"I know it's a dumb question, but how did you know I was admitted to the hospital?"

"Since you became my responsibility, all your information was delivered to me in case your dad re-sold you to someone else for extra money." looking at her softly "And I am glad I had thought of that or else you might have been in one of the brothels in town, as your father had tried it once."

Hearing all the extra information, made her realize that she did not know her parents that well at all. How is she to believe in them from now onwards? She did not feel safe staying in that place anymore, nor did she feel safe keeping Sam in that house? Cause she was an adult and would be leaving the house in 2 months, but her 10 year old baby brother was still a baby.

All she could think of were ways she would be able to protect him, it all included money which she did not have.

Seeing Sofia thinking hard, he softly asked "What are you thinking so hard about?"

"I want to work. Hopefully in my field of studies, but to do that I would have to leave town. And everything else I'm good at is not really needed in this town. I dont want to leave town." answered Sofia dejectedly. All of her options were leading her out of town, and that way she would not be able to help her brother out when he needs it the most.

"What else are you good at? I might be able to help."

"I'm good with kids. I did basically raise my brother."

"Well then, that makes it easy. I have a 2 year old son who needs a female in his life. His mother died during childbirth and every other female wants to get into my pants so not really comfortable with leaving him in their care. Would you like the job? It would pay well and all your amenities will be covered, that way you can spend all your money as you see fit."

An appealing offer was on the table, all she needed to do was say yes and she would be able to take care of her brother. Thinking it through once again, Sofia was completely on board.
