What’s the point of cultivating immortality if you don’t have money?

Let's talk about the new book and ask for continued readership.

The new book has been out for almost a month, and many readers like it, which makes me, as the author, very happy. I wish I could keep my phone in my pocket all day long.

The initial inspiration for this book should have come from cyberpunk, but I always felt a sense of separation from Western cyberpunk content. What I wanted to write was Xianxia cyberpunk, like the difference between Cthulhu and Chinese Cthulhu.

Some old readers may know that I had a similar attempt in the book before the one before last, which was 'The Tribulation of Tomorrow.' However, at that time, my understanding of cyberpunk was very superficial. It was just cool equipment, readily available prosthetics, and mass-produced combat power.

It can only be said that the cyberpunk elements at that time were just fashionable items in my book, a kind of embellishment.

In 'Records of the Ancient Days,' the book before last, I tried to add some content about borrowing and repaying debts under the cultivation system, trying to build a more cyberpunk-style cycle of interests. This can be considered as truly having a bit of the atmosphere of Xianxia cyberpunk. But my level was still insufficient, and my understanding was not deep enough. I still couldn't write the Xianxia cyberpunk flavor I wanted.

Then, in my previous book, 'I Said I Would Turn Back Time,' I directly wrote the Immortal Realm in that book as a cyberpunk Immortal Realm. It's a pity that due to the inconsistency of the style before and after, coupled with my own physical discomfort and the protagonist's excessive strength, I failed to write well about this Immortal Realm, and it ended hastily.

Now, after several years of accumulation, I have a deeper understanding of the Xianxia cyberpunk flavor I want. I feel like I can finally write a unique and interesting novel.

As more and more readers pour in, this book has gradually shifted from my initial personal interest to a growing sense of responsibility. Every day, looking at the words you leave, I feel that I can't let down the love of so many readers.

But this book is really difficult to write. Because the world view and the characters' thoughts are relatively special, I always need to switch my mindset to continue writing. Sometimes, while writing... I unconsciously turn to normal thinking and write the plot too normally, so I have to delete it and rewrite it. For example, I just deleted two chapters.

In addition, the world view also needs to be constantly deduced, so I can't write quickly... laughing and crying emoticon.

Finally, I want to say, dear readers, you have all shown your unique talents and amazing skills in the chapter comments. It's truly wonderful and makes us feel ashamed.
