Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 718 Dumbledore's Shock

Chapter 718 Dumbledore's Shock

"How did it go?" Dumbledore, who was staying at the top of the tower due to illness, took a big gulp of the chilled honey lemonade that his house-elf had brought him. "How did the talks with those Grindelwald saints go?"

"Sigh," Tyrell sighed helplessly as she sat opposite Dumbledore, playing chess with him. "Politics, huh?"

"Politics is fun, isn't it?" Dumbledore chuckled gleefully.

At this time, Dumbledore had just finished an interesting trip and returned to Hogwarts to rest.

“Fun, fun, but their ancestors are even fun,” Tierra said viciously. It seemed that only in front of Dumbledore, who knew him inside and out, could he briefly shed his disguise and stop pretending to be so mysterious or aloof.

“Arthur reported your plan to me,” Dumbledore said without hesitation, leaning back in his office chair.

“Perfect,” Dumbledore commented. “Much more perfect than my or Gellert’s plans and ideas.”

“Thank you for your compliment.” Tierra waved her hand, and a pot of black tea, two teacups, and a whole chocolate vanilla pie appeared on the desk in front of Dumbledore.

“Then the work to be done by you young people will have to be done.” Dumbledore looked at Tyella, picked up his teacup and took a sip of his black tea.

“Yes, we will do our best,” Tierra replied with a gentle smile.

“I believe you will do very well,” Dumbledore continued, wanting to offer more words of encouragement, but the next moment—

"Ding-dong—"

Dumbledore felt a strong tremor, as if the whole world was shaking, and the bottles and jars in the headmaster's office clattered together with a very crisp tinkling sound.

However, this intense tremor only lasted for a very short time.

“Earthquakes seem to be getting more frequent lately.” Dumbledore silently put down his half-splashed cup of black tea, then used a cleansing spell to wash the tea stains off his wizarding robes. “Yes.” Tyella waved her hand, helping Dumbledore put the broken bottles and jars in his office back to their original positions.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute." Dumbledore squinted and looked around.

“These little darlings of mine have been broken more than once, haven’t they?” Dumbledore asked.

“Like you said, earthquakes have been happening more and more frequently lately, so I have to take care of your office while you’re away, right?” Tierra said casually.

“This earthquake…it doesn’t seem like a normal earthquake,” Dumbledore said. “I remember the Scottish Highlands aren’t on a seismic belt.”

“Your knowledge is truly extensive,” Tierra praised.

"What's going on?" Dumbledore asked bluntly.

“It was me who did it,” Tierra said with a laugh. “I’m slowly distancing the British Isles from the European continent.”

"You can do that?" Dumbledore asked, somewhat shocked.

“Why not?” Tierra retorted. “I have to leave the wizards a way out. You know, my plans are only based on the most ideal scenario. What if the Muggle government refuses to accept us? What if—”

“No, no, no, I mean, is there really such a spell that can do all this?” Dumbledore asked.

“Of course,” Tierra replied. “I was able to summon a meteorite from outer space when I was in fourth grade.”

My health is improving, but I can't resist the bombardment of everyone's monthly votes, and I feel I shouldn't let everyone down.
