despised again.
Why do I always feel secretly happy after being embarrassed and despised in front of her? Is she actually a super dark genius girl? Has she trained me without my knowing?
Lin Cheng never crossed the pillow line, and all his actions were just words. But Xu Wanyue watched TV for a while, picked up the pillow in the middle and held it in her arms. She was actually watching it with gusto!
"You'd rather hug a pillow than me!"
"The pillow is very soft and very comfortable to hug."
Xu Wanyue answered in a low voice, turned her head to look at Lin Cheng's aggrieved look, and reached out to rub his head, "Go to sleep obediently."
"The pillow is too hard and I can't sleep well."
"You ask for so much..." Xu Wanyue looked at him dimly. After hesitating for a long time, she put the pillow aside and patted her belly gently. "Come to sleep."
"Hmm?" This time it was Lin Cheng who looked at her strangely.
But Xu Wanyue's eyes were extremely pure. Lin Cheng slowly moved his body, and this time he really rested his head on her lower abdomen. She was sitting, so this posture was almost the same. Fortunately, her bed was very big, so it didn't matter even if Lin Cheng tilted his body.
So soft and fragrant.
"Can you sleep well now?"
"Then how do you sleep?" Lin Cheng tried to stare at her face, but his eyes were blocked by her chest.
"I'll put you down when you're half asleep. When you're sleepy, you won't ask for so much."
"You are really smart."
"Hehe." Xu Wanyue seemed to be quite proud. She pinched Lin Cheng's face gently and said, "Go to sleep. I'll turn off the lights."
"You looked very scared of me just now, why aren't you scared now?"
"Just now I was afraid that you might get drunk and go crazy. If you weren't drunk, you wouldn't do anything bad."
"Not even if I'm drunk. I never get drunk and crazy."
"Okay, okay." Xu Wanyue replied gently, and her slender fingertips touched his collarbone again, which was a little itchy, but very comfortable. She said softly, "I have to ask you to help me look after my sister tomorrow, so... it seems that it doesn't matter if I treat you well."
"Hehe, so that's how it is. You're not even willing to say something nice to coax me."
"I'm not good at lying." Xu Wanyue said softly, "But you really act like a child most of the time."
"I'm not."
"It's just that you are very similar, just like a child who wants love and candy. If you don't give them, you will make a fuss. But if you give in to your wishes, you will become very good and obedient and treat people very well."
"Okay, actually I am a three-year-old kid mentally. Mom, I want to eat Nana."
Xu Wanyue stretched out her hand and pinched Lin Cheng's chest, the place where he had just said he wanted to eat. Lin Cheng was in so much pain that tears were about to fall out. Xu Wanyue lowered her head, moved closer, stared at him seriously without blinking, as if admonishing a child, "Do you still want to eat Nana in the future?"
"If I don't want to eat, I won't eat."
Lin Cheng was trembling.

I didn’t want to say anything nonsense when I was talking about the release of my last book, but since some people said they wanted to read it, let’s talk about something more interesting… The following is a random chat session, which you can skip.
..............................
It turns out that I am really a person who is a little too sensitive and pretentious.
I wrote about three to four thousand words of this thank you note for the release of the book, and I spent a long time deleting and revising the following paragraph, from six thousand words to a little over two thousand. When I thought about it, I suddenly felt that this matter seemed very humorous.
It turns out that no matter how hard a person tries, he cannot completely abandon the so-called sense of identity of "wanting to be accepted by others."
The process of writing a book is actually very lonely, and the desire to be recognized by others has become a subconscious desire. Oh, but I promise that this time I am not complaining without reason.
Just some random thoughts about what was going on while writing the book.
Before I knew it, I had written ten million words.
I'm actually not a particularly patient person. Many of my previous books performed quite well, such as Junior Brother, Senior Brother, and Hero. They all performed very well and I could have continued to write them, but I got tired of writing them and didn't want to write anymore. On the contrary, the book about Jiang Xiaoli had too many holes that had to be filled, so I wrote 1.5 million words. Actually, the performance of Taoist Companion was not very good, and there were still holes that I left behind that I haven't filled. After the new book is stable, I will find time to fill it in the form of a special episode, in the form of free chapters.
I firmly believe that I am a responsible author for each of my works. That is the world I created and I hope it can be complete. This is my responsibility to the characters I write about. I like the characters I write about.
My writing style is to focus more on writing characters than plots. I use interesting characters to naturally create plots, rather than just putting characters into the plot to act as puppets.
This is also the reason why most of my books are daily plots. Every book is like this. There is not much actual plot, but more about the emotional interaction between the female character and the protagonist. The warming of emotions is the progress of the plot for me. This is the case with every book I write, just like this one. Are there many stories in these 55 chapters? No, it is more about the interaction between the characters and the warming of emotions. I think these are warm and interesting pictures. It doesn't have so many ups and downs, tension and excitement, but I feel very warm.
The core of the story itself is actually some fantasy.
Illusions are beautiful, and we need illusions to deceive ourselves. This is why I have loved reading novels since I was a child. I hate the boring real life, so I like the illusions brought by interesting stories. Gradually, I couldn’t find interesting stories, so I started writing myself.
Who hasn't had fantasies? Fantasies of being loved by many beautiful girls, of being successful and famous, of having pockets full of money, of saving the world and being invincible. The meaning of fantasy is to bring comfort to a boring life. Life is already painful, so at the beginning of many of my books, I actually want to write a tragic ending, but in the end, I will be urged by mysterious forces to write a happy ending.
To me, illusion and love are more like hope.
The gradual improvement of social welfare has made food and clothing no longer a luxury. A world with set rules will inevitably make people feel bored at some point, and their spirits will inevitably become increasingly empty. This is the meaning of the existence of fantasy stories, which give us a moment of freedom.
Just like what I said in the closing remarks of Almost a Hero, I hope that this story can be a ray of warmth in life, which can give you hope and help you live happily.
Familiar readers know that I often transform myself into Yu Yu Boy. Rather than saving the world, I hope that the world will be destroyed in the next second, and all of us, including you, will die. But the world will not be destroyed in the next second, and it does not need anyone to save it.
I can't say that I love this world and am full of hope for life every day, but I do want to write interesting stories, whether they make people feel sad or happy, it is better than having nothing at all.
In fact, many things I want to say are already written in the book. I hope my story can make you who are reading it happy, even for a moment. Even if you will forget it sooner or later, it is not important to forget me, and it is not important to forget this story. But I hope it can bring people a moment to have the thought that "illusion is beautiful", which is a very interesting thing.
Maybe this is what it means to me to be accepted and recognized by others.
................................................
Back to the story of this book itself.
In shaping the character of Lin Cheng in the new book, I chose a very relaxed positioning.
He was a superhero who once saved the world, but he was also a shy, timid and childish young man. He was self-righteous, proud, greedy, and would roll over and over in his bed because he thought it was fun.
He is not a wise man, not a hero who upholds justice, not a saint, but a very sincere ordinary person. He is not Lin Ran, not Jiang Chen. He does not have such great despair about the world, so he dares to love and hate. He is an ordinary person who has suffered misfortune, but by chance he has gained the power to save the world. Because he has hope for the world, he chooses to save the world.
Imperfect characters are more real. There is no such thing as perfection in this world. If one is truly perfect, he or she is no longer a human being, but a god. I don’t need a boring god to be the protagonist of my story, nor do I want to be a boring and empty god.
So I prefer to write urban books because the urban atmosphere and environment can create more realistic people.
Fun is the most important purpose of the story. The interaction with the cute female characters and saving the world by the way, the fantasy process is very interesting. I like such stories. I like romantic fantasies, the intermittent rain in the story, the discussion of the value of justice, the meaning of existence, love and being loved, these things are definitely embarrassing to say, but it is really interesting. Use stories to express them, they will no longer be empty, but a series of interesting pictures.
I'm not particularly afraid of getting bad grades, but I am afraid that one day I will find the stories I write boring. If one day I find the stories I write boring, then I will stop writing.
I have no way of guaranteeing you how exciting and interesting the story will be after it is released, but what I can guarantee is that I will present to you the story I think is the most interesting.
I think carefully about every plot of every book, and have been working hard to learn, hoping to master more techniques to more appropriately express the story I want to tell.
This is my sincerity.
…and I am indeed a bitch.
..........................................
OK! I would like to especially thank my new editor, Xiaolu!
I am a very self-righteous person when it comes to writing. I don't like others to teach me how to write. He is not me, so he cannot represent my correctness. The prerequisite for him to teach me is that either the other person has written more words than me, or you and I have written the same topic and your performance is more than twice as much as mine, or what you say can convince me sincerely.
Brother Lu and I discussed a lot of plot points of this book, which really convinced me that this story can be made more complete and interesting.
The title of the book was chosen by Brother Lu. I am terrible at coming up with names and usually can’t come up with any good book titles. This title is quite interesting.
I am lucky to meet such an editor.
..........................................
Some final words.
I should thank the readers, but suddenly I don’t know what to say.
In the past year or two, I have spoken less and less, and most of the time I don’t know what to say. In the past, when I wrote a book, I would always be active in the comment and complain sections, replying to things about the plot of the book. In the past year or two, I have rarely done that. Most of the time, when I see a comment that I feel is not right, I will just block it first, so that if I don’t see it in the future, it won’t hurt me.
I used to enjoy quarreling and arguing with people, but now I can’t argue anymore. The truth will not become clearer the more I argue, but my friends will become fewer and fewer.
I have always believed that readers and authors have a two-way choice. If you like the story and are willing to pay for it, it is the author's honor. The kind of story the author writes is also the kind of reader the author chooses.
I put all my passion into the story, but sometimes I can't avoid being misunderstood because of different concepts.
But I sincerely and enthusiastically want to thank you for liking this story. Sincerity seems to be always difficult to express with words. After all, everyone lives in a world full of lies and falsehoods. But the support for this book has really become the motivation for me to write the book. My motivation comes from my persistence in interesting stories on the one hand, and from the fact that after the story was written, I found that "it turns out that there are so many people in this world who have the same ideas as me and like these things that I find interesting."
This is really cool bro.
But words of thanks always sound so pale and as if they were understated, so I don’t know what to say. I’ll just kowtow to everyone, bang bang bang.
It has taken me a long time to write this book. I have secretly remembered many familiar reader IDs. Thank you for understanding and liking this story. I hope this story can give you interesting and joyful emotions.
It's been four or five years, new friends and old friends come and go, spring goes and autumn comes, flowers bloom and fall, thank you for being with me for so long.
