In Konoha, Naruto lies down
Page 109
The so-called holding on to the restraints tightly was just a warning to Fenghua Xiaoxue.
Naruto, Sakura, and Anko were all ninjas, and their feet's chakra alone was enough to hold the ground steady. As long as they weren't directly hit by the waves, the person they should be most worried about if they were hiding here should be Fenghua Xiaoxue, an ordinary person.
The sound of approaching huge waves was deafening, the entire hull was shaking violently, and the atmosphere in the cabin was very tense.
"Here it comes!" Hongdou whispered, "The wave is coming! Hold on tight!"
The hull cracked with a bang, a sound like thunder rumbling in my ears. It was like a car traveling at 180 miles per hour crashing into a hard concrete slab, shattering it like plasticine.
Human power and ninjutsu seem powerless and insignificant in front of the roaring deep sea, so all hopes are placed on the big ship.
The huge impact shattered the small room, and the porthole shot out like a cannonball under the huge pressure. Naruto tilted his head with difficulty and dodged the attack from the porthole.
The moment the porthole burst, seawater rushed in frantically. Hongdou grabbed Fenghua Xiaoxue. Naruto and Sakura also rushed over, protecting their target tightly.
It’s not that they are fearless, it’s just that this is what ninjas do.
No matter what happens, as long as the mission is still going on and the senior ninja has not issued an order to terminate the mission, the life of the target person is the first priority.
Sakura stood in front of her target, trying to grab a strap on the wall, but was suddenly knocked away by a stream of water. She felt like she was hit by a hammer, and her arms were instantly unable to lift.
Then half of my body became uncontrollable and my consciousness slowly faded away.
Before she finally closed her eyes, she felt herself being pulled back. She vaguely saw a pair of eyes, deep blue.
Something even more terrifying happened. The entire ship was swept to the bottom of the sea. The cabin was filled with seawater, and the air was getting less and less. Only Hongdou and Naruto were still conscious.
Sakura had been knocked unconscious, and there was no time to check for injuries, so all they could do was drag her out first. The small room had only two centimeters of space in the ceiling, so Naruto and Anko floated up onto their backs and took a deep breath.
They exchanged glances, then each of them dived down with one person in their arms. They exited the room and soon arrived at a flooded corridor, where some air remained in some small spaces.
In an upward-extending triangular space, Hongdou and Naruto surfaced again, dragging the unconscious Sakura and Fuuka Koyuki out of the water.
"Is that person still alive?" Naruto checked Sakura's breath, felt her heartbeat, and then asked Hongdou.
"Alive." Hongdou answered decisively.
"Ten seconds to rest, don't die! You can do whatever you want after you go out!" Hongdou said loudly, "From the deck, follow me!"
These words sounded like a last will and Naruto didn't know what to say. Ten seconds passed very slowly, and with every heartbeat, Naruto would look deeply into Anko's eyes.
This has nothing to do with deep affection. If you really accidentally send it, everyone hopes to see a living thing before they die. It is best to see a person of the opposite sex, a beautiful person of the opposite sex, so that even if you die accidentally, you can still comfort yourself.
In the last second of diving, Naruto's pupils dilated slightly.
He dived down with Anko, the Nine-Tails chakra slowly flowing through his body. Naruto kicked open the hatch that Anko couldn't open underwater.
The bottom of the water was littered with corpses and photographic equipment. Almost everyone was dead, shattered to pieces by the massive waves.
Naruto and Anko struggled in the chaotic current underwater, each dragging a burden.
The raging storm at sea had a serious impact on the waters ten meters below the sea. Feeling the pressure from his lungs, Naruto knew that the depth was definitely more than ten meters.
After finally escaping from the shipwreck, they were surrounded by dark waters. Seeing Anko struggling, Naruto gritted his teeth.
He suddenly dived down, grabbing the unconscious Sakura with one hand and Fuuka Koyuki with the other. Anko was slightly stunned, but the burden on her hands disappeared, and she was able to keep up with Naruto easily.
At this moment, carrying two people alone was indeed very tiring. Naruto felt that his body had almost reached its limit in an instant. His chest felt like it was on fire, painful and burning.
But one with two is always better than one with three. If Hongdou fails, that would be really difficult.
But if that time really came, he would probably just drag Anko and Sakura out of the water. For both public and private reasons, saving Anko took priority over Fuuka and Koyuki.
Red Bean swam at high speed, her agile body like a beautiful snake, and quickly came to Naruto's side.
When he was about to lose strength, Hongdou grabbed Fenghua Xiaoxue's other wrist and relieved Naruto of some pressure like a relay.
Chapter 183 I woke up, will you be disappointed?
On the brink of life and death, there is no way to breathe.
Naruto's brain was about to explode while soaking in the water. The resistance of his left arm decreased, and he almost subconsciously wanted to let go. But he couldn't let go unless he wanted to kill Hongdou.
Naruto couldn't make out the directions, but Anko could.
At this moment, he began to feel fortunate that he had made the right decision not to abandon Anko. There was only endless darkness and surging undercurrents at the bottom of the sea. Anko's clear and steady movements allowed Naruto to sense that they were swimming straight towards the surface.
Two wet people surfaced on the cold sea.
Red Bean's chakra was exhausted, but she still held Fenghua Xiaoxue's hand tightly. Naruto, wrapped in a red chakra coat, slowly stood up from the sea.
The seawater on his body evaporated instantly, leaving white salt grains sticking to his body.
He dragged the unconscious Sakura out of the water and carried her on his back, then walked in front of Hongdou. Hongdou raised her head, but her pupils were erect, just like the pupils of a snake.
Seeing Naruto stunned, Anko's expression changed instantly. When Naruto looked again, the pupils in her eyes returned to normal.
Did you see it wrong?
Naruto frowned slightly, without thinking too much, and dragged Hongdou out of the water. But soon Hongdou sank into the water again, revealing an awkward smile.
"Chakra is depleted."
Naruto was helpless, seeing that the storm had not yet ended, but the huge waves had passed. So he took out the raft from the sealed space and placed Sakura, Red Bean, Fuuka and Koyuki on it.
Four people were floating on the sea, two of them were unconscious, leaving only Naruto and Anko with serious expressions.
"Survived." Hongdou said with emotion.
The raft rose and fell with the waves, but it posed no further threat to the group. As long as no terrifying sea beasts appeared, they had basically saved their lives.
"That's not necessarily true." Naruto said, "We don't even know where this place is."
"Who knows." Hongdou said and was silent for a while.
After a few seconds, Anko began to silently check on the unconscious Kazehana Koyuki. Naruto saw this and pulled the unconscious Sakura over to him and began to sniff her breath and listen to her heart.
"Alive." Hongdou sighed.
"Sakura is alive too," Naruto said.
Red Bean didn't respond, and seemed to be preparing to do something else. Naruto looked at her and planned to imitate Red Bean's first aid. If he could wake up the two of them, it would be much easier.
He watched Hongdou open the collar of Fuuka Koyuki's clothes, so he followed suit and opened Sakura's collar.
Then, he saw something he shouldn't have seen and didn't dare to imitate it any further.
The dancing mountain.
Hongdou used a unique method to wake up Fenghana Koyuki. Naruto realized that this method was probably from Orochimaru, and only he could develop such an efficient method.
Soon, he observed that Fenghua Xiaoxue frowned, coughed, and slowly opened her eyes.
Then there was a scream, and after being glared at by Naruto, she suddenly realized something and immediately quieted down.
Anko frowned when she saw Naruto didn't move, and gestured for him to push Sakura over to her. He did as she was told, and Sakura slowly opened her eyes.
She felt a chill, looked down, then up at Naruto. Her face showed no emotion as she slowly and naturally put on her clothes.
Naruto watched the whole thing without saying a word.
"This is the situation now. Everyone is dead except us." Hongdou fumbled out a few wet military pills from his arms and distributed them to the three people.
“......Are they all dead?” Fenghua Xiaoxue seemed to have not yet come to her senses.
"Yeah, dead." Naruto looked calm.
Sakura did the same, looking towards the sea, occasionally glancing at Naruto. There was a hint of indifference in her eyes, mixed with something else.
"How could they all be dead?" Fenghua Xiaoxue muttered, clutching her head, her body soaking wet. "Not a single one was rescued?"
"Aren't you still alive?" Naruto said in a bad tone, "Princess Fengyun, do you know that in order to save you, we almost all died at the bottom of the sea."
"If you dare say anything sanctimonious, I will throw you into the sea three hundred times."
Fenghua Xiaoxue was stunned. She saw the serious look on Naruto's face. When she thought about her current situation... she knew that the yellow-haired man was not trying to scare her. He would really do such a thing.
But she still tried to resist a little and whispered.
"I didn't mean to say that, but..."
Naruto ignored her and turned to look at Anko and asked.
"Where is this?"
"How should I know?" Hongdou said, "It might be the sea near the Snow Country, or maybe somewhere else."
"This isn't the Snow Country's waters," Fenghua Xiaoxue said. "...The water's color is different, so this might be the deep sea."
Upon hearing this, the two of them tilted their heads and looked at Fenghua Xiaoxue.
red beans:"......."
Naruto: “….”
After another day of drifting on the sea, the four of them squeezed into a raft, relying on the supplies Naruto had sealed in the space, the four of them lived quite well. Although they didn't know where Blind Gil had drifted to, at least he wouldn't die for a while.
"Why do you prepare everything?" Hongdou was a little confused.
Red Bean was not surprised that Naruto had space ninjutsu. His master was one of the three ninjas, the Toad Sage of Myoboku Mountain, and the Fifth Hokage had a good personal relationship with him.
With this network of resources, Red Bean would not be too surprised even if Naruto used some forbidden techniques.
But Naruto had everything from rafts to fresh water, food, drinks, daily necessities, camping equipment, fishing gear, winter and summer clothes, and even several sets of blankets and quilts. It was really too much.
If Naruto were a woman, Anko even doubted he could come up with dozens of boxes of sanitary napkins.
"I have money and nowhere to spend it, so of course I buy a little bit of everything." Naruto answered casually, "Who knows when it might be useful, it's better to be prepared."
Red Bean suddenly remembered that Naruto was alone, and suddenly looked embarrassed as if she had said something wrong, and said sorry. Naruto was stunned for a moment before he understood and said it was okay.
He didn't care about this kind of thing and was used to being alone.
After a long time, Fenghua Xiaoxue suddenly said something to Hongdou, then stood up with a calm expression and began to lift her skirt at the edge of the raft.
Naruto turned his head and met Sakura's gaze.
Sakura also stared at him, then lowered her eyes and leaned towards him, asking in his ear.
"What were you thinking when you rescued me?"
Hongdou didn't look at them at all, she just held Fenghua Xiaoxue's hand to prevent her from falling into the water. She stared blankly at the endless sea, not knowing what she was thinking.
Naruto felt his ear itchy, and warm breath touched his earlobe.
"Nothing," he said.
"Then you..." Sakura didn't hide it anymore. She glanced at Fenghua Xiaoxue who had returned to her original position and continued to ask in a low voice, "Did you save me because you didn't want her to die?"
"No."
"Then I'm the one who woke up. Will you be disappointed?" Sakura hung on Naruto and asked softly, her voice very calm.
"Why do you think so?"
Sakura didn't say anything, but sat back in silence, her pupils as dark as ink, looking away. This made Naruto feel a little uncomfortable, but he couldn't say it out loud.
The sun was scorching hot during the day, so the group hid under umbrellas. Sakura remained silent, Naruto didn't like to talk much either, but Anko would chat with Fuuka and Koyuki from time to time.
The two chatted mostly about the details leading up to the accident, suspecting the captain was suspicious and wondering if there were ninjas among the sailors. But after all that talk, they still had no clue.
No one would scheme against others and include his own life in the scheme.
After several discussions, the two could only come to the conclusion that the cause was more accidental than man-made. They attributed the distress largely to the rough seas and the mysterious evil spirit.
Naruto couldn't listen any longer and interrupted.
"Aren't matters of the sea under the jurisdiction of the Sea God? What does that have to do with the Evil God?"
"How would I know?" Hongdou turned around in confusion and asked, "Isn't that what everyone says? Why are you arguing so much?"
Naruto didn't take the criticism to heart, and shrank back under the umbrella with a wry smile.
He and Sakura shared a large umbrella, while Anko shared one with Fuuka and Koyuki. When the wind was strong, they would fold up their umbrellas. Or, when the wind was steady, they would simply use them as sails.
At dusk, the light on the sea becomes dimmer and dimmer.
Naruto asked as he took a sip of water and looked at Anko who was sitting quietly across from him.
"Does Konoha know that we are missing?"
"It's hard to say." Hongdou's words dispelled Naruto's expectations, "The mission deadline for the Snow Country is one month. If I don't return in a month, Konoha will react."
"But it will probably take quite a while to find you, since you have a special identity." Hongdou continued, "But right now, even we don't know where we are."
"Hmm... the probability of finding it is basically zero, unless we see land."
