"New York Avatar Facility, no changes. Huh...ha..." The observer yawned. Although he knew this was an extremely important mission, he was still not made of iron. He would get sleepy if he needed it. He would drink some coffee later.

"Avenger received. Next scheduled contact time is 0800." The Avenger's intelligence liaison officer replied quickly.

The liaison officer needs to integrate intelligence from all over the world, organize it into usable information and hand it over to the military officer, who will then organize it and hand it over to the XCOM commander for decision.

"Call ended...WHAT THE F@CK? Don't end it yet, I saw something incredible." The liaison officer zoomed in, zoomed in, and zoomed in again through the eyepiece at hand.

He saw a human wearing a strange white armored coat suddenly appear not far from the front of the facility. He had just yawned, so how could someone run there in such a short time?

"There's a human standing in front of the facility. He doesn't have any weapons. Alas... he's dead. You idiot, why are you approaching that building?" the observer said sadly. He couldn't jump out to pull the person back. That would just cost him his life in vain.

The guards in the incarnation facility also seemed to have noticed the strangely dressed man. Dozens of mutant soldiers and officers came out of the facility, shouting at the man.

The next second, the observer saw a golden-red lightning bolt several dozen meters long burst forth from the man's hand. The massive lightning bolt suddenly flew out, striking the group of mutant soldiers in the distance.

The soldiers didn't even have a chance to dodge. After the lightning exploded, only a small amount of blood-red mist drifted on the wind. The soldiers' bodies, armor, and weapons were instantly vaporized.

"Boom!" After a short delay, the roar finally reached the observer's ears. He held his breath and continued to observe tremblingly.

"Observer? What do you see?" the Avenger's liaison officer urged.

"I saw a psychic master! Contact the commander quickly! A psychic master appeared at the Avatar Facility in New York, and he is attacking an entire base single-handedly! We must contact him!" the scout shouted excitedly.

***

"Sunlight Spear!" Sun Yang roared, and a brilliant light ignited in his hand once again. The spear in his hand, imbued with the power of lightning and sunlight, was enough to crush any enemy before him.

This isolated avatar facility finally realized that something was wrong.

The commander within the facility sounded the alarm, and a large number of armed forces gathered and launched a sustained fire attack on the lone attacker.

Sun Yang swung the spiral sword in his hand, and the power of [Miracle: Oath of Gold and Stone] emerged around him. The miraculous power attached to him made Sun Yang's defense and attack capabilities rise comprehensively.

Countless electromagnetically accelerated projectiles hit his armor, but they were all bounced off by the incredibly tough Javier armor. The electromagnetic bullets couldn't even restrict Sun Yang's movements.

Another bottle of mixed solution. It contained coffee, provided by the strange farmer, to boost movement speed; a green flower solution to increase the green bar's recovery speed; and a dawn grass solution to restore the blue bar. Only Sun Yang and Rukatiye dared to drink this three-in-one solution in one gulp; even Strider couldn't handle it.

After Sun Yang finished drinking, he charged towards the base. His running speed had exceeded the limit of the human body, and the spiral sword in his hand repeatedly rubbed out terrifying sunlight spears.

This terrifying miracle gun shattered the solid wall of the facility upon impact. Each shot from the Sunshine Gun was as powerful as a howitzer, and its penetration and damage to machinery were likely even greater.

The front of the building soon began to crumble under the continuous hits of the sunlight gun.

A large number of mutant soldiers ran out from the inside. They called for support in vain and opened fire with their weapons in an attempt to delay Sun Yang's advance.

Boom! A relatively intact, earth-gray wall was violently slammed open. Several heavy MECs burst out from behind the wall. The situation was urgent, and they had no time to take the right path, so they simply broke through the wall and rushed out.

Some heavy MECs jumped from the inside to the second floor of the building and the top floor which had not yet completely collapsed.

They are covered in thick red armor and hold a magnetic cannon in their hands. Their anti-jointed leg structure and jet propulsion system allow them to quickly cross certain obstacles and jump to high places alive.

These heavy MECs, like Sun Yang's Iron Guard robots, were units under three meters tall and provided fire support. However, these heavy MECs had stronger armor and greater flexibility, but their firepower was relatively weaker.

This heavy MEC is better suited for urban riot control and "peacekeeping" operations, allowing it to get closer to civilians. This is made possible by its carefully disguised weapon systems.

If people knew that it was equipped with a micro-missile system and targeting sensors connected to the mutant network, and could perform facial recognition scans on the crowd in microseconds, I'm afraid the citizens living in the city would not be so calm.

After all, these weapons are meant to deal with forces like XCOM and the Resistance, which have weaker firepower, no heavy weapons, and at most only explosives. Excessive firepower is completely unnecessary in urban combat; just enough to kill people is enough.

These heavy MECs painted in bright red launched the micro-missiles hidden behind them the moment they saw Sun Yang. They aimed at and bombarded Sun Yang with the huge magnetic machine guns in their hands.

Several heavy MECs launched attacks simultaneously from three different positions: the bottom floor, the second floor, and the top floor, ensuring maximum firepower coverage.

Micro-missiles exploded around Sun Yang, and magnetically accelerated machine gun shells all hit Sun Yang's body. But Sun Yang managed to keep his footing amidst the continuous bombardment.

Under the protection of Javier's armor, he only suffered a little damage, and the armor only had some scratches after facing the continuous bombing and machine gun shooting.

Although it is an imitation of armor from the age of gods, the ancient magical power and toughness contained in it are still unparalleled in the world.

Another burst of sunlight burst out from Sun Yang's hand. Seeing this, the mutant soldiers rolled behind the bunker in a panic, hoping to escape.

But hiding behind the cover was a waste of effort. When the gun of sunlight hit them, the only difference was whether they died sooner or later.

Three consecutive bursts of sunlight guns detonated the heavy MECs that were firing continuously. The exploding red lightning evaporated the machines in the center of the attack, and the surrounding machines affected also lost their combat capability due to the melting of circuits.

Sun Yang waved his staff, and a golden glow shone forth. The time-reversing repair magic restored the armor to its optimal condition. As for the injuries on his body, he unleashed a miracle called [Sunshine Nourishment].

This miracle can slowly but extremely long restore your health. As long as you keep this BUFF, you can ensure that your body is constantly repaired.

The morale of the mutant army collapsed. They ran back screaming and didn't dare to fire a single shot at Sun Yang.

Sun Yang felt the remaining mana in his body, which was only about half left, and he was surrounded by smoke and dust from the grenades, and for a moment the enemies could not find his location.

So he stuck the spiral sword into the ground and sat down. Within a few seconds, the spiral sword absorbed energy from the surrounding space and restored Sun Yang's body.

However, when Sun Yang stood up again, he suddenly felt the ground shaking inexplicably.

"Hmph. I was wondering how such a large research facility could have only such a small mutant force and a few heavy MECs." Sun Yang waved his hand and walked out of the smoke and dust. He saw the huge mechanical beast - the Destroyer - which smashed the remaining floors and started up from hibernation.

The mutant saboteurs were different from the idiot playing with the howitzer at his base. These were pure, unmanned weapons of war.

The Destroyer is a bipedal robot capable of switching between high and low stances. Equipped with robust armor and formidable firepower, it boasts exceptional flexibility and maneuverability, and its unique bipedal structure gives it an advantage in both urban and forest combat.

It has two different weapons, a high-speed rail gun hidden at the back, which can be quickly extended and retracted to strike the enemy and adjust the firing range by changing the posture.

The other is the Fury Cannon, which only appears when in a high position and extends from under the armor. This cannon has terrifying firepower and an extremely long range, enough to destroy most enemy fortifications.

And most importantly - it's really tough! Beneath its overly practical and bland exterior lies a sophisticated alien alloy structure, countless target computers, and transuranium energy nodes.

Sun Yang was very curious about how strong the alien alloy on this armor was, and what the super-axial energy node could bring to him.

But before that - Sun Yang has to defeat it first.

435 Demolition and First Contact

The Fury Cannon, positioned beneath the Destroyer, fired. The exploding shells once again enveloped Sun Yang. The firepower unleashed by this multi-story war machine was far greater than that of any heavy MEC.

Under this bombardment, Sun Yang was somewhat unable to withstand it. He immediately made himself invisible and ran away in the dust created by the salvo.

The Fury Cannon mounted under the war machine activated the scanning module and swept across the smoke and dust, and the results showed that there were no humanoid creatures.

Zila! A spear of sunlight suddenly lit up from not far away, instantly hitting the scanner of the Fury Cannon below the Destroyer. Now it had no chance of finding Sun Yang; it was now just a sitting duck.

Sun Yang couldn't say if these things' scanning capabilities would detect him. Their psychic detection was pretty ridiculous, and there was no telling if the XCOM team's handheld battlefield detectors could even detect him - that little ball-like detector could even detect the invisible Chosen One, which was still outrageous.

In short, just destroy this guy's eyes, and the rest will be easy to deal with.

Sun Yang once again cast a repair spell, mending the damaged armor. His hands ignited with raging flames, and after pushing the power of the spell to its limit, a fireball half the size of a man was formed.

[Seal the Sun] Sun Yang threw out this unstable fireball. When the fireball hit the Destroyer, it obviously made the heavy mecha stagger.

But that's all. After the fireball hit the Destroyer, its shell only turned red. If it had hit the Saturn alloy, it would have been shining hot and could have been used to hit people at any time.

The destroyer immediately turned around and used the magnetic cannon on its back to randomly fire at the location where the fireball had just been fired. But Sun Yang had already run to the other side.

The blue light flashed again, and the spell representing the mystery of soul magic, [Crystal Soul Spear], hit the destroyer's walking structure.

Just like most machines with zero magic resistance, this Destroyer was no exception. Its moving structure was immediately severed by several crystal spears. The Destroyer's main structure fell to the ground with a dull thud.

The Destroyer lacked a walking structure, merely a metal box with a cannon. Sun Yang leaped onto the Destroyer's chassis and pulled out a Saturn alloy dagger, imbued with a layer of powerful magic. A deep blue glow shone on the dagger.

The enchanted dagger easily cut through the thick and tough alien alloy shell. Sun Yang chopped off the magnetic machine gun inside and threw it aside, then stabbed the dagger into the destroyer's control core, putting it into dormant state.

Alright, now we have the remains of the destroyer. Sun Yang clapped his hands, stood up, and continued his destruction mission.

Although Sun Yang can easily smash the Destroyer with magic such as the Crystal Gun, this does not mean that the performance of this machine is poor.

On the contrary, because it uses a large amount of alien alloys as armor, the Destroyer's defense is astonishingly strong.

Even the electromagnetic cannons in the power armor of the humanoids could hardly penetrate the thick layer of alien alloy. If they wanted to shatter this layer of armor, they would have to use large-caliber plasma weapons or mobilize sufficient heavy firepower.

After all, the Destroyer is the most powerful war machine in the hands of the mutant army. Without this level of armed strength, the aliens probably wouldn't be able to engage Earth's forces. The aliens can defeat humans not only by relying on psychic power, but also by fighting humans head-on without sufficient weapons.

As for why Sun Yang's magic was so easy to use... it was purely a matter of affinity. He had learned the most powerful spells in the Dark Souls world.

Whether it is the Crystal Soul Spear of Soul Magic or the Sunshine Spear of Miracles, the descriptions and records clearly state that they have powerful armor-piercing capabilities.

The former has text that clearly states that weapons enchanted with magic can easily cut through metal armor, and the latter, the Spear of Sunlight, is a miracle that Gwyn used to hunt ancient dragons.

The armor-piercing performance of Sun Yang's spells can no longer be viewed from the perspective of individual weapons. There may be no difference between him shooting a crystal soul gun and a modern main battle tank shooting an armor-piercing bullet, or perhaps even stronger.

After all, many armor-piercing shells rely on the metal jet of the shell to penetrate the armor. Some people hang a layer of barbed wire and reactive armor on the outside of the tank to prevent the warhead from starting normally and block it.

Sun Yang's approach is very simple and crude. He can only do simple addition and subtraction. If he can block it, he can block it. If he can't block it, it's useless to pretend. All beings are equal in front of the Crystal Soul Gun.

Sun Yang eventually dismantled the incarnation facility completely. While there might be some intelligence to be gained, he didn't think the person in charge of this base would be foolish enough to leave behind valuable experimental information. So, he decided to simply blow it all up.

It only took Sun Yang a dozen minutes from the start of the war to razing the entire facility to the ground.

No experimental personnel or experimental equipment in the entire facility could escape. Even if they wanted to escape by aircraft, they would be blown to pieces on the spot by Sun Yang using a sunlight gun with tracking capabilities.

Within minutes of the start of the battle, several alien transport planes flew in to provide support. These were rapid reaction forces on standby 24 hours a day, primarily designed to deal with groups like XCOM that could strike and run quickly.

Sun Yang didn't even bother to look at them, and fired several lightning spears to explode them one by one. After the rapid reaction force reinforcements were completely wiped out, Sun Yang breathed a sigh of relief.

After defeating the destroyer, Sun Yang rested on the spot again. He used various spells to demolish the facilities to the ground in the literal sense. Any building taller than him was smashed to pieces by his magic.

Sun Yang had no plans to display the high-tech equipment in his warehouse for the time being. Although it would be more efficient to use it to bombard the aliens, doing so would really make the aliens restless.

His own strength could be attributed to his powerful awakened psychic powers, something the elders could understand. Having strong psychic powers meant one could do whatever they pleased, and the elders were well aware of this.

But if Sun Yang pulled out a nuclear fusion bomb from his trouser pocket, it would be hard to say. This thing has not been invented by aliens or humans. If Sun Yang took it out and blew it up for fun, the aliens would really not be able to sleep and would chase him desperately.

In other worldviews, individual nuclear weapons are the last resort and a weapon for a comeback, but in the Fallout world, they are used by infantry.

"Huh...M4, send another message to the XCOM people. Tell them that I attacked the Avatar facility in New York, and I want to meet at a designated location."

Sun Yang stretched his body and looked at the alien aircraft that were rushing towards him from the city. They should be the mutant troops coming to support them from other directions.

Normally, the addition of a quick reaction force would have allowed the stronghold to hold out long enough to repel XCOM or wait for the arrival of a second wave of reinforcements. However, the enemy they faced this time was truly exceptional. The quick reaction forces were simply treated like fireworks. It would have been better to just run over from the ground, at least Sun Yang's roll call wouldn't have been so fast.

[Yang, XCOM agrees to your request.] M4 responded quickly.

"Finally... You may have to wait for a while before you can set out." Sun Yang reached out and picked up the wreckage of the Destroyer that had fallen to the side, cast an invisibility spell on himself, and left the scene.

Dozens of alien transport planes landed near the wreckage. They pulled out various handheld scanners and scanned the surroundings, but after a long time, they found nothing. Sun Yang had already maintained his stealth and fled when he saw the transport planes.

"Commander, you've completely stolen our limelight." AK12 opened the top of the cockpit, and out of boredom, he pulled out his terminal to play a game.

"You are my cards. When the need arises, I will let you take the stage and catch these aliens off guard." Sun Yang said as he ran towards the designated location.

Only the Iron Blood troops remained silent and calm enough. These Iron Blood puppets would remain on alert until the battle order was lifted.

***

What Sun Yang waited for in the wild was not the Sky Ranger, but a human dressed like a farmer. He drove a convertible with a bag of pots and pans in the back seat, as if he had just bought some things in the city and returned home.

When Sun Yang was wondering whether XCOM was doing some counterintelligence work again, M4's voice came again.

[Yang, the XCOM agent has arrived. I've transferred the call to the phone you looted.] M4 said.

"Oh, okay." Sun Yang snatched the mobile phone from inside the clothes. Although the phone was broken several times during the fierce battle, Sun Yang used repair magic to fix it.

"Hello, Master Sun Yang. I've arrived at the designated location. Where are you?" a male voice immediately rang through Sun Yang's phone. The call was transferred.

How come Master Sun Yang came up right away? I haven't said anything yet. Sun Yang gently touched his head, puzzled.

"I'm here too." Sun Yang stealthily removed his invisibility and emerged from the bushes. The farmer, seeing Sun Yang, tapped the brakes and threw a white ball.

The sphere opened and scanned its surroundings with invisible light. The driver glanced at the tablet in his hand before getting out to greet him.

"It's not the faceless monster. And you're wearing this strange coat. You're the only one who's moving around in it." The man dressed as a farmer looked Sun Yang up and down, then invited Sun Yang to get in the car.

"The faceless monster? The creature that can transform into a human appearance, right?" Sun Yang still had an impression of this alien creature.

"You know that damn thing... Well, of course you know it. How could you not know a psychic master who can kill an entire alien base?" The driver scratched his head and said embarrassedly.

436 Some random chats, meeting with military officers

Faceless monsters are tall, possessing strong survival and attack abilities. Their bodies are extremely flexible, capable of taking on the form and appearance of anyone whose DNA they extract. This group primarily carries out infiltration and intelligence gathering missions within resistance camps in the wild.

When necessary, these tall monsters will reveal their true forms and attack the enemy with their claws.

However, Sun Yang's only impression of these monsters was that they were the raw materials for Mimic Beacons. When Sun Yang was playing, he wished for more Faceless Monsters so he could create more Mimic Beacons with taunting abilities, which were truly magical artifacts.
