I asked mia,"why were you lying?".

mia turned and asked "what do you mean?"

"you lied for your reason for detention, not only today but yesterday also. you were never late to class today. in fact you were early."

"what were you doing in the first floor?"

"first floor? what do you mean? aren't people restricted from going there....so how would a perfect student like me be there that to at such an hour." mia said acting clueless.

"you can quit acting now, I only said that you were there in the first floor I never said anything about the time. you buried your own grave." I said

mia said"I am not required to tell you anything"and then walked away.

"did you have to say that". I turned to see Cleo leaning on the wall with her legs crossed and hands in her skirt pocket.

"I didn't have to....but it's nice to get some revenge" I said looking at her.

"really... I think you said that so that she will stay away from you. just make sure it doesn't backfire."Cleo said

"i FORGET TO SAY SOMETHING TO MAX!" I panicked and began running. Cleo began following me and screamed, "what did you forget?".

"I forget to tell him about the ghost" I said as we carefully walked towards the staircase without anyone noticing us.

Cleo whispered"ghost?" as we slowly walked to the first floor.

I saw max. he was about to scream. I covered his mouth with my hand and said "shhh"
