“Why did you bring him back again?”

The Mer-King conveniently tossed Lu Meng onto the ground. Hearing these words, he paused, blank, “Again? I’ve met him?”

The man was helpless, it had taken him much effort to placate his lover’s fury in hopes of preventing the situation from escalating to unredeemable consequences, but in the end, an innocent person had still ended up injured.

The man staunched Lu Meng’s bleeding with seagrass herbs, and the Mer-King was displeased, but thinking back to how the man had flown into a rage earlier, he sighed. Never mind, he would let it be just this once. After all, wasn’t it he who had always indulged the other too much?

“I want to hear one.” The man placed a kiss to the tip of his ear.

A sweet-sounding yet hollow singing voice drifted outwards from the Mer-King’s imperial palace; Something that had been imprisoned within Lu Meng seemed to quietly break free.

“Someone’s come looking for him.”

“All right.” The man held his lover’s waist in a tender embrace and watched Li Ze pull Lu Meng into his arms. Then, using the power that the Mer-King had shared with him, he led these two people back to the shore.

These two Major General Alphas were so young, it seems the Federation already had qualified successors.
