Lin Feilu had her attendants retire for the night before she turned off the lights and sat on the bed.

She closed her eyes, recalling the figure just now in the dark night.

No one spoke. After a long while, Lin Feilu stood on tiptoe and slowly stretched out her hand to remove the mask on his face. He didn’t move away but bent slightly to cooperate with her movements, allowing her to remove the mask.

The face under the mask was the familiar face in her memory.

He curled his lips, looked down at her tenderly, and said with a low smile, “Princess, we meet again.”

The fragrance of the late spring’s flowers was getting rather strong.

Lin Feilu held the cold mask and swallowed subconsciously.

Song Jinglan still leaned slightly towards her, but his expression remained unchanged. He only asked her suspiciously, “What is the Princess afraid of?”

Lin Feilu shuddered and repeatedly denied, “I… I’m not afraid of anything!” She pursed her lower lip and stammered, “Your Highness, how could you… why are you here?”
