now this was just odd, half of the day was already over and i still haven't seen max even once. i decided to skip classes and search for him as he didn't pick up my calls and hasn't seen any of my messages yet.

as i was searching a girl came towards me and reached out her hand for a handshake and said,"i am bethany. i am the vice president of the highschool student council."

i shaked her and said,"alex."

"follow me alex" she said and weirdly enough i did.

she took me to a room and said me to wait there for a minute. the room was smaller compared to the classrooms, there were two bookshelves filled with books and the table in the middle of the room also had a lot of books on it.

a minute later she came back and took me to another room. james. he was the only in the the sitting behind a dark brown table. it was the first time i had seen him. i had heard of him from jack and have seen his picture from the various pranks the friends pulled on each other. if james was a card he would certainly be the joker. a wild card. a person to always be wary of.

as much as i wanted to chit chat i got to the point. i went to the table and slammed the piece of paper in my hand. "what does mean?" i asked.

the paper had congratulations written on it. i had found it in the room they had me wait before. the paper stuck out to me so i decided to see what it was.

"not bad" he said.

bethany brought a laptop and placed it on the table. james typed a few thingsnbefore turning it to me. it played two videos side by side, one had max and another had a blond girl i did not recognize.

max had also found the paper just like me but didn't take it instead he told about the paper when he had met james.

the blond on the other hand was completely different. she not only took the paper with her like i did but when she met james she started sayings all information about him. 'how did she know all that' i wondered.

"so what am i supposed to understand from this" i asked

"do you want to be a USD member" he asked as he closed the laptop.
