Chapter 10 The Kaiser Who Doesn’t Want to Go to School

This morning, Lin Shangzhou drove to Wuyou Palace and walked into his lounge as usual. He sat on the sofa, took out his uncle's notes, and read them while waiting for the opportunity to work. More than 20 minutes later, Noah came in pushing a cart with snacks and coffee.

"Fritts, your dessert is here."

"Thank you."

After Noah put the plates and tea sets on the table, he poured a cup of coffee for Lin Shangzhou, then sat down on the sofa on the other side, holding his face with both hands and sighed heavily.

Lin Shangzhou looked at Nuoya who was so casual in front of him and joked: "If Aunt Elena sees you being so casual, be careful that she will criticize you again."

Starting from five days ago, Noya would bring him desserts and drinks every morning and at afternoon tea time. At first he was very surprised, wondering why the maid would bring these to him since he was not a guest. Later he realized that this was the maid's reward for his help in the work.

In this case, Lin Shangzhou no longer refused and accepted the snacks with peace of mind. The person who brought him the snacks was Noya, who was the closest to him among the maids in Wuyou Palace.

It was because Noya brought him tea and snacks that he learned that most of the desserts in Wuyou Palace were baked by Noya, which surprised him.

Nuoya glanced at Lin Shangzhou and said, "I checked it out. Aunt Elena is with the Emperor now. She won't be here for a while. Besides, I'll only be here for a short while. It won't bother you."

"Also, please don't tell Aunt Elena that I came to your place to be lazy, otherwise I won't make cookies for you anymore in the future, and you can find someone else to make them for you."

"Haha, of course not, don't worry."

Lin Shangzhou smiled and shook his head, then picked up a biscuit and handed it to Noah:

"Won't you eat something?"

"I'm tired of eating the cookies I made myself. I won't eat them. You can eat them yourself."

"alright."

After stuffing the biscuit into his mouth, Lin Shangzhou leaned back on the sofa and crossed his legs leisurely.

After eating the cookie, Lin Shangzhou remembered Noah's sigh just now, so he asked curiously:

"Speaking of which, why did you sigh just now? Is there anything that is bothering you recently?"

Noah shook his head.

"It's not that I'm unhappy, I just think the Emperor is too pitiful, alas~"

Then she sighed again.

"Your Majesty..."

Lin Shangzhou thought about it and felt that the German Emperor was indeed pitiful during the past week. Classes started at nine in the morning and ended at twelve. Classes started at two in the afternoon and ended at six. Moreover, after dinner in the evening, she had to receive etiquette training from Valdina. She had almost no time for entertainment. Although she had some free time after dinner, Valdina stayed with the German Emperor every step of the way during this free time.

This resulted in Lin Shangzhou not driving for the German Emperor for a week. Her schedule was filled with classes, so she naturally had no chance to go out.

"Your Majesty has indeed been very pitiful in recent days. I don't know what Ms. Valdina was thinking to treat Your Majesty so harshly."

Lin Shangzhou also sighed softly.

"Who knows."

"Do you think it's because Ms. Valdina saw me telling a story to His Majesty that day that she was so strict with His Majesty this week?"

Lin Shangzhou thought back to the first time he met Valdina, and she didn’t like him telling stories to the Kaiser, so he connected the two things together.

After listening to Lin Shangzhou's words, Noah thought it made sense at first, but she remembered that a similar thing happened in the past when Lin Yangyu was a driver. The current situation did not occur at that time. The German Emperor did what he was supposed to do, and Valdina did not deliberately add courses for her.

"It shouldn't be. The real reason is probably only known by Ms. Valdina herself. Let's not guess. It's not a bad thing anyway." Noah said.

"Well, it's not a bad thing."

Lin Shangzhou nodded in agreement. How could studying be a bad thing?

A few minutes later, Nuoya stood up from the sofa, walked to the cart and said to Lin Shangzhou, "I'm leaving. Bye."

"Bye-Bye."

Not long after Noah left, Lin Shangzhou felt bored, so he stood up from the sofa in the lounge and prepared to go out to see if there was any maid who needed his help, otherwise he would be too idle.

When he reached the door, he heard hurried footsteps outside. When he opened the door, Lin Shangzhou was surprised to find an unexpected person standing at the door - the German Emperor.

Alexandrine stood at the door of the lounge in panic, patting her chest with one hand to ease her nervousness, and preparing to knock on the door with the other hand. She was now hiding from Valdina's pursuit. A week of high-intensity classes made her miserable. Today, the dissatisfaction that had accumulated for a week finally broke out, and the result of the emotional outburst was: she decided to skip class.

She made the decision quickly and escaped quickly, but after slipping out of the room, she was in a dilemma as to where to go. She hid in Wuyou Palace and finally arrived at the door of the driver's lounge.

Just as Alexandrine was about to knock on the door, she was surprised to see the door opened, and behind the door was Lin Shangzhou who was equally surprised.

"Your Majesty, why are you here..."

Before Lin Shangzhou could finish his words, Alexandrine pushed him away and ran into the lounge. Lin Shangzhou was confused and didn't know what was going on. Then he heard hurried footsteps.

After a few seconds, he saw Valdina walking over from the side. The moment he saw Valdina's angry face, Lin Shangzhou understood what had happened.

(Your Majesty the Emperor is skipping class!)

Skipping classes is a bad behavior, and covering up for someone who skips classes is also a bad behavior. Logically speaking, Lin Shangzhou should have handed over the German Emperor honestly, but is he such an upright person?

Definitely not, so he decided to protect the Kaiser, but when he made the decision, he forgot that doing so would put him and the Kaiser alone in a room...

So Lin Shangzhou closed the door, and when he was halfway through, he heard Valdina's shout.

"Mr. Fritz, please wait a moment."

He had no choice but to open the door again and face Valdina.

Valdina was very angry now, really very angry. She had never expected that her lovely student Alexandrine would run out of the room when she was not paying attention. How impolite and against the rules was this!

Seeing the door of the lounge in front of her about to close, she stopped the other party.

"Mr. Fritz, have you seen the Emperor? I was teaching her a lesson and she suddenly ran out. Now I have to find her quickly."

"No."

Lin Shangzhou shook his head decisively, then pretended to think for a while and said to Valdina: "But I just seemed to hear some footsteps outside. Maybe His Majesty the Emperor just passed by here."

"I see...it seems that Ileni has been here before..."

Valdina whispered.

Lin Shangzhou felt a little relieved, but then Valdina's words made him nervous again.

Valdina looked at Lin Shangzhou suspiciously. She suspected that Alexandrine had hidden in the lounge, but because Lin Shangzhou just said that he had not seen her, she could not express her suspicion directly. She could only try to use her peripheral vision to see if there was any trace of the German Emperor in the lounge. When she saw the coffee on the table, she thought of a good idea.

Retracting her peripheral vision, Valdina looked at Lin Shangzhou and said:

"Mr. Fritz, I haven't had a drop of water since breakfast. The Emperor's temper has made me tired. Can I go in and have a cup of coffee and rest?"

"Forehead…"

(Depend on!)

Lin Shangzhou cursed in his heart. He knew that Valdina would definitely not give up directly, but this reason made it difficult for him to refuse.

It would be inappropriate not to let her in, as he had no reason to refuse this reasonable request; it would be even more inappropriate to let her in, as the German Emperor was already in the room.

Did he let her in or not?

Lin Shangzhou was in a dilemma, but now was not the time to be in trouble.

When he was in a dilemma, Noah's voice sounded from behind Valdina.

"Ms. Valdina, I just met His Majesty the Emperor in the garden at the back. Do you need me to take you there?"

Hearing Noah say this, Valdina immediately shifted her target, and Lin Shangzhou's pressure was relieved a lot.

"No, I'll go find her myself."

Valdina glanced at Lin Shangzhou, turned and left. Lin Shangzhou cast a grateful look at his helper Noah.

Noah knew that the German Emperor was in the lounge. She watched him run over. She was about to leave, but when she saw Valdina following her, she followed her. She felt lucky because Valdina didn't see her when she passed by just now, otherwise she would not be able to help Lin Shangzhou out.

"Is His Majesty the Emperor in the lounge?"

Walking up to Lin Shangzhou, Noah asked with a smile.

"Well, thank you for your help, otherwise I really don't know what to do."

Lin Shangzhou let out a long sigh and thanked Nuoya.

"You're welcome."

Nuoya looked at Lin Shangzhou with a subtle look, chuckled and said, "Next, you should think about how to get along with His Majesty the Emperor. I have work to do, so I'll leave first."

After that she left.

It was only then that Lin Shangzhou realized that he would be alone in a room with the German Emperor, and the pressure in his heart instantly increased again.

Chapter 11 The Kaiser's Bored and Lonely Life

"Ugh…"

With a light sigh, Lin Shangzhou closed the door and turned to look inside the room, then he found that the German Emperor was gone.

(Hide it)

Lin Shangzhou looked around the room, then walked to the curtain, the only place in the room that could hide a person. Looking at the figure behind the curtain, he reached out and pulled open the curtain.

"ah!"

The German Emperor behind the curtain became more and more nervous when she heard the footsteps approaching her. She was startled when the curtain in front of her was drawn open, and then she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the person coming was Lin Shangzhou.

"Has the teacher left? He should have left, right?"

The Kaiser stuck his head out and looked at the closed door, and came to the answer in his mind.

"Well, Ms. Valdina has left."

"That's good, that's good..."

Alexandrine let out a long breath, her body relaxed a lot, she sat down on the sofa and picked up a cookie and put it in her mouth.

Lin Shangzhou walked to the table, poured her a cup of coffee, and then stood beside her.

"Thank you."

After thanking her, Alexandrine picked up the cup and took a big sip of coffee, then looked at Lin Shangzhou who was standing next to the sofa and said, "Fritts, you don't have to be so respectful. It's okay to be casual."

"Please sit down. This is your room."

Hearing what the German Emperor said, Lin Shangzhou sat on the sofa opposite the German Emperor and poured her some coffee.

"Thank you so much for what you did just now, Fritz."

Alexandrine thanked Lin Shangzhou. She knew that she would be caught by Valdina sooner or later, but the longer it could be, the better. She wanted to take advantage of this time to relax.

"This is what I should do, Your Majesty. It is normal for you to want to relax under such high-intensity study."

(If she were to experience the intensity of my studies in high school, I'm afraid she would go crazy)

Lin Shangzhou complained in his heart that the Kaiser's study intensity was not that strong in his eyes as someone who had gone through the college entrance examination.

"I don't know what the teacher was thinking. He suddenly added so many courses to my schedule. It's really annoying me."

"Not only did she suddenly increase the number of people and make me attend classes, but she also had to accompany me during breaks. I couldn't even read novels. Ahhhhh!"

Alexandrine pouted and complained to Lin Shangzhou. Looking at the cute look of the German Emperor complaining to him, Lin Shangzhou felt a sense of emotion. The emperor also had troubles in studying.

"Although studying is a good thing, you still need time to relax. It's a bit too much for Ms. Valdina to accompany you even during your rest time."

"Really? That's a bit too much."

Hearing that Lin Shangzhou was on her side, Alexandrine felt much better and nodded in agreement with Lin Shangzhou's statement.

Alexandrine leaned back on the sofa, looking up at the ceiling in a daze. Seeing the Kaiser in a daze, Lin Shangzhou asked without hesitation, ""

"Your Majesty, would you like to continue listening to that story?"

When Alexandrine heard that Lin Shangzhou was going to tell a story, she immediately became interested, but soon her good mood disappeared when she thought about having to face the angry Valdina.

She shook her head and said:

"No, I'm not in the mood to listen to stories now."

Since the Kaiser didn't want to listen to the story, Lin Shangzhou stopped talking. He didn't know what to say to the Kaiser. If Alexandrine was an ordinary girl, he would advise her to apologize to Valdina and attend class honestly. But she was the emperor, his superior. Although he had told his uncle before that "the Kaiser was just an ordinary girl", there was no other communication between him and the Kaiser except for him telling the Kaiser stories unilaterally.

A twenty-year-old man didn't know how to find a topic to talk about with a fifteen-year-old girl. Lin Shangzhou wanted to slap himself in his heart.
