Riolu is smaller and has a blue body, resembling a puppy.

Its legs and lower part of its torso are black.

Riolu has a blue tail and a yellow collar. On the back of Riolu's front paw, there is a white round lump. When Riolu evolves into Lucario, this round block will grow into nails.

In addition, Riolu has a pair of red eyes and black lines on his face that resemble a mask.

Similar to Lucario, Riolu has toes for walking.
