"Yeah, I would like to get involved, but I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to handle it if another person came, Master."

Xiao Mo was very clever in ignoring Ethan's joke, without showing any shyness. She knew what kind of identity she should show in front of Ethan at this stage, and this identity of a good brother was also the key to her being able to pry out Ethan's true feelings.

"Master, you haven't answered my question yet. Do you mind having a harem?"

"Let's talk about it later. There's no rush to draw conclusions now. It won't be too late to interrogate your heart when it really comes to that point." Ethan rolled his eyes.

As if he didn't want to dwell on this topic any longer, he looked up at the Holy Grail in the air, moved his Adam's apple, and said slowly:

"Now that the wish that needed to be made has been fulfilled, I now plan to disintegrate this Holy Grail. Xiao Mo, we should say goodbye soon."

This was something he had planned long ago. Although it was a very easy thing for him, the Holy Grail War was ultimately a sacrificial ceremony involving lives. Not to mention the threat it posed to wizards, for the Muggles living in Red Grave City, this thing was a time bomb of high magnitude.

Moreover, if a madman who doesn't care about the lives of ordinary people participates in the competition, the lives of more innocent people may be implicated. No matter what the reason is, since he has this ability, the best way is to get rid of the Holy Grail once and for all.

However, disintegrating the Holy Grail also means Xiaomo's exit. Even if Alanna still has the last Command Spell, even if the Holy Grail War is over, it can be used as a wedge to keep the Servant in the world for a long time, but Xiaomo's situation is special. She is a dying person who signed a contract with the Restraining Power in exchange for the Holy Grail's wish. If she loses the Holy Grail, Xiaomo's contract with the Restraining Power will automatically be invalidated, and she can only return to her own timeline.

Although Xiao Mo had already planned to leave on her own after the things here were finished, and she and Ethan had also agreed to meet again in Avalon in the future, but as the time of separation approached, she couldn't help feeling a little reluctant.

"Hmm!" Xiao Mo pursed his lips and smiled softly, "I support your approach, Master. It's always like this."

"That's really great."

Ethan smiled, pulled out his magic wand and pointed it at the Holy Grail in the air. A thin silver light shot out from the tip of the wand and hit the golden sphere suspended in the air. Under the influence of this light, the Holy Grail gradually lost its luster and began to collapse at a very fast speed, turning into a pile of dust on the ground.

"Then let's say goodbye here?" Ethan put away his wand and looked back at Xiao Mo.

As the Holy Grail disintegrated, blue dots of light began to float around Xiao Mo's body, a sign that the Servant was about to disappear from the world.

"Well, I still have things I have to do. Although I am reluctant, I will say goodbye to you, Master." Xiao Mo pretended to be calm and stood up and stretched. He turned his back to Ethan and put his hands on his waist, pretending to be open-minded, but his tone was a little trembling:

"You must find a way to come to Avalon to see me, Master! It would be great if there was a way to summon me to the real world. I haven't had enough of this world yet!"

"I certainly will. You must respond to my call when the time comes. I also look forward to seeing you here again." Ethan nodded solemnly. "You must also talk things over with your father. There is no such thing as an overnight grudge between father and son. Your relationship will definitely improve!"

"Of course I will!"

Xiao Mo's figure became more and more illusory. She turned her head and gave Ethan a sunny smile:

"And one more thing……"

Xiao Mo suddenly leaned over and hugged Ethan's neck, and gently kissed his cheek with his lips:

"As expected, I like you the most, Master."

After saying this, Mordred disappeared with satisfaction.

"???"

Ethan belatedly touched the place on his face where Xiao Mo had kissed him, staring blankly at the light point that Xiao Mo had turned into before his eyes dimming. His other hand, which had been holding Alanna, could not help but tremble slightly, and all his thoughts finally turned into a helpless sigh:

"Alanna would definitely kill me if she heard this."

-

On the Hill of Camlann, King Arthur's lance pierced the rebellious knight's chest, and the bright red blood dripped down the lance to the ground; the greatsword in the rebellious knight's hand also smashed King Arthur's crown to pieces, and the red and white substance flowed down her cheeks, blurring her vision.

The rebellious knight's helmet exploded, revealing Mordred's tired and determined face.

She took a deep breath, as if she had finally made up her mind, straightened her pierced chest, threw away the sword in her hand, walked tremblingly towards the king in front of her, and held her face.

"Father...I'm sorry..."

Tears as big as beans flowed down Mordred's cheeks, and Altria's face was full of surprise.

"The throne or something... is actually not important to me... I just wanted to... share some of the burden with you... but I messed everything up... I'm so sorry..."

Mordred's throat was choked with blood and she could hardly speak clearly, but she still stubbornly expressed what she wanted to say without any error, even if the price of doing so was to accelerate the disappearance of her own life.

"Don't be so stern all the time, father...it would be nice if you could smile..."

Her hands drooped limply, and the armored girl fell to the side, no longer breathing.

"Mordred..."

Listening to Mordred's confession, the tightest part of Altria's heart suddenly loosened a little.

Although she refused to acknowledge Mordred's identity at first, and although Mordred's identity did embarrass her, she actually treated Mordred as her own child. The reason why she failed to acknowledge her identity was actually very simple.

Britain was doomed to perish, and she was the only one who would bear the guilt of being the king of a fallen country. She didn't want anyone else to be buried with Britain in this doomed end, especially her own children.

But now it seems that I really did make a mistake.

If only he had acknowledged her, even if he had just called her his son in private, then the relationship with Mordred might not have ended up like it is today...

Mordred thought she was the one who messed up everything, but it was obviously himself who messed up everything.

She dragged her wounded body and staggered down the Jianlan Hill. She did not dare to look back at her child's cold body. She leaned her exhausted body against a tree and sat down dejectedly.

Sir Tristan was right. I really don't understand human nature.

The Knights of the Round Table left him one by one because of his wrong decision, Britain began to fall apart under his rule, and now even his own children were killed by his own hands.

Although Merlin had shown her her tragic ending long before she drew the sword: Britain was doomed to perish, and no matter what she did she would only be buried with Britain, and she accepted this ending.

But now that she knew she was dying, she began to think of another possibility:

If only I hadn't been the one who became king that year, if only I could go back to the day of the king election and change everything, maybe someone who understood people's hearts better could become the king of Britain, maybe Britain could disappear in a more peaceful way...

At this moment, a voice that should have been used as a street lamp rang in her mind:

"Do you want to change Britain's destiny?"

Still Xiao Mo

Okay, that’s the end of the first two volumes.

It was my first time writing a book, and before I knew it I had written nearly 700,000 words and about 200 chapters. Looking back, I feel a sense of accomplishment.

Now I finally have the confidence to set a small goal of writing one million words.

In fact, in my plan, these two volumes are still classified as prologues or foreplay, which is to write about how powerful Ethan is and the omnipotence of ancient magic, laying the foundation for him to stir up trouble in the magic world in the future (after all, someone just questioned that Ethan's magic power could not compare with that of a nuclear generator a while ago, so I still have to spend more time and effort to mention it here. And I never thought that someone really thought that the protagonist's golden finger could not compare with industrial creations).

That’s right, a prologue of 700,000 words, is it surprising? Are you happy?

I guess other great authors with strong writing skills can handle this kind of plot in dozens of chapters or tens of thousands of words... But it doesn't matter, it's just writing a book, just do it for your own happiness.

The original plot of the second volume was that Ethan and Alanna fought a whole cup battle as enemies without revealing each other's identities, but then I thought that this kind of misunderstanding between the skin suits was too painful, and it would become a matter of seconds. So I changed it to the current plot, which is a little more relaxed.

After all, isn't the essence of the Holy Grail War just boy meets girl? What else can the Holy Grail War be used for if not for romance?

The misunderstanding plot is a driving force for the development of the plot, but it should not be the plot itself. I could have just left the misunderstanding between Ethan and Cassandra unresolved and just written about it awkwardly for dozens of chapters, but if I did that, not to mention you reading it, I would have felt annoyed writing it.

Another reason for giving up is that with Ethan's style of doing things, he will not show mercy to the enemy in the Holy Grail War. Given his combat power, if he continues like this without revealing his identity, it is very likely that he will directly kill his wife to prove his truth.

It’s impossible that the future plot will really become a grim scene like “Resurrection, my love”, right?

As for the plot of the next volume, everyone should be able to guess what it will be about by looking at the title, right? (Music)

He keeps speaking honorifics in school and curses outside of school. Let Mr. Nose see what it means to be pushed forward by the waves behind. Thanks to the previous writing, Ethan's image has been established. Otherwise, many people would think that Ethan is a well-disguised villain.

However, the plot rhythm will still be slow like before, and I will not skip too much of the original plot at once. After all, I am writing a fan fiction, and I still want to write more plots that interact with the original characters.

As for the combat capability that some readers are concerned about, there is only one sentence in my book:

Regardless of whether it is the magic of the Age of Gods in the Type-Moon world or the magic in Harry Potter, the power of ancient magic will be greater than that. Even if it is against the five major magics, it will never be at a disadvantage.

Don’t ask, the answer is the golden finger.

In fact, if you think about it a little, you can understand that the several magics that have been described so far, whether it is the third magic that can materialize the soul and thus achieve immortality, or the fifth magic that can allow time travel, can all find perfect substitutes in the Harry Potter world.

As for the second method of traveling through parallel worlds, don’t ask. If I ask, it involves the later plot and it is not convenient to say more.

But to be honest, Ethan's current combat power really doesn't deviate too much from the original combat system. After all, the power of the ancient magic in the game is really so amazing, with all kinds of things like light cannons and thunder. This book at best just adds some forms of expression of the moves, but does not specifically enhance the power or anything.

In order to prevent Ethan from being too invincible, a Lost Spell was added so that Ethan could have a few rivals who were equally matched. As for the Lost Spell, it will be mentioned again in the later plots, and it is not a one-time setting.

By the way, as for the writing style mentioned by many readers, I personally want to avoid the problem of translation style as much as possible, so when considering the dialogue between characters, I will try to write it more localized, and I will try to find words with similar usage in Chinese to replace the original text. For example, "bloody" will be translated into "血妈", and the modal particles "uh" and "sure" will be written as "成" and "多久" instead of "嗯哈" and "后的可以可".

Of course, whether you can accept it or not is up to you. Feel free to raise any opinions you have. Anyway, I don’t intend to change the writing style. (Music)

Speaking of giving suggestions, generally speaking, as long as the comments are made seriously in the book reviews, no matter how harsh they are, it won't matter. However, if there are readers who start to rant after reading a few chapters, or readers who can't tell right from wrong and won't listen to others, then for the sake of other readers' reading experience, I can only use the author's authority to delete the comments and block them.

After all, I learned a lesson from the previous incident: there is no need to care too much about the feelings of those little cuties and make yourself upset. It is meaningless if you don't use the authority when it is necessary.

Let’s get off topic. Let’s not talk about this digressive topic anymore.

Next, let’s talk about some of the main characters.

First of all, let’s talk about the protagonist Ethan. I don’t need to explain this name, you all should know where it came from.

I wanted to come up with a name that would not look out of place in both Chinese and English. Setting the protagonist as a Chinese person would help increase the reader's sense of immersion. At first, I considered names like Schrodinger, Newton, Chauvin, and Richard. Later, I suddenly had an idea and took advantage of the popularity of the hand sanitizer god of war, so the name Ethan came to me.

I had a brainwave and thought of a name like Yan Wu Jing, but I quickly discarded it because it was too out of place. (Yanmen)

As for the appearance, just imagine a blue man with black hair who can't double jump. After all, they use the same skill tree, so it doesn't seem out of place. (Happy)

At this point, I suddenly thought, should I make Ethan's hair white in the future? (Crazy hint)

Then there is the heroine Alanna Shanans.

At first, I wanted to make a little fanboy for Ethan, who was saved by Ethan when he was being bullied and worshipped him, so the character was a shy and introverted weak boy. But then I thought, it's too gay to make two grown men go shopping together in Hogsmeade and even get angry because of each other's death, and this is in the UK, which makes it even weirder.

Besides, things like BL are just for fun. If they are really written, it will still be a little hard to accept. If you still can't figure it out, you can refer to Kamen Rider Ryuki and Knight Time Ryuki Gaiden.

So I quickly changed the gender, but I felt that the character of this little fangirl had a lot in common with the feminine Sebastian who was originally conceived as the heroine, so in the end they were integrated into one person.

As for how this name came about… Actually, the author was a bit bad at naming when he first wrote the book, so he randomly picked a lucky group member's name to name the characters. Alanna's full name was based on a group member named "Moon Shadow". The name was chosen from the Turkish word for moonlight, "ailana", and then a similar English name was found, Alana. The last name was because the group member named "Moon Shadow" was a gynecologist and was always nicknamed "Moon Shadow Nurse Sister" by other group members, so the two words shadow (shadow) + nurse (nurse) were stitched together.

Alana Shawnurs, Alana Shawnurs.

Yes, Alanna’s name can actually be directly translated into “Moon Shadow”, and the Chinese name “Xia Jingyue” is just the name reversed. However, if it is directly written as “Shadow Moon” it will easily lead to the next studio being distracted, so the homophone of shadow, “Jing”, was used.

The name given to Alanna's sister is Aerial. Yes, it's the "Wind Spirit" in the Wind Spirit Gundam. (Music)

By the way, Alanna's image was based on the female character I created in Hogwarts Legacy, and it was really stitched together. (Rejoice)

It’s just that when Morgan was released for the eighth anniversary of FGO a while ago, I found that the witch’s outfit on the initial card was exactly the same as the image of Alanna in my mind (except for the hair color), so when I wrote about Alanna later, the picture in my mind couldn’t help but lean towards that image.

I can only say that it’s a good thing that Alanna was not set to have blonde hair at the time, otherwise it would be really hard to explain.

Professor Mirabell Garrick.

Need I say this? Anyone who has played the game knows that the professor is one of the few attractive female characters in Hogwarts Legacy. If this game had a romance system, I would definitely stay up all night to max out the professor's favorability and unlock all the cgs in the same day. It can be said that I wrote this book largely because I wanted to be with the professor... ahem.

But I am afraid that driving a big car or having a teacher-student relationship will be sanctioned by the review, so I can only reluctantly not let the professor become the main wife. (Sad)

But it's not a loss, after all, the main female lead is the feminized Sebastian, so the professor's loss is not unfair. (Happy)

Cassandra Worley.

How can I describe this character? As I mentioned at the end of the previous chapter, I didn't like the image of doing evil for the sake of doing evil in Magic Awakening, so I removed all the villain images from Cassandra. As a result, the character image is somewhat similar to those traditional tsundere young ladies with sharp tongues but soft hearts, which is a bit of a mistake.

But this is fine, after all, I really like tsunderes who are harder than the pancakes of the universe. (Happy)

Mordred Pendragon.

Xiao Mo's feelings for Ethan were not awkward. Xiao Mo was a child who lacked love, so she was the type who would repay someone who was truly kind to her. Ethan happened to be someone who had known Xiao Mo in his previous life, so he liked her very much and knew how to get along with her. Ethan's patience and care were exactly what Xiao Mo needed. Ethan was not ugly, at least he would not disgust her at first sight. In addition, the impact of the dream on her and other factors made Xiao Mo fall in love with him. There was nothing much to say.

And considering that Aho-Mao will appear in the future, I am thinking whether to recreate the famous scene in The Troubles of Charlotte: "I call you brother, and you call me dad." (Music)

Plus, Alanna's image has already started to deviate towards Ash's, so if you round it off, Dai Mao's family of three are all ruined by Ethan. (More Laughter)

And how did the names of the supporting characters come from?

From the book's introduction, you can tell that Ethan is going to be an Auror. Aurors always have to deal with all kinds of things caused by dark wizards or dark magic, which perfectly fits the themes of games like Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. In addition, Ethan's name and image also come from these two game series, so the names of the characters in them were directly used.

For example, the brothers and sisters of the Ke family who are friendly and respectful to each other, a white-haired and red-clothed old man with a copper smelting fetish (crossed out) and his underage girlfriend, and some former S.T.A.R.S. members and the leader of the resistance army.

As for why a certain Steelback Beast is not there, didn’t he come here with a small account?

The names of the villains are also taken from game-related stories, such as a certain psychopath and his favorite heroine, and the boss of this volume, Marcus, is actually named after the leech queen James Marcus in Resident Evil.

I hope I won’t receive a lawyer’s letter from Japan tomorrow. (少女切寿ing.jpg)
