Chapter 267 Dinner
Chapter 267 Dinner
In the end, Hermione didn't dwell on the issue too much.
What else could she say?
After all these years, Tiera finally gave her a gift that was somewhat decent. What more could she ask for?
After that, Tiera gave the useless "Neptune Trident" to Ron, who was equally useless.
But Ron was ecstatic; he still felt it was the coolest gift he had ever received.
Clearly, although Tiera brought many alchemical items, she had no intention of giving any of them to Ginny.
“I think they’re probably done arguing.” Hermione noticed Ginny looking at Ron with a hint of envy, then glancing shyly at Harry. To cover up her momentary embarrassment, she said, “Shall we go downstairs and help your mother prepare dinner?”
“Okay, fine,” Ron said, leaning the trident against his wall. Hermione also left Gandalf’s Staff in Ron’s room. Only Harry put on the glasses Tyrell had given him and carefully put away his original pair.
The five of them went downstairs and found Mrs. Weasley busy in the kitchen by herself, seemingly in a terrible mood.
“We’ll eat in the garden outside,” Mrs. Weasley said in her gentle voice as they entered. “There’s not enough room for twelve people. Girls, could you take these plates out? Bill and Charlie are setting the table. You three, take the cutlery.”
As she gave instructions to Tyella, Harry, and Ron, she tapped a pile of potatoes in the pool with her wand. However, she didn't expect that she would use too much force, and the potatoes would peel off their skins so quickly that they would all jump onto the walls and ceiling.
"Oh, dear," she said angrily, and tapped her wand again at a sideways dustpan, which immediately jumped up and slid across the floor, picking up the potatoes one by one.
"Those two!" she said viciously, pulling out a bunch of pots and pans from the cupboard. "I don't know what they'll become. They have no ambition whatsoever, all they do is find ways to cause trouble..."
Mrs. Weasley slammed a large brass stew pot onto the kitchen table, plunged her wand inside, and swirled it around. As she stirred, a stream of creamy sauce gushed from the tip of her wand.
“They’re not unintelligent,” Mrs. Weasley said, putting the stew pot on the stove, poking it with her wand to light the fire, and continuing angrily, “but their intelligence is misplaced. Unless they quickly pull themselves together and change their ways, they’re in big trouble! More owls fly in from Hogwarts every year to complain about them than all the others combined. If they continue like this, they’ll end up in the Office of Misuse of Magic.”
Mrs. Weasley poked the drawer containing the knives with her wand again, and the drawer sprang open.
Tierra, Harry, and Ron jumped back quickly, only to see several knives leap out of the drawer, flying across the kitchen and starting to chop potatoes with a sizzling sound.
The winnowing basket had just poured the potatoes back into the sink.
“I really don’t understand what’s wrong with our education,” Mrs. Weasley said, putting down her wand and pulling out several stew pots. “It’s been like this for years, one mess after another, and they just won’t listen—oh, that’s not right either!”
She picked up her wand from the table, and the wand let out a piercing scream, turning into a giant rubber mouse.
"It's those fake wands again!" Mrs. Weasley roared angrily. "How many times have I told them not to leave these things lying around everywhere!"
She grabbed the real wand, turned around, and found that the cream sauce on the stove was already smoking.
"Let's go! Hurry up!" Ron grabbed a handful of cutlery from an open drawer and said urgently, "When Mom starts complaining, that's when we should leave, or she'll start picking on you." They went into the garden and helped Bill and Charlie set out the dishes and cutlery.
Dinner doesn't start until 7 p.m.
Before that, Tyella took out his "Amitabha Gatling gun," strapped it to his right arm, and asked George Weasley and Fred Weasley for eight dung bullets, loaded them into the Gatling gun, and then—
"emission!"
The eight-browed dung bullet shot towards the hill behind the humble dwelling.
“That’s fantastic!” George Weasley exclaimed. “That’s fantastic!”
"Can you make dung bombs into these tracked bullets?" Tierra asked, pulling out a diagram of a Gatling gun bullet. "That way, Weasley jokes won't just be for entertainment; they could even be used as a weapon."
"But why would we need to use offensive tactics?" Fred Weasley asked, puzzled. "We make jokes to bring laughter to people."
“Because if it’s turned into an offensive weapon… it’s very likely that the Auror Command will take notice and purchase it,” Tierra said. “Every year during the crackdown on dark wizards, a large number of Aurors are injured or killed. If they had my weapon that can fire dung bombs continuously, they might be able to reduce their casualties a bit… And if Madam Weasley knew that your invention had been acquired by the Auror Command, she might not stop you from continuing to research these things.”
Fred and George exchanged a glance, both seeing a spark of attraction in each other's eyes.
“We did it,” George said.
"The thought of those dark wizards possibly being covered in our dung bombs makes me want to—hahahaha!" Fred suddenly laughed. "I can't take it anymore, the image is too vivid! Hahahaha!"
George laughed along with him.
By seven o'clock, the two tables, weighed down by the weight of Mrs. Weasley's skillful preparations of delicious dishes, were groaning under the weight. The Weasley family of nine, along with Tyella, Harry, and Hermione, sat down to eat under the clear, deep blue night sky. For Tyella, who had been drinking the potion of immortality all summer, it felt like heaven. She was so engrossed in eating chicken, ham pies, boiled potatoes, and salad that she barely spoke—
They even had to resort to flesh magic to speed up their digestion so they could eat more.
While Tierra enjoyed his meal, Percy talked about his work, Mrs. Weasley was concerned about Bill's attire, and Harry and the rest of the Weasley family were discussing the upcoming Quidditch match.
After a satisfying meal, it was time to go to bed.
They ate some more of the Weasleys' homemade ice cream, then went back to their rooms to sleep.
However, the Weasley twins clearly had no intention of sleeping and continued to pester Tyella with questions.
Tierra had no choice but to take out her entire collection of works and display them again.
