Chapter 867 Debt, Repayment

Chapter 867 Debt, Repayment

The Buddha was well-versed in the law of cause and effect, and he was not merely skilled in the law of cause and effect, such as picking flowers and burying seeds.

Furthermore, there is the law of cause and effect, and the transfer of karmic consequences.

They directly transfer their own karma to others who owe karma to the Buddha.

Repaying debts is justified.

Anyone who has sought help from the Buddha, or received teachings or life-saving grace, has incurred a karmic debt to the Buddha.

This is equivalent to incurring a debt, and the Buddha will not force anyone to repay the karmic debt in a timely manner.

Because this cause and effect will exist forever, when the Buddha needs it, he will use his own methods to reclaim the cause and effect.

In this time of crisis, the Buddha used this thread of cause and effect to transfer his own karma to others, which can be considered as settling his karma.

In such situations, it is the Buddha who unilaterally uses the law of cause and effect to resolve the cause and effect, leaving no room for maneuver for you.

When people sit at home, disaster comes from heaven.

All Bodhisattvas and Arhats who do not take the Buddha seriously and fail to repay their karmic debts in time, and even the Buddha himself, will be used as shields when the Buddha is in danger.

Maitreya Buddha's exclamation was because he knew that the Seven Stars of the Supreme Mysterious Spirit in the Central Heaven, the Light of Death, was extremely powerful. This spell was not aimed at any individual, but rather was developed for the entire power of Mount Ling.

A single Bodhisattva could not possibly help the Buddha absolve himself of all karmic debts. The Buddha perfectly transferred this [Supreme Mysterious Spirit Seven Stars of Death Light] to others, and countless Bodhisattvas and Arhats died as a result.

As long as Mount Ling exists, the Buddha will not die. This is the greatest help that Mount Ling can give to the Buddha, a great immortal.

The solution to this causal law is quite simple: follow Yang Zhu's theory of preserving one's true nature.

Not a hair is plucked, not a hair is damaged.

As long as the people of Lingshan can repay the kindness of the Buddha in their daily lives and avoid getting entangled in karma.

The calamities of today will not befall them.

Having grasped the principle of the Buddha's law of cause and effect, Hu Xiuwu clicked his tongue, realizing that the situation was indeed troublesome; no Grand Luo Golden Immortal was easy to deal with. However, a thought, a bittersweet smile, arose in his mind:
Fortunately, the mortals of Xiniu Hezhou are not affected by the Buddha's law of cause and effect.

Because what the Buddha gave them was far less than what He received from mortals.

It is He who owes mortals, not mortals who owe Him. It is ridiculous that believers go to temples every day to burn incense and worship Buddha, passively offering spiritual gifts, yet they always feel that they are not devout enough.

Little did they know that Buddha had already wronged them greatly.

'As expected, killing a Grand Luo Golden Immortal is never so easy.'

Hu Xiuwu took a deep breath and touched Maitreya Buddha with his divine sense.

Maitreya Buddha felt as if struck by lightning, and couldn't help but sigh in his heart: "Those are all fellow disciples who once listened to the Buddha's sermons, the mainstay of Buddhism on Mount Ling. Why did the Buddha do this?"

The Buddha stopped pretending and said expressionlessly, "They have enjoyed a thousand years of peace and comfort under my canopy. Today it is time to return it to me."

"Isn't a thousand years worth paying with one's life?"

Maitreya Buddha shook his head: "Sophistry. The Buddha never told you the price, and you took it without asking. How is this any different from stealing?"

The disciples of Lingshan thought that cultivating on Lingshan meant only serving the Buddha, and they never knew that one day the Buddha would use them as a shield.

Some of them were truly willing, but others probably weren't. There were also some young novices who had only heard the Buddha preach a few times and then died for no reason, which was a great pity.

The Buddha sneered, "Maitreya, if you truly sympathize with them, then join me in taking down Hu Xiuwu as soon as possible, or tell me what the Zhou Tian Star Array is all about."

"The faster I take him down, the fewer people will die on Ling Mountain."

Maitreya Buddha shook his head and said firmly, "But as long as you are here, people will die on Mount Ling sooner or later." "Benefactor Xiuwu, please cast the Zhou Tian Star Array again. This time it will definitely work."

What Hu Xiuwu wanted was this phrase from Maitreya Buddha.
Why didn't Hu Xiuwu send Maitreya Buddha away, but instead let Maitreya Buddha, a Taiyi Golden Immortal, watch him fight against Tathagata Buddha?

This is because Maitreya Buddha is the future Buddha of Mount Ling, and he is one of the few Buddhas on Mount Ling who is proficient in the law of cause and effect.

If Maitreya Buddha were willing to help him with all his might, he might be able to restrain the law of cause and effect of Tathagata Buddha.

"Oh, Maitreya, are you so confident that you can surpass me in the way of cause and effect!"

The Buddha appeared confident on the surface, but his mind was racing, trying to figure out what secrets he had given Maitreya Buddha. His murderous intent towards Maitreya Buddha grew stronger.

However, even with the Buddha's Ten Powers already burning hot, he still couldn't figure out how Maitreya Buddha could restrain His Law of Cause and Effect and the Transfer of Karmic Debts.

Hu Xiuwu's attacks do not change according to the Buddha's wishes.

Even though the Buddha had not yet grasped the mystery, the attack still landed on His head.

The Buddha once again smelled the stench of sweat emanating from his body.

[The Seven Stars of the Supreme Mysterious Spirit in the Central Heaven bestow the Light of Death]

Under the vast starry sky, even a Great Immortal would appear insignificant.

The Buddha was helpless; Hu Xiuwu could not withstand the Great Sun True Fire, nor could he withstand the Four Swords of Zhuxian.

Similarly, even the Buddha could not withstand the prolonged trials of the "Seven Stars of the Supreme Mysterious Spirit in the Central Heaven, Infusing Death with Divine Light".

A tentative attempt to apply the law of causality again—to transfer the consequences of one's actions—to shift the blame for the injury.

At the same time, the Buddha Tathagata paid close attention, concentrating intently on trying to see through what means Maitreya Buddha was using to restrict His law of cause and effect.

Under the law of cause and effect, debts are exchanged for debts, and injuries are transferred, resulting in another group of Lingshan believers being injured or even dying.

Maitreya Buddha couldn't bear it: "Amitabha Buddha, well done, well done."

"Perhaps Buddha has forgotten that we, who are worshipped by others, owe a debt to all living beings."

???

What are you all blabbering about?

The Buddha Tathagata did not understand what Maitreya Buddha was saying.

Maitreya Buddha raised his hand, and the threads of cause and effect scattered outwards, forming a canopy of countless threads, perhaps even trillions.

One part is connected to the Buddha and Maitreya, and the other part is scattered throughout Xiniuhezhou.

"Buddha, these are the beings we have wronged!"

Compared to the karmic debts owed to Buddha by the disciples of Mount Ling, Buddha harvested the spiritual essence of all beings, causing their fortunes to decline and their lifespans to shorten.

Isn't Buddha indebted to all living beings?

Maitreya Buddha put his hands together and said, "Why don't we cut off our flesh and feed it to the eagle today, so that we can return our cultivation to all living beings?"

The law of cause and effect: transferring the consequences of one's actions.

But this time, it was a reverse transfer. Maitreya Buddha used the new Buddha blood that Hu Xiuwu had just extracted to connect his energy with that of Tathagata Buddha, and then reversed the law of cause and effect to transfer the karmic debt.

The disciples of Mount Ling repay their debts to the Buddha.

Even the Buddha should repay his debts to all sentient beings.
