In Konoha, Naruto lies down
Page 67
The last few slices of grilled meat were placed on the barbecue plate by Choji. Naruto subconsciously raised his hand to order a few more plates, but Choji grabbed his hand and said.
"That's enough. If you eat any more, there won't be room in my stomach for a midnight snack."
Choji was indeed the type who would eat a midnight snack, so it was normal for him to make room for it. Seeing this, Naruto also sat down.
Taking advantage of the time to digest, Shikamaru suddenly mentioned Sakura.
Naruto was stunned for a moment, and immediately remembered that he seemed to have forgotten Sakura. There were too many things going on recently and he had been working non-stop. If Shikamaru hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't have remembered it at all.
"I'm not sure. I didn't bring Sasuke back, and I don't know how to face Sakura."
"This isn't your responsibility alone." Shikamaru practically leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. "He wanted to run away on his own. Who can bring him back?"
"He didn't tell anyone before he ran away, so we couldn't possibly know what he was thinking."
"I haven't thought too much about it. I don't know what to say for now, so let's not meet." Naruto touched the glass with his hand, and the red watermelon juice was reflected in his pupils.
"Guest, move slowly."
The three of them walked out of the barbecue restaurant and prepared to separate on Konoha Street.
With a bang, the two gate gods suddenly jumped down from the roof and stood in front of the three people. Before Shikamaru could ask anything, Gang Zi Tie said to Naruto.
"Naruto, come with us to the Hokage Building. Lady Tsunade wants to see you."
"Now? What's going on?" Naruto looked confused.
"Yes, it seems that someone from Sunagakure specifically wants to see you." Kamijutsuki Izumo added.
......
The Hokage Building was brightly lit.
When Naruto arrived, Tsunade had already left, leaving her secretary Shizune to take Naruto to meet the last group of ninjas who had withdrawn from Sunagakure.
When Naruto saw Shizune taking him to the reception room, but found that Temari was the only visitor from Sunagakure, he understood.
Shizune was present, and she skillfully exchanged greetings and polite greetings with Temari.
"The Fire Nation and the Wind Nation are allies..."
Listening to the conversation between Temari and Shizune, Naruto suddenly felt bored. He glanced at Temari, looking from top to bottom, but found that the woman was looking at him out of the corner of her eye.
Naruto's mouth twitched. He was not sure whether this woman had returned to normal. Seeing how calm and confident she was when talking to Shizune, it seemed that she had gotten over her depressed mood.
Under the light, Temari's smile is as charming as a flower.
He didn't pay much attention to it, staring at a corner in a trance until Temari started to mention his name and thanked Konoha for their understanding and help to Sunagakure.
He also expressed gratitude and recognition for Konoha's efforts in developing bilateral relations and put forward a tentative idea for further strengthening cooperation in people's livelihood.
When Naruto was drowsy, Temari walked in front of him. He seemed to notice something and looked up to see a smiling face.
"Thank you," she said.
"Ah, no need." Naruto wasn't sure what she was referring to, so she called over just to say thank you?
"A little gift for you."
Temari handed a palm-sized gift box to Naruto, and without stopping, she walked straight outside.
Naruto casually tossed the gift box, which was unusually light, and immediately had a bad association. Before Temari left, an idea suddenly emerged in his mind.
The secretary wearing black stockings, Shizue, stayed in the reception room to organize the content of the previous conversation and record it in writing for Tsunade to review.
"I go first."
"Okay." Shizue responded without even looking up.
He said hello and left, walking quickly into the corridor. He looked around but couldn't see Temari. He randomly guessed the direction and finally saw Temari's back in the front of the long and narrow corridor.
Under the light, Temari's back is slender, and her long legs are as white and smooth as lotus roots, adding a layer of mature temperament.
"Wait a minute." He called out to Temari who was standing at the end of the corridor and about to leave.
"What's wrong?" The latter turned around and looked at Naruto with a puzzled look across the long corridor.
"Let me touch it." Naruto ordered without changing his expression.
Hearing this, Temari was silent for a while and then said angrily.
"What kind of crazy talk are you talking about? You pervert!..."
Naruto at the other end of the corridor listened to Temari's scolding with an expressionless face. It went in one ear and out the other without saying anything. He turned around and left in the opposite direction.
Watching Naruto's gradually blurred back, Temari stood there for a while with her lips pursed, then took a few steps and turned to the other end of the corridor. She slid down the wall where no one could see her and sat down on the ground.
In the dim corridor light, there was a strange look in his eyes.
It should be back to normal in a few days. It's really too much of a stretch now.
Holding onto the wall, she slowly stood up, a smile forming on her lips as she thought of the gift she had given. As if she had finally managed to win the game, she slowly stood up and left.
"Looking forward to our next meeting." Temari murmured.
In front of the Hokage building.
Naruto opened the gift box as he walked, with a frown on his forehead.
"Who are you looking down on? Damn it."
Muttering to himself, Naruto left with a bored look on his face.
When he got home, he suddenly realized he still needed to take a shower. The summer night was just as hot. With a confused and chaotic mood, he stepped into the bathroom, filled the water, and sank in.
The high-level meeting should be held in the next few days. The hot water immersed his body. Naruto leaned in the bathtub with the bathroom door wide open, without any defense.
He thought about what Tsunade had said, and thought to himself that this high-level meeting should be a high-level meeting in a broad sense, rather than a small circle meeting of the Hokage, Danzo and two advisors.
The patriarchs of the major families in Konoha are generally considered to be high-level officials and have the right to speak. If Danzo takes this opportunity to bring in all the patriarchs to express their opinions.
This can indeed weaken Tsunade's voice and voting rights as the Fifth Hokage, and can even suppress Tsunade's power in a fair and open manner.
This is not a conspiracy, but an open conspiracy.
But Tsunade didn't say much to him, so Naruto naturally wouldn't be so tactless as to ask further questions. Whether or not the high-level meeting could be won depended largely on Tsunade's performance.
I was enjoying a comfortable bath when I suddenly heard the sound of keys turning hurriedly at the door.
Ok?
Before Naruto could react, the door was opened with a bang, and at the same time, Ino's voice was heard.
"You you you!!! Get out!"
Ino took off her shoes and ran to the bathroom door. When she saw Naruto taking a bath, she couldn't help but scream.
"Why don't you close the door when you take a shower?"
"No one's home, why should I close the door?" Naruto said with dead eyes, "Not only do I want to leave the door open, I don't even plan to get dressed."
"Ah!!! Pervert, greedy pervert!" Ino turned away, her face flushed. "You you you!!! Get out!"
There was a splash of water, and Naruto stood up from the bathtub. Ino immediately covered her eyes and ran away, jumping onto the sofa to hide.
"What are you doing here so late?" Naruto came out wrapped in a bathrobe and asked while drying his hair, "Isn't Auntie worried about you?"
"I..." Ino suddenly realized that she didn't seem to have anything to say, "I have the key. I can come whenever I want."
"Yes, yes." He said to Ino as if he was coaxing a child, "Of course you can come anytime since you have the key, but have you kept it a secret from Auntie?"
"Ah?" Ino opened her lips slightly, looking adorable as if she had just remembered something. "I forgot. Mother must have known I was here."
"So why are you here?" Naruto asked again in a roundabout way.
This time, Ino was a little slow to react and blurted out the answer.
"Tsunade-sama told me that you and..."
Ino suddenly stopped talking halfway through, looked at Naruto with a wary look, and said.
"Nothing, I just couldn't sleep, so I came over to check on you."
"Lady Tsunade." Naruto frowned, "That woman is really idle. She is already the fifth generation, but she still does nothing all day long."
Ino sat obediently on the sofa, her body straight and motionless, feeling very nervous.
She accidentally betrayed Lady Tsunade by a slip of the tongue, and now there was a person wrapped in a bath towel standing next to her.
"Wait a moment, I'll change my clothes and take you back." Naruto said without looking back and walked straight into the room, "Pour your own water."
Ino didn't move, just sat on the sofa blankly. Even after Naruto came out wearing his clothes, she still didn't move.
"what happened to you?"
"I feel a little uncomfortable." Ino said, her mouth curled down unconsciously.
"Then don't go back. Sleep here for the night." Naruto walked to the entrance and said while putting on his shoes, "I'll go tell my aunt so that they can rest assured."
"Wait a minute!" Ino couldn't sit still any longer. She rushed to the door and grabbed him. Her eyes widened as she asked in disbelief, "Are you crazy? Are you really going?"
"Aren't you feeling unwell?" Naruto had already changed his shoes and pretended not to understand. "How could such an important matter be fake?"
"Don't go, come back quickly!" Ino's face flushed and she grabbed Naruto's arm tightly.
"If you don't want to go, you have to give me a reason," he said.
Chapter 115 Doing Something Others Don’t Know
"I'm not happy!" Ino said frankly.
"Why?" Naruto looked Ino up and down, "What did Lady Tsunade say to make you so angry?"
"I am not angry."
"Okay, you're not mad." He glanced out the door, then back at Ino, "So are you planning on staying with me today, or going home?"
Ino hesitated for a moment: "Go home."
Since he was still rational, this made the situation easier. Naruto took off his shoes and pulled Ino back to the living room.
"Wait a mininute."
Water was boiling in the kitchen, insects chirped outside the window, and beyond that, darkness reigned. The light in the living room was clear and steady, like a beacon on a pitch-black sea.
The two of them stood in the kitchen, Ino whispered as she watched him pour the cocoa.
"I'm not angry anymore."
"What did Lady Tsunade say to you?" Naruto asked.
"She said...she said you took the panties from the Sand Village princess. You must have...have..." Ino stopped talking halfway, "Well, this kind of thing is actually nothing."
"The Fifth Hokage is really..." Naruto was speechless. Tsunade was really a useless woman.
"It's just a sock. I threw it away."
"really?"
"what."
With a click, the hot water is ready.
"Let me do it." Ino pushed Naruto into the living room, and he simply lay down.
Turning his head to look at the darkness outside the window, and then looking at Ino who was busy in the kitchen, Naruto suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu of married life.
Although the Temari incident was troublesome, nothing actually happened. I guess she has returned to normal now.
He was also glad that he did not take advantage of the situation. Otherwise, Temari would not have sent friendly signals to Konoha on behalf of Sunagakure on the eve of her departure.
Originally, this matter had nothing to do with him, but by specifically calling him, it became related. At least in the high-level meeting, leaving a written record of Temari and Shizune's conversation would be of some use.
After all, the handling of the Jinchūriki was the first major event since Tsunade lost the Uchiha during her reign. In other words, it was a game between the old and new forces in Konoha.
Everyone assumes that the Nine-Tails and the Jinchūriki are inseparable, and there is a certain possibility of becoming a perfect Jinchūriki.
But the actual situation was that Naruto planned to remove the tail and even found a new container for the Nine-Tails.
"What are you thinking about?" Ino came out with cocoa, and pulled Naruto up from the couch, saying unhappily, "Get up quickly."
"I'm wondering when I can see a maid costume, no... a maid with black stockings."
"You really are!" Ino gritted her teeth.
"But there's nothing like that here, and I left my clothes at home, so it's really a shame."
