The Mall had merely 3 floors. Its architecture was like an old traditional building, but it had an escalator.

"The broken down escalator was the first one 'Moving stairs' in the country. My grand grandfather installed it."

Tress and foliage all around were withered. Shattered glass, broken ceiling tiles, and pools of water covered the floor of the mall.

Strangely enough, Li Wei was acting like a kid exploring the abandoned mall. Jumping on the ledges trying to balance himself as he walked over fearlessly, he was grinning.

On the second floor, Stacks of trash and old shelving units fill one of the walkways.

"This was a jewelry store. It was where men bought women engagement rings." Li Wei remembered he still hasn't brought a ring for her. Yet he had no money. He decided to buy a ring for her first as soon as he gets money.

The Third Floor was similar to other worn down building "This Floor was my favorite. It had a food court and game arcade machines."

He looked his desolated place and sighed: "I remember visiting the Santa Claus here for Christmas."

Talkin her hand, he pulled her to the food court. It had beautiful colors, red, yellow lights which were apparently not working. Electric cables have been left hanging.

"Big Z movie hot its iconic dance scene there."

After their tour, Li Wei sighed:" Once a stylish mall now has faded all its charm."

His gaze fell on the Ten-floor Building. 'Phoenix Mall.'

On the opposite side of the street, was another mall Lit and busy with people rushing in and out constantly as opposed to this desolated place.

Massaging his forehead, Li Wei said: " This place should be demolished. "

Shocked by the fact that the person who was mesmerized by this place recollecting his childhood memories was now thinking of wrecking it.

"So, You are not planning to rebuild it?"

"It is useless. Look at this mall just opposite ours. It has 10 floors ours is only 3 floors. How can it run successfully with such a big competition? Investing here is wasting money like putting it down the drain. The Phoenix mall belongs to the Yu family, they have already offered to buy this place raze 80,000 square feet into a parking space for their mall." Li Wei had a sly smile.

"Will your family agree to it. Don't they expect you to make it work?" Rushi was surprised and disappointed by his words.

"Don't tell them about my plan. They are just emotionally attached to this place. We must be a bit more practical as a businessman. I will instead pocket the money and use for our needs. At least there would be no loss."
