We Are Destined to Meet
Chapter 18
18. I’m Homeless
Translator: Iris GuoMo Fei’er put down the goblet and poured the wine, “I just do what I want. Since I’ve splashed the wine onto you, you can also do the same to me!”
This girl was reasonable, which impressed me.
I had quarrels with numerous women, but I had never met this straightforward type.
I didn’t have to say anything. I took the goblet and threw a cup of alcohol onto her face.
In the next three minutes, we emptied eight bottles of wine. The two women standing there were dumbfounded.
Mo Fei’er wiped her face with her hands when the bottles on the table were all empty.
“Okay, let’s get to the point. Tell me how you hook up with Ling Xiao.” Being afraid I didn’t understand, she added, “What’s his favorite sex position?”
‘What?’
I was stunned because of her words. ‘Her thoughts are fickle. She’s a little off!’
My mind went blank for a while, and I decided not to answer her question, “Sorry, I need to change my clothes.”
“All right, I will come with you. My clothes are wet.”
Before I could respond, Mo Fei’er held my hand and led me upstairs.
I changed my clothes in a room on the second floor. Turning around, I saw Mo Fei’er who was waiting for me with a bottle of wine in her hand.
She opened her mouth seriously after I finished, “Tell me how you hook up with Ling Xiao.”
She was so earnest and serious, which made me burst out laughing.
She became displeased, “What are you laughing at?”
I couldn’t help but smirk. After I calmed down, I sat on the sofa, “Ms. Mo, this is the most interesting quarrel I ever have. May I ask how old you are? Are you 20?”
Mo Fei’er poured wine into a glass and put it in front of me. She took another cup of wine, drinking it in one gulp, “I’m 21.”
I nodded, “Well, I’m 23. I’m older than you.”
“Does Ling Xiao like old women?” Said Mo Fei’er.
I was speechless.
‘Fuck! Old women?’ I roared inwardly. ‘This girl is too straightforward!’
I even became fond of her.
It was hard to meet a woman who I liked, so I decided to explain the relationship between Ling Xiao and me. I didn’t want her to misunderstand.
“Ms. Mo, Ling Xiao is my husband’s uncle. He’s my uncle. That’s all. I never hook up with him. I’m here because he helped me before.”
Mo Fei’er stared at me incredulously, “But every man out there peeped at you. Every woman backbit you. They say you are a slut.”
Taking a sip of the wine, I raised my head and asked, “Do you believe them?”
She was quiet for a while. “But you didn’t explain anything. It seemed that you didn’t care about that.” She said.
I grinned. She didn’t hide her real self from me, and spoke out what was on her mind. I really liked her personality.
I jiggled the glass, and said casually, “I became a street kid when I was twelve. I’ve heard rumors, gossip, hearsay and conjectures. I get used to them, so I don’t care.”
“But today I might let you down. I never sleep with Ling Xiao, and don’t know his favorite position.”
My composure might convince Mo Fei’er. She didn’t ask.
There was a moment of complete silence. She then raised her glass, “You can call me Mo Fei’er. Those two women aren’t my friends. I’m not that kind of person.”
I lifted my glass to hers and gulped down the wine.
We were on a drinking spree in the next few hours. Then we both passed out.
Ling Xiao carried me out of the room. He walked over to the car with a long face, and tried to throw me onto the seat.
Dizzy, I clenched his necktie and groaned, “Ling Mubai, you bastard. Do you want to hit me again?”
Frowning, Ling Xiao fastened my seatbelt. I heard a deep voice, “Stay still. I’ll drive you home.”
The door closed. I closed my eyes, but tears slowly dropped out.
‘Drive me home? Hah ha… Do I have a home?’
I had become homeless when my mom died.
Only when my heart settled down could I find a home.
My blurry memory told me I had thrown up in his car and stained his clothes. How awkward!
Last night, I wailed, not knowing when I fell asleep. I only remembered that Ling Xiao had tucked me in, left and closed the door.
The next morning, I woke up alone.
I sat up and scratched my head. I tried to recall what happened yesterday, but in vain. ‘What a mess!’
I sent Ling Xiao a thank-you message, and stumbled out of his room.
Walking along the street, I felt at a loss. I didn’t know where to go.
The wedding room wasn’t a good choice. I decided to go back to the apartment where I had lived with Mei. I should pack up my stuff and find a new place.
But I didn’t expect that Ling Mubai was there.
