WPS 97 is a set of Chinese word processing software running under Windows 3.X and Windows 95 environments. While retaining the original text editing method, it supports the "what you see is what you get" word processing method.

It can be said that the software companies at that time mainly focused on Sinicization and word processing systems, because this type of software was in great demand in China, and also included some electronic forms, multimedia presentation production, image processing and other functions. Software, large companies have a very high demand for these software, which is also a key project developed by domestic software companies.

It can be seen from the development process of Jinshan that the current domestic software is still attached to foreign system operating platforms. Word relied on Microsoft's Windows system to successfully defeat Jinshan's WPS system and quickly seized Chinese users. Later, Through technological innovation and cooperation with Microsoft, WPS97 gradually regained some word processing systems.

In other words, a system platform with a relatively high penetration rate plays a decisive role for any application software. Whoever owns a system software with a relatively high penetration rate can occupy a leading position in software development. .

The domestic operating system developed by Tianyin Group has begun to be popularized and promoted by domestic government departments, enterprises and institutions, which undoubtedly gives Duan Yun a very important position in the domestic software market.

It is precisely because of this that Duan Yun intends to establish his own software alliance before Windows 95 is officially launched, so as to popularize domestic operating systems in the country as much as possible.

In the current domestic market, apart from Kingsoft, there are two well-known software companies, namely UFIDA and Kingdee.

UFIDA was established in 1988. At first, the company was called UFIDA Electronic Financial Technology Co., Ltd., and mainly developed a financial statement preparation software called UFO.

Kingdee was established in 1993.Kingdee released the first Windows financial software in China.

It is said that the software that UFIDA and Kingdee originally created and developed was financial software, but in fact the user groups targeted by the two companies are different, and each has its own characteristics.

Kingdee is positioned as a private small and medium-sized enterprise. It is more flexible in the financial details of the software and can better meet the management needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In terms of software operation, Kingdee advocates: simplicity, speed, and efficiency, which also makes the training of software operators much easier. Novices only need a short time to get started, but the functions are relatively simple.

UFIDA is located in government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and large enterprises.

In the 90s, with the support of the government, UFIDA took the lead in seizing the market, and the computerization of many schools is also the UFIDA Financial Communication series, thus establishing its leading position in the industry.

Both Kingdee and UFIDA are the most mature financial software service providers. The software can well solve the company’s financial management needs, such as making accounts and issuing reports, etc. It’s just that the focus of the software may be different, which is intuitively reflected in some software interfaces, Module application, but the final effect is the same, so there is little difference between Kingdee and UFIDA, both can be used.

As far as the current domestic PC users and needs are concerned, most of them are enterprises, institutions and related professionals, and financial statements are their most commonly used software. At present, both Kingdee and UF are headquartered in BJ. Wang Wenjing is also a legend of Chinese technology companies. He was born in Shangrao County, JX Province in 1964.His father was a coal miner and his mother was a farmer. Reading and herding cattle accompanied his childhood. In 1979, 15-year-old Wang Wenjing was admitted to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. After graduation, he was assigned to the State Council Administration Bureau.

From formally working at the age of 19 to resigning in 1988, Wang Wenjing worked in government agencies for 5 years.He has done two major things: one is to draft the administrative accounting system of the central state organs; the other is to be responsible for the implementation of the computerized administrative accounting work of the central state organs.

In the process of promoting accounting computerization, he found that almost every unit has a strong demand for financial systems, which is an extremely broad market.Therefore, Wang Wenjing made an important decision: to resign and start a business in Zhongguancun.

In December 1988, Wang Wenjing and his good friend Su Qiqiang borrowed 12 yuan from the first user, rented a small bungalow on Haidian South Road, bought a Great Wall microcomputer, and formally established UFIDA Software Service Agency.

During the day, Wang Wenjing went out on a bicycle to sell the concept of financial software. The products he sold were not yet available. At night, he went home to write financial software programs, usually until late at night. In 2 years, Wang Wenjing finally developed the software that can make UFIDA gain a foothold in the market - UFO financial statement software.

In April 1990, UF's financial software passed the review of the Ministry of Finance.Since then, the market has really opened up, and UFO has become the rising work of UF.
