"Why? They were fighting so fiercely just now. Weren't you going to fulfill Longhua's wish...?"

"Because using desire to bind the 'Buddha' is actually similar to what the Shuoyue family did, not to mention that Ryuka's salvation is Miyu."

"What's the meaning……"

"And that sentence was actually spoken by Kasyapa Buddha."

"What kind of Buddha is this?"

"It is me, yet not quite me, but ultimately it is still me, the me that people have imagined because of their desires."

Ilya, who was listening nearby, blinked, still feeling like she didn't understand.

“Just now, Ivia didn’t really destroy me, right?”

Ilya was also surprised by the thought that had slipped out of her mouth without her noticing.

"I don't want to lie to you, I can only say I don't know."

Ivia shook her head. "But Nicules would never do that. In fact, if there were any Buddhist believers present, they would immediately understand that it's strange for me to be fighting with Nicules in hand."

After all, Longhua is the Bodhi tree seed of Maitreya, while Nigrodha is the Bodhi tree seed of Kasyapa. As for Dipankara, theoretically it is a seven-leaf Bodhi tree, but this is not definitively established in Buddhist scriptures. The reason it is called a seven-leaf Bodhi tree is mainly because it represents Nirvana, so it is only theoretical.

However, not hearing the answer she wanted, Ilya pouted, as if she was sulking.

"But if it's Ivia, she'll find me very quickly, no matter what, right?"

"Indeed, because Ilya, you were really cool just now."

Ilya remained silent for a moment after hearing this.

He remained in this state for a long time, and after several moments of wanting to speak but actually stammering, he finally asked again.

"Is that all?"

"That's all, that's what I think."

Hearing Ivia say this, Ilya's eyes widened, and she asked again.

"Really, is that really all there is to it?"

"certainly--"

"Damn it, you've completely ignored me, haven't you! You can just spend the rest of your life with Ilya."

Ilya immediately looked displeased; it seemed she had been asking Chloe the whole time.

However, Ivia didn't seem too flustered. She just smiled and seemed to say that there was nothing strange about it.

"Of course I know it's you, Chloe, that's why you came out, right?"

Upon hearing Ivia's words, Chloe's Ilya clicked her tongue slightly.

"You've always been like this, you're way too perceptive in this regard..."

"After all, I am Buddha, so this is only natural."

The well-known "Dipankara Buddha, Tathagata, and Maitreya Buddha" are the "Three Buddhas of the Three Times" in Buddhism, which are calculated in terms of time.

In Buddhism, there are the past glorious kalpa, the present virtuous kalpa, and the future starry kalpa. The number of Buddhas who are attained during these three kalpas varies depending on the Buddhist scriptures. The Mahavibhasa says that Dipankara is the first of the 77,000 Buddhas. The Buddha's Deeds Collection Sutra says that the one with the title Dipankara Buddha is 800 million. In Chinese Buddhism, Dipankara is the first of the 1,000 Buddhas of the glorious kalpa.

In Theravada Buddhism, there are twenty-nine Buddhas, which was probably due to competition with Jainism at the same time.

In the first cycle of rebirth in India, the founder of Jainism was one of the six teachers taught by Gavia. Therefore, Gavia is known as Paramesti and the Primordial Vadamana. In Jainism, one who crosses the ocean of birth and death is called Tir. The one who completes Tir is called Tirdanjala, which is Paramesti who has broken the shackles of karma and attained enlightenment.

In the world today, it is generally believed that the last of the twenty-four Tirdanjalas of Jainism was the founder, Vadamana. However, this is a later view. From another perspective, the same title could also represent the same person.

For example, in the Buddhist system, Gavia is both the past Dipankara and the future Maitreya. Although this is not widely known, aren't they somewhat similar?

So, is there anyone who connects the two?

First, let's return to the competition between Theravada Buddhism and Jainism. In order to compete with the twenty-four Tirtanjala of Jainism, Theravada Buddhism added the twenty-five past Buddhas. Apart from these twenty-five new Buddhas, there are four Buddhas that are more well-known, in order: Dipankara Buddha, Kayaksha Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, and the last one, the undisputed future Maitreya Buddha.

A closer examination reveals that the stories of Dipankara Buddha and Kayal Buddha are closely related. For instance, Dipankara was the teacher of the enlightened one, and so was Kayal, who was the teacher of Gautama in his previous life. However, Gautama, who should have become a Chakravartin (universal monarch) but abandoned this path, only had one incarnation.

In some accounts of the Seven Buddhas of the Past, he is even ranked as the sixth Buddha before the Awakened One.

Going a step further, we can see that the name Jiaye is not only associated with Dipankara Buddha, but also with Maitreya Buddha in the Dharma-ending Age.

Unlike the Three Assemblies at Longhua in the *Buddha Speaks of Maitreya's Descent Sutra*, which are the only major assemblies in the Dharma-ending Age, the *Buddha Speaks of Maitreya's Great Attainment of Buddhahood Sutra* actually mentions another assembly, namely—

The final assembly of Kasyapa.

Although Venerable Kassapa is often regarded as the disciple of the Awakened One, Mahakasyapa, a closer look reveals a significant difference. This is because Venerable Kassapa can recite all the teachings of past Buddhas. Therefore, it is not surprising to regard the Kassapa Buddha added by Theravada Buddhism as a stitch-together of Dipankara and Maitreya, and there is also the character Ka.

Furthermore, Kayavati Buddha is also known as Namo Kayavati Buddha.

It should be noted that Mara, the Buddha's enemy in Buddhism, eventually became a Buddha. Considering that Devadatta, who attempted to split the Buddhist community, was ultimately named Namo, Mara should also have the same name. Furthermore, according to Buddhist teachings, Mara was able to become the Lord of Paranirmitavasavartin because he had bestowed blessings upon the Buddhas in the past, in an era without a Buddha, and thus received this favor.

In short, by completely transferring his own concept of Mara to Novia of Kama, it is, in a sense, also a case of 'Mara entering hell to repent and then becoming a Buddha.' Therefore, it is not the demon king, the Paranirmitavasavartin, Mara, who becomes a Buddha, but rather—

Namo Kasyapa Buddha.

This point was actually mentioned earlier during the great battle between Kavia and Krishna. After all, Amitabha is described as having "immeasurable light that pervades the ten directions," while Kayal is described as having "a body of radiant light that can overwhelm all other light." It is not an exaggeration to say that the two are in correspondence.

However, rather than saying that Kayava is Kavia, it would be more accurate to say that Kayava is a hybrid Buddha created by some later Buddhists for their own benefit, based on relevant Buddhist scriptures and stories. He is not a Buddha of the three thousand great worlds, but merely an empty name on Earth.

Therefore, Novia was unaware that he had been given the name Kayya Buddha, nor should he have known of this Buddha, but if he had known, he would have acknowledged that it was him.

After all, whether the so-called mystery is confined to a planet or develops in the distant future, the world is connected by misunderstandings, misidentifications, disagreements, and misperceptions, because even if people look at each other in the mirror, the appearances they see will still be different.

Because brains are not all the same, even if the input information is the same, the output cognition will not be the same. Even if you see the same things, the same colors, and say the same things, you may not have the same feelings. Everything is like this.

But Ivia will choose to accept, after all, there's a saying: "The true Maitreya has countless incarnations."

Therefore, upon truly learning this Buddha's name, the perfect divinity of Maitreya, who had not yet completed the three assemblies at Longhua, was deciphered. After all, as Maitreya, the Buddha who redeems the world, he too would choose to bear the consequences of humanity's desires accumulated over countless years.

'Truly concerned about birth and death, generate the Bodhicitta, with deep faith and aspiration, uphold the Buddha's name.'

Isn't that amazing? If Maitreya were born as a human, he would have perfect divinity, but once he becomes a Buddha again, he would revert to normal humanity. Perhaps this is because the primates of the Dharma-ending Age need to 'constantly reveal themselves to people, but people do not recognize them'.

In short, the desires of humanity, the primates of this present time, have shattered perfection over the long course of history, allowing Maitreya, who should not have been born as a human in this generation, to acquire desires, namely Kayabhadra.

In fact, theoretically, according to the Maitreya Mahabodhi Sutra, the enlightened one should say to Maitreya, who is about to be liberated, "You should speak of all the sutras and teachings of the past Buddhas." This is what is meant by Dipankara Buddha giving the prediction of enlightenment to the enlightened one, and the enlightened one giving the prediction of enlightenment to Maitreya. This is because "I wish to meet him at the Dragon Flower Assembly"... As for why the enlightened one has not come, we do not know for the time being.

Therefore, the three assemblies at Longhua are not the true ones for saving sentient beings; it is the final assembly at Jiaye that saves sentient beings at Longhua.

After all, the world that truly faces the end of Dharma, a world that can be described as hopeless, is another world altogether.

Chapter 410 The moonlight is so beautiful tonight.

Earlier in time, as the Dragon Flower Tree was gradually being replaced by the Nigrodha Tree, a certain space in the world came to a standstill for a moment.

It's not that time has stopped, but rather that there is a pure physical stillness—

"Nigrus tree..."

Longhua stared expressionlessly at the new Bodhi tree species that had appeared behind the giant tree, but a sense of doubt crept into his heart.

How could any other Dharma assembly manifest during the Three Assemblies? Moreover, it was merely Nikulbi, a representative of the empty Buddha Kasyapa Buddha, a figure created by humankind as a secondary creation of our Lord? What's going on? The power is dissipating, no, it's weakening…

Despite her confusion, Longhua did not give up her offensive against Miyu. Although a power had previously entered Miyu's life, causing small, crescent-shaped moons to appear around her, radiating moonlight and fusing with her lunar cancer power, this would have undoubtedly caused a mysterious chain reaction at any other time, perhaps even leading to a moonfall—

"Longhua!"

Or perhaps his strength diminished too rapidly, causing the bewildered Ryuka to fail to notice Miyu rushing towards him immediately, and he could only rely on the huge phantom wings that suddenly appeared behind him to block the attack.

The moment it came into contact with the attack, its wings changed color with a 'whoosh'.

Originally translucent wings, they were completely solidified by magic. Clear colors sprouted from the ethereal feathers, revealing their shape—a huge white wing that, though called a wing, had tiny wing claws.

At the same time, countless feathers arced from both sides of the floating dragon flower, rushing towards Meiyu.

In response, Miyu leaped backward and flew sideways using Moonbeam, as if dodging thousands of white feathers. However, the feathers chasing her seemed to automatically track her like the fine lines fired from the Heavenly Wheel Cannon. The feathers were so sharp that they seemed unreal, with only the continuous sonic booms sounding heavy.

Through the countless gaps in the feathers, Miyu's silhouette could be seen, accompanied by a purple halo that seemed to follow her feet. She turned around and whispered:

"That's all."

Instantly, two enormous, ethereal hands appeared on either side of the space, blocking the attacking feathers and stopping them halfway through.

"Lunar cancer is a manifestation of the moon's inability to advance further for humanity. Given this, it is only natural that you, who have not yet shattered the moon itself, would stop at this point in your offensive."

The two, like sisters, are not simply opposed to each other, but rather their inner magic creates a mysterious confrontation.

Lunar Cancer is something that humanity should overcome. Now that the power of Lunar Cancer is within Shuoyue Meiyou's body, Longhua, who is trying to integrate the concept of humanity, will naturally also overcome it. As far as these two are concerned, neither Lunar Cancer nor humanity will submit to the other before the final result arrives. Opening up and blocking can be said to be the same thing in terms of thinking.

Mystery and magic, along with the will to rule them all, collide, and one can even see the glow emanating from their point of contact.

Originally, Ryuka's power could be said to have overwhelmed Miyu, but because the Ryuka Tree was replaced by the Nigrodha Tree, its power is now on par with Miyu's, so both of them were thrown back.

Ryuu, quickly regaining his senses, created a staircase of feathers in the air, stepped onto it, and in a few steps, he was back in front of Miyu. With unexpected speed, he unleashed his magic and pierced the black-haired girl's thigh with a single blow.

However, in response to the pain, Miyu grabbed Ryuka's wrist, raised her leg, and struck Ryuka's chin with her knee at high speed, causing both of them to suffer injuries of different degrees again.

Then, countless times, Ryuka and Miyu intertwined, each collision unleashing an incredible magical force. They basically controlled each other's movements by relying on all five senses and the unconscious that transcended the five senses.

In the end, covered in blood, probably later when Ryuu was exchanging blows with Miyu, or perhaps a feather pierced through the giant hand.

“Longhua, you said I was the first person to see Ivia, that’s completely wrong.”

During the fight, Miyu said this to Ryuka.

“I remember everything. Back then, in that world, there was a voice that guided my mother and me.”

As Miyu said, when Yoshiko and Miyu entered the world of Ivia by chance, a friendly voice told them, "Be careful and be prepared. Only those who truly want to fulfill their wishes can go further."

"That voice was Longhua, wasn't it? You, Mom, and I all saw Ivia, but back then you were too scared to see him!"

"...As expected, I still want to kill you, Miyu Sakuzuki."

For Longhua, who represents Maitreya's tribulation, the ability to develop self-awareness is a miracle. Moreover, as this representative, she has almost everything she could want. Furthermore, the future is so long, with so much time until the end, that she has virtually nothing to worry about.

Why go to such lengths?

It was only after gaining consciousness that she realized her master would witness many hardships and feel sorrow in the long future. So she did this in order to prevent her master from showing such an expression. What she longed for was Ivia's 'not showing sadness', which was also the meaning of her existence.

With consciousness comes desire. The root of Longhua's desire is Ivia, which leads to even more desires: 'the first person the master met,' 'the master's only servant,' 'the only one.' Longhua wants to be the first and the only one in countless ways.

Ultimately, all living things return to themselves. Letting Ivia undergo her tribulation ahead of time—isn't that also a kind of desire? Whether it's an older sister, a younger sister, or someone she's interested in, as long as all these concepts are mixed within her, then isn't she herself all of them?

As for why it didn't appear at first, it was out of fear. Longhua is one of the Bodhi tree species, but the form that Longhua initially manifested was that of a beast. Therefore, it dared not go to see Ivia, thinking that since Ivia was similar to humanoid Ivia, she should also be humanoid, not an ugly beastoid.

"I must kill you."

Longhua closed his eyes and breathed slowly, thus concentrating a chilling magical power.

"I've always wanted to beat you."

"……what?"

Longhua is ultimately the tree through which Maitreya attained enlightenment. Even though its power has been greatly weakened, it was still shaped with the concept of universal salvation, and is the embodiment of universal salvation in the future.

If the Moon's cancer is the planet's protective shield—

Then Longhua would use animalistic and Buddhist principles to completely deny, overwhelm, and trample upon it.

It was this domineering nature that led it and the planet to accept this fate.

There's no need to explain any reasoning.

Thousands, tens of thousands, even hundreds of millions of dragon flower leaves once again illuminated the sky, shining upon the world with a radiance as if the Three Assemblies had just concluded.

Under the radiance, the dragon that appeared before Miyu had transformed from a human form into a gigantic dragon.

It was completely devoid of any technological feel, its entire body was white, with long hair flowing from its head, and two metallic rings encircling the base of its tail. Beneath the rings was an object resembling an engine, and its appearance was a combination of a white bird and a Western dragon with huge wing claws.

In the Dharma-ending Age, people who believe in the Dharma will despise reality and indulge their desires. Only the Three Assemblies at Longhua can save all living beings.

At this moment, the pure white dragon raised its eyes, opened its mouth, and spat out a blazing light of destruction at Miyu before it.

Cleansing and purifying the world is an inherent power of the Dragon Flower Tree; this is the greatest Dharma assembly in the Buddhist system, equivalent to the re-emergence of the Garden of Eden.

"But the Cancer of the Moon told me: wanting to win and wanting to kill are not the same thing. Born from the people of this lonely planet's longing for the moon, she was meant to be humanity's protector before humanity reached its limits. In fact, her true dream was to die with the planet and humanity. She even feared that humanity would fall from its primate position and become animals to be played with by the new primates. But, but—"

However, before Ryuka could utter his final words, Miyu lowered her eyes and said...

The enormous purple halo resembled a person standing behind her, extending a huge hand towards the dragon-transformed Longhua. Its purple radiance was like a river of light, or a torrent or a cradle within a cocoon, preventing it from advancing or retreating.

"She still hopes that humanity, or rather, a new primate that has surpassed and inherited humanity, can completely transcend and reject what she considers the idea, and go to a completely new place. This is her expectation."

“I don’t have such high expectations, or rather, I don’t have such grand ideas, because I’ve always been afraid. To be honest, I’m jealous of Ilya and Chloe. Compared to me, they learn and grow more easily. But now I understand that I will grow too, even if it’s a little slow. That’s still growth.”

"So, I will also defeat you, but I will not kill you, because wanting to win and wanting to kill are different. This applies to me, and it also applies to the Cancer of the Moon."
